JOEY DTLA

While visiting LA last week Friday, for my husband’s birthday, we stopped in after seeing great reviews on TikTok and this place did not disappoint. We were greeted with great attitudes, glasses of champagne, and a great ambiance! The restaurant itself boasts of matte black trimmings, wood tones, warm lighting, and textures like marble, dark tan leather and wicker. It’s a whole vibe! Service was great! Our server was wonderful and the food was amazing! We’re back home in GA and I’m still craving the chargrilled pork chop, steak and lobster combo and the bang bang chicken! All delicious! I will go there every time I’m in LA.

I had a lot of fun going here. Parking was like $44 for overnight or all night maximum. I got it validated at Joey DTLA so it got subtracted $40 so it was only four dollars. I came in I did a walk-in waited about 25 minutes. I was served complementary champagne while waiting for my table. That felt like an upscale service. Restroom hallway was a different experience than usual. It felt like walking into a dungeon or Harry Potter chamber of secrets. It was mysterious, Gothic like, and it was pretty clean too. There were around 5 private unisex restrooms. Once I was able to get my table, I was greeted by server Vanessa. She asked me for my food restrictions and she accommodated me really well. Gave me some time to find what I wanted to order with my party and I was served in a timely manner. I feel like service was exceptional and I enjoyed catching up with my cousins while eating a great meal with them here at Joey DTLA. I had the low coconut alcohol drink, and it was refreshing for the evening. Also tasted the spaghetti garlic steak. It was cooked to perfection. I love the tenderness, as well as, the spicy crab dip. I loved it, especially since crab season. I have been craving crab. I enjoyed the sushi, it was delicious and the citrus lime enhanced the flavor. I had a great time enjoying the meal and I would come back. It had TVs with the sports on and many tables, great even if I had to wait highly recommend. I also liked the jacket hooks by the booth. Things I didn’t like as much: Pretty noisy and low lighting. I heard Chris Brown songs played 3 times in a row. That’s the only things I disliked. This was the reason I removed a star.

First time visiting JOEY DTLA to celebrate a birthday on a busy Saturday night. Located within The Bloc outdoor shopping center. The restaurant offers complimentary champagne (you might need to ask the hosts about availability) near the front entrance. The decor has a modern, stylish vibe and a lively atmosphere. Our party had a reservation and were seated promptly in a booth near the kitchen. The food and drinks were tasty and arrived pretty fast. Five stars for our server Chase, who gave exceptional, friendly service with great food and drink recommendations. He also made sure the birthday girl felt special during dinner. All the food was prepared perfectly, no complaints there. There's a parking structure on the corner of The Bloc, but it can get pretty expensive. It's $4 a minute with a max daily rate of $44. There are more affordable parking lots nearby! Dinner (as pictured): Food: Herb Crust Salmon, Steak and Sushi plate, Apple Pie, Mini French Dips, and Molten Lava Cake. Drinks: Coconut Smash (low proof cocktail), Strawberry Cool (zero proof), and Sangria. I’m sure their other cocktails are worth a try (responsibly) too!

My colleague and I ate here for lunch because it was very convenient to where we were staying (the Sheraton Grand next door). The food was very tasty and we had some Coronas but I was surprised how limited their tap beer selection is. Service was prompt and friendly but also the restaurant was very empty for lunch on a Wednesday. The environment on the street isn't ideal and intrudes on the atmosphere of the restaurant. Vagrants hanging outside on the sidewalk, the smell of Marijuana wafting in from outside, and the constant sound of sirens downtown, all impact the experience here.

This is my third time dining in at the Joey DTLA and the experience was exceptional! Drina was an amazing server! She gave me exceptional service and made sure I was comfortable and had a seat with a great view!! Phenomenal customer service and the food is divine. This is my favorite date night spot and I love eating here before I go to the gym. Every time I come to the Joey they offer me a complimentary glass of champagne while I wait to be seated. Would 10/10 recommend this beautiful modern, industrial restaurant. This is also the perfect place to network.

