I stopped by the Black Box looking for some Texas Barbecue today and I found it. John Mueller had the boys running today. They were already out of the Jalapeno Boudin and Hot gut when I got there so I missed our there. However, John had some excellent brisket ready. Hmmm, I wonder where he learned to do that? He also had some pork ribs that were spot on as well. For my desert I had bread and bbq sauce and it was good as well. I got there a little after 1:00 and all the tables were full except for one little spot for me. Oh, and he had a game on without volume and George Strait singing at full volume. If you haven't been to the Black Box, this is one stop you can't miss.

Definitely a top 5 BBQ place in the Austin area , which is pretty amazing considering the competition. The beef rib is the star here. But the potato salad here is an incredible supporting cast member, definitely not your typical potato salad. Brisket and everything else is great . Sausage is the only thing I might pass on if I had to give up one item. But all the meats are great

I love their sides: cheesey squash and sriracha cole slaw! Very few places have non-standard sides. The beef ribs was dry and overcooked on the edges. The sausage was good if you like fine ground meat.

Delicious! Beef ribs were so good and the brisket so tender. Defenetly recommend

This was outstanding. We ordered brisket, pork ribs, and turkey. The brisket was outstanding, the pork ribs were delicious, and the turkey was the best I have ever tasted. We had the pleasure of meeting Mr. John Mueller and he was a very kind guy. Everyone one and everything was perfect. I dare anyone who thinks they can do better to come to Georgetown. My dad couldn’t believe that they threw in a free ice cold beer to boot. I definitely recommend this place.

We were very excited to try Black Box as we're big fans of great BBQ, and love other places John had been associated with. I was honestly very disappointed. Brisket was very dry, overcooked and had minimal flavor without the sauce. It's one of the worst briskets I've had. Sausage was bland as well. The beef ribs was juicy, but again lacked flavor. For the price charged, I expect much higher quality BBQ.

Had a great lunch with my daughter's. We tried the brisket, sausage, and turkey. Markets makes a rock solid Texas brisket. Perfect bark, moist inside, and the perfect amount of fat. Turkey was great, mustard potato salad was a big surprise. I don't u usually like potato salad unless I make it, but this was good. My daughter's brisket sandwich was worth every penny. Full of brisket and a good sauce. Hope he stays in Georgetown.

This place was awesome. We had brisket, ribs and sausage and they were all very good. Best BBQ within 24,901 miles in any direction. The meat slicer was awesome and cut our meat perfectly. Saw The famous John Mueller and he was awesome as well. We couldn't have had a better experience. If you're ever within 24,901 miles of John Muellers, you should definitely stop in.
