"Johnny Angel’s Diner takes patrons back to the 1950s with its black and white checkered tile floors, neon signs, and retro posters on the walls. The diner prides itself on fresh, never-frozen burgers, house-made dressings, and hand-dipped milkshakes. It’s especially popular among those craving an indulgent breakfast like the Captain Crunch cereal-crusted French toast. This dish is generously topped with bananas, strawberries, and whipped cream and finished with graham crackers crumbs. Weekend visitors have the added perk of bottomless mimosas when they order any sweet or savory plate." - Megan duBois

"No matter what time the breakfast cravings call, Johnny Angel’s Diner has it ready for hungry diners. The 50’s-themed diner comes complete with neon signs, checkerboard flooring, and bright blue bar stools. Each of the menu items are named after an icon of the 50s like Betty Boop and the Elvis made with country fried steak on top of a biscuit with white gravy, two eggs, and grits or potatoes. For something sweet consider the Breakfast at Tiffany’s, a Cap’n Crunch covered French toast topped with bananas and strawberries." - Megan duBois

I stopped by Johnny Angel’s Diner this morning for breakfast and loved the experience. The place has a full-on 1950s vibe, really fun atmosphere. I got there early and was glad I did, because people started pouring in right after I ordered. The staff was super friendly, and the prices were very reasonable. My breakfast was excellent, the homemade biscuit was grilled to perfection and the bacon was nice and crisp. Great food, great price, and great vibes. I’ll definitely be going back!

Fantastic place with the throwback nostalgia. Got there at a great time when not busy. Waitress was friendly and very attentive. The atmosphere was filled with oldies songs and a TV playing old wholesome shows. We had the Joey's burger and the Philly burger. Added a cup of chili with onions and cheese. Strawberry shake to top it off. They serve Pepsi products, tea and lemonade. Breakfast all day and a fabulous menu. Service was fast and everything was cooked fresh. Must go visit place!

Breakfast was a little bit pricey but the food was good. The waitress that took our order was scarce but luckily the service people that cleared and reset tables were very helpful. Atmosphere is cool keeps you busy looking around at everything. Love old-time stuff that's familiar to me lol. I'd give it $$$$and make sure to ask for all you want when the food delivery person brings food.

Stopped by for brunch Sunday. I went with the corned beef hash served with over-medium eggs and grits. The hash was cooked crispy, just how I like it. I do wish the portion size was a bit bigger though. I also got a taste of my wife’s omelette and it was really good. The mocha shake was refreshing and hit the spot. Service was friendly and welcoming.

My fiance and I stopped by for lunch after our passport appointment and Johnny angels did not disappoint. We’ve been coming here for Atleast 6 years and not once have I had bad food here. Their French toast is so good but today I got the cheeseburger and fries with a cheesecake malt and the whole meal was Grade A++. The retro setting+ jukebox really make eating food kinda fun which I didn’t think I’d ever say lol. Maybe it’s the upbeat pop music and the fast service but we couldn’t help but dance in ours seats while eating food and watching the old timey TV shows playing! I absolutely love this place and highly recommend anytime you visit Jacksonville!!!

Google
What cute, stepping back in time diner. It reminded me of a nicer version of Johnny Rockets. It had a local vibe. The service and food was good. They even brought out a sample of their chocolate, peanut butter malt shake for us to enjoy while waiting for our food. My daughter had a steak and cheese and said it was good. I had a cheese burger with chili cheese fries. Both were good. We took home a gigantic slice of cake for later. It wasn't bad but might have been in the case for a couple days. We look forward to going back to try their breakfast options.

