The 24 Best Restaurants in Houston

"Executive chef Chris Mills and Matthew Stowe know what they're doing; the menu's influences are global, from Mediterranean hummus to Szechuan tofu and Japanese gyoza. There is something to please every globetrotter here, from truffle fries to sushi—and it is in this sense that JOEY's Uptown sets its tone apart from others. The menu features Italian pasta, including a steak and lobster ravioli. The execution—for all the varied dishes—is on point, and items like the roasted corn guacamole are a standout, as are the poke bowls. The large 8,434-square-foot restaurant interior is decidedly green, with plant accents, leather seating, and a living green ceiling. The patio features a retractable roof and is a stunning place to watch the weather change with a glass of wine." - Charu Suri, Diana Oates

A Canadian Eatery Called Joey Will Take Over the Galleria Space Vacated By Yauatcha - Eater Houston

"Stalwart Canadian casual eatery Joey, which opened its first location in Calgary nearly three decades ago, is headed to Houston. Joey Restaurants CEO Jeff Fuller confirmed the chain’s plans to expand to Texas (among other locales) to Canadian business news publication Biv on Wednesday. As for where it will end up? A tipster pointed Eater in the direction of construction permit applications filed in December that indicate that it will open in the Westheimer Road space that currently houses Yauatcha, the glitzy Galleria dim sum restaurant operated by the Hakkasan Group that’s set to close on February 16. For those who are unfamiliar with Joey, the chain currently operates more than two dozen locations across Canada and the United States, including outposts in Seattle and Los Angeles. The menus for other Joey locations span a variety of influence, from Mediterranean hummus to sushi to Baja chicken tacos and “Bollywood” butter chicken. No word yet on when Joey will make its Houston debut, but it’s apparently “close.” Stay tuned for more details on its arrival." - Amy McCarthy

Bryce was our server, and he was by far one of the best I’ve encountered in customer service in a long time. His personality was phenomenal-welcoming, genuine, and down-to-earth. As it was my first visit, he took the time to recommend food and drink options, which we truly appreciated. We were celebrating our engagement, and the experience made it even more special. Our table was beautifully decorated with rose petals and a bottle of champagne! Such a thoughtful touch! Thank you, Bryce and Joey Uptown, for the exceptional service. We will absolutely be returning!

I celebrated my birthday with a large group of friends yesterday. The service was great even though they messed up some of our orders but they fixed it quickly. They even prepared a birthday card for me!! Super sweet 🥹 I’m glad I picked this place. We all had a great time. The buttermilk cake is torch!!!🔥 The birthday dessert was supposed to be a brownie but I don’t eat chocolate and they were willing to substitute it to cheesecake for me. I love that! The food and drinks are all great as well! I will definitely come back!

I’ve lived in Houston for 3 years and haven’t came to Joey Uptown till today! I don’t regret anything ! From the moment we walked in we were greeted by hostess and sat with no wait! The server JUSTICE came immediately and greeted us with class and elegance. Gave us amazing recommendations we got the spicy crab dip which was so good and flavorful! For my dish I got the Sirloin when I tell you the food was 10/10 I mean that. The manager Amy was so hospitable and checked on us just to make sure we were enjoying our evening. I will DEFINITELY be back and I don’t want anyone else taking care of me besides JUSTICE! She’s probably the best server I’ve ever had her energy was amazing and she made the experience even more better than it already was!

From the moment I stepped into JOEY Uptown this afternoon, I was immersed in a vibe that strikes the perfect balance—elegant, lively, and inviting. The mid-afternoon flow gave the space a laid-back yet polished energy, tasteful decor setting the tone for a memorable visit. Ariel, our server, was nothing short of spectacular. Warm, attentive, and clearly passionate about the guest experience, she anticipated every need without being intrusive. Her recommendations were spot-on, and her timing flawless—making a simple lunch feel like a VIP occasion. The manager made a strong impression, too. Present and engaged, they floated throughout the restaurant with ease—checking in, offering genuine hospitality, and fostering a team that runs like a well-oiled machine. It’s clear this isn’t just a job for them—it’s a craft. JOEY Uptown isn’t just a place to eat—it’s where service meets style, every single

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Joeys. The design was eclectic with a nice ambiance. We purchased two orders of the dumplings, garden salad, hibachi wings, salmon, and sushi/steak. Everything was bursting with flavor. If youre looking for a good salad come here. If youre looking for something quick to eat like dumplings come here. The espresso martini was perfect. Unfortunately the waiter wasn’t too communicative with us, but we also noticed he was helping a lot of tables. And for that reason, I gave customer service 4 out of 5 stars.

