21 New San Francisco Bay Area Restaurant Openings to Get Excited About, April 2025 | Eater SF

"The group's first Bay Area outpost opened Thursday, April 24 at Westfield Valley Fair in Santa Clara in a 14,500-square-foot space pitched as ideal for private dining rooms and to enjoy 35-day dry-aged steaks; the menus were ideated by Top Chef: Canada winner Matthew Stowe and sommelier Jason Yamasaki." - Dianne de Guzman

At Joey, you will have a little bit of everything. They have a well curated contemporary menu featuring an array of international dishes thats meant to delight and impress everyone especially with their service and overall dining experience. We started with the wagyu beef carpaccio and Szechuan chicken lettuce wraps. The appetizers were an absolute hit. We also had the sake glazed chilean seabass, chargrilled pork chops and steak frites. So glad we came here to celebrate my son’s bday, the place was amazing. Everything was delicious! Highly recommend! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

They offered us champagne while we waited for our table, which was a lovely touch. The food was excellent--truly the best fusion cuisine I've had in the Bay Area. There was a small mix-up with our steak order, but they quickly prepared a new one, and the managers came over to apologize and treated us to delicious appetizer. The service was outstanding! The birthday cake was both adorable and delicious. We'll definitely be coming back. A big shoutout to our server, Brittney, who made sure everything went smoothly and even helped us take some amazing photos. Not only was the food fantastic, but the service made the experience even more memorable. Many staffs went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was romantic, cozy, and just added to the whole vibe. A truly great time all around! Fantastic evening~ I couldn’t be happier about spending my birthday at this place. Joey Valley Fair brings me so much joy.

I love the ambience of JOEY. I have been here several times and enjoy returning. Brian was an amazing server. He was extremely friendly, attentive, and communicated well. He was being very prompt and would round on us frequently. He made our dining experience so much better. It was my friends first time at JOEY and she had an excellent time. Thank you Brian for making our girls night special!!!

My wife and I had dinner here recently, and we were genuinely impressed. The food was absolutely outstanding—creative, flavorful, and far beyond our expectations. The Asian/New American fusion dishes were thoughtfully prepared and beautifully presented. The atmosphere was vibrant and uplifting, making the overall dining experience very enjoyable. That said, there were a few service issues that stood out. Our table was brought several dishes we never ordered, which suggests a lack of communication among the staff. It didn’t affect our meal too much, but it did create some confusion. Also, no one checked on our water until I had to ask, and by then, my glass was nearly empty. With a bit more training and attention to service details, this place has the potential to be truly exceptional. We’d still return for the food alone—it’s that good.

Highly recommend Joey’s if you are visiting Valley Fair or are in the San Jose area. We came here on Labor Day and had the best time. The food and service was amazing!!! They offered us free sparkling wine while waiting. I highly recommend the chicken lettuce wraps, spicy passionfruit margarita, espresso martini with peanut butter whiskey and the Tap that cake. Thank you to our server Alejandra for being so amazing and attentive. Can’t wait to come back!

My boyfriend and I came in as a walk-in and only waited about 5 minutes before getting seated. Matthew, the manager, personally walked us in, which made us feel really welcomed right away. The cocktails were a huge highlight Cameron, Julia, and Carsen made some of the best drinks we’ve had in a while, and it was fun watching them mix everything up. Our server Fiona was fantastic, super attentive and friendly the whole night. Both Matthew and Alex checked in on us, and you could really tell they care about creating a great experience for their guests. Between the quick seating, amazing drinks, and excellent service, Joey Restaurants definitely deserves 5 stars. We’ll be back for sure!

I’ve been coming to Joey’s at Valley Fair since it opened, and I have to say — the consistency here is unmatched. From the warm welcome at the door to the attentive, seamless service, Joey’s always delivers. The food and drinks are fantastic, yes — but that’s honestly not the main reason I keep coming back. It’s the experience. On our recent visit (8/2, late night), my partner and I finally got to enjoy a date night after a hectic few months. Paulina was our server and absolutely elevated the entire night. Her energy, attentiveness, and personality truly stood out. She didn’t just serve us — she curated the moment. And the dessert? She made it extra special and memorable. Also want to shout out the manager on duty that night — I’m sorry I didn’t catch her name, but she checked in on us warmly and helped keep everything flowing effortlessly. To the entire team: thank you for creating a space that feels welcoming, elevated, and consistently top-tier. Highly recommend Joey’s for anyone looking not just for a meal — but for a great night out

If you’re in Santa Clara and looking for a great dining experience, I highly recommend Joey’s Restaurant. From start to finish, everything was fantastic. Our server, Darcy, provided excellent service—attentive, friendly, and always on point. The manager, Gianna, also stopped by our table to check in, which made the experience feel even more welcoming and personalized. We ordered a variety of dishes, including the steak and lobster, steak with mashed potatoes, and the ravioli Bianca. Every plate was cooked perfectly, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The combination of amazing food, warm hospitality, and attentive service made this one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in the area. I’ll definitely be back!

Yelp
Okay so I've been to JOEY three times since they opened in April and honestly? They've nailed it every time. The service, the food, the drinks, the vibe -- all 10/10. First of all, you get a complimentary glass of champagne as soon as you walk in. Can't lie its my favorite part lol. Everyone working there is super friendly and on top of it. Even when it's busy, they don't miss a beat -- they're moving nonstop but always smiling, and somehow still find time to check in and chat like you're a regular. Every time I've gone, a floor manager has personally stopped by our table (whether we're at the bar or seated). It honestly feels like they genuinely care about your experience, which I really appreciate. Now for the good stuff -- drinks + food: We went this past Friday and it was packed, but our server Abby was a total pro. Got our drink orders in fast and gave great recs. We tried the Coconut Smash, Espresso Martini, and Old Fashioned -- all super good and came out quick even with the rush. Appetizer: We started with the French Dip Bites -- flavor was amazing, but they're a little small for the price. Still worth a try. Entrée (for me): I actually just ordered the Szechuan Chicken Lettuce Wraps from the app menu as my dinner -- sooo good. The spicy sauce with the little crispy wontons? Unreal. Only thing I'd change is how they serve the lettuce -- it's just a whole head on the plate lol. Would be nicer if it came pre-portioned, but whatever, it was fire. The rest of the table: My mom, MIL, and her sister all got burgers. Fries were hot, burgers cooked perfectly -- no complaints at all. They were super happy. Second round of drinks: The moms loved their first round so they got the same again, but I wanted something new. Tyler (floor manager for our section) recommended the Lychee Martini and wow. Light, not too sweet, and still had a kick. Tyler also kept checking in and even helped refill waters and buss tables -- you can tell he actually cares and supports his team. Love that. Dessert time: We got the Butter Cake and the Tap That Cake. The Tap That one is fun -- they pour hot chocolate sauce over the dome and you smack it with a spoon to crack it open. Inside is a rich, brownie-like cake. Pretty heavy, but the moms were obsessed. I was more into the Butter Cake -- warm, fluffy, and paired perfectly with the raspberry sauce. Soooo good. Final thoughts? JOEY just gets it. The energy, the food, the people -- it all feels intentional and elevated, but still super chill and welcoming. Whether it's a night out with your friends, a cute date, or a dinner with your fam, you'll feel taken care of. Oh and shoutout to the team for asking me to leave a review -- I totally forgot Yelp existed 5/5, every time.

