Johnny Pies NY Pizzeria

I came to the Coconut Creek Plaza to have a quick lunch at Johnny Pies. It was a nice, casual pizzeria offering a variety of NY pies, heros, soups & salads, starters, pasta dinners, and much more. I greeted a pleasant male employee behind the counter and asked for a cheese slice. Toppings added is extra. I also grabbed a can of sprite out of the glass door display refrigerator. Within minutes of sitting at an available table, my cheese slice was brought to me. This was a delicious slice; crispy thin crust, a nice layer of sauce and cheese, and don't get me started on that cheese pull...the true staple of a NY pie...wish I had a video taken of it. I definitely had a satisfying lunch at Johnny Pies. I look forward on returning to try other dishes soon.

Johnny Pies is hands down our favorite local pizza place. We always order from there and the customer service is always great. Today I needed a quick dinner and was craving chicken cutlets and figured they may make them for me even if they aren’t on the menu and I was right. I didn’t even wait 10 minutes before they had fresh crispy chicken cutlets ready for me. And I will always marvel at how nice everyone there is— something that sadly isn’t as common nowadays. Love love Johnny Pies!

This is definitely our local pizza spot. We love this place because their pizza and food are great. Nice serving sizes for Italian entrees, and prices are reasonable. Fresh ingredients. Real garlic, not that minced crap. Good guys here doing a good job No body does everything perfect, but if they screw up, they want to know what they can do to make it right. I feel like I'm back in New York when I come here. If it smells like New York pizza and it looks like New York pizza, then it must be Johnny pies New York pizza! Mangia💚🤍♥️

I’ve always had a good experience. The customer service is good, nice and professional people. The restaurant is always clean. They’ve never take long to my order ready. Plus their pizza is so good, tasty, full of flavor. Large slices, good lunch specials. Always a pleasure

The pizza here is well established as one of the best around. I'm here though to tell you that the subs are also amazing. The drunken Johnny hero ( cutlets vodka sauce mozzarella and prosciutto) is a perfectly constructed sub. Huge! But I also tried the cheesesteak for the first time and I think it's my new favorite cheesesteak place ever! Great bread, lots of meat and the cheese melted in - not just laid on top. It's a gem! Keep ordering pizza , but when you're in a sub mood- put this place at the top.

What can I tell you? Simply Delicious, we ordered the mini pie extra sauce out of this world, and I am a chicken wing freak, and they were delicious all flats extra sauce mild wow! Customer service is on point as soon as you walk in. They greet you, which is the proper thing to do when someone walks into your establishment! Made a couple of personal preferences and they did not mind at all!

THE BEST! I've lived in Margate 35 years and tried ALL the pizza places nearby. This is the first time I tried Johnny Pies and this is THE BEST PIZZA, WINGS, KNOTS I've ever had. I placed the order online on a Wednesday at 3:03pm. Order delivered at 3:36pm. Everything was so hot I couldn't touch it. Salad was fresh too. Definitely my go-to for pizza now. Thanks!

Been here twice now with the same friend, and we both really enjoyed the food. We've tried pepperoni, Grandma, upside-down, and meatball parm slices, all of which were wonderful and could easily have come from a good NYC pizzeria. Service is prompt and friendly. We'll be back.

I dont give five stars often, and I go to some of the finest steakhouses in the US with my work travels. The drunken johnny is so dam good, SO DAM GOOD! I have had slices there before and all were great, but the reason for the five stars is the Grandmas pie. It's thin, crispy fresh and tasty. It's the perfect pizza. There's not much you can say about a pizza place, other than if you dont grab a slice of the Grandmas, you're a fool, it really is the best.

I don't normally write reviews but I'm honestly frustrated. I ordered a 16" pepperoni and the cashier got my order wrong multiple times, she had me repeating myself just to get a SIMPLE PEPPERONI PIZZA wrong. This place needs to be shut down, they are very unprofessional and unsanitary! The cashiers there don't know what they are doing and they need better training. They think it's okay to say certain things in front of customers, they have no desire in making sure your food is made right what so ever.. it's not okay. They touch the food with their bare hands, no gloves or anything. The establishment all around needs work. Unsatisfied with my food and service.