Jaelene was so sweet and made our experience very enjoyable. And our server Justice explained our brunch selections and was very kind. And Victor was a very nice gentleman that brought us to our table. Everyone was dressed so Awesome!!!!!! Wonderful experience!!!! Thankyou!!!

Yelp
Joey is a must visit every time I'm in town! Every meal I've had has been amazing, service is always great, and drinks are delicious. This last visit, Lilly was our server and made the experience even better. Highly recommend!

Yelp
My first experience with this franchise was in LA and it's clear the H-town location is the place to see and be seen. About a 2 hour wait on a Saturday night -we left and returned and were seated around 9:30-still hopping at this time. Same here as in LA-being greeted with a complimentary Bubbly (Cava?) was a nice touch. We started with cocktails-my Manhattan was tasty and a few from our party ordered draft beers and enjoyed them. I ordered the sake Glazed Chilean Sea Bass and it was scrumptious-cooked perfectly and delicious. Spaghetti Pomodoro, Steak Frites, Grilled Chicken Club and Burger were also enjoyed. Service was fun and attentive. Our Server took great care of us. Fun/lively atmosphere with tasty food-we will be back!

Yelp
Recently visited for a friend's birthday. We were immediately greeted with complimentary champagne. Our server Justice was amazing and very attentive. We did have a small hiccup with my steak. I ordered medium, it came out well done. I was really impressed with the way they handled it though. Justice immediately took care of it and told their Manager, Abby. They remade it, and I didn't even wait for 10 mins and it was cooked perfectly. We had hummus, spicy crab dip, and the bang bang chicken for apps. They were amazing! Parking is not great though. It is the galleria so hard to find parking, but you can always valet for $12 I can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Coming in I feel like you're instantly hit with an upscale dining, yet comfortable feel. The aesthetics of the restaurant are very nice, but it doesn't have the overbearing that some finer dining places may have. While waiting to be seated you're offered complimentary champagne, which is nice. The restaurant is situated at an interesting location, as it's at the Galleria, but not in the Galleria. It's its own building but on the Galleria lot, so you can pull up directly to Joey or walk from inside the mall and be in Joey's in a few steps. Before getting to my food, one of my only complaints was that it was a bit warm in the restaurant. It has large windows that provide a nice view of the area but where we were seated was too warm for my liking. The person I was with had been there before and they recommended the Szechuan Chicken Lettuce Wraps and they were really good for a shared appext. It had a nice sweet glaze that complimented the other flavors very well. Overall it had a nice subtle and refreshing taste. I had the Strawberry Cool for a drink, which I believe is essentially a mocktail, and it was cool. For my main dish I had these Steak and Ravioli Blanco. It's also available on the menu under starters and I consider getting it as an appetizer but I'm glad I stuck with it as a main. The dish was really good, and just like everything else I had, it felt lightweight. I would have liked it to have been a bit more decadent but I'm not mad at it. The steak was cooked very well and so was everything else in the dish. I had some of my friend's steak frites meal, and I would possibly say it was more flavorful than what I had, but I enjoyed my meal better. Overall I would say that the food here is very good. Nothing I had made me particularly wowed me where I felt like I just have to come back here but also nothing was bad to make me not want to come back. The white staff was pleasant and helpful. If I come here again I would like to try something new on their menu because they do have a wide variety of different items.