Yelp
Great service all around. Gotta keep coming back to this awesome place for food and drinks. Giving kudos to the the three awesome bartenders Esa, Jennifer and Jordan. Ambience is superb.

Yelp
Celebrated my birthday here, and our server, Sadia, was so friendly and attentive to our needs. Everything that we ate was so delicious, and the portions were great. The second floor ambience was cozy and chill.

Yelp
This place is TOP NOTCH. We went for a birthday celebration and had a private room upstairs. I was so happy to see a firepit here (we do not have any great places in the bay that has snacky rooftop firepits). The only downfall I noticed was it was super hard to hear the waitress in our room when she was telling us about the specials, the music was just so loud. The ambiance was off the charts. Just wished more of the customers left their RBF at home. Need more people to smile and not look so stuck up. Bring your SMILES people and enjoy this new gem.

Yelp
We came to celebrate our anniversary, and it was overall a nice experience, though there were some misses with our food. The ambiance, atmosphere, and service were all great. Our server Sadia was so sweet and attentive, and gave us a very helpful rundown of the menu when we asked for recommendations. We ended up getting: - peach Bellini: 5/5 stars, very tasty and beautiful too. - watermelon drink: 4/5 stars, tasty but not enough watermelon flavor (a little watery). - chicken lettuce wraps: 4/5 stars, a bit too saucy/salty for us, but had great layered crispy textures - the lettuce, thin wonton crisps, and peanuts were all crispy in slightly different ways and the combined result was phenomenal. - prime rib sandwich (lunch only) with truffle Parmesan fries: 2/5 stars, way too salty (coarse salt sprinkled on the meat, super salty bacon bits/pork rinds, and the au jus was salty too - just one of these seasonings would have been enough), my husband couldn't finish it. The meat was tender and the bread and fries were both good, though. - sea bass: 3.5/5 stars, the fish mostly just tasted like teriyaki sauce, but the charred veggies were sooooo good - crunchy and fresh. - complimentary anniversary cheesecake: 5/5 stars, it was light and fluffy with yummy strawberry sauce and whipped cream on the side.

Yelp
I'm pretty upset at the receptionist in the front for being extremely rude to my family. I was seated first at the Open Bar. I had ordered my food first and was waiting for my family to come join me for drinks. They call me and said the front told them no they could not come in because the bar seating was full. Very bold face lie because I was right there next to several spots that had been vacant. Basically, reception had them sitting outside for 5 minutes. I got up and had to walk to the front and clarify Open Bar and Open Seating means you can sit if there is space. I'm very insulted because they were insinuating my family is cheap and aren't going to sit and pay for drinks? Really? In the end, I got them seated and we all had drinks. If I wasn't in the middle of my meal, I would have gotten up and left. Food was good but our first impression of this joint was terrible and it soured the mood. I don't care how busy or good a restauraunt is, this isn't how you treat people.

Yelp
I've had Joey on my list of places to try since it opened because of the 5 star reviews. My boyfriend and I walked in on a Saturday evening around 5:45pm. We were quoted a 1hr 15min wait. It ended up being a 2hr wait, but I wasn't too bothered since I knew it would be busy and I could walk around the mall. The service from the hostesses at the door was great. We had a choice of sparkling wine or tea while we waited for our table after checking in. It was about an additional 5 min wait before my table was ready. I sat upstairs, where it was 18+ only. The atmosphere was nice and the decor was modern and clean. My boyfriend and I ordered a starter, mains, and dessert. Our main dishes were good, but my favorite was the mini steak French dips. I also ordered a low alcohol drink, a calamansi lychee cooler. For someone who has a lower alcohol tolerance, this drink was perfect for me. Overall, I would rate Joey 3.5 stars. It was a nice experience and it would be a great spot for date night, but the food was average to me. The prices are also very steep and the food wasn't anything spectacular.

Yelp
The ambiance here is great but I'm giving them a 3 star more so for the food quality. We got an assortment of stuff but it just seemed like the quality or the cook was not or favorite. The steak and sushi wasn't great. The steak with the sauce tasted chalky and the sushi felt more like a block of rice with some spicy mayo on top. The poke bowl and burger didn't stand out either. I think my favorite was probably the truffle udon which was flavorful. The waiters are attentive. Overall, the quality of the food didn't seem as good especially for the price.

Yelp
The service here is amazing!! After checking in, they offer you champaign or non-alcoholic sparkling beverage which I thought was pretty nice! Our waitress was very friendly and attentive to my party. The vibes here are lively, not too loud and I can see this place as a restaurant for date nights or friendly gathering. I ordered the Tuna Poke Bowl and I really enjoyed it, definitely not the standard typical poke bowl but it has a nice unique flavor that pairs really well with the tuna, even the rice was fluffy!! I would definitely be back to try more on their menu.

Yelp
(3.5 stars) Over 2,000 reviews for a restaurant that only opened 4 months ago? i'll let you do the math.... i dined here on a wednesday night around 5pm. though there is happy hour we opted for a regular menu. complimentary sparking wine while waiting for our table was a nice touch. the ambiance is nice with patio, bar, and indoor dining. the place was buzzing and full by 530. we ordered crab dip, french dip bites, miso carbonara, and sushi cones. our waitress brought plates to share and handed me a wet plate. she said "oh it's just water, that means it's clean." i was too confused to protest. the waitstaff overall was friendly but seemed inexperienced. the crab dip was tasty but needed a hit of acid and more crab if you ask me. french dip bites were my favorite item of the meal. miso carbonara had a truffle aroma but little truffle flavor on the palate. otherwise i did enjoy the dish. sushi cones were dry and had a glob of wasabi awkwardly plastered to the side. portions were unsurprisingly petit for the price, but nothing egregious. overall joey met my expectations for the valley fair / santana row dining scene -- fusion food in a shiny dining room that manages to neither disappoint nor impress me. would i come back? sure. but im in no rush.