We stopped into JOEY DTLA for a spontaneous date night and were immediately reminded why this place remains a standout. We originally planned to sit at a table (which they had available), but opted for the bar since there were two open seats; and I’m so glad we did. We were greeted by Stew, the bartender, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming from the start. Not only was he attentive to us, but he was equally engaged with all of his guests. As someone who works in the food industry, watching Stew command the bar with ease, confidence, and genuine hospitality was honestly impressive. Service like that makes all the difference. The drinks were superb. I ordered a dirty martini, and my partner had an Old Fashioned; both were executed beautifully. I recently had a terrible dirty martini elsewhere, so it was especially refreshing to enjoy one that was perfectly balanced and done right. For food, we started with the steak French dip, which was absolutely delicious (pro tip: order four instead of two). I also tried the udon carbonara, while my partner went with the JOEY cheeseburger, and wow… unbelievable. Truly one of those meals where every bite reminds you why classics exist for a reason. This was our first time back at JOEY DTLA in a few years, and it’s great to see that the service has not fallen off at all. If anything, it reinforced why this spot deserves a regular place in our date-night rotation. We’ll definitely be back. 🍸🍔✨

I want to recognize Taz, the hostess at Joey Downtown LA. I ordered to-go, and she took the time to give thoughtful recommendations and genuinely inquire about what I chose. It didn’t feel transactional—it felt personal. What stood out was how naturally she connected the conversation, even sharing her time spent in my home town. That kind of awareness and authenticity makes a lasting impression. She was warm, attentive, and carried herself with real professionalism. Joey is lucky to have her—she made a simple to-go order feel like a great experience.

Betsy was a great help! She was very responsive, resourceful, and prompt! The food was amazing! The ambience was wonderful, everyone in my party enjoyed their meal and experience! 10/10 would definitely recommend! Would definitely go back! And would definitely request Betsy! She was the best!!! Thank you so much!!

Ambience and taste was amazing. Vibes were excellent. It was our first time here and India recommended great meal and drink choices. Can't wait to come here again.

DERRICK, KEKE, TAM, and RUBY have been SO nice to me. This is my first trip and I am highly impressed by their hospitality.

We had a New Year's show to attend at the Orpheum Theatre nearby and we wanted to treat ourselves to delicious food with a great setting and this restaurant came up based on many recommendations. They DID NOT disappoint! We had reservations and while we waited they had complimentary champagne, what a cool treat! Everyone waiting was in a great mood as was the hostesses. We ordered the sea bass and a chicken Indian plate, they were both amazingly delicious! Two Dirty Martinis for me and I was an even happier camper! The ambiance was awesome, especially festive for a New Year's evening. We live in OC but definitely see ourselves visit again soon!

First time at this Joey Restaurant in DTLA and I have to say it's wasn't bad at all considering how bad Joey Restaurant in Manhatten Beach was. Food: The food was good. We ordered the crab cake, sushi tacos, fries, wings and fish tacos. We kept it simple but our friends did order other items as well. The food was fresh and got to the table in a reasonable time. I had no complaints. Good flavors but the portion size was on the small side for most of our items we ordered. Service: We got there super late (after 11pm) with a party of 6 and no reservations. They were super accommodating and put together a space for us within a couple minutes on the patio. The staff was kind and our waiter was informative about the items on the menu. He also gave us a heads up that the kitchen was closing soon so we kicked our orders into the gear and ordered everything at once. Great job on giving us some time to order everything we wanted. He also checked on us throughout our time there. Atmosphere: Cool vibe, nothing fancy, it was a good time and a great place to chill and have some table top conversations with friends. Our surrounding space was full of conversations laughter and smiles. Good vibe overall. The heat lamps kicked ass on the patio. Price: Unfortunately, the prices don't match the portion size and quality of food you get. It's definitely on the higher end. If your like my wife and me there are so many places that top this restaurant when it comes to price vs. Quality and proteins. It just is what it is. Location: It's located down town at 700 West 7th St. On the corner Tip: parking is horrendous and there is no parking next to the restaurant unless the parking gods open a spot on the street which never happens. We parked 4 blocks away and walked.

Joey DTLA is a hip restaurant that has lounge/bar vibes located in downtown Los Angeles right next to the Sheraton Grand. The menu is a mix of some Japanese inspired dishes and steak/American. Not sure if it's kid friendly as they don't have a formal kids menu but did verbally offer kid oriented options like butter noodles, cheeseburger or chicken tenders. My daughter LOVED the butter noodles, but then again, she loves spaghetti noodles in general. I got the steak and sushi and the steak was alright and the salmon sushi was nice with good flavors and crunch. It felt a bit overpriced though as the portions were tiny.

