Found this retro diner burger place on the edge of a mall, I was in a hurry and had a hungry situation so gave it a try, waiters are polite but I had to wait a for my order to be taken quiet a bit, order arrived fast, and the food is decent, their streamline burger looked more like a chicken burger than a hamburger so goes with soya color, not a place I would return for food but waiters treat you nice thats a plus. The place is very loud though the music outside loud and inside too.

Perfect break while shopping in Dolphin Mall. Beer was super cold and served with a cooled glass. I really liked the burgers as well. I’d recommend.

I picked up a burger for my daughter and she really loved it. So I would definitely recommend this place when you are in the mall. The staff was very friendly too.

Yes, is like moving back to the 50s so I love the experience. Our waitress was very professional. My burger and wings were good enough but if they improve the ingredients with a better buns and fresh house made deeps like blue cheese, smoke Buffalo etc maybe they justify a new visit. I recomend this restaurant for families is more kids friendly than others around.

People are out of their minds giving this place more than 1 star . We spent 50 dollars for 2 burgers, 1 regular fry and 1 small drink . There was absolutely no flavor or seasoning...and dont forget the added 15 percent gratuity ....for my convenience .

Stopped by for supper with friends before a cruise from Miami. At the edge of a mall, we dropped in as we did some last minute shopping. This place is loud, which isn't a bad thing, but it's definitely kinetic with everything going on around it. Wait staff was pretty good, and little busy and preoccupied, but that is understandable. The burgers were good. They meat was tasty and the burgers were loaded with toppings and a nice size. Not too big but definitely large enough to satisfy our appetite. There was a good amount of fries and we left full and content.

I haven't been to a Johnny Rockets in over a decade, but my coworkers wanted to come here for our team celebration. This is located at Dolphin Mall, on the side where the restaurants and social area are. Came here for lunch, seat yourself anywhere, so we grabbed a booth for all of us. I kind of knew what I already wanted as I looked at the menu ahead of time, so I got the single patty "Route 66" with some Onion Rings. It was actually pretty darn good burger, freshly cooked up, enjoyed the caramelized onions & mushrooms. Onion rings were nice & crisp, very happy with my lunch order. Coworkers all enjoyed their burgers and sides very much too, no complaints from any of us. Food was good, service was nice & attentive, on the spot with any refills and checking in on us. I didn't pay because it was a team lunch, you know how that goes. Pleasantly surprised with the visit and YES, we did ask for the paper hat!

Johnny Rockets was a solid spot. The food was really good .The bacon cheddar burger and fries hit the spot, and the milkshake was on point. The retro vibe is cool too. Some of the service could've been a little better, felt like a few team members weren't really on it, but the manager did a good job stepping in and making sure things ran smoothly. Overall, still a good experience and I'd go back

We stopped by for a quick and tasty lunch, and we were not disappointed. We were greeted with a smile and were promptly led to a comfortable table on the outdoor patio. I had the classic burger which came out quickly, piping hot, delicious. The staff is super friendly and we felt we were important customers the entire time. Loved the lively music and the atmosphere. Can't wait to be back.

If you need the American dream come here. But always expect as is. Johnny rockets was a nice dinner the environment was extremely noisy and music was so loud also the grill was right next to the seats so you were close to the fried food. The service was very fast immediate and food came out right away we order two burgers but they were both extremely greasy. But everything in America is very greasy so if you want the classic dinner experience come here but the food was very greasy

The food was delicious we had a lost in translation moment because I am Not fluent in Spanish and the waitress didn't speak English. All was well and we got it figured out. Great place to eat while shopping at the mall. This experience makes me wanna try other JR in my city!

They automatically added the tip and it was only four of us. The food was OK nothing spectacular $52 for one cheeseburger, chicken burger, and Philly cheesesteak and some fries with cheese. I'm not impressed especially with the automatic tip that they add to the bill that should be outlawed And it's not very nice since the waitress accepted cash before we knew that the tip was automatically added to the bill because she didn't bring the bill to the table she only brought the payment to the table

Food tasted microwaved, absolutely no flavor on anything, milkshake was mediocre at best, ordered bacon cheese fries and a smokehouse double both tasted like what nothing tastes like, never had a worst experience in my entire life. Couldn't stomach to finish it.