Yelp
Came in on Friday around 8pm for dinner and luckily we had reservations as I overheard that the wait was around 2 hours. They offered us complimentary champagne while we waited for our table. It was very busy so we had to flag our server down to order our entrees but overall the service was pretty good -the hostess and our server were both very friendly. They offer lower alcohol drinks which I thought was unique- we ordered one of the those (rejuvenation) and the passion fruit marg. Both were good, no complaints. For our app we got the ceviche which i enjoyed as it had a lemon grass flavor and was a bit spicy. For our entrees my bf got the ravioli sriolin and I got the steak and frites. I got truffle fries and was quite disappointed as they came out a bit cold and not crispy as if they had been sitting out for a while. The ravioli itself was pretty good but his steak was a bit overcooked for medium and quite salty. Meanwhile my steak had no flavor and was pretty dry. I was very disappointed in the steaks- would definitely not order those again as they were almost $50 each. Overall it's a cute place to check out for a date night or night out with friends- I would come back to try other drinks and appetizers but definitely would not order the entrees we got again.

Yelp
STARS: 3.5 MENU AND FOOD: JOEY Valley Fair serves up a variety of American appetizers, salads, steaks, and mains with diverse twists. SERVICE AND ATMOSPHERE: Service was professional and welcoming upon check in, but became a bit subpar at the table. We started off with a covering server as our server was on break, but upon returning, she seemed a bit flustered with our table and food orders. Our starter dishes were later brought our table without being provided small plates. The decor was appropriate and appealing, but staff seemed unorganized and inexperienced overall. PARKING: Located at Valley Fair, parking is available in all their lots. IMPRESSION AND RECOMMENDATIONS: We came here to celebrate a birthday, and ordered the tomahawk steak, spicy crab dip, miso roasted mushrooms, and farmers market salad, all of which were pretty ok. I ordered the super ranch water, but was later told none of the slush cocktails were available. The tomahawk was served with crispy loaded mashed potatoes and broccolini, but was cooked a bit over our requested medium. Our server then quickly passed by and uneasily asked if our tomahawk steak was cooked to our liking, adding that sometimes the kitchen overcooks the steak and she'd be happy to take it back to have it remade if needed. While it was appreciated, it just seemed a bit awkward at that point. Overall, our experience fell short of our expectations and we are a bit surprised by all the 5 star reviews.

Yelp
Nice ambiance and decor but that's where it ends. I was excited to try Joey due to the glowing reviews. I went here with my husband and toddler for a celebration on Sunday, August 17th. We ordered the following: Szechuan Chicken Lettuce Wraps, Truffle Udon Carbonara with Katsu Chicken, Crispy Tofu Bowl, Kid's Cheese Pasta, Coconut Smash Cocktail, and Mezcal Cocktail. First off, we were not offered a high chair for a toddler. I know, parents can ask for this but typically servers ask when they offer there's a toddler. Second, we were not offered water (it is common to always pour water asap esp on a hot day) and did not offer to refill water, third, the food was overly salty or not that great, and lastly, we were not offered a complimentary dessert for the special occasion. The Szechuan Chicken Lettuce Wraps are $25 for some lettuce and overly salty chicken. I was excited to try this since reviewers seemed to rave about this item. Truffle Udon Carbonara with Katsu Chicken was okay but the Katsu Chicken was overcooked and chewy. Not very pleasant to eat. Crispy Tofu Bowl was literally a bed of rice, some tofu, and veggies. It seemed to be flavored with some sweet chili sauce but other than that, the flavor profile was not complex at all. The cocktails were watered down and pricey for what they were. Disappointed in this visit since it's rare for us to go out especially with a toddler.

Yelp
Walked in for happy hour and had no problems finding a seat at the bar. Beautiful ambiance and design. They have killer deals for happy hour, and I highly recommend the Adult Happy Meals if you like cocktails. Both the Margarita & Guac and the Martini & Fries were delicious. Although I do wish you could get the drinks alone at a happy hour discount. It was easy to get the bartender's attention sitting right at the bar, so no issues with service there. By the time I left it was very busy, even on a weeknight, with lots of people waiting outside for their tables. Would definitely come back to try their full menu!

Yelp
We came here on a Saturday for lunch and had a wonderful experience. This restaurant is definitely more upscale for a mall restaurant. While you wait for a table they offer complimentary bubbles. The staff were all really kind and attentive. Drinks: 5/5 , really great cocktails. Perfect amount of liquor, sweetness, etc. Food: 5/5 , we tried the truffle udon carbonara, truffle Parmesan fries, and the mini steak French dips. The meat was tender, noodles were delicious and flavorful. Really amazing food. We can't wait to come back for dinner to try more items on the menu and have a nice date night in the future.

Yelp
Excellent service the moment I walked in. Seated fairly quickly since it was a weekday early dinner but restaurant was still very busy and almost full. Offered complimentary glass of champagne or sparkling tea while we briefly waited for our table. Started off with the spicy crab dip. Creamy dip with pieces of crab inside that had a slight kick. Toast was very toasted as you can see some char on it. A bit too toasted for my liking but has good crisp and goes well with dip. The yellowfin tuna salad plated beautifully. Seared tuna with a tasty dressing. The crispy gyoza strips have the salad a crunch. Next we got the seared salmon sushi and the tuna and avocado crunch roll. Rolls were plated nicely. The rolls tasted average and were hoping for more flavor but still solid nonetheless. The steak and frites grilled medium rare. Had a good garlic butter to it. Fries were crispy and the arugula tasted fresh. Would try the Joey classic steak next time. Lively restaurant with great and friendly staff. Food looks amazing. Safe choice restaurant. Would come back to try their other stuff.