Had a team holiday lunch at Joey. We were greeted with champagne at the door. The staff were very kind throughout the lunch but food came out slowly as we had a big group and the restaurant was PACKED. For starters, we ordered the Miso Roasted Mushrooms, Mini Steak French Dips, and Korean Fried Cauliflower to share with the table. The mushrooms were my favorite starter. I'm a big mushroom fan. Several of my coworkers don't like mushrooms so I was consuming most of it. For my main, I ordered the Joey Classic Steak. The sirloin was cooked just as I had asked and was very tasty. The broccolini was a bit hard but tasted good. The crispy mashed potatoes were interesting. The first couple bites were good but the crust got soggy over time. I think I prefer regular mashed potatoes but admire the creativity. For my drink, I ordered the She Pretty which was very delightful. Highly recommend. For dessert, we ordered one of each to share with the table. My favorite was surprisingly the Butter Cake! Overall, I had an incredible experience at this restaurant and would highly recommend. Food was delicious, but it does help that the bill was on the company card

My fiancé and I went on a double date with our best friends last night and had an incredible time thanks to Joeys staff Risa & Kinnedra. Risa is a phenomenal waitress and we really appreciated her hospitality and overall service. We ordered a round of drinks to start and some appetizers. I absolutely loved the espresso martini with peanut butter whisky and my raspberry drop. If you love lemon drops this is the same thing but with raspberries lol For the appetizers I 10/10 recommend the Korean Fried Cauliflower & the Szechuan Chicken lettuce wraps. They were so delicious and flavorful and those two appetizers were plenty for us all to share. Now we did have some issues when it came to our entrees, they did arrive to our table cold. We politely let our server know and she took them back without hesitation. We totally understand that it was very busy and crowded that night. They brought back our plates and they were 100 times better. The men tho still had issues with their steaks being cooked incorrectly. They were taken back again and corrected. We also had the pleasure of trying the butter cake and chocolate cake. I personally LOVED the butter cake, I'm not a big chocolate fan but everyone else said it tasted great as well. The manager Kinnedra came to personally apologize to our table and thanked us for our patience. Everything was corrected and the staff took care of us. Probably some of the best customer service in the DTLA area. I wanted to note that Risa & Kinnedra are superb and I wish there were more people in the restaurant business like them. Great customer service keeps customers wanting to come back.

I went here last night before a comedy show. The gentleman at the counter said the wait would be an hour. Pressed for time, we told the him we had to leave and eat elsewhere. He was beyond accommodating, offered us champagne, and we were seated shortly after. Positives: The ambiance is great, patio seating is good to eat and people watch, and staff is top notch (host and hostess esp)! I love the salads. Hummus and fresh pitas are a quick snack. The loaded mashed potatoes (eggrolls) are the best and crème brûlée cheesecake is deeee-lish!! I wanted to try something different that is also a quick bite so the waitress recommended fish and shrimp tacos. Cons: Yuck! I had 1 shrimp in 1 of 2 tacos. Cod is VERY spongy! It looked like a dark meat of sorts. So much that I had to ask the waitress exactly what it was and how it was cooked because I am a pescatarian. Hot sauce didn't help and that's bad. Lol! I don't like returning food so I tried to stomach them. I couldn't, especially with corn tortillas that were barely warm and still l raw-looking. Two tacos + an upgrade from french fries to mashed potatoes =$30. Tacos alone are far from worth it. I could've ordered a full salmon plate or something else much better for equal price. If you park in the bloc garage, get your ticket validated. Otherwise, for barely an hour, you'll pay $36+. Geez! By the way, the Manhattan Beach location is better, imho.

I had a reservation at 12 for lunch though did not get seated until 12:45. Granted it was a busy lunch time and there were plenty of people there. The hosts did offer us some bubbles then we got seated shortly. It took awhile to order and when we did it also took a long time to get our food - please keep in mind that it was a very busy lunchtime. I think the main reason I'd give this place 3 stars is because the food was still really good though the service was not as good. My group and I knew it was a busy period though it felt like everyone was annoyed that we were there and that they were keeping us there as long as possible. Our lunch lasted a whole two hours plus a few minutes.

