Joey’s Pizza

If you are in the area you gotta try Joey’s. my wife and I split a jalapeño pepperoni, medium pizza and still had three slices to spare the crust has a nice crisp. The sauce was wonderful. The cheese wasn’t oily at all, and the pizza had minimal flop. We will totally be back to this place, and the staff was really friendly to top it off. Definitely pick one up to eat at home.

I'm born and raised in NYC. Now it's not Ray's Original, but it tasty and the closest in Orange county. The service is great and there's always a ball game in the TV's.

Super delicious! The crust was very tasty. We got the thin crust, it wasn’t as thin as I thought it would be, it leaned more towards a regular thickness of crust, but it was still delicious. Maybe keep that in mind if you’re ordering the regular pizza? It might have a thicker than normal crust? I’m not sure… But everything tasted so good we got the barbecue chicken and a pepperoni with pineapple. You can tell that they make their own sauce and like I said before the dough was really good. Not too much cheese, not greasy. So so good! We will definitely be going back.

Being from NY, I was excited to try their slice. It looked great, and it was perfectly cooked. Then I tasted it. There was absolutely no flavor to the sauce. It was so tasteless, that I felt like I was just eating dough and cheese.

I’d give 10 stars if I could. Best pizza ever, customer service and atmosphere is 11/10, we love coming here for dinner. Cant say enough good things about the staff, all the guys here are so great!

The best pizza of all time. I have been coming here for 20 plus years and counting. The have very good quality food and there service is outstanding. There wings and hot sandwiches are very good too. Be there soon. Thank you Joeys Pizza.

My whole family comes here weekly, toddlers included, and we always have the best time. Everyone loves the food. It's our favorite pizza in town!!!

What went well? The pizza was a revelation! The crust was sturdy but crisp and delicious. The sauce was just what you want, tomato, basil, sweet-tart! The cheese/pepperoni ratio was just right and very satisfying. The ambiance is "pizza joint" there are some nice tables out front, plenty of parking. The place is as unassumingly wonderful as possible. As we sat enjoying our pizza two of my friends just showed up to pick up their own pizzas. It was a charming a small-town experience as you could hope for. Joey's was recommended by my friend's grandson, 14. He and his buddies from Edison high like to chow there after water polo! The service was minimal as was the salad. The beer was cold and everybody was super friendly. I don't think you can go wrong here. Maybe you will see some friends like I did!

Besides their awesome pizzas and salads, Joey's has a phenomenal meatball sandwich. Everything about the sandwich is just great. From the toasted bread to the generous amount of meatballs, the rich and zesty tomato sauce with the melted cheese on top. Next time you're at Joey's, do yourself a favor and treat yourself to the meatball sandwich.

LONG TIME customer sad to say goodbye. Closing early on Friday? And ON Halloween ??? Spent all night trick or treating with my kids and all they wanted when they got home was Joeys pizza. They were so sad when I had to tell them they closed early. VERY DISAPPOINTED. It's terrible how lazy kids can ruin a good business.

Joey's Pizza was GREAT! I just moved to the area and I'm so glad to have found my new " go to " pizza shop. The side salad was fresh and had a nice mix of ingredients. I'm looking forward to trying the buffalo wings sometime soon. The staff was SUPER nice, too.

We love Joeys! We order it early once a week for our pizza Fridays. Recently realized they have pasta which is perfect when I want to change it up or get something quick before a long run or race. They have THE best ranch of any pizza place by far as well.

We had your basic pepperoni pizza and garlic bread. They use fresh garlic on the garlic bread which made it taste great. The pizza taste was great as well. They have pizza by the spice too if you don't want a whole pizza. Highly recommend this pizza place and the staff that made the pizza was extremely friendly.

Ok then, you can most likely see that we've been a fan of Joey's Pizza for more than 5 years. On our way home from the doctrs office we thought of getting a quick bite. You know that Joey's Pizza has these great specials of getting slices of pizza with a drink and a salad for a pretty fair $$. For that price the lovely missus gets two slices and a cheese Ravioli boxed to go. My slice has a good amount of savory Italian Sausage topping and the choice of help yourself to your drinks is plenty. An ice laden pink lemonade is really soothing and I could not help but to refill my cup. My take out order was the fantastic Luparello's Special..a beast of a piled high Italian cold cuts on a bed of greens and topped with that special gabagool ... it was a darn great dinner for me. We lingered awhile watching patrons and an action movie on the corner big screen. Our pizza maker was busy but he served us well. We like stopping at Joey's Pizza for a quick bite of their super crunch pizza edges and mild tomato sauce. We will come back and let's stop at the last vinyl record store next door before we drive off.

Yummmmmmmm! The pizza is good! Large pizza slices, canned beer, soda pops, Italian food, and delicious pizza. This place checks all the boxes. I think the pizza tastes like wood fire pizza. I could be wrong. But I wasn't trying to check out the kitchen. My companion and I ran in here mid-week. We had to discuss some plans for an upcoming business meeting so we were a bit pre-occupied. But the restaurant was busy with singles, families, and take out orders. We waited a bit for the pizza but I was in no rush. Definitely worth the wait. And worth the price. It is delicious! Happy eating!