Yelp
This is my second visit to JOEY Uptown. On the first visit, I was with family celebrating a birthday. The food was surprisingly good, when I expected a version of upscale bland. Today, I've ordered the Katsu Chicken Salad. For reference, today I'm a party of 1 and starving after having fasted for annual bloodwork. I was seated promptly in the bar area at a relatively quiet bar top table. Upon arrival, I was offered sparkling wine Alana came over to check on me, provided my choice of water and took my order. Food arrived relatively quickly (which was a major win because remember I've been fasting). It was good! Nice solid, fresh salad lots of spice. The only downfall of JOEY is the small European water glasses. We're in Texas. Please bring me a regular people glass of water and let me be great and healthy. And I hope JOEY joins the inKind family!

Yelp
A friend and I ate here on a Friday. We parked in the parking garage next to the restaurant. We had a 8pm reservation, but still found ourselves waiting 30 plus minutes to be seated. The entrance is small and had several patrons waiting to be seated. Some guests were given champagne for their wait. The restaurant is dark and sultry at night. Once seated the waiter was kind and knowledgeable. The food presentation was visually pleasing along with the taste. Everything we chose was delicious and hard to pick a favorite. The price point is kind of expensive, but worth every penny. For a girls night out or date night, I'd highly recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Service 10/10 Food 100/10 Ambiance 10/10 (hello free champagne!!) DELICIOUS Also my friend left a bracelet and they called us to let us know? Umm what that's amazing of them. Loved this place definitely going back. The steak and ravioli was the best. Do be warned that these were tequila espresso martinis and they were $30 each

Yelp
I've head all the great things that there is to hear about Joey Uptown. My first time coming was for my birthday back in November because they have a few of my all time favorite things. Espresso martini, steak frites, truffle parmesan fries! How can you go wrong with either of those combos! My first experience here was just ok. I feel that it was a little too hyped up for me, and that service-wise and food-wise, that I had had better. The espresso martini was good for me the first go round, but nothing that had me like WOW! And the steak frites was the same. The steak was just ok, and the parm on the fries felt like it was pre-shredded, not fresh, and didn't really add any value to the plate itself. All in all, my first trip here was probably a 3 out of 5. But!!! I came back for Mother's Day. I was a bit hesitant, if I'm being honest, but I am glad that I did! I didn't drink on this day, but I ordered dessert first, the molten cake, which was delictable. The chocolate cake was warm, and the chocolate oozed out and went great with the vanilla ice cream! The steak was cooked to perfection and seasoned nicely this go round also, and the fries a lot better (more fresh)! The service was phenomenal. We had an excellent server who took wonderful care of us throughout our whole visit. He made sure our drinks were always filled, that plates were cleared from the table, and to ensure we had everything we needed. It was a great way to represent the service I know this place has to offer, which is why I believe everyone likes it so much here!
google avatar

Brandi J.

Yelp
A great date choice! We went the Saturday before Mother's Day and just like any other day it was packed. When we arrived, valet was full, so we luckily found a park in the adjacent open lot and it was $12 to park. We were greeted immediately and offered champagne. We were seated shortly after our reservation time. The service was great, our server was attentive, made great suggestions and was very personable. We had the crab dip as an appetizer and it was pretty good, probably wouldn't order it again. The blackened chicken was good and lot of flavor. The star of the meal was the chocolate soufflé. It was light paired well with the ice cream and raspberry sauce. Over all everything is good but I would try different dishes next time.

Yelp
I had an amazing lunch at Joey Uptown. The ambiance is amazing during the day, beautiful lighting and windows and for how big it is it never was too loud. We started off with the ceviche which in my opinion was just okay. It was beautifully plated but not something I would order again. The udon carbonara was SO good. I'm still thinking about that dish and recommending to everyone. It was very rich and so delicious. I also tried a bite of the steak and ravioli and that dish also did not disappoint. I've heard the lettuce wraps are really good so I hope to go back and try those soon. I loved the espresso martini with vanilla added and the butter cake was a lovely ending to a great meal.
google avatar

Sabrina M.