Love this location ! Every birthday I come and enjoy a special lunch here. Fries soda and a burger . This time i had a bacon cheeseburger and fries with a soda.fries were hot and good and love they pour ketchup for you. The burger was perfect with melted cheese and sone yummy grease and perfect bun i mean it is the best! Love the fifties decor the uniforms and the open grill. Also the staff is awesome love their attentions very nice. Johnny Rocks!

Food - perfect Service - just right *** Just one detail gratuity is automatically added at a 15% your option to add more if you wish. Always an easy going laid back place fries, shakes and a new twist sourdough sandwiches on the menu. Enjoy you all! Cheers!

Really great burgers. We went around 2pm and it wasn't too busy. They did seem understaffed and stressed out but handled it well. They had great gluten free buns. The music was pretty loud and hard to hear conversations but I'm not sure if that's the restaurant or the mall itself. Overall would go again for a great inexpensive burger

I love it, it's super cute and vintage. They serve the best chili cheese fries ever. They also draw happy faces on the ketchup for the little kids and I think they give out hats too.

Recently added plant based options like impossible burger & vegan shakes. Their original streamliner veggie burger is still on the menu. Love the 80's diner theme. Great food and friendly service.

HORRIBLE! I got sick. I ordered an original hamburger and french fries plus a Coke. The place wasn't busy, so it was perfect. I sat at the counter since I was by myself. My food was out in less than 2 minutes...thats right 2 minutes. How do they cook a hamburger in less than 2 minutes? It should have been cooked for about 10 minutes or so. Well, it means that burger that was just sitting around the grill. They advertise it as "fresh, never frozen...grilled to perfection..." BTW it wasn't rare or medium rare. It was "fully cooked" but how it is served in less than 2 minutes? I ate half the burger and well I got sick. I'm never coming back here again.

This Johnny Rockets really needs help! It could be the pandemic or that people don't want to work (I'm not sure!) . When we first arrived there was no host and a waitress told us to take a seat whenever we wanted. Not even five minutes have passed and the person came to take our order. We ordered two cheeseburgers with fries and onion rings. The fries and drinks came super quick. Thats when it happened! I got attacked by not one but two birds! We moved inside and continued to wait for our cheeseburgers. Once we got them they were sooo greasy. I don't know if I'll return to be honest.

Don't recommend this place if your a tourist, terrible service the waitress automatically add a tip on your check without telling you . The food is ok . The waitress got angry cause she messed up the order and had to fix it . Ambience is loud and hot . No ventilation or proper fans when sitting outside cause the indoor is full. Of small tables. Loud terrible music playing outside. Flies everywhere and bad attitude by the staff totally ruined our experience. Will never go back ! Was torture. Waaaay over priced for food . $12.00 for a hamburger that wasn't even that good . Save yourself the trouble go the the food court in the mall eat at Burger King . At least they won't try to rip u off . So scandalous!!! Never again...

Super disappointed in that the dancing waiters is no longer done here. I asked the general manager why, and his response was, wait for it, because of Covid. I'm calling bullshit on that. Cove it has nothing to do with the waiter walking around taking orders and delivering food and then stopping to dance. This is one of the great attractions to this franchise. To make matters worse or waiter who barely spoke English cannot get our order straight. That's very frustrating. He got everyone's hamburger and drink order mixed up. Nothing was right. Do you have to keep in mind of his restaurant franchise is based on a 1950s theme hamburger joint. The Cubans have done a hell of a job with it. Won't be going back to this location. Ever..

Last night we decided to come back to Johnny Rockets 17 years later (I used to work here). The food was great, I totally forgot how good their food is. We had bacon cheesefries, chicken salad, smokehouse, route 66 and kids meals with oreo shakes. We all were happy. Staff was very nice and helpful. One thing I know is they use top ingredients for everything. can't wait to come back.