Stopped in 7/21 to this unexpected themed restaurant. From the outside looks normal, but once you step inside that’s where it gets interesting. The 50’s and 60’s popped right up. Music playing and tv showing some timed era movie with some nostalgia sprinkled throughout. But I know you are here for the service and food. The service was great a little slow but the menu says that on the weekend it can be sluggish, the staff super friendly and caring A+ in my book. The food on the other hand my wife ordered the “Breakfast At Tiffany's which was French toast dipped in Captain Crunch creal and topped with bananas, strawberries, and whipped cream. Sprinkled with graham crackers.” This thing was magnificent (from samples she provided me) fluffy, and the flavors were spot on and the fruit was really fresh. Overall I would have ordered it but I wanted a sandwich. In turn I ordered “The Hard Top of A fresh sandwich-sized English muffin or jumbo biscuit filled with ham, bacon, or sausage, (2) large scrambled eggs, and American cheese. This sandwich was so good. The eggs were cooked perfectly and the bacon was super crispy (which I loved) and thick (even better) overall I was extremely happy with this sandwich. Overall the experience here fantastic and the breakfast we were looking for. Just remember you come here the weekend be prepared for a wait but the food is worth it. We plan to come here again in the future for sure.

Yelp
Today, my aunt, uncle, & I decided to come here for a change. We love the nostalgic atmosphere of this restaurant. I love the old remnant from the movies including I Love Lucy television program. (Life-size Elvis I'm indifferent about ha ha ha). I'm gonna start out first talking about our server, Alexis. What a phenomenal individual she is, greeting us with the most genuine smile, knowing her menu options, very well and maintaining such a great sense of humor. She is a true asset for Johnny Angels! The food I have to say was very good, my aunt loved her banana pancakes (we specifically came here because she was craving tremendous pancakes, and she believes these are the best in town.) my uncle and I both had more the traditional breakfast, with large portions. You definitely do not leave here hungry. Their corned beef hash was full of flavor and I really did enjoy their potatoes which was an unexpected treat. (they were brought to me by accident, but it was worth it). Overall, this was definitely worth the drive! When I go back, I'm definitely gonna have to do the pancakes because they looked perfect, they were not dark brown, rather a beautiful golden brown

Yelp
I've been in a few times when visiting friends. Always good food and service! The portions are generous for the price! I got a custom omelet and my friend got French toast and said no meat so the waitress asked if I wanted it since wed get charged... um yes! Love the decor and the juke box!

Mitchell M.

Yelp
The Restaurant is located in a strip mall tucked back from St John's Bluff. Plenty of parking. As you walk up to the restaurant your not expecting what's inside because the outside of the restaurant is modern looking, but as you walk in you're transported back in time with the checker board counter, the memorabilia hanging on the walls and even the booths had the 50s vibe. A TV in the back we were sitting close to was playing a Doris Day movie. Really cool concept. We were greeted by a bubbly server promptly. The menu items are names appropriately. I ordered the Elvis Special and wanted to try something unique and different from the standard breakfast. It didn't disappoint. Everything was cooked perfectly. We will definitely be back! The Burger is next!

Yelp
Was the food bad? No. Was it great? No. I'd say decent. I totally understand small diner food, but this seemed like that's the image and not the reality. I feel like salt and pepper should at the very least be a minimum, everything was bland. Not bad, just bland. I will say my cheesy grits were just a couple bags of the instant cheese grits. Like I said, diner image, not diner food. Service wasn't the best but to their credit we were there in peak brunch time on a Saturday so I'm honestly not holding that against anyone, it was super busy and I think they did the best they could, which wasn't bad at all. Overall it's just average. Not bad, not good. Would I go back? Maybe. The place looked pretty cool though, walls covered in classic Hollywood decor and my son was pumped about the jukebox.

Stephanie S.

Yelp
I'd give 4.5 stars. This is an old style diner. Has its own parking lot. Old diner decor with actors and singers on the walls and music and tv playing. Service is great and the food is really really good. My husband swears his best chicken fried steak around. There's a counter/bar area and seated tables. Can't wait to get back here when we're in the area again. Amazing breakfast spot!!

Lori M.

Yelp
I highly recommend the milkshakes! My friend & I brought our 7 kids here after a summer visit to celestial farms. We were hot & wanted some of the best milkshakes around. Johnny's doesn't disappoint! Of course they saw the chili cheese fries & the kids ate them all up too. Our waitress was super sweet & handled our munchkins with ease. We all had to take pictures with Elvis & love the all around vibe. I've been here for a car show in the past & I hope they have many more!