Amazing pizza. It's thin and well done but not burnt. There's a great balance of salt from cheese and acidity from the sauce. Best pizza in Broward County imo. The ladies up front were very nice. The building looks like an old fashioned slice shop. I love it.

Ordered takeout and the pizza is quintessential New York. Perfect cheese pie and the white pizza is good, too. The fried ravioli were overbreaded, but ok. We would order pizza from them again.

Had a chance to try their thinly sliced NY pepperoni pizza and I have to just say it's ok. It was recommended by one of my colleagues and we also had it served fresh. If you don't finish it on the fly,or later on it's no good... At least if you microwave it (when no air fry is available). The overall pie was just greasy and the cheese kept falling off. It was a really hard eat. The Stromboli however had some redeeming qualities. It was a baked turnover with cheese and proteins inside. It tasted like a gourmet hot pocket. The cheese definitely won't fall out of that! They also have lunch specials from 11-4p. But just on cheese pizzas and other half entrees. But not a shabby price. Although the pizza was disappointing, I can still see myself coming back because I go in this plaza often.

Super awesome staff. Really good pizza. Perfect for fight night or a Sunday of football. Offer a vodka sauce and rice balls which are both very good. Biggest downfall is size. Only a handful of tables and chairs for a sit down/eat in experience. Highly recommend to stop by hear as often as possible and see if we can get these guys a larger more accommodating location for more seating options.

We love Johnny Pies! So much better than the usual pizza chain food that everyone is used to. Absolutely delicious pizza every single time! The only thing we would personally change would be the breading on the boneless wings. Just a personal preference though!

What a delicious choice! While back in my hometown of South Florida, I planned a cookie decorating and pizza party for my little nieces and nephews because I'm the coolest aunt, ever. And when I hopped on Yelp to find an awesome pizza place near my sister's place, along came Johnny Pies Pizzeria! I absolutely love pizza (check my reviews!) and for some reason, really wanted to impress these 8 and under kids to let them know that there is more to pizza than these national brands, lol. So we were absolutely eating local if Cousin/Titi Erica was ordering! Despite being a friendly, talkative person for the most part, I absolutely do not love talking on the phone. Least favorite thing, no clue why. And that comes to ordering food! I can usually make it quick because I go in knowing what I want, but I'm always so grateful when I can order digitally and lucky me, Johnny Pies offered that option! So I was able to order our pizzas in advance and walk away from my computer - nice. Because there were 4 kids and 5 hungry adults, I opted for one of their specials: 1 large cheese pizza, large salad, 6 garlic knots and a 2-liter for $31, and added on another large cheese/half pepperoni. All of this came up to under $60 bucks or so. When I arrived at the busy plaza that Johnny Pies is located in, I was a few minutes early and concerned that I'd be waiting just a bit. Not at all! I was greeted by the friendliest faces and the most delicious scent of pizza and garlic in the air - heavenly. The gentlemen behind the counter let me know that my order was ready and pulled it out of the oven as soon as I stepped up to say hello. Such fantastic customer service! That ride to my sisters house was brutal smelling those delicious pies and garlic knots!! I was so tempted to pull over and eat some lol. When I finally did arrive at my sisters' place and we were ready to dig in, there was total silence as everyone dug into their pizza! And those garlic knots? HEAVENLY! They were crunchy in the right areas, soft on the inside and covered in butter and garlic. The salad was also delicious and I really needed to make sure that those children had some greens on their plate before I stuffed them with pounds of sugar and sent them on their merry way with their parents lol. Absolutely going to be my go-to pizza spot when I'm home, they really blew our mind with each bite!

Sooo let me start by saying my response is overdue and I have pictures this time. This place is a hidden gem and thanks to my husband for finding this place. The pizza is literally delicious and fresh and that's coming from a person that does not like pizza like that. It's so freaking cheesy and light as well. The salad and the dressing is top notch, however I just would like them to cut them a little smaller to better spread in my opinion. The rolls are so light, fluffy and good which is why this is my third time buying. The pictures are an understatement just go by there and try it.