The management at Joey reached out to me after my initial visit and really felt that they cared about my experience. I was touched and decided to give them another chance to experience what all the other guests seem to rave about - the good service and amazing food. We took the train into downtown (Exit 7th/Metro), look for the sign and exit directly to the Bloc shopping center on 7th, you'll see Joey as you exit the station. Friday night was very busy...we were greeted by the hostess and offered the usual glass of sparking wine which is a touch I absolutely love. We made a reservation via open table and were seated promptly in the outdoor patio which was the best. I will always request it. Our server Risa was amazing. Her recommendations worked out well. The Supernova vodka soda was what I started with. If you like seltzers and drinks that aren't sweet, this is a great option. Per Risa's recommendation we had the Seared Salmon Sushi to start - it was absolutely to die for. For our entree I chose the Steak Frites and my other half had the Steak & Ravioli Bianco - the sauce the ravioli sat in was phenomenal. I'm not a ravioli person but I would definitely order this next time! Throughout dinner the Manager Jesse stopped by to check on us, Risa made sure our waters were never empty and everything came out quickly. Also, I saw that Jesse was a hands on manager, he was running around the entire time greeting people, helping the team and was very present which is one of the reasons this location is so successful. My opinion about this place completely changed and we will definitely be back. I will 100% request to sit in Risa's section - her beautiful smile and energy makes dining so much more enjoyable. Oh and cherry on top was the finale - dessert is a must. We were struggling to decide between the butter cake and molton chocolate and opted for the butter cake. Jesse surprised us by bringing out both options and we so appreciated his thoughtfulness - both were equally good! Thank you all (Deni, Jesse, Risa) for the amazing dining experience.

Stopped by after the Cinema at The Bloc for dinner. We're greeted with a glass of champagne and quickly seated by staff, who were all very friendly. Ordered the House Salad, Bollywood Butter Chicken and Korean Fried Cauliflower, which were good. The ambiance here is great, and they have a nice bar are where you can also catch a game on their televisions.

Friday Night. 8:30PM. It's our 11th Anniversary. Rez' made through Open Table. Easy. We walked into a party. Not a birthday party or wedding party or any of that. Just a full-on festive Friday night atmosphere full of life. We checked in with the hostess and within seconds, we were holding chilled glasses of sparkling wine. Great touch. Our anniversary love was solidified when we stepped into our window-side booth. It's like sliding into a slick urban jungle with nice touches of rich wood and plant life, with glass shimmering all around. How 'bout the food, you ask? 5 stars. What we had: OLD FASHIONED (ftr. Woodford's Reserve - A+) SAKE GLAZED CHILEAN SEA BASS (5) STEAK & RAVIOLI BLANCO (4.5) The seabass melted in our mouths. The warmed sake glaze was a light and effective layer. The steak & ravioli were quite good, the steak being the highlight. Possibly 30 seconds to a minute over on that ravioli, but otherwise, delish'. Our outstanding waitress, full of pep & vim, surprised us with a piece of BUTTER CAKE W/ ICE CREAM for our anniversary. Hot, melty, sweet and gorgeous. Yep, we had food sex, in public, right there at the table...and we're not apologizing.

I've been here twice now for work lunches, and both times have been lovely! Wednesday at 12:30 it was packed, too. Everyone enjoyed their meal & the steaks specifically. A few of us had the ahi tuna poke bowl and we all LOVED it. Fresh, great dressing/sauce, perfect portions. Avocado being $4 extra is wild but it made it better in my opinion! It took quite a while for our food to arrive as we got there at 12:40 and didn't get our food for about 45 minutes. We were all starving but happy as clams once we tasted our food. The location is in a cute little shopping center right by the Sheraton Grand, but on a bad street. Lots of homeless people/drugs right outside on that street, don't recommend walking alone at night, but daytime is OK. We'll be back for sure.

Yesterday I had the worst experience at Joey DTLA the hostess Isabelle literally kicked my party of four and I out the moment we paid. Despite the fact we did not ask for our bill and we still had food and a full bottle of wine at our table. She did not let us finish and with the rudest attitude said, "Okay now I need you to leave." We asked what the reason was, and she said it was due to the booked reservations. There was no one in the waiting area, and when we asked the front hostess if they were busy or short staffed, they happily said no we can take you in right now. Not realizing we were just kicked out. Server was great. Isabelle ruined the night.