Yelp
This was my first time coming and we came to enjoy some apps and a little dessert for my birthday! Joey Valley Fair really takes care of you and has excellent hospitality. The staff were so welcoming and friendly when we first stepped in and offered us some bubblies and wine at the door while we were basically seated right away. I'd like to thank Jennifer L. for being super sweet and offering great food recommendations! We can't wait to comeback! We had to try the crab dip that is really popular on social media, it lived up to the expectations. Savory, a little heat, generous crab meat. I enjoyed the ceviche too (also recommended by Jennifer and something we were eyeing). It was super refreshing when paired with the crab meat. Light, fresh, the mango was sweet and a good mix in with the ceviche! We also had the mini steak French dips and it was tasty. Jennifer recommended the tap cake and it did not disappoint. My boyfriend and I aren't really sweets people, but the chocolate cake was not too sweet. It reminded me of a Klondike bar with cake! Restaurant was clean and I appreciate how open it is. Bar seating, tables, and they even offered bag hooks. I liked being able to see what was going on in the kitchen too. Super excited to comeback for dinner in the future and try the Apple pie :)

Yelp
Had a team dinner here and OMG it was soooooo good. Let's start from the beginning... Upon arrival when checking in, we were greeted with champagne or sparkling tea. I opted for the tea and it was delicious. Such a nice touch and way to start the overall experience. We were seated upstairs which was an inside outside concept. It was a little loud, but overall the aesthetics and vibes are on point. To share we ordered: Egg roll mashed potato Gyoza Shrimp lettuce wrap Truffle fries My main entree was the truffle udon carbonara. I added the katsu chicken as well. I was also able to taste the lobster pasta the seared salmon sushi that my coworkers ordered as well. We were celebrating some birthdays and were presented with the creme brûlée cheesecake. Everything was 10/10. Bomb.com. The service was amazing as well. Plates were cleared promptly, water and drink refills and everyone was super nice and attentive. This place really cares about the customer experience and that's definitely something rare these days. Can't wait to come back!!

Yelp
Just WOW!!!!! I haven't had fine dining like this, in the bay area, for a while. Fine dining at its best. The experience that you will have here is unparralled. Every single thing we had was frankly delicious. From the service to the location and ambiance, it doesn't get any better then this!! Our food delivery and ordering was a little rocky but the managers Matthew and Tia made it up to us and made everything right. Thank you guys and gals. Our waitress Sophia (I hope I spelled that right) was amazing and checked on us through the whole meal and made sure we were taken care of, thank you Sophia!! We ordered the lobster spaghetti with sirloin, the top sirloin with lobster tail, the beef carpaccio appetizer and for dessert the butter cake. Every single thing was delicious and nothing was left on my plate. If you are reading this, you must go here now and try it. I highly recommend a reservation and try to sit on the second floor. It's gorgeous!! Another fine little simple feature is the design of the tables and a special kudos to the mini coat/purse rack that is near every table. My Fiancee' loved that she could put her purse on that and didn't have to put her purse on the table or floor. Gastro Maestro Triple AAA Aprooooved!!!!!!! This is our new spot! P.S. we love Joey too!! Thank you for a wonderful night.

Yelp
Joey's exceeded my expectations. The lettuce wraps were amazing and the truffle udon was yummy. Our server Chloe was attentive and fantastic. Definitely coming back again!

Yelp
While I wasn't the biggest fan of how long the wait was (2 hours), I do like how you can just shop around the mall until you get a text. Once you do, you get ushered to another waiting area where you are served champagne or mocktails - though by then we were absolutely starving! For our first time we got the udon carbonara, chilean sea bass, scallop ceviche, and the surf + turf which consisted of steak paired with a lobster pasta. While all the dishes were beautiful, my personal favorite had to be the scallop and shrimp ceviche. The sauce was so refreshing and addictive, we even kept it around to dip chips in it! The other dishes were average, but I can totally see people enjoying it for the vibes!

Yelp
Came here tonight with a girlfriend, we've decided to meet monthly for dinner and decided to come here since we heard good things about it. Pros- very friendly service. You are also greeted with a complimentary beverage upon checking in which my friend and I both agreed was a very nice touch. The steaks we ordered were cooked perfectly to our desired temperature (both medium rare) and tasted like steak, which we also both enjoyed, a lot. The staff was sensitive to table dietary restrictions, going back to the kitchen a couple of times to ensure that we were not given anything we could not eat. We were also allowed to get the guacamole, even though we were in the main dining area, and it's meant for the patio and/or bar area. The guacamole was really tasty, so this was very much appreciated! Cons- I upgraded from regular fries to their truffle fries, but could not taste any element of truffle. The plating was also quite crowded, with a lot of empty space, so it didn't have to be as crowded as it was. It was a bit overwhelming...Dessert, while it was a striking dish, I'm not sure if I liked it or not. I was pretty full, so deconstructed it a bit, to make it smaller... the cake on its own was dry and the ice cream was more icy than creamy. When I took a bite with all the components, it tasted fine, but separately or with one to two of the elements only, it was not very good. I think that knowing each component, I could make a better version at home, no matter how I ate it. Overall, we both enjoyed our meal, but I see some areas for improvement.

Yelp
This is a place worth celebrating! I came here with my mom for a mother daughter's day just shopping and wandering around and for lunch we came here to Joey. Immediately after waiting 45 minutes (thank God we had the mall to occupy our time) we were greeted with complementary champagne. I don't think I've ever been to a place that's done that before. We were quickly seated to our table and the ambience is very impressive with a see-through kitchen and clean bathrooms. My mom and I got the chicken Katsu salad and the Mediterranean bowl along with some truffle Parmesan fries to share. The meal was delicious. Thank you to our server Sydney Serrano, and thank you to the rest of the staff that made our experience enjoyable. I look forward to coming again for more special occasions.

Yelp
First timer, want to see what they hype is all about. For bae's birthday dinner, daughter made reservations. Ambiance is nice, very modern type feel. Love our waitress Marsha, Marsha Marsha Marsha! lol So much food, really enjoyed every bite of it. Tab was up there. Sushi is also introduced but we are meat lovers. I think it is worth coming back.!

Yelp
I went here for a friend's birthday. It is quite an impressive place although it is very crowded even for a Thursday evening at 7:30pm. Downstairs seemed more intimate and quiet and upstairs was much louder due to the music. Two of our friends got complimentary sparkling tea as they were waiting for the table to be ready but by the time the others entered the restaurant, we were just escorted upstairs to the table without complimentary beverages. Our group of 6 sat upstairs in a round table. The music was blaring so it was challenging to hear each other. I felt we had to either scream at the person across the table or just have a conversation with the person next to us while the others had no idea what we were talking about. The food was great; All of us liked what we ordered. For apps, we shared the spicy crab dip, lettuce wraps, and ceviche. Each of us got some form of steak dish. I ordered the steak and ravioli bianco (medium rare) which was delicious. (I went off the pictures and reviews from Yelp.) The cocktails here are quite pricey during non-happy hour times but everyone was happy with what they ordered. The guys ordered Negronis and the ladies ordered the low alcohol cocktail kalamansi lychee coolers as recommended by our waitress. We finished our meal with a molten chocolate lava cake and the birthday girl got a crème brûlée cheesecake with a birthday candle. Our waitress was initially attentive but due to so many people and another larger group that took up multiple tables, it was more challenging to get her time and attention at the end. She did apologize and explained and we were understanding. The upstairs had some issue with the heaters and the roof covers. So sometimes it was cold and then it would be super hot for a couple of minutes. Hopefully they got that figured out by now. I'd go back as long as we have a reservation. I'd probably like to experience the downstairs where it seemed more intimate and quieter and also come back for happy hour.

