Yelp
Okay so I've been to JOEY three times since they opened in April and honestly? They've nailed it every time. The service, the food, the drinks, the vibe -- all 10/10.
First of all, you get a complimentary glass of champagne as soon as you walk in. Can't lie its my favorite part lol. Everyone working there is super friendly and on top of it. Even when it's busy, they don't miss a beat -- they're moving nonstop but always smiling, and somehow still find time to check in and chat like you're a regular.
Every time I've gone, a floor manager has personally stopped by our table (whether we're at the bar or seated). It honestly feels like they genuinely care about your experience, which I really appreciate.
Now for the good stuff -- drinks + food:
We went this past Friday and it was packed, but our server Abby was a total pro. Got our drink orders in fast and gave great recs. We tried the Coconut Smash, Espresso Martini, and Old Fashioned -- all super good and came out quick even with the rush.
Appetizer:
We started with the French Dip Bites -- flavor was amazing, but they're a little small for the price. Still worth a try.
Entrée (for me):
I actually just ordered the Szechuan Chicken Lettuce Wraps from the app menu as my dinner -- sooo good. The spicy sauce with the little crispy wontons? Unreal. Only thing I'd change is how they serve the lettuce -- it's just a whole head on the plate lol. Would be nicer if it came pre-portioned, but whatever, it was fire.
The rest of the table:
My mom, MIL, and her sister all got burgers. Fries were hot, burgers cooked perfectly -- no complaints at all. They were super happy.
Second round of drinks:
The moms loved their first round so they got the same again, but I wanted something new. Tyler (floor manager for our section) recommended the Lychee Martini and wow. Light, not too sweet, and still had a kick. Tyler also kept checking in and even helped refill waters and buss tables -- you can tell he actually cares and supports his team. Love that.
Dessert time:
We got the Butter Cake and the Tap That Cake. The Tap That one is fun -- they pour hot chocolate sauce over the dome and you smack it with a spoon to crack it open. Inside is a rich, brownie-like cake. Pretty heavy, but the moms were obsessed. I was more into the Butter Cake -- warm, fluffy, and paired perfectly with the raspberry sauce. Soooo good.
Final thoughts?
JOEY just gets it. The energy, the food, the people -- it all feels intentional and elevated, but still super chill and welcoming. Whether it's a night out with your friends, a cute date, or a dinner with your fam, you'll feel taken care of.
Oh and shoutout to the team for asking me to leave a review -- I totally forgot Yelp existed
5/5, every time.