DC P.

Yelp
A delightful diner! I popped in for breakfast and ordered the "Breakfast at Tiffany's" French toast. That's completely different from my usual diet but I just felt like splurging and I'm very glad I did. It had fresh bananas and strawberries on top, and they were FRESH. The coffee was above average. The waitresses were delightful and the diner had a warm cozy 50's vibe. It was clean without feeling sterile. I will be back!

Chris C.

Yelp
Very disappointed as was one of my colleagues. We both ordered the corn beef hash and we are both very familiar with this breakfast dish. It came out with a strange Oder and a texture as if it had bread crumbs added . There was very little visible meat. Nice place and good service the young lady was very polite about it and discounted both of our breakfasts. Bad experience.

Charlotte P.

Yelp
Finally made it to the Jacksonville location! It did not disappoint. The second you step in you are time traveled to days that use to be! The posters, statues and photos could take you all day to view. We sat at the bar across from the kitchen. The sweet tea is tall and delicious. I ordered "The King" a delicious Reuben. The meat was tender, flavorful, sauerkraut had the perfect amount pucker, the cheese was smooth and the dressing was perfect. Grilled perfectly! I love crinkle fries and they were delicious. No pics I was starving. My server was fun, talkative and was continually busy. I am already planning my breakfast visit in the near future!

Michael B.

Yelp
One of the BEST breakfast in Jax!!!! Pancakes are awesome! Try it asap, near beach and St. John's bluff

Sheri J.

Yelp
We came for lunch and we weren't disappointed. The atmosphere brings you back to the good old days. They serve breakfast and lunch. 7am to 3pm. We were greeted with a smile a was seated immediately. The food came out fast it was delicious. We will definitely be back!!! This place was a hidden gem!!

Tara G.

Yelp
This was a cute little "last day of school" lunch spot we found. My girls loved the diner style. They love to get burgers and fries and milkshakes. The burgers were fresh, huge, and tasty. Fries were cooked perfectly. Service was great and it was fun watching one of my fave movies, Grease, while we were eating. Maybe next time we will remember the shakes or have room to try the yummy looking cakes

Katie P.

Yelp
This place is awesome! My husband and I just stopped by for milkshakes and sat at the bar counter! It was so much fun and nostalgic! I wish my grandma was here to see it because she would have just loved the theme and layout! Fun decor/music/details around the whole restaurant! Very friendly and quick service! Can't wait to come back and try their food one day!

Spy S.

Yelp
Little on the expensive side when it comes to breakfast spots in jax. Waitress was very nice (up to a certain point) but where she failed was all the hidden fees when it comes to anything that might have them do something different. Kinda put a sour taste to things. Then the bacon was old and burnt the rest of food was okay. The main kicker was when we asked to switch something out for our daughter, the waitress said let me go see and walked half way then turned around and said they said no. And this happened right in front of us, so again kinda made things odd and little disappointed and disrespectful.

MaryLou B.

Yelp
Shoutout to Kailey for making this venue even more memorable! This is like a worm hole taking you back in time! The cool memorabilia and music and movies playing on several TV's! Even merch to take some memories with you and rep your adventure! The hubby was craving a wonderful hamburger and this place delivered that for sure! I love the nostalgia and this reminds me of my favorite music and movies that I grew up on. I had fun trying to name all the people in the pictures and movies! The place is busy! All people are warmly welcomed ! It feels like the neighborhood dinner and the vibe of a family friendly place! The menu is easy to navigate and though we are here for lunch, I set up breakfast in my mind for the next visit! I ordered a strawberry milkshake to start. I enjoyed the creamy and thick mouthfeel! Good flavor and not overly sweet! I tried to meter it and save room for my entree. I ordered the King Sandwich... not only am I an Elvis fan, but I am a Reuben fan! This thing was huge! Flavorful and stuffed end to end. The onion rings were perfectly crispy and the crinkle fries were paired nicely with the cheese burger! I had to get a cup of coffee to make it complete! People were happy and the flow of patrons was a steady pace! There's even more seating on the side porch. I think it's enclosed, but I can't remember. There's a pastry rack right in front... tempting for sure, but my milkshake was the sweet treat for me today! Yay! Kailey was very kind, personable, professional, and attentive. We will have to revisit and get a good review of the breakfast offerings :)

Audrey A.