Yelp
Visited Westfield Valley Mall In San Jose Today With The Fiancée & Stopped By Joey's. We Had No Reservations Since We Did Not Know We Would Be Dropping In! ! The Place Just Opened In April I Believe! Let Me Just Say, Right Off The Bat, The Place From The Outside Is Beautiful. They Offered Complimentary Champagne Right At The Front Entrance. The Hostes's Stay On Their P's & Q's! Since The Place Was Packed & Booked They Offered Us Seating At The Bar On The Second Floor Which Is a Rooftop! It Was Gorgeous & On A Hot Sunny Day They Had Plenty Of Ceiling Fans You Can Feel a Nice Cool Breeze! The Fiancée Ordered Baja Cauliflower Tacos Which She Said Were Really Good & Did Have a Spicy Kick At The End. The Entree Comes With Fries, Ketchup & Valentina On The Side! As For Myself, I Ordered The Crispy Tofu Bowl. The Presentation Was Very Nice The Taste Rich & Flavorful. We Definitely Enjoyed Our Time Here. The Ambience Is Alluring & Every Staff Member We Came Across Was Super Friendly! Will Come Back Again! Definitely Moe Approved!

Yelp
This place was not what I expected from looking outside. It was pleasantly surprising how gorgeous the restaurant is (the upstairs specifically) and staff is generally nice. We went to the bar upstairs on a Saturday noon and it was not as packed (mainly tables were filled up). The food actually tasted pretty decent but was definitely overpriced (since it is more of an upscale vibe). Mini French Dip - 5/5 - this appetizer tasted SO good but for two pieces that were like half a bread or less, it was definitely expensive. Steak and Ravioli - 3/5 - I'm sure the steak they used were also cooked for the mini French dip, so when it came out with everything, the meat was dry and not hot, even though it was medium rare. Ceviche - 4/5 - this was such a good ceviche but definitely overpowered by the chili powder. Wish there were more scallops than shrimps! Overall, it's a cute date place. I would go again for the upstairs ambience and bougie vibe.

Yelp
Finally got to try out the hype that is JOEY at Valley Fair and I can say it lives up to its reputation! [[ Restaurant ]] The Restaurant is beautiful. The decor, the choice of furniture, the color matching everywhere was phenomenal and I think they really nailed it. It deficiently feels upscale and modern. Many people would enjoy the aesthetics for sure. I think it has a mild club vibe to it as well as the music was pop/club music of some sort? Not what I expected but it's the normal music I listen to on a daily basis so I didn't mind. [[ Service ]] Like a lot of people mentioned, once you "check in", you are offered a choice of alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink (sparkling lemon ginger, sparkling blood orange). I think this is a nice choice as I usually don't drink often and I was able to participate with the blood orange drink which tasted great! Our main server was Marilyn G in the upstairs area and I thought she was great! She is super friendly/bubbly and encouraged us that the choices we made were good. I also loved that each dish that was served to us came with TONS of helpings of utensils/napkins. This made sharing the food, getting dip on the food, etc. a breeze as you always have extra utensils at your disposal. [[ Food ]] The food is delicious and the presentation was eye-catching. I will say that the dishes we got all tend to be on the sweeter side of things and also at times a bit over-salty but it didn't deter from the experience. All in all the food is good and we enjoyed each dish we ordered. We got the following: 1.) Scallop and Shrimp Ceviche 2.) Spicy Crab Dip 3.) Truffle Udon Carbonara 4.) Prime Rib Sandwich My wife and I enjoyed the Truffle Udon Carbonara the most out of all the dishes we got. The Prime Rib Sandwich is only served during lunch and is limited. We thought the prime rib was very tender but it was overly salted. Luckily, the horse-radish and au jus sauce balanced it out. I would not opt for the $7 Truffle Fries upgrade as I thought it was just okay. [[ Conclusion ]] This hot spot deserves the attention it is getting and I think it's a great place to go for a corporate event, date night, or out with friends. P.S. - This place can get pretty packed but I had no trouble making a reservation on Open Table. We got checked in promptly at the selected window and we finished our meal in under an hour. When we left there was a huge crowd/line outside so I'm glad going early for lunch was the way to go.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came to Joey Valley for our anniversary. We made a reservation two weeks in advance and booked the upstairs lounge (18+). I would NOT recommend sitting upstairs..it was so windy, especially since we were seated at the end (near the stairs). I wasn't wearing a jacket, so having the breeze constantly blowing by was really uncomfortable. Also, ask for a booth if possible since the high chairs were super uncomfortable for me (maybe because I was wearing jeans). As for the food, the crab dip and truffle udon were my favorites, and the drinks were SO good! Everything else was pretty mediocre. Truffle Udon Carbonara - super creamy, loved the truffle flavor Spicy Crab Dip - my favorite!! not spicy at all & loved that it was a super sour Steak & Sushi - Would not recommend. The sushi tasted like Safeway quality and the steak was underwhelming Szechuan Chicken Lettuce Wraps - A bit too sweet for our taste, would not get again Coconut Smash - tasted like a piña colada. Both cocktails were not strong at all, which I personally love (would not recommend if you want a strong drink) Country Club - Tasted like a fruity strawberry soda, refreshing and not strong, loved the melon on top Anniversary Dessert - on the house! we got cheesecake, pretty basic but good! Champagne - Complimentary champagne is offered during the wait, though we weren't initially offered any.....only tea or water...until we requested it The service was amazing and I will definitely be coming back to Joey in the future for the crab dip and udon!