Pizza itself? 5 stars People that work here? 1 star Ordered a pizza and wings for pickup and was told 15-20 mins, showed up 25min later to be told, incredulously, that it would be another 10 or 15min. Whatever, it's Friday night they're busy, I get it. I sit and wait for my order for an additional 15min while listening to the employees take multiple complaint calls from customers as they respond with 'oh well yeah that guy's a f*cking r*tard' and 'oh, was it *this* type of guy? Yeah they always call and complain'. Meanwhile whatever show they have on in the dining area is clearly only for 18+ audiences, to say the least. It sucks that their pizza/wings are good bc otherwise I would go anywhere else. I guess that makes it 'authentic New York pizza?' *edit they burnt the life outta our wings tonight

Great little pizza shop. I like the old Skool vibe. Great lunch specials and they always heat up your slices so the crust is crunchy. Amazing. There are several tables to watch television if you're there for lunch. Love this place.

I have been coming to this pizza shop for years. Since before the revamp! This shop is so so wonderful. I always have a stellar experience here and I literally tell any person who will listen to me to try out their food. This is the closest thing to NYC pizza and I will happily out of my way to eat here regularly because it's so good. They offer a huge assortment of food, but the pizza is the star. They offer a rewards program now, which is great to see. So happy to support this out of the world local business

First time here! We're heading to Sugo's and my daughter wanted to stop and try their pizza. We're at Joey's Pizza for the first time trying it out! The staff member who took our order was really nice and kind. They have sports TVs on, so we're watching UFC and baseball at the same time. The smell of the pizza is out of this world! We ordered a vegetarian, the works and a BBQ chicken. The crispiness of the pizza dough, the tangy marinara, and the perfectly browned cheese... it was just like a song you want to sing. We'll be back for sure! Thank you so much for standing out supreme

Not the same Joey's I've know for all these years. The sub was ok, but the new guy was quite curt with me. I phoned in the order and picked up while running errands. He was deep into a personal conversation with a woman and I had to interrupt to get my sandwich. He tossed it on the counter and demanded Is that it? I said no and had to get the woman to move so I could get chips. Again he demanded Is that it? No, I'd like a drink. Again, Is that it? Yes, thanks. He then rejoined the personal conversation with the woman at the far counter an I dispensed the clear liquid root beer. I once again had to interrupt the conversation to report the root beer fail. I dumped it and got a dr pepper. Needless to say, no tip and won't be back. I miss the cheerful guys that used to work there. I was their only customer at lunchtime...you'd think they'd be more attentive.

Nice guys great, fast service. Pizza is above anything else around. Very authentic and consistent. Tastes great there or to-go. Look forward to coming back and trying the other items.

Extremely rude guy that worked today! Not friendly or welcoming! I asked him for some plates, and he had to give me an ignorant annoying look like I was asking him for a huge favor or something. Thats a shame I would have given this place a higher review! Learn some customer service please!

Ordered several pizzas to feed hungry movers. Many had not heard of Joey's before and were thrilled to try something new. We ordered online and it was ready in a timely manner. Can't wait to come again! Don't be afraid to try something new and the pastrami pizza was amazing!

I am from New York, and I am very picky on the pizza I eat! By far, Joey's Pizza is one of the best I've had in Orange County! There is something about the combination and quality of ingredients used that gives the perfect taste and texture for a delicious meal! Joey's has been around for many years for a reason! They have kept the original recipes and periodically add new menu items! The restaurant is clean and has a cozy, café-style decor. The service is efficient and courteous and the website is easy to navigate for online orders!

Been going here for over 10 years love that when the sun took it over he didn't change a thing. Best crust in town, best topping, and THE BEST CREW in SoCal, for real super cool, and treat you like family. Yes it makes the pizza better

If you're looking for a mom & pop pizza shop this one is for you! We are so lucky to have Joeys in our neighborhood. Quality service, decent prices, huge portions. Their house marinara really sets the pizza and subs apart from other joints. The friendly staff are efficient and helpful.

Classic family homemade style Italian pizza, pastas, wings and 13" sandwiches. Wait time was reasonable with two tv's that had games on to pass the time. Lots of locals came in for a slice and beer/drinks with a friendly environment. My family and I loved everything we ordered and the pizza pie had just the right amount of grease with tasty sauce and cheese done right. Our order: Large Pepperoni & Sausage pizza $25.48 Whole sandwich Luparello's Special (#5) 12.79 Whole sandwich Meatballs with Cheese $11.43 Lasagna with meat & cheese $12.50 Garlic bread $3.65 Small BBQ Chicken Pizza $17.16 With tip & tax total was $104.29. Everything was delicious, quality of ingredients was perfect! As a busy mom it was nicely organized for easy carry out. Will definitely be back for more!

I have been ordering pizza from Joey's for a long time. They have never disappointed me with their pizza. I have to get it delivered though. But it's always been hot and good at Joey's.