We came here for brunch on a Saturday and it wasn't too busy. We made a reservation but I don't think I was necessary. The restaurant was pretty big and had indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant is very pretty and great for dates and large groups. Our server Andrew was really helpful. He gave us complimentary champagne and he patiently explained menu items to us. Everything came out fairly quickly so that was great. He also checked in to see if we were okay with waiting for all the food to come out at once vs one at a time. At the end of the brunch he gave my friend (the future bride) a congratulations brownie as well. I'm also vegetarian and he took the time to make sure I knew what my options were and confirm they were vegetarian friendly. The food was really good. Everyone liked what they got. The group order the sea bass, sushi, butter chicken (tofu) , and the pomodoro pasta, and truffle fries. I'm Indian and the curry tasted authentic. The drinks were also amazing. I got the sangria and I loved it. There is a parking lot/structure next on the same block as the restaurant where they validate.

I had the pleasure of being served by Rob during my recent visit, and I have to say, the experience was outstanding from start to finish.

Been wanting to come to Joey's for a while now and I finally came! My friends and I had a reservation on a Sunday at 4:30pm. Upon arrival, we checked in and were given flutes of champagne as we waited for our table. The wait wasn't long. We ordered the truffle parm fries, tuna & avocado crunch roll, steak and sushi (seared salmon), & Korean fried cauliflower. I ordered the steak and sushi (seared salmon) with a Joey 75 champagne cocktail (not pictured.) I honestly prefer a regular French 75. You should know that I highly recommend the steak and sushi (seared salmon) 10/10! Joey's vibe is very classy, very demure. You can honestly come at any time of day.

We visited Joey DTLA after the Penn State vs. USC game to celebrate the closing of our business conference, and it was a fantastic choice. Our server, India, was a total star--kind, attentive, and her recommendations were absolutely perfect. We kicked off the night with drinks, and the Moscow Mule was simply outstanding--perfectly balanced with a refreshing, zesty kick that made it one of the best we've ever had. For appetizers, we had the lettuce wraps, which had a delicious Szechuan spice, adding a great kick to the fresh flavors. The sushi was fresh and beautifully presented, and the upgraded filet was cooked to perfection--so tender and flavorful. The butter chicken was another highlight, rich and flavorful, paired with warm, soft naan bread. One of our friends ordered the Chilean sea bass, and they were blown away by how perfectly it was cooked--flaky and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The atmosphere was perfect for our group--lively but still comfortable, making it a great spot to unwind. From the amazing service to the stellar food and drinks, Joey DTLA exceeded our expectations in every way. If you're looking for the perfect place for great cocktails, delicious food, and an unforgettable vibe, look no further. Highly recommend!

Came here on a whim to celebrate engagement ring shopping! We ordered on happy hour and the food and drinks were delicious! Our favorite is the gyoza here - best in LA! Service was very quick and friendly. We also loved the ambiance here - we sat in a booth and liked that there was some plexiglass between diners and people walking by on the street. Felt safe and had a great time! They even wrote us a little congratulatory message on the dessert which was so sweet (and very delicious!)

I haven't been here forever. If you wanna bar to go to, but you want a staple in Los Angeles then you have to come to Joyce in downtown LA. The parking is about a block from every corner. Range between 10 and $15. The food was delicious and I love how they have a Mocktail list here in the pretty glasses. Not that many places have that. Also, I got the truffle fries and I got the butter cake in the chocolate lava cake. The chocolate lava cake was absolutely delicious especially if you are a chocolate lover like meat. I wish the butter cake was a little bit warmer than that. It was amazing.