This has been our go to pizza place since they opened in the Coconut Creek Plaza. It is a friendly neighborhood NY pizza place. There is always sufficient staffing and our orders are always ready when expected. They are closed on Mondays (1/2/2023 update, they are now open on Mondays ) and open 11-9 Tuesday-Thursday and 11-10 on Friday & Saturday. They do take out and delivery they also have a few tables for dine in. The interior of the restaurant is very bright and welcoming. The scent of garlic welcomes you as you enter. The staff is friendly and remains busy fulfilling all orders. Our most recent order included a large, half pepperoni, half cheese, pizza, a potato pizza, spicy BBQ, wings, garlic rolls, and mini cupcakes for dessert. I did not pay but along with three sodas, the bill was approximately $70. In the past, we have also enjoyed their lunch specials, as well as pasta dinners. The pasta dinners Are large enough to feed my family. I recommend a stop in to Johnny pies

Good pizza for sure! Reminded me of the pizza I had in New York when I was a kid. I recommend this place for good pizza.

This spot was amazing! Authentic cheese pizza. They were super friendly and helpful when we placed our pick up order ! Highly recommend. 1/1/2023 edit We got pizza on New Year's Eve from this place and they were ROCKING AND ROLLING getting those pizzas OUT! They're AMAZING even under pressure. HIGHLY recommend and happy new years guys ! Thanks for your hard work

I tried the place because of the reviews and I have to admit I was disappointed. First the place isn't very clean, dirty. The staff doesn't understand customer service The 2 girls at the register could care less the pizza maker had to make sure my order was correct. I will say very good garlic knots, but the pizza is horrible, sweat sauce, minimal cheese, not a 16" pie and the dough has no chew. Do not waste your time or money going there. Hopefully true reviews will reflect this location.

Good tasting pizza. Garlic rolls are very tasty and not too oily. Tiramisu is delicious as well. Dining room is pretty small it's more of a take out place.

One of the BEST NY slices you can get in the area. Perfectly thin and delicious crust! This one is worth going out of your way for, don't pass it up!

I stopped by for a few pies to feed a party. First of all, the staff is teriffic, very cordial and accommodating. Ordered a Veggie, Grandma, and Johnny Pro The Works. The pies were unanimously delicious. Very nice crust, tasty sauces, and generously populated with veggies on the Veggie Pie, and Everything on the Pro. I asked that the olives be omitted, so they added some additional mushrooms & onion. Will definitely come back to try other menu items. Everything being prepared and served while I was there looked delicious. Excellent NY Style Pizza. And they are opening a Boca Raton location soon.

Johnny pies is hit or miss. Nothing too spectacular. From my experience, I enjoy it more eating in than taking out. Took out a Grandma's pie and it was way way over cooked. Had Grandma's slices in the restaurant and they are always good. Took out penne with garlic & oil and it was swimming in oil. I do love their sausage, pepper & onions pizza pops. My opinion is they are great for pizza pops & pizza when you dine in.

The pizza and sandwiches are among the best around. We had them cater a buffet party for 35 people. Everyone loved the pizza and their suggestion to double cut the slices worked out so well. The food arrived on time and hot. It was a pleasure working with them and look forward to having them deliver again.

Multiple visits, never disappointed. They operate like a well oiled machine and the food is exceptionally good for around here. A bit pricey but restaurants all seem to have lost their minds since Covid.

Fellow Yelp Foodies to the rescue once again. Was looking for a pizza spot in the area and based on the reviews of my fellow Northeast transplants found Johnny's and it did not disappoint. Located in a shopping plaza with sufficient parking. Bright, clean spot with friendly, helpful service. The pizza...a solid New York style pizza with a great crust & fresh toppings! The crust is super important to me and any to any transplant from the Northeast. They have other style pizzas (Sicilian, etc.) too, which I intend to try soon. My new go-to spot for a great New York style pie.

I have been here one time before and I ordered two different things. The first time I got 2 slices of pizza. I always take my pieces home and reheat them to my desired liking. They were good. Pizza is pizza. But a pizza whose crust doesnt sag when you pick it up is a good pie. Today I got a few slices of the grandma pie which has basil and mozzarella on it. The sauce was a little tart but I guess thats better than a sweet sauce. There are a few tables inside the shop and they have desserts on the counter as well as an array of pies with all different toppings upon them! I was in and out in less than 5 minutes pie in box! Home I went to reheat it. As usual the crust was sturdy and didnt sag. There was no extra grease dripping from my pieces. This is a good pizza pie! If you are in the coconut creek area and find yourself near Johnnys pies go in and get a slice and thank me later.