Yelp
Have been coming here for years. Definitely a place to get a good breakfast with excellent service for a great price. The diner is full of 50s nostalgia, a jukebox and regulars! Coffee and waters stayed full, food came out timely and we all enjoyed everything we ordered. Get the pancakes---they are sooooooo fluffy.

S S.

Yelp
It's my go-to place to bring out-of-towner's who want a local diner experience. Never had a bad meal there.. I hear the shakes are delicious - just wish they made some vegan or dairy free options for those who can't tolerate cow's milk. Other than that.. highly recommend!

Erin T.

Yelp
I love this place so much I could cry! It's beautiful inside and out. Incredible pictures on the walls that I can't wait to come back and explore. I ordered to go, and was seated at the bar and introduced to a regular lol. Superb hospitality. I had to rush back to work and didn't have time to take a pic of my food before I basically inhaled it. I got the Elvis special and OMG. I haven't enjoyed a good country breakfast like this since I was at my grandmas house. The gravy is homemade perfection, and the country fried steak was the best I've had. The biscuits.... I don't how they make them but that's officially the only biscuits I want in my life lol. I'm bringing as many people here as I can and it's officially my brunch spot!

David K.

Yelp
We were looking for the perfect American Diner to celebrate a new American citizen, and we found it. What a great find in the Jax area! There were 12 of us, and we had many of the menu items; the service was great, and the food came quick even with our large group size. The food was fantastic. Thank you Johnny Angel's for the great food and great service!

Kristine S.

Yelp
Hubby and I were in the mood for some good breakfast food and wanted to try a new place. We decided on Johnny Angels. We arrived around 11 a.m. and were seated within minutes of walking in. We just missed the rush! Our server came over and we ordered. We both went with the corned beef hash combo. He chose scrambled eggs, potatoes and a biscuit. I chose over-easy eggs, cheese grits and a biscuit. The corned beef hash was perfectly cooked and absolutely amazing! You could really taste the authentic corned beef flavor. The biscuit was very good and unique, kind of reminded me of cornbread. The cheese grits had really good flavor and consistency, phenomenal! The service was top notch! They topped off our coffee before we could even think to ask for a refill and came by with extra napkins. Very thoughtful employees! Overall, a wonderful experience at Johnny Angels. We will definitely be back!

Jodie D.

Yelp
The service was exceptional. The food was phenomenal. The atmosphere was fun. Definitely will be back.