I decided to grab a bite to eat here before going to see a movie. I've been to the one on the beach so thought this one would be no different. It was a little dead so if you're looking for something more lively, this ain't the place for you just saying. I ordered a bacon cheddar burger with a side of fries and a lemonade. I have to say, the burger was juicy, but the bacon wasn't that great. When it came to the fries, they weren't hot, nor that tasteful. I guess they only covered half the fries in seasoning? lol either way our host was attentive. Ima say this a one stop shop, I don't see myself coming back here unless I find myself in the same situation time wise. I felt like the food could've been made better in my opinion. I'll always say, the best places are not big names and or franchises, it's always the family owned businesses that go above and beyond, from taste to service.

I took my son and his 2 friends to eat there yesterday for my son's birthday. The food was awful from the bacon cheese fries to the burgers we all ordered. My burger was salty of all things and well done to the point that parts were burnt. Also the waitress couldn't handle even the slightest change to the order like no lettuce or pickles. She would have us switch to another burger, which made no sense as all of the burgers have that option. Shortly after I got home, I was violently vomiting the entire night. Needless to say it was one of the worst burger experiences I've ever had. I will definitely not be returning.

Idk what are was her name but that bixch needed attitude Idk what was her problem but We just asked two or three questions and she answered us with nasty face I think because they already put there tips on bills So she thinks that she doesn't has to be nice Even my friend's were more nice to her When we were leaving there she was looking at us and started laughed at us instead of say good bye I think it has to be changed

Johnny Rockets at Dolphin Mall in Miami is a cool Johnny Rockets that is well managed and offers delicious burgers, fries, and shakes. I like that you can eat indoors or outdoors and that there is plenty of room available in the space. The staff here is attentive and works hard to make sure that you have a good meal. I enjoy coming in here for a fun meal experience.

I came here with my friends. We all obviously pay separately and the waiter comes up to us, doesn't even introduce himself and tells us that we can only have one check and split it only in one half, he then stormed off without us asking a question or ordering our drinks. That was the first red flag here. While looking at the menu, there isn't much options, so it was hard to choose. When the waiter came back he was trying to get our orders, but we didn't know what we wanted yet. I told him, "Can we all just have water for now while we look over the menu." He rolled his eyes and left. I had a discussion with my friends and we decided to leave, we didn't want to give a tip to this rude waiter. I felt bad leaving without telling him because we were 7 people and that means 7 glasses of water. But he was really rude and I was not for having a bad lunch. Hope someone complains about him. This was around 3pm on Sunday 1/22/23 Will not be coming again with my friends or anyone. This would be a 0 star review if I had that option.

Came to JR after an advance screening of Playing With Fire. Me and my sister ordered loaded fries, onion rings with a strawberry and cookies and cream shake to start off. They add a fun playful design on top of your shake which I definitely appreciated. We then ordered a burger each. The food was enjoyable and the total was less than $50 for everything. Our server Daniella was very attentive and charming!

Horrible service. We waited a long time for our food in an empty restaurant and the server still managed to get the order wrong and not bring the drink. Roberto (our server) also blamed my aunt who is pregnant for ordering the wrong thing and didn't attempt to make it right. The chef had to come out and make things right; giving her everything she ordered and more. We tried talking to the manager Chuck about it and he was very rude and passive aggressive, making it seem like if I was in the wrong. Would not go back but that chef deserves a raise or to work somewhere better.

Johnny Rockets has its charm! With the upbeat music and the peppy servers in the diner environment in homage to the 50s, makes for a charming funny experience. The reason for the rating is the food. Greased burgers in a quality of meat that just.. eh. The fries, are just fries. It's just the place to go for a heaping of cholesterol... They have several options in the menu, but mostly catered to fast food burgers revolving around a greasy menu and table. Maybe the place I'd visit every 5-10 years.. it's a quirky experience and to me the best bit would be the jukeboxes and the music lists!