Yelp
Almost a five star experience except a few things. We had dinner reservations at 7:30 and didn't get seated until closer to 8. That was a bit disappointing. We ordered the blackened chicken with no pork and it came out with pork in it. The waitress offered to make a fully new one, which she did. But it took much longer than when the food first came out and she didn't offer any comp for it. That was disappointing. Other than that the vibes were amazing! Food was really good as well. 5/5 on all the food! Overall, I would go there again!
google avatar

Tracey K.

Yelp
You walk in. "Would you like a complimentary glass of champagne?" Um, yes please! So friendly from the moment you walk in! The place is huge and very nice. The staff is sleekly dressed and super attentive. They don't miss a beat. Not a long wait at all! I got the JOEY cheeseburger. It's a smash burger with two patties, cheese, fresh shredded lettuces, tomatoes, onions. It was delicious. Comes with a side of fries. I think there's a choice of side. Can't remember what the others were but the fries were good! Everyone else enjoyed their meals too. The appetizers were good too. The spicy crab dip was certainly spicy and delicious. The wings were good too!

Yelp
Hailing from Canada, JOEY is one of the upscale chain restaurants in the Galleria area, alongside places like Nobu, Oceanaire and others. Despite a few dozen locations across Canada and United States, many will not have heard of this restaurant group and that is a bummer as JOEY is quite excellent. The complimentary welcome drink with a cava from Sigura Veudas is a unique touch. One does not really see that outside of Michelin restaurants or luxury hotels. There is a spacious waiting area behind the host stand giving ample space to sit down, enjoy the drink and watch the kitchen while a table is prepared. When it comes to the menu, the best way to describe it is "eclectic." Intense fusions of world cuisines result in menu items like Ravioli served with steak or sushi. It's interesting without doubt, but what's even more surprising is that the fusions crafted here actually work and are very tasty. The steak on top of the ravioli was tender and flavorful, together combining into a very filling portion. More classic items like salmon with fresh peas and sprouts are also spectacular. Thus, a very enjoyable meal is easy to have here. Our waitress was pleasant and all staff appeared very efficient. There did not seem to be a dress code here as everyone dressed in their own style, so it is best described as a trend driven mixture of casual or club like attire, while some business folks show up in suits. JOEY is a great addition to the Galleria area and a true pleasure to visit.
google avatar

Shay M.

Yelp
I stopped in for happy hour at JOEY and the food was good! It was happy hour so I ordered the margarita and guacamole combo along with chicken lettuce wraps. The food and drink were really tasty and flavorful. I sat at the bar and it was a bit fussy. Although the bartender was cordial, he seemed more interested in socializing with other patrons than taking my order. The restaurant was beautiful and I would definitely return in the future. I will likely just sit at a table for a better experience.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of dining at this nice spot for late lunch. They greeted you w l complimentary glass of champagne for their HH which I thought was nice. I was solo and still had a short 5 In wait. I was going to hit the bar which was open but opted for a table given the short wait and I wasn't in the social mood. Bar wasn't full but occupied w people dressed in suits to smart casual attire. The ordered the grilled chicken club and the waiter recommended I get it blackened as that's how he orders it, gives more flavor. It was delicious. Also had truffle fries they were good. All in all of you are in Houston at the galleria check his place out.
google avatar

Angela A.

Yelp
Joey Uptown was a really cool vibe! I was invited here for happy hour. After a long week, it was much needed! We really enjoyed our dining experience. I ordered the hummus and pita chips and the seared salmon sushi. Both very good choices from their hh menu. Our waiter made sure we were taken care of. When you arrive, the host/hostess offers a glass of champagne. Very nice welcome in! I will return.
google avatar

Yelp
Joey Uptown is my favorite spot for Chicken Parmesan! It may not be what they are known for but if you go here you need to try their Chicken Parmesan especially if you like pasta and cheese. Their best appetizer is the chicken lettuce wraps & their carpaccio! So yummy definitely worth trying What we ordered : Chicken Parmesan 10/10 Lettuce wraps 10/10 Carpaccio 9/10 Wings 6/10 dry rub so not saucy, I prefer sauce so I ordered a side of the lettuce wrap chicken sauce

Yelp
I love coming to Joey's uptown! Every time I come in it's definitely a vibe. The service is excellent. The food is so amazing and so so tasty! You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu. And the vibes are honesty immaculate. My server/bartender was Billie this time around and she was super sweet, super bubbly and definitely made me feel right at home as soon as I sat down. I honestly love Joey uptown and will always make an effort to stop by when I'm on this side of town. it's such a great spot whether you're celebrating a special occasion or you just wanna come in for dinner or happy hour (no matter the occasion) it's definitely one of the better restaurants in Houston for sure!