Yelp
I did some Time Traveling today for lunch after voting. I brought my Kentucky built Quantum Leaper up to 88 mph on 295N and was thrust Somewhere In Time to the mid 1950's. Crossing the threshold into Johnny Angel's Diner the modern world disappeared behind the dark tinted glass. Not one inch of this place is even remotely contemporary. A complete gallery of Hollywood and music nostalgia. Titans of Tinseltown. Monsters of Rock and Pop. Heart throbs and sex symbols. Idols and Icons. The Rat Pack, The Three Stooges, The Magnificent Seven. The African Queen. Bogart, Dean, Monroe, Hepburn, Elvis, Eastwood. The Godfather, the Duke...007! The walls were alive with classic Americana. The perfect setting. The perfect diner. Welcomed immediately by a gentleman sitting at the counter next to Marty and George McFly I picked an open booth towards the back next to the vintage Jukebox. Amanda approached right away to offer a menu and drinks. "Coffee and water please and a basket of fries." Amanda couldn't have been more sweet. Great attitude, helpful and attentive. The menu was delightfully creative. Classic breakfast and lunch choices with witfully and fittingly paired names. I literally read through the menu three times trying to decide. Since I was headed to the gym I decided on Popeye's Omelette...Spinach bacon mushroom topped with Swiss . I chose Cheese Grits and Biscuits as my side and purchased additional Wheat Toast. As you can see the omelette was huge and covered most of the plate. I took one bite and was instantly impressed. Perfectly cooked eggs stuffed with healthy green spinach mushrooms and bacon. I sheared off a large end wedge and positioned it between my buttered wheat toast(my signature move) as a breakfast sandwich. The wheat toast was so good, thick cut and hearty. The Cheese Grits were easily twice the portion I got at Seafood Kitchen and had great flavor and texture. The biscuit was dense and buttery and rivals anything I've had across the Dinerverse. I regretted having to pause after only about halfway, but I didn't want to spend 4 hours in the gym working off this feast. I'll enjoy the rest tomorrow. I'm also eager to return with my mum in June to try the Country Fried Steak and Reuben. They also have classic Shakes, Malts and flavored/cream Sodas Just before finishing I was approached by Salem Ghanayem the owner. He's a habib like me but from Palestine . He was actually born in Baghdad which makes him especially badass. He couldn't have been more gracious and we had a wonderful quick chat. I can't wait to bring mom so they can speak Arabic since I'm a gringo. My apologies to Salem as this was my first visit despite stringing my racquetball racket next door at Go Pro Tennis for the last 10 years. Double Fault But I promise to return often and bring others. Shukran Azizi P.S...There have been many grumblings here about breakfast spots and commercial/corporatization and declining quality etc. There has also been a deluge of complaints about fun joints like The Yard and The Sugar Factory. One visit to Johnny Angel's Diner will satisfy any shortcomings you may have previously experienced and at a fair and reasonable price and in the most fun and memorable setting. https://www.google.com/search?q=johnny+angel%27s+diner+menu&ie=UTF-8&oe=UTF-8&hl=en-us&client=safari&si=AMnBZoFOX-MmlLUKKaXt5ZjDFk3TLPiHfu7tTWlVXA-Alw3uhf9sQDo4sqMgKKFbcPtzdWlE5ltgowdPV3WQef96OOZDTegVCMZD07sZ1PqcqtXe70CigmJNmPXsZSukcTmbRs9TlXdJBexGbkz81ZR-zXpUbaDB4Q%3D%3D&ictx=1&ved=2ahUKEwjEi6HLz_r-AhXbnGoFHWQlDYAQyNoBKAF6BAgTEAg#fid=0x88e5b6a38a440a07:0x38c9604d83c2c9b6&fpstate=lum -- eating lunch at Johnny Angel's Diner Jacksonville.

Yelp
Love this place. Can't wait to come back. Family owned and operated. Great service. Fantastic food. The retro look and great music added to the ambiance. Don't miss out.

David S.

Yelp
It's a bit pricey, but what isn't these days. They give you plenty of large portions. I'm always stuffed after finishing.

Shannon L.

Yelp
Fun atmosphere and friendly staff. Food was tasty. I had the Popeye omelette. I'd come back if over this way.

Jae G.

Yelp
Food was Amazing. Service was also great. I ate my food so fast and it was good. It wasn't packed when got there so we got sat down really fast .

John B.

Yelp
Amazing brunch spot! Staff were super friendly and quick! I'd recommend to anyone wanting great breakfast or lunch!

Laura P.

Yelp
Ample portions cute ambiance with all the decor. Moving quick but tasty decent diner food. Did have a mimosa but not super tasty or cold. Food was good grits and chicken fried steak. Didn't care for gravy not homemade but all in all I'd go back to

Carolyn H.

Yelp
It was our first time visiting and the guys truly enjoyed their breakfast. The place was very nice and friendly. We were able to sit our party of 6 people very fast. Every one was nice and polite.

Kelli C.