Strong five stars. I occasionally dig through records next-door. I went yesterday with my wife and to thank her for patiently waiting while I found an unopened 21-year-old D2 album, I decided to reward her with a pizza. Chicks love pizza. As soon as we walk through the front door, I knew we were going to love it. Super friendly young kids working in the counter very casual atmosphere a party came in with four little kids so the guys working there turned on a Disney movie for them and it instantly Captured your attention and quieted them down. Nice gesture for all of us. Now to the pizza. We got pepperoni well done and it was perfect. We ate half of it and brought half home and warmed it up a few hours later on our pizza stone. This is one old school pizza place that I can't wait to return to. Check them out, you won't be disappointed.

The food is excellent, whether it be pizza, sandwiches, pasta or wings. The owners and staff are friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is clean and well maintained.

We have been ordering pizza from here for about 8-9 years. It was always good as we are from Chicago. BUT, the last 2 pizza orders were not good and we are thinking of not returning. We order thin crust and the first one was 1/2 thin & 1/2 regular. Both had little tomato sauce and not a lot of cheese. This is what we liked in the past. We always order either a large or medium, with 1/2 sausage and 1/2 meatball. That was skimpy too. I would rather pay a little more and get a good product. Last 2 times were 9/3 & 9/28 which was the worst one. The guys are nice and have orders on time. Improve or Good Bye.

We ordered a pizza tonight and had it delivered. We asked for extra cheese, pepperoni, Canadian bacon and olives. What we got was the toppings didn't begin for 3 inches from the edge of the pizza or more and anyone who thinks that we got extra cheese is mistaken. It was dry. It was awful, and when we called to complain the manager, Zach argued with us and told us that it was a good pizza. My wife said that he didn't eat it we did and it wasn't good. Needless to say, we will never order from Joey's pizza again.

Pizza is usually not a first choice for me in terms of fast food but this place has really changed my mind. My boyfriend had dragged me here after trying the Pastrami Pizza and I had hesitated on getting my own slice or chicken wings but I ultimately ended up getting a Sausage Pizza. We had ordered by the slice (which I definitely regretted after finishing mine). The style of pizza was thin with good portions of sausage, cheese, and sauce. The crust was so crispy!! I would probably recommend maybe getting at least two if you want to be completely full. You can also ask for chili flakes on the side if you are bringing this to-go. We only had to wait less than 10 minutes for it and it came out so hot and fresh. Such a great homemade pizza! Definitely come try it out.

...discovered a hot spot in fountain valley tonight. joey's pizza...but i didn't come in for the pie. i was craving a meatball and cheese sub, which i never ever order. hot toasted bread, big ass meatballs, and oozing mozzarella. so damn good! a half sandwich for $5.99 was filling. chased it all down with a half order of wings. crispy goodness. hidden gem for sure

This place has had my favorite pizza for a long long time. I am so sad but the last couple times I have ordered the experience has been terrible. The pizza has not tasted like it used too and I don't feel like the pizza is made with the same love it used to be. There have been a lot of mistakes and trust me I know mistakes happen but how they're handled speaks volumes. Please Joeys take this review as it's meant to be taken as constructive criticism and work to do better.

This place is amazing. Great staff and food. The R.C review was silly considering they were closed on a holiday, really one star???? Pizza is great! Little dining area has movies on and is cozy. Definitely try Joey's!

Neighborhood gem right here. Have been eating here since it was called Lupperello's. A few different owners, but to be honest, the food is still EXCELLENT. Only wish chicken parm was on the menu. Our family go to for pizza and meatball subs.

Consistently a great pizza every time we've ordered delivery. Their ranch dressing is one of the best pizza dipping ranches. Dudes on the phone taking orders are kinda jerks, but they seem super busy all the time so they get a pass in my book.

I can't explain how amazing this place is. I had a class emergency at a middle school near by. Costco dropped the ball and I was facing an entire classroom of kids when no lunch. When I call Joey's the immediately started cooking pizza immediately and had them done within 10 minutes I delivered them to the middle school and the kids were happy. Joey's Pizza helped me out today in such a big way. They are a great place

We order for pick up frequently and have always had incredibly tasty hot pizza, so when I was having some friends over I wanted to share this great place with them. I called a day ahead and told them I would be ordering 5 large pizzas the following day and asked how much time they would need to have them ready for a 5:50 p/up. They said to call it in at 4, which I did. The pizza was picked up on time and arrived home ice cold. Very disappointing.

The meat lovers with bread sticks was awesome. Simple yet unique style to vibe. Freshly hot to get for lunch on the go. Definitely blessed and recommended to come. Selection to choose is perfect all around.

Great food in a small pizza restaurant. The staff is friendly and hard working. Zach was fast and efficient, along with being kind. The eggplant parm sandwich was huge and delicious! The Eggplant was tasty, not too much breading. It was smothered with Marina and cheese. The bread was crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. My husband enjoyed the pepperoni pizza. Perfect crust with the perfect amount of sauce, cheese, and meat. We will definitely be back!