There are some experiences that are simply elite and though I can describe what made it elite, it simply wouldn't do the experience justice. Yet I'll still try. We came to Joey DTLA on a random Thursday evening without a reservation. During our 5 minute wait, they offered us a welcome champagne glass. It was tasty. We were seated initially near the kitchen but mother wanted more of an outdoor view so they kindly moved us to a patio table which was much more to our taste. And it was heated. As we sat down, a man, we later learned was named Larry, came up to us and asked us if we lost any jewelry. It took us a minute and Larry very patiently waited until mother realized she lost one of her bracelets (one of 7). Larry handed it to her and the extreme gratitude she felt was exceptional because of all her bracelets, this was the only one that was gifted to her from father so it had the most meaning to her. Larry had noticed it on the ground where we had sat at the front of the restaurant and kindly brought it to us. The immense gratitude we have towards Larry truly elevated our experience and whatever you are paying this man is simply not enough. Once that was all figured out, we ordered. I ordered the steak and sushi (tuna and avocado). The steak was exceptional, the sushi was unfortunately just okay and imo I wouldn't get the sushi again. Mother got the vegetable pasta and she couldn't stop raving at how amazing it was. I got to taste it and amazing it was indeed. Finally cousin had the steak frittes and it came with a rocket greens which, omg, was one of the best salads I have ever tasted. I would highkey just get a full plate of that rocket greens salad as my main meal it was that good. We ended up having 2 servers during our meal and both were amazingly kind and attentive. On our way out, mother sought out Larry to thank him again and we all got to talking to him and this man is truly a blessing and a gem. Thank you for making our evening absolutely elite and if this spot isn't on your itinerary when visiting LA, I strongly recommend you reconsider because it is truly a must!

Was here for a large business dinner. They had our table outside - this was great. Or was a little quieter than inside and we could have conversations across the table The service by Angela was amazing. The food was excellent with lots of variety, including vegetarian options. All is all well done.

I've been to three different JOEY restaurants now (Manhattan Beach, Newport Beach & DTLA) and the quality of the dishes and customer service are parallel. You can expect to receive the same great service at each location and the DTLA location is worth mentioning. The ambiance was perfect for a girl's night out, date night, birthday celebration, you name it. While every dish was delicious, the standout here was truly the Korean fried cauliflower. The steak was cooked beautifully, but was on the saltier side for me. The crab cakes also felt as though it was missing an element. Nonetheless, the dinner overall was memorable. Happy eating everyone!

Can't go wrong with Joeys for a happy hour. Their complimentary champagne upon entry always sets the mood. Parm fries are a must to start off with. This time around I tried their crispy tuna roll, fresh and hit the spot. I got the hummus which is usually a banger, but today it didn't do it for me and I can't quite put my finger on why. Parking is treacherous as it's in DTLA, I would suggest garage parking if you're gonna be there awhile.

Joey DTLA had tasty food, a great ambiance, but the food wasn't necessarily worth the cost. I got a wam tofu bowl which was great as a vegetarian option but a modest size for the cost. Great for a quick business lunch!

My co workers and I decided to come to Joeys for lunch at the last minute. We had a group of 9 with no reservation. The hostess immediately responded with a smile and said she loved a challenge. All that to say the staff was AMAZING from start to finish. The restaurant is very cute and inviting. I lived the modern decor and fun ambiance. We all lived our food. The ingredients were quality and taste was great!! I loved the hummus appetizer and I had the poke bowl. Our server was Dustin and he gave the greatest recommendations. He also made sure none of us had food allergies or restrictions. He got us things before we even asked. Our entire group was so happy with his service. We love you Dustin!!!!!

Walked in today to have lunch with my two young kids before we head out as we visit the downtown LA area. As visitors from another large city so disappointed that an empty restraint at peak lunch time didn't have a server to assist us so we were set aside to wait while others were served Maybe it was more than that sure felt classist. No thank you I'll my money elsewhere.

Went on a date night with my fiancé to Joey DTLA. The entire experience was top-notch! We were greeted with a glass of champagne while we waited for our reservation table. Jesse, who is the manager there, was incredibly attentive, and really good at his job. Our server Risa was awesome! Recommendations were spot on for our pallets, and she made the experience incredibly wonderful. We had some seared salmon sushi as an appetizer, and it was really good. For our entrée, we had the steak and ravioli Bianco. That was also delicious! Meant to finish off the night, we had both the chocolate lava cake, and the butter cake, both were decadent, and really tasty! We will definitely be going back there next time we're in downtown at dinner time!!

This place was so good I didn't even have time to take a picture of my actual plate. I'm a New York native and always hear positive reviews about this place, all the things I've heard are true. Its amazing, from the service to the quality of your drinks and food. Our servers were really busy the night I arrived and they still found ways to check in on our table, make sure we were set and comfortable. I ordered the steak and it was cooked to perfection. I have absolutely no complaints and would probably order it again. The place itself is very modern looking, clean and social. I dressed casually but others dress up to come here for sure. I 100% recommend you dining here at any time if you're in the area.