Yelp
This place is so cute and quirky. I love the decorations and the attention to detail. You can definitely tell someone put a lot of effort into putting this place together. The food was delicious (I especially loved the fresh baked biscuits and the thick cut bacon) and very reasonably priced. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. I will definitely be coming back!

Colette M.

Yelp
This was my 3rd visit. We had breakfast and lunch. The staff there has always been nice. The restaurant is clean. Our most recent visit was different from the previous two. I watched my husband's burger sit in the window for 10-12 minutes and my food was no where in sight. I could hear them discussing that they were on 8 and the chefs were on something else. So when our waitress came by I told her that I've been watching the burger in the window for 10 minutes and she replied "we don't leave anything in the window for 10 minutes" and walked away to check it. She whispered to the guy at the window, he told the cooks who moved it from the window. 5 minutes later it popped back up with my food. It was disappointing as we were sat right in front of the window and I'm not a blind woman. When my husband got his burger, while it did taste decent, the bottom bun was soggy, probably from sitting so long, he was a good sport and ate it, but it was overcooked for sure. We may go back eventually, but it might just be for breakfast.

Ruben L.

Yelp
Been here a couple of times before. I. My Wife, and step Daughters decided to go here for breakfast this morning. My step Daughters decided to have a burger. My Wife decided to have a chicken sandwich. I decided to have the Fats Domino Omelet. I decided to have it with grits and a biscuit. The omelet had chese, bacon, cubed potatoes in it. The omelet was very good. The grits were very warm but a little clumpy and a little dry. I couldn't finish all of the grits, even though I really like grits. The biscuit was very good amd toasted. We will return here again. Our serverwas very courteous as well.

Hunter E.

Yelp
Found mold on our bread then they gave us 3$ off. Very disappointing. Did not make a big deal of it because it was not the waitress fault. But very disappointing management. Management did not even come to speak to us about it. Won't be going back.

Miriam C.

Yelp
The atmosphere is fun and different. Everyone was working very hard and very friendly. The fries were fantastic! Only reason I'm deducting a star is the chicken salad didn't have much flavor. Just chicken and Mayo. Def needed some seasoning and just missing something taste wise. I would come back and try something else! Definitely worth trying out!

Anna B.

Yelp
Johnny Angel's is a hidden gem of a 50s diner. I've been here twice and both times left very satisfied! This last time we went on a Saturday at 11:45 and had about a 20 minute wait, not bad. Both the service and food is great! The burgers are my favorite thing to order. The patty is always cooked how I asked, the cheese has a great taste and is melted- not just a slice of Kraft thrown on, and the bun is delicious! Definitely a cute place for a brunch date.

Bethany S.

Yelp
Absolutely LOVE this place! It's got a retro/Elvis vibe to it. The staff always goes above and beyond eith amazing service and the food?? The best around!

Jennifer P.

Yelp
Excellent selection, Interesting/funny names for items, Good presentation, Delicious food. They lost 1 star because the air conditioning vent was directly above our table. The air flow was strong and it was very cold at our table. (Even the two people who seem to never be cold said it was too cold.)

Mariana B.

Yelp
The restaurant is really nice. The decor is in everywhere, including the restroom. All the time more people getting in, it is very popular. They have a lot of options to eat. The potatoes are delicious. The hollandaise sauce is very good also. Omelette is ok. The staff were friendly. Took a little bit to have more coffee and the check.

Norma A.

Yelp
Phenomenal Food & Service! Johnny's Angel Diner is a hidden gem! We are always on a search for homemade corned beef hash. Johnny's Angel Diner has the BEST homemade corned beef hash! The food came out hot, even the French Toast was hot! Everything was cooked fresh. If you want great food this is the place to go. If you are traveling through Jacksonville and you're hungry, you should make this a stop! The ambience is nostalgic 50's diner with phenomenal food and service.

Aurora B.

Yelp
My husband and I stopped by for a late brunch and really enjoyed this place. Decorations super cute and service was awesome. We loved looking around at all the 50's and 60's throwback photos and enjoyed the old tunes! We were seated quickly and service was nice. The owner was there and chatted with us and made sure every plate was good to go out. The door was yummy diner food. Will definitely go back!