4 stars for food 2 for customer service. We were passing by and saw that we didn't need to wait to be seated because not many people were there. We sat and not even a minute after three more tables with bigger parties sat. Our waiter brought one menu mind you it was two adults and three kids, my son is old enough to get his own menu, so that would be three menus. Ok lets move on. The waiter comes to take our order and I asked for two more menus. We look through our menu and tell him our order. My son asked for a milkshake and the milkshake took as long as our food. We asked him about the milkshake and said, they were still making it, 25 minutes had already passed. A milkshake that long wow. We get our food and of course no milkshake. Is not just about the milkshake but he didn't once come over to see if we needed anything we had to call for ketchup, ordering more drinks when our drinks were empty. Things changed when he came to our table and saw that I was checking in on Yelp, (he actually caught me), as I don't like for places I go to see I yelp, because lets be honest you will get treated differently and it shouldn't be that way. After that he would come over and check on us but honestly it was too late for that. My kids even got balloons. Another thing my son asked for another milkshake as he was done with the first one and not sure why on the bill the first one we were charged for $3 and some change, then on the second one same size and flavor $5 and some change. Not nice when the waiter tries to pull one on you. I honestly didn't want to waste time asking why two different amounts for same milkshake. When you have a toddler and a baby ready to leave you don't want to waste any more time. Customer service was just an inconvenience, our two burgers, and fries were good. My son didn't really like the bread on his hot dog, so he just ate it without the bread, he did liked his fries and milkshake. All in all not sure if we will ever be coming back. It was just an unpleasant experience.

We're in Miami on vacation from New England and stopped in before our flight. It has a nostalgic vibe with old school seating and classic music. We went traditional and ordered burgers. They were delicious and moist. The best part was the service. Our waitress, Daniella was extremely prompt and frequently communicated. Great job Daniella!

Terrible service!!! And the worst of all!!! He seems to be the manager. So rude and He told us that that waiting at the table will be 25 min and after that He ll be able to take the order. It is not 1 star because the rest of crew was NICE

For an average burger and fries spot, it's enjoyable. The burgers are tasty, nothing out of this world. The bacon cheese fries are pretty good. Overall, the service was amazing! Zero complaints!

Service was good and quick. What gives them only 2 stars is that the food at this particular location is absolutely awful. Let's start with the bacon cheese fries. Very little cheese and under cooked bacon that looked more like ham. And the grand finale failure was the bacon cheeseburger and double bacon cheeseburger. Overcooked is an understatement. These were dry as the Sahara desert. Hard crispy bits left over from a dirty flat top were glued to each patty. And one slice of cheese on a "double" cheeseburger. It's shameful because this franchise is generally great, but the Dolphin Mall location not only dropped the ball, but fumbled it as well. And be careful because they also charge automatic gratuity with out informing the guest.

This was an amazing lunch!!! My friend and I had Matias as our server and he was so friendly and helpful! It was our first time going so it was kind of confusing but he was so nice about it. The food was fantastic! The milkshakes had actual fruit and the burger was so flavorful!

I came with my wife and son after a bowling game I tried the double burger (I think is call the original) that thing was the worst burger of my life I mean I picked up and some of the burger fell then it was dripping grease I had a pool of grease and water coming out of the burger so did my wife's I tried talk to the manager and he only pick up the plates from the table and that was it no apology he just left and I'm still seating on the table waiting on my bill while writing this if I could leave a -5 stars I would

Not very pleased . The service was fine, took a long time for the food to come out then at the end when the waiter brought the bill he writes a note that I felt was extremely tacky for someone in the service industry. My family eats out quite a bit and we know that the tip is not included in the price of the food and ALWAYS tip our server but this note and the fact that he circled the suggested amounts were insulting. Will not go back

This is great for people watching, but I think there's a lot going on: 1) the waiters are unprofessional. They spend a lot of time talking about getting tips and figuring out who should get what table right in front of their customers and act like I can't hear who and what they are talking about. They are rude and will check you out before welcoming you IF they welcome you at all. They will make you wait 10 minutes to order and 25 minutes for food. 2) The whole place smells like a used rag: At first, my family sat inside so we can talk, but as soon as we sat down the stench of a rag used to wipe tables, chairs, and even the menus filled our nostrils. My sister lost her appetite. We moved to the outer area. 3) The food gave me a major stomach ache! I should of known something was wrong when we sat inside and smelled the unclean stench. They brought us chipped cups. My order was with grilled onions ...which was a major mistake. My stomach hurt for 4 hours after. It will take a lot of convincing to get me to return again, and I was a regular customer for over 5 years. I don't know what happened, but it's time for NEW MANAGEMENT!