Yelp
reservations were made for a group of 6 at 5:30pm checked in & offered comp wine or tea. both options are delish, you can't go wrong with either. THIS WAS HONESTLY THE BEST PART OF THE NIGHT, SAD MUCH?! we had Laura & she was horrible! first round of drinks were ordered & were dropped at our table fairly quickly. when we wanted to order more, Laura was no where to be found; she was GONE! some gal noticed & asked if she could help by taking our orders. we ordered some new drinks & were told they didn't have them. 4 different wines that we wanted were not available. DIDN'T YOU GUYS OPEN 4 MONTHS AGO?! HOW DO YOU HAVE NOTHING? MAYBE SOMEONE ELSE SHOULD DO THE ORDERING BECAUSE WHO EVER IS DOING IT NOW SUCKS! finally our drinks are dropped at our table & we see Laura on the other side just talking it up with her coworker friends. i'm sorry ma'am but don't you have a job to do? this was her the whole time we were at the restaurant. standing on the other end of our table or at the bar just talking it up, laughing with her friends. CRAZY HOW YOU EXPECT 20%+ TIP FOR NON-EXISTING SERVICE. it's not like we can change it, we have a party of 5 or more. what an effing joke honestly. Houdini Laura pops up again out of nowhere finally ready to take our food order. we place it quickly since we knew what we wanted 30 mins ago. fast forward to the food .. i cut in to my filet mignon steak that i requested medium rare to find out it is well done. the gal sitting right next to me ordered the same steak & asked for the same cook on hers & it was cooked perfectly. yet whoever was grilling could not do it twice?! Laura once again can't be found and minutes later we look up again .. there she is just laughing at the bar with the bartender. she finally makes her way to our table to see how our food is & i tell her my steak is not medium rare but in fact fully cooked. her response? oh no, would you like me to send it back & have it redone?! well laura, this is not what i requested & i sure as hell am not eating this so what do you think you should do? she grabs my plate & states that she went on her headset and informed the manager and they are going to put a rush on my food. a good 20 minutes pass (not even exaggerating) & the rest of the table is practically done with their meals. i flag Laura over once i see her & right off the bat she says i put your order in as 911 so it'll be at the table in 5 minutes. i tell her well everyone else is already done, so let's just wrap it up and take it togo. we decide on ordering dessert because i didn't have much to eat (i think the team just wanted to calm me down because i was angry) decided on the molten lava cake & tap that cake. we wait. wait some more. continue to wait. 25 minutes pass by & still no dessert is at one table. hell, my steak & lobster spaghetti never came either. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE 911 CALL YOU MADE LAURA?! i spot the manager that came to our table and apologized about my dinner a while back & tell him this is ridiculous! my meal that i never got to enjoy with the rest of the table still hasn't come to my table, the dessert that was placed 20 minutes ago hasn't come either ... it's now time to take these items off the bill so we can pay and get the hell out of here. he apologized again , i simply don't give a fuck at this point & walk back to my table. the manager is back at our table with the desserts & my packed meal in minutes. now this is the service we should have had all along!! some items are removed from our bill because of all the fuck ups (rightfully so) & apologized again. we all walk out annoyed or frustrated as hell. you can gloat all you want that this location is the biggest out of the 32 out there, but you guys can't seem to do anything else right. service is trash/nonexistent, your chefs can't seem to cook, your servers care more about QT with each other than patrons, you guys break more glasses than i've ever heard in my life. the list can honestly go on for days. the biggest joke?! you tell us we are only allowed to be at the table for TWO HOURS yet you're server doesn't come back to the table until an hour+ in? you guys can't do anything right. it's a joke and people aren't laughing with you, but at you. i do have to say thank you to the manager that caught me walking down the stairs trying to get the heck out of there & handing me a gift card to try to rectify this horrendous meal. the gesture was appreciated, hence the 2 stars.

Yelp
Perfect Spot for a Special Celebration I recently came here to celebrate my friend's graduation from her Master's in Business, and it was such a beautiful experience! She reserved a private room on the second floor, and it felt so cozy and special. The space had a dim, warm lighting that set the perfect mood for a celebratory dinner with friends. We had a preset course meal, and everything was delicious--from the appetizers to the main dishes. The drinks were made to order and definitely added to the fun, festive vibe of the evening. It was such a cute and classy atmosphere, and now I can't wait to go back to try more items off their regular menu. Definitely recommend this spot for any kind of celebration--or just a night out with good food and good company! Service was prompt as they had about three people checking in on us the entire time

Yelp
J and I are liking this place-- the upstairs bar has a vacation vibe, which is fantastic respite in the middle of a work week. We are working our way through the menu-- updates to follow.

Yelp
It was our first time visiting Joey, and it was fantastic! We came to celebrate my mom's birthday. Our waitress Brittany and the staff made us feel welcomed and special throughout dinner. We were greeted with complimentary drinks. Then, we sat on the rooftop, which had a nice ambience and views. Everything we ordered was incredible! We started with the Szechuan Chicken Lettuce Wraps, which were savory yet sweet and had the right amount of spiciness from the chilies. It was a great starter. For our entrées, we ordered the Joey Classic Steak, Sake Glazed Chilean Seabass, and Chargrilled Pork Chop. Wow they were all delicious! But we were pleasantly surprised by how good the Chilean seabass and pork chop were. The Chilean seabass had a rich and buttery texture, and it paired well with the flavorful dashi broth and vegetables. The pork chop was tender, juicy, and savory. It came with potato gnocchi ragout, Mexican street corn, and salsa making it a unique dish. We couldn't go wrong ordering the Joey Steak. It was cooked medium rare (as requested) and seared perfectly. For dessert, we ordered the Tap That Cake and Individually Baked Apple Pie. They were so kind and gave my mom a complimentary piece of the Crème Brûlée Cheesecake. All three desserts were so good! The overall experience here was top tier. Joey is such a great addition to the restaurants at Valley Fair. I'm sure we'll be back many more times to come!

Yelp
You will have to wait forever to get a table (my group waited 3 HOURS on a Friday night) and if you do manage to grab an OpenTable reservation...you STILL have to wait for about 15min... but I'm willing to overlook all of this because JOEY is THAT good!! Yes, the wait is long but it's worth it, especially because they'll serve you unlimited champagne and (sometimes) gyoza in front of the host's stand. My expectations of these kinds of trendy restaurants are usually low. But JOEY somehow has accomplished the very difficult task of 1. Opening in a very popular location in Valley Fair 2. Having the coolest, vibey ambiance 3. Having really good service and MOST NOTABLY 4. Serving really good Asian fusion cuisine. Not only is the atmosphere immaculate (the top floor feels like a lounge/club at night) but also every single dish I've tried here is so so good. As an Asian person, I approve of this fusion. I've been here a few times and tried most of the menu - my favorites are the udon, lettuce wraps and gyoza. However, everything is really good. It's so impressive. The cocktails are also very delicious. Not too sweet but always packs a punch. I also love that they have a cocktail section on the menu with drinks that have half the amount of alcohol as a normal cocktail - you know, for the nights where you want to dip your toes into a few nice beverages but you don't want to walk out tipsy! JOEY is mega popular for a reason and I recommend grabbing a reservation online if you're coming here. My favorite restaurant in all of Valley Fair and Santana Row.