Yelp
Been here quite a few times now and they've been just good every time except once where we had a fairly large party reservation and while waiting there was another fairly large party with the same exact amount of people and under the same name so the hosts got both parties confused. The other party ended up getting seated before us and we complained so they fixed it but of course the other party was upset and giving us a rude side eye every which way. Anywho. You get a complimentary champagne glass. Too bad you can't have more than one especially if you're waiting for a table for awhile... The hosts are a little snobby on that. Food is fairly good. Best truffle Parmesan fries and entree is the steak and ravioli blanco with shrimp. There's also a combo with a sushi roll that is really yummy. Ambiance is great. Cocktails are good. It's a nice place to go every once in awhile. They have valet outside but it's super busy all the time. If you come here for a birthday, they really make it special with the dessert. Overall a good place to try if you've never been and to come back to the other things on their menu.
google avatar

Jazmine S.

Yelp
Had never been to Joey Uptown before but I heard it was a nice place for a birthday dinner so I decided to have mine there. I love that they offer complimentary champagne upon arrival. I also love that the menu options allow something for everyone to enjoy. I ordered the ravioli bianco. I also tried one of the hibachi wings that my friend ordered. Both were good. Everyone liked their food. I was also given a complimentary brownie for my birthday. It was just okay but it's nice that they do offer something special for birthdays. Service was okay but a little slow. We were not asked if we wanted another drink until we were just about ready to leave. Overall though, I was pleased with the experience and look forward to going back to Joey again in the future.

Yelp
Joey's is a staple of Houston ATP. The food, vibes, the ambiance, the location all hit. Great food every time. My favorite and go to is the Chicken Lettuce wraps. I could eat these everyday for the rest of my life. I typically take people from out of town here because we can hit the mall as well. Love it here. Definitely recommend.

Yelp
I just loved the service . My server was so kind and helpful. I would just go back again for her service . Food is good and same taste as other location of Joey. Ambiance is peaceful with enough lights had lot of plants which I just loved. It was giving fresh and refreshing vibes. I was offered a champine while we were waiting for table . Server accidentally miscommunication added chicken in my Tofu wrap so she immediately replaced and she brought brocalli for the additional time I had to wait. Loved the place just loved it

Yelp
Absolutely love this place. Been here a few times and the service and food have always been great. Food is also amazing - I've gotten the steak frites and poke style bowl and LOVED both!!! Always such a Houston staple.

Yelp
Service is first rate. They hand you a glass of champagne when you walk in the door. (Nice touch) Remington was our server, and he was fast, friendly, and very helpful. The atmosphere is "Instagram worthy", modern, classy, and full of very nicely dressed, attractive people. The food is top notch, well presented, and nicely seasoned. The overall experience is a solid 4.5 stars. Perfect date night restaurant.

Yelp
Stopped by for lunch and as always, Joey Uptown delivered. The food is consistently delicious--same great taste every time. Whether it's a cute date night, a solo date, or a girls' night out, the vibe and ambiance are always on point. Love, love, love this place!

Yelp
Checked in at the hostess stand around 5:40.. for reservations for 6p and was given a complementary drink. I let her know that I'll take a bar seat if possible instead of taking space at a table, she acknowledged me told me to wait behind her for a seat and that she will let me know.. 6:21 rolls around and I get up to ask how much longer. She let me know that they are still waiting for seating at the bar i let her know that I'll take a table b/c it's been awhile .. 6:34 rolls around and i finally have a seat by the patio door that constantly opens.. it's now 6:52 and i have yet to meet my server, she came over a moment later When i finally got to see someone and order the food comes out and I'm not expecting a lot of food but enough food especially for the price. The food was warm, the broccolini was hard the drinks weren't strong and they all came in short glasses for 15 + dollars.. There was a mix up with the steak and lobster.. which the lobster is separate.. and it dosent say that smh so I ended up paying extra for it when the steak meal *pictured* was already 63. In the end two drinks later and my food I ended up paying 164.00, parking was 12.00 and 13.00 because I used a card and I also added a 3 dollar tip. Overall this experience was 0 out of 10..