Authentic and absolutely incredible NY style pizza pies. Others may claim the same, but these guys are the real deal. Staff is awesome as well. Don't pass on this one.

Made a quick stop for a few slices of pie (aka pizza ). My husband who is from NYC said it was a legit Brooklyn style pizza spot. The individual slices are large and heated up per order. My son and husband scarfed it up quick. We did not eat inside, so I cannot talk about the ambience but the service was quick and very friendly!

Vodka pie is DELICIOUS! Highly recommend this pizza in particular. Service is always good and they sell pizzas by the slice.

Delicious NY style pizza. Came here because of the great Yelp reviews, and, fortunately, they were spot on. The vodka style pizza is unique --great sauce and excellent cheese. The server was very friendly and attentive. We hope they open a location more east. We will come again.

It was disappointing. Been a long time since i had a pizza to rave about. The pizza arrived cold and soggy, drive went to the wrong address, happens way to often with us. Drives was very apologetic, we waved it off but could not see is ordering again, to cosy for something that was not very good, granted if it was hot, it may have generated a more positive review.

Best Pizza around Coconut Creek-Pompano . Nice guys, but it is really always busy. Take your time going to pick up. Also is usually an hour for me, but it's worth the time.

Everything great have white pizza and gluten free. Very cordial and customer service very accommodating. Have eaten in and had delivery service very good and punctuatal. Highly recommend

The pizza at Johnny Pies is insanely good. From their use of Grande Cheese, to the light dough and the sauce that has an amazing balance of sweet and savory. The Heros are great. Chicken Parm especially. Love it.

Absolutely amazing pizza and service. The slices and the pies are HUGE!!! We have so much left over for tomorrow lol. The flavors and quality is DELICIOUS. The store is small but ambience is cute. Congratulations to the owner and team. Excellent job. This will be our pizza spot from now on.

This is a great pizza! Boston e area, had it delivered to our hotel so weren't sure what we were getting but it was awesome! Great thin crust on the NY style pie we ordered, sauce and topping taste very fresh.

We ordered from Johnny's to try a different pizza place in the area. We used the Slice app to order a 20" cheese pizza and 6 garlic knots. We were quoted 35-50 minutes for our delivery to arrive. The order arrived within the quoted time! Score! The delivery guy was friendly, personable, and handled the food with care. The pizza was very good! It was piping hot, and had the right amount of sauce and cheese. The garlic rolls were good and flavorful, but could have used more oil, as they were a bit on the dry side. Overall, this is a good pizza shop! The prices are fair, it's easy to order online, the delivery guy was nice, and the food was good. I'll definitely order from this place again!

Really good pizza for a small hole in the wall place, worked in this area for years and never crossed the threshold. Staff very friendly and helpful. I got the white and the pepperoni slice with garlic knots for lunch, that's a lot of pizza!!! Nowhere remotely close to finishing I took the rest to my office, no lie we do not have vampire issues any longer, I think that is attributed to the garlic knots! I'll hit it up again doing only 1 slice

You may not find Johnny here but you will find Dennis the owner and a great staff turning out delicious food. Pictured is a non menu item they cooked up for me since im on a diet. Its a modified peppers and egg sub without the bread and added sausage, onions, and cheese. They are very accommodating and reasonable when ordering off menu. Food and service is always a 10. Thanks guys!!!

I am constany on the hunt for a new york style pizza in South florida. After driving 30 minutes to try this place I think I found it. The vibe inside was all NY and I loved every second. I tried a large Margherita pie, wings, fried ravioli and garlic knots. Everything was delicious but the pizza was the best. It was the right amount of everything I wanted. The staff was friendly, wearing masks and keeping the dough kneaded. I highly suggest giving this place a try.

HORRIBLE! HORRIBLE! Absolutely disgusting, The food was completely nasty, I don't know what they did differently but gross. And the customer and ambiance were just very unwelcoming today. The cashier was horrible had a very bad attitude just disgraceful honestly! Would give them an 0 in stars if I could.

Great pizza this is I will go to takeout pizza place go pick it up because they're busy. It will still be good even if you have to reheat it.
