The Best Restaurants at Edinburgh Festival Fringe 2022 | Where to Eat - Eater London
"Checkpoint’s enviable Bristo Place location makes it ideal for those visiting Underbelly, The Pleasance, and Gilded Balloon, as does its 12 midnight closing time. The menu’s a relatively standard journey through normcore breakfast, brunch, and dinner, but the food is near-universally better than it needs to be, pricing is keen, and the lack of complication is perfect for the post-four-shows-in-a-day fug." - James Hansen
Wonderful collection. Went in there today and got 2 mugs as a souvenir of the highlands, Mr Stephen (or steven) was super helpful and knowledgeable. Beautifully displayed and great work. Unique glazes and so many different styles

Really fabulous collection of wares and friendly, knowledgeable staff. Was lucky to be in the shop when David from Highland Stoneware was visiting - a real treat to hear him walk through their glaze-making process! Will definitely be back next time I’m in town.

Hi there! Looking to purchase some Seascape plates(possibly the 7” ones?) to match our mugs. Are you open this Wednesday 10th Sept 2025? If so, what time? Thanks!

Hello,
I absolutely love your cups, but I noticed that your store isn't open until Wednesday. Unfortunately, I’m traveling on Tuesday. Is there any way to place an order online or make alternative arrangements?
Thank you!

Really friendly service. I popped in to get something for my grandmother a couple of years ago and Mr Thomson was so kind and we had an amazing chat. I popped in about a year ago to say hello and he remembered me. Lovely chap and very knowledgeable about his stock. Definitely worth visiting if you are on the look ot for some china.

My favorite shop for Highland Stoneware and my collection of mugs. Worth at every Edinburgh visit 👍

Very friendly service alongside a wide range of beautiful Highland Stoneware. A true Aladin's cave of (pottery) treasures (and I'm delighted to have finally replaced my broken mug)!

Gentle, civilised, old-fashioned service and courtesy. The stock is lovely, but the shopping experience is something to treasure.