I've literally been sitting in a booth on a semi quiet Friday afternoon for over 6 minutes. No one has come say hi, offered a menu, or even looked my way. There Re other parties sat outside with food and drinks that have been served since I sat down. So upset because I wanted my son to try JR for the first time. Off to another place in the mall.

This location is only getting two stars because the milkshakes are still up to par. The food however, is another story. Let's start with the cheesy fries. What comes to mind when you think cheesy fries? Cheese beautifully drizzled on your warm fresh fries right? Well not here. At best they grabbed some refrigerated piece of cheese, slapped it on top of some of the fries and then warmed it up so you got cheese that stuck together in clumps. Then there's the veggie burger which is another joke... it's like plastic within a bun as a cheap excuse for those who are vegetarian. Whomever is in charge of the cheesy fries is ruining an American classic.

Went to the movies on 7/15 and wanted to have a burger afterwards. It was around 10pm when we walked in to the restaurant. Every single table was dirty, inside and outside. It took a little while for anyone to acknowledge us. I did see a supervisor, wearing a blue shirt, but it seems nobody was managing the place. Had to use the restroom and it was filthy. The food was OK!! Employees were bickering as to who was going to take the table..... not impressed at all!!!!!

Although they were busy on the outside, there was no one on the inside. And I think I know why, inside smells horrible, like vomit that has never been cleaned up properly. I did receive great service. My burger was delicious. But I did not appreciate them adding out a 15% gratuity for a take out burger. I mean really??

We didnt get what we ordered for.The hamburgers came out from the freezer, it looked like they were just heated and not cooked on the spot. The food was cold. The waitress had a big communication problem. We'll never go back there.

Food was good. Service once started was really good. It just took too long for someone to acknowledge that we were there. Maybe the self seating rule causes this. My kid da enjoyed their meals and so did I. They had chicken tender kid meal and the hot dog kid meal. I had a Swiss and mushroom burger at the waitress recommendation. I added bacon and I had chili cheese fries. Despite the look of the meat on the burger (dark with charcoal edges) it was really good. If I'm in dolphin mall with the kids I would eat here again.

Horrible from the beginning!!!! Me and my kids seated outside and waited more than 15 minutes and no one came to serve us. So we decided to go inside,since we were totally ignored outside. What a dirty place, I really only stayed because my kids wanted to eat hamburgers, because I would gladly get up from the table and I would have gone. The food was totally disgusting, the french fries were hard and cold, the burgers burnt and grease , and the milkshakes took longer than the food. I'm totally regret it to sat there, I spent all night with tummy ache and my children too, besides having paid $70 of horrible horrible food. Never again!!!! DISGUSTING!!!!!

Disappointed! seems like all the employees just hangout in a corner and just talk and hangout like they're in a park which made it a little uncomfortable to sit next to. Didn't receive what we ordered the manager try to fix it but at the end we ended up paying for what the food wasn't worth. This place needs a little more organization and training. I'm a server and manager myself so i try to be a little understanding but when you're paying you expect a little more service and quality of food.

This place took an hour and a half to get a burger and a hot dog. When we got the food, the burger was mediocre, but the hot dog was absolutely distasteful. The server was okay, but. She hardly came to our table to ask how the food was,or if we wanted something else. This is the second bad experience I have had there, thought I would give them another chance. Bad choice. Don't recommend if you want a quick service.

Slow server, the worst manager and zero customer services. I went in a group of 9 people two of us had a coupon that we received by registering our email in their website. We told the rest of the group, they registered as well and when we told the waiter about out coupon he said let me ask my manager. The manager told him only one per group, we where all paying in different checks but they were not validating our coupon. We asked for the manager to understand why we could use the coupon he just keep repeating the same frase one per group. The manager told the entire staff to not accept the coupon and not to server us. Another waiter had to explain why we could ya the coupon since the manager left and didn't do his job as a leader. They disrespected us, so we ended up leaving and going to shake shack we're the service was night and day. Amazing place and people.