Yelp
Since we were grabbing lunch late, we decided to do a little indulging and check out the highly anticipated JOEY Valley Fair. Our party of 4 [3 adults, 1 child] checked in and was provided a 10 minute wait. We are eventually seated at the far end of the outdoor patio, near the exit. I wasn't going to complain because the weather was beautiful and I kind of liked being in the secluded corner. The gal who seated us provided menus and mentioned that our server will be over soon, added to please be patient since some of the bar staff was actually being given tables to serve. To be honest, it took a hot minute for anyone to even come by. We immediately tell the gal that we are ready to place our entire order: *ROASTED CORN GUACAMOLE *TUNA & AVOCADO CRUNCH ROLL *SUSHI CONE [requested to remove the spicy mayo since a toddler would be eating this] *TRUFFLE UDON CARBONARA x2 *STEAK FRITES- 14 oz prime new york strip +46 *peppercorn sauce +5 *miso roasted mushrooms +8 *Arnold Palmer *Iced Tea *Water x2 **I emphasize on the drinks since my toddler was extremely thirsty** We sit around quite a bit of time before the Arnold Palmer & iced tea is dropped off. No waters. I sit around some more until I couldn't take it anymore and we are forced to flag someone down asking for our 2 waters. That again took some time to make its way to our table but by then food was already being delivered. The truffle udon carbonara & crunch roll came out first. The guac and sushi cone follow. A small gap occurs before the steak comes out. So at this point there are already issues that are clear. 1) The sushi cone had the request of spicy mayo being omitted which it was. Unfortunately, the kitchen staff decided to take it upon themselves and add in ginger which was not listed on the menu whatsoever. Ingredients are as listed: "tempura shrimp, avocado, spicy mayo, tobiko". My daughter refused eating after one bite. 2) No sign of the peppercorn sauce 3) No sign of roasted mushrooms 4) The steak arrived medium/well done as opposed to the medium rare. We flag a staff member down about the cooked steak and she immediately apologizes, taking the plate away. Then we sit and sit and sit and mf'n sit. I notice someone and request for a refill on the waters and request for another iced tea. Then we proceed to wait. To be real, the only consistent thing about JOEY seemed to be WAITING. A long while passes before the new steak arrived and although this staffer was only there to drop off our re-issued steak, we informed her that there were items that never made it out. A short moment later, we meet Jack [management]. He also apologizes and lets us know that there seems to be some kind of glitch causing the large delay. I appreciated him being upfront and acknowledging our wait, & personally stopping by to address things. Apparently there were other issues that had been occurring with the neighboring tables as well so this was not an isolated problem. A short time later, in comes the peppercorn sauce & mushrooms to complement our now cold steak. But!! Everything tasted so good regardless of temperature. To end our meal we decided to place an order for dessert. We asked the female employee what recommendation she would give between the molten chocolate cake & the butter cake. Per her request, go for the butter cake but swap out the raspberry sauce and replace it with chocolate drizzle. Sounded great, right?? Unfortunately, the cake came out as is, no substitutions. At this point, I ate our dessert and was just ready to move on. 3.5 stars overall. This has absolutely been THEEE LONGEST meal I have ever endured. Not only was the wait for food rough but to get incorrect items or not have items show up at all just added to the wait. I appreciated management going out of his way to rectify the situation but the issues continued to occur. I'm not sure if this was a result of being short staffed in the kitchen and the kitchen staff not properly reading the food tickets but the staff seemed pretty clear & attentive when taking down orders. In short: the food is legit really good, staff is extremely friendly. The issues lie in the preparation and execution of things as a whole. I'd happily come back to enjoy this delicious food again, just praying for a more smoother process & being able to enjoy my hot dishes HOT.

Yelp
Severely disappointed with this place. I decided to celebrate a birthday here. The reservation was at 4:45pm I wasn't seated until 5:15pm. The server didn't come to the table to greet us for a long time not even take our drink order. The crazy part is it wasn't that busy, given there were empty tables and a bunch of staff that seemed to standing around. The server didn't apologize for the delay in greeting the table. Then half way through, another sever came and addressed us that she would be taking over our table... and she was a much better server (checking on the table). Although it took long to take down our order the food all did come out at the same time which was positive. The food was decent. The ravioli and steak had a great flavor. The drink was good, despite it taking along time to come out. Overall, the service lacked and the food was decent.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday around noon and got seated quickly, which was great. The ambiance was lovely. We were placed in a corner seat, and unfortunately, it felt like we were forgotten. Took a long time for a server to come take our order, and again we had to wait a while to pay. Oddly, the server kept going to the table right before ours but barely acknowledged us. We tried the Truffle Udon Carbonara -- super flavorful! The rich truffle aroma and creamy cheese-egg sauce coated the chewy udon beautifully. Just wish the portion was bigger -- it felt like just a few bites. The Spicy Crab Dip was so-so. The seasoning was too heavy for my taste, kind of overwhelming and covered up the crab flavor. The highlight was definitely the Scallop & Shrimp Ceviche. Fresh, bright, and perfect for a hot day. The citrus tang, sweet seafood, and herbs were all balanced really well.

Yelp
Finally! The hottest new spot that everyone is raving about for the last few months. I came by with a party of 8 for my cousins birthday and immediately I was like WOW! This place is nice! We ended up sitting upstairs which has a great view. We orders shareable appetizers and shareable entrees as everything was massive. Would def recommend sharing everything to have more variety! They also have a ton of drink options. Who doesn't like a little drink with food? The wait staff was great as well which made my experience so much better.