Came here late Saturday night without a reservation, but there was no wait. The host, Aquile, offered us some free champagne before seating us. Our server, Cierra, was super attentive and followed up with us. My group and I were immediately impressed with the service! We ordered the hummus, korean fried cauliflower, szechuan chicken lettuce wraps, crab cakes and seared salmon sushi. Everything was fresh and tasty, and nicely presented! There is some house/edm music playing in the background, but not too loud where you can't carry a conversation. Would definitely come here with a group of friends!

I used to LOVE JOEY in Bellevue, and I was a regular when I lived up there. This place is well put together, and their food and drinks are in point like all of their locations. Clean bathrooms! This location, though, tends to have slower service. Almost every time I go with friends, that is my experience. So I'm docking a star.

Ambiance was amazing! The energy and lighting of the space made it so fun. There's free sparkling wine when you walk in, i think this is because the dishes are incredibly overpriced. The service was very intensive and kind. Sushi and Steak dinner is such a fun combo though! I loved it and it was delicious

Absolutely appalled by this experience. Employ more people by hiring them to keep your bathrooms clean. So I don't have this godawful encounter of having to use the restroom and someone in need of an income has the opportunity for one. A win win.

Top notch service from the moment we walked in until the moment we left!! Our party of 5 was greeted with complimentary glasses of champagne during our short wait for our table we still had champagne in our glasses as we walked to our table. The menu is extensive for anyone to find anything they're in the mood for. We ordered a variety of dishes that included truffle fries, steak and ravioli, Cajun blackened chicken (my dish, amazing!!) Bollywood butter chicken, Chilean sea bass, sushi bowl, wine, etc. Every dish was great compliments around the table. Wine list was perfectly balanced. Fire pits as you enter gave a great look and ambiance. Bar looked awesome with tv's overhead so you don't miss a moment of the game. Our half moon booth gave us a perfect angle for everyone to speak each other and not have to shout and still be able to hear everyone. Definitely have to check this place out if you're anywhere near LA!!!

I got the steak and ravioli here with an add on of lobster. The ravioli and lobster were delicious with both being cooked perfectly and seasoned well. However, the steak was pretty disappointing. It was overly salty and very tough like it was overcooked even though it was still pink. This was a similar theme for our whole party. The service was good with the server being very attentive but food also took a very long time to come out even though it wasn't too busy. Overall id still recommend trying this place out but just avoid the steak!

The restaurant itself is really cute. Make sure you make a reservation. We were greeted with champagne on Saturday for brunch. The food was good. It had a little bit of everything from sushi, burgers and steaks. For the drinks I was a little disappointed. I ordered a skinny margarita and it was so salty I had to send it back. I got a bloody Maria instead and let's just say it was much better. I would go back but would like to try their other location in Newport.

I've heard so many things about this place and so glad I was taken here on a date. It's a cute place in DTLA, but the vibe and ambiance feels like a bar type. The service was good and servers always make sure we are good and ask if we need anything. We got drinks and Truffle Parmesan Fries to start. The fries were good just wished I could taste the truffle more and the fries could be a little more crispier. I ordered the sushi cone and it was good. The shrimp tempura in it was good and it was a good small bite. I ordered the Chicken Parmesan and it was definitely filling that I couldn't finish it. I had to have my boyfriend help eat some of it. He ordered the steak and sushi. The steak was good but it was a little over cooked. The sushi was alright, because the rice felt like it was old since the sushi kept falling apart. Overall this was a cute place and the vibe was nice and music was good. I'd come back for drinks and other food!

Joeys was amazing , we arrived a bit stressed from LA TRAFFIC and thankful for Larry who took care of everything getting our car parked and then guided us to the restaurant. Food was outstanding especially the tuna avocado roll! Larry even checked in on us later. Service and food were impeccable.

We were not offered complimentary Champagne while we waited. Sat night not busy, prob 15 min wait time. We only came here cuz Perch wait was ridiculous. Spacious huge interior Bathrooms are tiny & felt like they were from the Titanic era. Food was legit, I liked the mashed potatoes stuffed in an egg roll or something of that sort. Expresso martini was an 8/10 . Service was great as far as the food . Our waitress could have been a little more attentive but that's ok. Ambience is loud, fun for a group of people.