Yelp
Me and some friends came to visit this place and as soon as we walked in, they handed us a complimentary glass of sparkling wine, which was obviously my favorite moment...until we got to the food, everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly, it all tasted great. The service was fantastic, we also received complimentary dessert wine, which was delicious as well. The ambiance was very intimate and beautiful, would absolutely recommend going.

Yelp
A taste of America's favorite flavors--done right! If there's a place in the U.S. that captures the spirit of American food, I'd say it's JOEY at The Galleria. At first glance, the menu made me smile--it seemed all over the place. But then I realized it's actually a smart curation of American crowd favorites, taking the best from different cuisines. You'll find a great burger (seriously, one of the best), tacos, sushi, poke bowls, pasta, and even Szechwan flavors--all with beautiful presentation and high-quality ingredients. And yes... they have guacamole (of course!), but with their own twist--just like the burger. Both were excellent! This place is perfect for a casual outing with friends, grabbing a few drinks, and enjoying a bit of everything from around the world. Service was fantastic. Being welcomed with a glass of bubbly while waiting for our table? A classy touch! Bravo!

Yelp
Chose Joey Uptown at the Galleria in Houston to meet up with a friend I haven't seen in about 15 years! It was the perfect spot to reconnect, enjoy a meal, and plan for the future. Upon arrival, just as other Joey locations, we are greeted by a kind host who offers a complimentary flute of champagne. I opted in, and was generously seated at a booth. The ambiance is upscale with a casual twist. A nice place to dress up, or visit in athleisure for brunch, as I have done both in the past. We ordered salad and tacos, and were not disappointed. As a very sweet touch, our waitress gifted us with a complimentary desert, to celebrate our birthdays and reconnection. Very thoughtful, and speaks to their attentiveness! I always look forward to Joey and of course will not hesitate to revisit, especially since it is conveniently located in the heart of the shopping and restaurant area!!

Yelp
Visited Joey Uptown for the first time last week (1/16/25). The ambiance is fantastic and the hours are great for those that are looking for a nice place to eat after 10pm. The waiter (Juan) was extremely patient and professional. Unfortunately that is where the highlights concluded. While the presentation of the ribeye was fantastic, the flavor profile was lacking and the meat was tough. Not what I expected from a $96 steak. The Tomahawk Steak @ Carrabba's cost the same and runs circles around Joey's ribeye. Adding insult to injury the Press Sushi provided some of the worst food poisoning I've ever experienced. I lost nearly 8lbs of body weight in less than 24hrs and spent the majority of the day heaving my guts out. Before writing this review I called the restaurant trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. After 3 attempts I was directed to a manager whom took my information down to file an incident report. She was kind and professional following Joey's restaurant policy to the letter. Unfortunately there policy is essentially an apology but we hope you come back. I did mention that I told my coworkers and neighbors I had food poisoning but left Joey Uptown's name out of it bc I wanted to give the restaurant the opportunity to make it right. After spending nearly $300 for 2 people & $40 @ the valet I was not offered any compensation for the Press Sushi and was not offered any incentive to return. I understand that mistakes happen but when a customer gets sick enough to contemplate going to the hospital an apology isn't going to cut it. This review is a result of the owner hiding behind managment to avoid any type of negative backlash. My neighbors are all working professionals. Several of these companies use restaurants like Joey Uptown to conduct cooperate events and catering. I'm afraid I cannot recommend Joey Uptown after this horrendous outcome. Proceed with caution and be wary of the sushi.