Yelp
Spicy crab dip 9/10 Dip very flavorful and bread is nice and toasted Bang bang chicken 4/10 Sauce was ok too much Hibachi wings 6/10 Seasoned well and dip was good Steak and lobster spaghetti 7/10 Noodles sauced well steak needed a bit more salt Butter cake 3/10 Gave cornbread not really cake deff not touching Mastros Creme brûlée cheese cake 7/10 Cheesecake could have been a bit colder, but it was a free birthday desert so I'm not complaining Service/ overall 8/10 From the moment we stepped into the establishment we was greeted and met with sparking wine. Seated fairly quickly considering our reservation was for a later time. Server was on point very attentive. Food came out fast and fresh! The restaurant was nice clean and vibey. Restrooms was clean and had purse holders

Yelp
Food (3/5) The food is vaguely Asian-American fusion. I got the Steak & Sushi (with seared salmon roll) (3/5). The steak was tough to chew and the seared salmon roll was good but salty. The steak was also very salty with the amount of ponzu sauce it was soaked in. I was not impressed as it was $40. The truffle parmesan fries were good, but how wrong can you go with fries ? Price (3/5) Entrees are $20 and up. Definitely paying for ambiance and the free glass of champagne/iced tea. Wait Time (4/5) We came at 1pm on a Sunday and waited ~45mins before we got a table (no reservation). Service (5/5) Servers were attentive (maybe a little too much so, we had 4 separate servers check on us six separate times in the span of 30mins at some point). Ambiance (3/5) The inside is beautiful and there is a lot of seating available (upstairs and downstairs). However we were seated upstairs in the outside area which was beautiful and had plants, only the sun had pre-heated the patio seats (which was not cloth but plastic, so held onto the heat). It was hard sitting in the direct sun with little shade while the seats were burning our thighs and bottoms. Bathrooms are nice and well-maintained. Parking/Access (5/5) Located at Westfield Valley Fair by Shake Shack/Cheesecake Factory/Apple Store. Lots of parking options available. Nice place to celebrate for large parties. Make sure you're not seated in the upstairs outside seating area if coming on a hot sunny day. I wouldn't be back as the food was not up to my standards.

Yelp
I had a great time with my girlfriend. It was our first time here and we both agreed we would come back. She ordered the pasta carbonara, she said it was more towards plain taste. On the other hand, my chicken bowl was amazing and I would love to order it again. Service was a little bit slow but our server was very nice and friendly.

Yelp
I honestly was not expecting this place to be as good as it was! Service: 9/10 The servers were really attentive! Also one server was a saint and helped my friend put in an order with the bartender for a custom strawberry cocktail. It was delicious! Food took quite a while to come out though, but also understandable since they just opened recently. Cocktails: 10/10 The Coconut Smash was so good. Refreshing and not too sweet. The Watermelon Drink was delicious! Definitely ordering for myself next time. Food: 8.5/10 Let me just start with the crab dip appetizer.... it was amazing. I just wish they gave a little more bread since the dip to bread ratio is a little off. The steak & ravioli bianco was good but nothing special. It definitely needed a little more sauce and flavor. Now the star of the show was the truffle udon carbonara, it was so delicious and flavorful! Udon was cooked to perfection. I love how you could taste the truffle and it paired so well with the dashi. Highly recommend the truffle udon carbonara!

Yelp
I have not shut up about this place since my last visit over a month ago. I love the vibe, especially for the upstairs seating (18+)! It is such a good spot for a girls night out or for a date night. The staff is also extremely friendly! The food was a 10/10, although I'd skip on their sushi dishes and opt for the pasta options instead. They were out of the ravioli when I went, which is what I was looking forward to the most :( The drinks are on the lighter side, as my friends and I all got two drinks each but did not feel any buzz from it. I am excitedly waiting for the next time I can come back! Be sure to make a reservation beforehand as it does get booked out and busy.

Yelp
WOW. JOEY Valley Fair. WOW. Reservations: I needed a table for 9 people for my birthday dinner on a Friday. I emailed Amy Hunter (Private Events Manager) a week before the event, and she called me within an hour of my email. She sent photos and informed me of my options: (1) small private room: $1750 spending minimum, fits 12 people, 2 hour time limit (2) large private room: $3500 spending minimum, fits 20 people, 3 hour time limit (3) regular seating: $0 spending minimum, 2 hour time limit I ended up going with the regular seating. Amy emailed me my booking confirmation quickly. Waiting: My friends and I got to JOEY at our reservation time, 8:30 pm, but our table wasn't ready yet. All the workers were really nice and genuinely apologized for being late because of another party taking a long time. Luckily it was a nice night- we didn't mind waiting outside and enjoyed our complimentary sparkling wine, tea, and sangria. Samantha showed me some other available seating options such as booths, but I still wanted a full table. OMG. Free appetizers! We got seated around 9:00 pm. Our table was on the rooftop- they gave us some cute ambient lighting. Very classy and swanky ambience. We were gifted FOUR complimentary appetizers and TWO bottles of wine for being seated late! WOW. They gave us hummus, scallop and shrimp ceviche, Szechuan chicken lettuce wraps, and seared salmon sushi. Everything was delicious! My friends and I loved the seared salmon sushi so much that we ordered more. Food & Drinks: I ordered the Steak & Ravioli Bianco as my main entree. OMG. It was amazing. The truffle beurre blanc sauce was delicious and I would definitely get this again. My friends had the sea bass, steaks, tuna salad, tacos, and they said everything was yummy! For my drink, I had the Kalamansi Lychee Cooler. (Pro Tip: you can make the low alcohol drinks high alcohol!) I wish it was a little stronger, but it tasted good! My friends also liked their watermelon cocktail and Skrewball Espresso Martini. After dinner, my friends surprised me with cake. JOEY was able to save a cake my friend brought in their fridge, added a candle, AND they did free cake cutting for us! Overall, 11/10. Shoutout to Amy for a smooth reservation, and Bella and Samantha for being excellent servers and making my birthday extra special! I'm definitely coming back. :D Food = amazing. Ambience = amazing. Service = OUTSTANDING.

Yelp
Not worth it, complete hype. The dishes are expensive for small portions. Their steak is the best option that they serve. Dishes (ranked by best): 1) Appetizer: steak on garlic bread 2) Miso Udon: small portion and too salty. The sauce is good, but with the bacon bits, it makes the dish too salty. 3) Sea Bass: texture was good, but the fish lacked flavor as they were relying solely on the mild sauce for flavor. *Added bonus: they provide complementary champagne while waiting to be seated* Logistics: -rec to make reservation in advance -located at Valley fair shopping mall -plenty of parking available at the mall -accepts card

Yelp
We waited almost 3 hours to dine here and honestly, I'd rather come back when the hype has finally died. 1) BEAUTIFUL restaurant. However, I don't know why it's SO dark inside. 2) Memorable food items were: cevice and chicken salad. The mains are very okay. 3) Came here for my birthday and another server gave us our desert right before we even got food on our table. 4) Service is very good, however. They are all dressed professionally and are on top of things. Looking forward to coming back and try other items on the menu

Yelp
Got drinks while waiting for our table tonight and Trang helped us and made us two rounds, and her expresso martini is KILLER & she truly is just a gem of a bartender. Would come back just because of her! *upgrade to the peanut butter skrewball