Went to this restaurant after a good gym session and they were very accommodating. It wasn't pretentious, the atmosphere was welcoming but darker than I recall from prior visits. After getting on the list, we were treated to some complimentary sparkling which was great, and they also brought out some appetizer sliders for everyone that was waiting for a table, so the "waitlist service" was a nice touch. The food was good, pretty solid prime new york strip and chicken salad, but nothing that amazed me. I very much enjoyed the medium rare prime strip and the chicken salad was not dry, so that's always a plus, but the dressing was a little strong for my personal preference. The service was on the slower side, but if you're out for a casual evening, it can be quite nice. I had the mango margarita and the peach bellini, both of which were good, but not impressive, the flavors were not as vibrant as I had hoped, and for the price, I had expected better. Overall, a good place to go for food with friends. A good variety of drinks, but haven't had anything impressive. The food was good quality, standard, but did not blow me away as far as the balance of value with expectation. The downtown location is convenient if you're going out afterward. Would come back to Joey DTLA, but I do personally prefer the Joey Manhattan Beach location for the ambiance.

Parking!!! It's downtown you gotta find it! Vibes are always good and music keeps the mood right! Device is exceptionally well despite being busy. Our waitress is very attentive. The Cauliflower I'm gonna say it!! It's the best i ever had!! Hands down! I've tried other but it doesn't compare. The passionfruit it's one of a kind. Like their signature drink! But that's my sayin! The crowd a bit different in d town versus the El Segundo crowd. Overall I like this place. It can be a date night or a casual one. Give it a try

Joey has been on my list for a minute. My boyfriend and I walked in without reservations. We were greeted with champagne while we waited for our table. The ambiance was vibrant and busy. Food: We started with Japanese Gyoza, which is a must! 10/10. I was curious to try the Steak & Sushi since it's a popular dish. It did not disappoint, 9/10. My boyfriend ordered the Steak with Lobster, and he said it was satisfying; the steak was cooked to his liking-10/10. Drinks: I ordered a spicy passionfruit margarita, which I doubled. I gave it a 7/10 and an old-fashioned one, which was great! 10/10. My boyfriend had an IPA. We were happy with the service; the music and the vibe were lively. The music was quiet. The bar area is excellent for having a drink and catching a game. Parking is about $40+, but if you have time, save some $ and look for a more affordable parking garage - you may need to walk a little more.

This was my first time dining at JOEY and I am was very pleased with experience. From the service to the food, everything was fantastic. I made reservations for two prior and had no issues with seating. We were seated on the outdoor patio which was such a vibe. The plants and interior design of this location was stunning. I ended up splitting the steak frites and it was a nice portion. The steak was bursting with flavor and had me wanting more. For dessert, we shared the chocolate molten lava cake which was so yum!! The restaurants also validates for parking which is a huge plus. I would definitely recommend this spot for a date night.

JOEY DTLA is the most forgettable restaurant I've been to recently. Sure the food was OK but it was also relatively expensive. Not a good combo. There are so many great restaurants in downtown Los Angeles and I'm sure you can do better.

Great Food. Great Service. Great Vibes. I could go on and on about Dee But she truly elevated our dining experience. Her warm personality, genuine care, and attentive service made us feel so welcome. Dee is a true asset to Joey DTLA and a big reason why we'll be back.

Praised, but in reality, it was disappointing. Most disappointing was the fact that we were seemingly offered a separate room for a group meeting with a presentation, but in reality were parked in a super noisy semi outdoor section. The food was reasonable, but not outstanding and altogether, I do not see any immediate reason to come back.

I came by Joey's last Friday night for dinner. Upon our arrival, my date & I were given a complimentary glass of champagne. It was delicious. Not too sweet & not too dry. Perfection. I wish I would've asked what brand it was to purchase a bottle. The restaurant was beautifully furnished. I liked the open kitchen concept. The vibes were very sexy and romantic. We were seated on the patio area which was comfortable and spacious. Our server was very friendly and the customer service was great. I ordered the steak frites and a mango mai tai. The steak was seasoned perfectly! It was so flavorful. The fries were salted well also. Even the arugula salad tasted good. I was quite surprised. My drink was okay. It didn't have the typical mai tai flavor, but it looked pretty. My date had the bacon cheeseburger and I don't recall the drink he ordered. He was content with his meal as well. I'll most definitely come back, but would order a larger steak because I'm greedy. ;)