Yelp
Lunch for 8. - Ambiance (5*) Beautiful interior. Comfortable too. - Service (5*) Super fast. Accommodated our rush. Very friendly. All waitresses dressed a tiny bit provocative, baring cleavage but still professional. - Mediterranean Bowl, $27 (5*) Hard to really elevate these bowls that every restaurant seems to have these days, but this one was amazing. Harissa grilled chicken- probably the best grilled chicken I've had in quite some time. Everything was quite harmonious and the crunch from the chickpeas added a lot. - Value (3*) A bit steep for a bowl like this. - Final Word I don't mind the price given how amazing it tasted.

Yelp
I brought my Mama and Grandma here for a late Mother's Day lunch. I don't live in Houston anymore but when I come back home we always have a meal together. They had been here once a couple years ago and it was my first time. Galleria parking has always been annoying but valet is an option for $12. We dropped Grandma in front and found free parking in the garage. Upon entrance we were warmly greeted and offered Champagne, nice touch! I made a reservation for 3pm Tuesday but it wasn't super busy so it may not be needed depending on when you go. We were quickly seated, everyone was very pleasant. The service is top notch here and for sure worth the price. It was happy hour so we got the guacamole as an appetizer, we all loved it but there wasn't enough chips. Toward the end we needed about the 3 more chips to finish it off so I asked the waitress for a couple of chips. She brought out a whole order of chips which we didn't need, and we later realized they charged $3.50, if we knew we wouldn't have bothered because it wasn't worth it but our waitress didn't mention the charge. Our entrees were fantastic, I had shrimp Ravioli and they had the blackened chicken. Beautifully plated and equally delicious. The vibe here is elegant and sleek, nice decor and clean individual restrooms. A manager stopped by to check on us after noticing me might be ready for our check and we were. Our waitress brought us Bellini samples and brownies on the house which topped off an already stellar experience. I will certainly be back when I come to Houston again! 10/10

Yelp
Joey never disappoints, I've gone to multiple locations and this was just as good as the others. With bubbles upon arrival, and with reservations, expecting to be seated quickly. This location is perfect for date night, they have a tvs at the bar so you won't miss out on any games. Server was great and attentive. Celebrating as newlyweds, they treated us with dessert. The sea bass was delicious, typically I go for NY strip but wasn't disappointed by the filet. I'll be back to visit one of the locations soon.

Yelp
Had a large group dinner here and everyone found something they liked!! Loved the champagne greeting as we walked in, and our waitress was fantastic at ensuring we all had anything we needed. Only thing I don't love is the parking situation but we made it work.

Yelp
the joey uptown in dallas ain't got nothin' on joey uptown in Houston! the flavors are more balanced in the dishes and the ambiance is definitely more lively. i had the: farmers market salad, crab cake, salmon entree lemon drop martinissss the salad is amazing! the ingredients were so fresh, it tasted like they were harvested that day. i sat at the bar, so the service was what is o expected of bar service; efficient. joey's is definitely a great place to go on a date, but its also chill if you just want to grab some drinks at the bar. bonne appétit

Yelp
Food was delicious however service was a bit sub par considering we had a reservation and went on a slow Tuesday night. Took 20 minutes to get water and orders taken, an appetizer was forgotten, food was brought by other staff and our main server didn't check on us or confirm our orders came out right till we were done eating. We got the forgotten appetizer sent over while we were ready to pay the bill. Ambiance was nice though and I may try again to try some other dishes

Yelp
Joey Uptown - 5 stars Joey Uptown gave me full "living my best life" vibes. The ambiance is modern, chic, and perfect for a solo night out or a cute dinner with friends. I came in on Easter Sunday without a reservation, so I grabbed a seat at the bar--which honestly works best for me anyway. The place was buzzing with beautiful faces, and the energy made the whole evening feel like a treat. Now let's talk food. If you order nothing else, please get the chicken lettuce wraps--absolutely delicious. I also tried the crab dip, which was solid, but the blackened chicken completely stole the show. It was juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. The steak ravioli was another hit--the flavor was rich, and the steak was cooked to perfection. Bonus: everything reheated well later. And yes, the cocktails were just as good as the food--tasty and well-balanced. You can valet or park at the mall nearby. Either way, this is definitely a "put on something cute" kind of spot. You never know who you'll run into with a taste as good as yours.