JaneAnne F.

Yelp
What a great find! I love a diner and this one is awesome. The decor is nostalgic with pictures of Elvis, Lucille Ball to just name a few. We were there for breakfast and were treated quickly and seated right away. I ordered corn beef hash with 2 over easy eggs. I could tell right away it was homemade corn beef hash and probably some of the best I've ever eaten. My husband ordered an omelet and said it was delicious. We left extremely full and happy to have found such a gem. Our waitress told us to come back for lunch because Johnny Angel's has the best Ruben and chicken salad!

Penny T.

Yelp
Awesome food, awesome staff, awesome atmosphere. My daughter said no other breakfast will ever compare to the cinnamon French toast she had here.

Samuel C.

Yelp
This place is great, I would absolutely recommend it for breakfast. My server was great, very quick on the drink refill. I personally had a Mae west (french toast) with strawberries, bananas and whip cream. My friend had a Breakfast at Tiffany's, which was french toast dipped in captain crunch. The atmosphere is a 50s style diner, I am a fan and I'll definitely will come back again.

Alanna R.

Yelp
Soooo tasty. Great cheese fries. Crispy with sharp cheddar like cheese. Awesome diner vibes. Colorful with that vintage good time energy. Split a shake or have breakfast at one of my fave new places I've tried.

Susan M.

Yelp
Excellent place for breakfast was daughter's recommendation . Was great music and older type of rock music

Laur R.

Yelp
Be sure everyone at your table watched Pulp fiction before you visit. If you dont you'll be left quoting the $5 milkshake scene by yourself like I was. The milkshake options were the highlight for me. The food was forgettable.

Sunday morning brunch served and no drinks needed. Following the social media pages, I had this place saved in the bookmarks. It is a hommage to the 50s and from the style of the diner to the pictures of Elvis, Miles Davis , and Ray Charles don't let you forget it. It is a more of an intimate space so bigger parties beware. Our server Alexis was really nice and hospitality. My boyfriend and I split an Baton Rouge Omelette that came with your choice of home fries or grits (home fries always) and either toast or a biscuit. && we each had our own Belgian waffles. When I tell you guys those are some of crispiest home fries I have ever had! 10/10! The food came out quickly! Definitely want to come back and try the sandwiches next time.

Yelp
I walked through the door and was transported back in time! Great 50's diner decor from top to bottom, complete with neon lighting! We made in on Sunday before the rush- and it filled up fast! The next group through the door had ten, then a group of 6 and another of 6 and one of 4! Whoa~ we hit a popular spot. Our server was fantastic and made sure to point out the customer favorites and his personal favorite! I went with his fav and ordered the Dixieland Skillet- which was a split biscuit with homefries, scrambled eggs & sausage (huge chunks too) gravy! I almost asked for the homefries on the side- and I ended up fishing them out from under the eggs- personal preference. But this dish was HUGE and superb! I couldn't begin to finish it! The homefries are seasoned perfectly and crisp on the outside and soft potato on the inside (as it should be). Hubby opted for his breakfast go to- a corned beef hash breakfast, the Johnny Angel's dish. Again- huge platter, bigger plate than mine, but mine was piled high. He let me sample his corned beef hash and they do a little somethin-somethin to it- because it had a delicious- but different added taste! His plate came with scrambled eggs and home fries and he added an additional side of grits and good gracious! It was a big ole bowl of grits with a big pat of butter thrown in the middle! He was so happy! He ate everything- the nit wit- and wanted to nap immediately after. Which was a no go since we had plans! He ended up waddling it off- but geesh- I think next time we will order one of the big plates and I will order a side! Service was fast and amazing and the food will bring us back for more! Side note- google maps got confused and looped us around the shopping center on the corner of Beach and St Johns- don't give up, it eventually gets you there!

Yelp
It was our first time, and we will definitely be back again. The food is amazing and the service is good. They're always checking for a refill on the coffee and always checking back if we need anything at our table.