Yelp
A beautiful, large restaurant located in the buzzing area of downtown/the Galleria directly across from the Westin and Cheesecake Factory. Parking is kind of a pain, but the experience was overall worth the visit. A large menu, fresh food, and a nice mix of Asian flare and American cuisine, this is a great spot for happy hour or dinner with friends. It's pretty pricy, but it was tasty. QUICK FACTS: - Parking? Yes, the Blue Garage is closest, though a bit painful to get to with limited parking spaces. There's also valet or Express Parking for $. - Reservations? Recommended for large parties on weekends, but walk-ins are welcome. We walked in around 2pm on a Saturday and it was busy but we were sat right away. - Happy hour? Yes, M-F from 3-6pm. FOOD RATINGS: - Shrimp and scallop ceviche (4/5): Refreshing and flavorful. Love all of the colors on this. The sweet and tangy sauce balanced out the fish and the avocado and onion were nice. - Mini French dips (4/5): Cute and tasty. Loved the toasty cheesy bread! We asked for extra creamy horseradish. - Parmesan truffle fries (4/5): Good cut and crispy. The parmesan cheese was sort of all clumped/stuck together, but they were good. - Steak and ravioli bianco (4/5): Tasty truffle raviolis. The steak was cooked perfectly. The shrimp would be better seasoned and grilled, but not bad overall. A pretty pricy dish, but I enjoyed it. The crispy onions on top were a nice finishing touch!

Yelp
We've been to the sister restaurant at North Park Mall in Dallas so we knew it would be pretty good. Lettuce wraps are excellent! Crab cakes are better than most has scrunchy outside. Butter cake was good but Eddie V's banana foster butter cake is too die for! Ol Fashion was good and complimentary champagne was a nice touch.

Yelp
Saturday night, party of 10 I was worried it would be more trendy than tasty but I was very pleasantly surprised it was both! Our server Haley was friendly and helpful. Apps and mains were well executed but dessert was generic. Korean fried cauliflower was a stunner and the steak and ravioli was a nice was to have two of my favorite things in one dish. Parking was super crowded. Underground parking is easier IF you can find a spot. Valet line was long and a bit slow; $12 regular, $30 VIP.

Yelp
Love the scenery and the atmosphere! My favorite is their crab cake!!! Their chicken Parm is veryyyy good! I'm never disappointed when I go here! I've only ever sat bar side but this is definitely a place to come for date night or with a group of friends! The bartenders are always welcoming and attentive!

Yelp
BG: had a double birthday. Notes: they give everyone a complimentary champagne before being seated. 1x per person. What we ordered: Appetizers: -Japanese Gyoza ($15): 8/10 good sauce, solid dumplings -Tuna Yellowfin Salad ($29): 7/10 pretty normal raw tuna salad -Korean Fried Cauliflower ($16.5) : 8.5/10 tastes like a sweet n sour chicken, but it's a veggie. Pretty good hiding the cauliflower taste. (I usually hate cauliflower) Entrees: -Steak with Lobster ($63.5) : 8.9/10 pretty darn good. The egg roll looking mashed potatoes was a different twist. Lobster tail was great. -Joey classic with Jumbo Crab Cakes ($60) : 7/10 solid steak & good flavor, but dry crab cake -Sushi and Steak (great deal: a sushi roll + an 8oz steak cut up in a bowl on the side) ($42) : 9/10 sushi great flavor & sirloin steak cooked to perfection. Dessert -Creme brûlée Cheesecake ($14) : Delicious 9.8/10 -complimentary birthday brownie cakes $0: 5/10 very dark chocolate bitter. Ambience was super pretty, staff was friendly, food was great. It was a good eat. I recommend if you're around the area wanting a date night or with friends. I love that it opens till 12am. Our total came out to be (without tip) : $339

Yelp
Impromptu dinner solo. Walked across to Joey s. Was seated pretty quick even though they were busy. Steak was great nicely cooked and the fries, perfect.
