Nothing fancy about this place but they do have a balcony overlooking Bourbon and Orleans streets. Great for people watching. We weren't sure what to expect from the food but the menu sounded decent. We had the Orleans Burger and the New York Strip Steak. Both were delicious and prepared exactly as we had requested. Food that we saw delivered to neighbouring tables also looked great and we overheard other customers complimenting the food. Would definitely eat here again.

Great little find on Bourbon. Popped in for a second as we waited for our table at a nearby restaurant. The ambiance is that of a regular bar, less the smoke, that could be because the doors were open and any smoke that was present may have wafted out... Idk, but I did take note of this. Michelle, the bartender, was friendly in her demeanor and swift on drink preparation. This was important because it speaks to her abilities to handle a crowd; which 15 minutes after being there was EXACTLY what happened. Pricing was fair, no complaints there. The drink was VERY tasty. She crafted the perfect Bloody Mary, caught the buzz and all. Love the hooks under the bar for my purse; hate hanging it on my knee.

This was a pretty badass spot off Bourbon! The food was yummy as usual in New Orleans! We sat on the balcony which of course is the spot you wanna be when on Bourbon, we got to see all the action below. We started with the meat pies, my honey got the gumbo trio, and I got a delicious Orleans burger. Give it a go!

We dined up stairs on the patio where there is smoking available. I had the Chicken Alfredo. My ole man had the Chicken Sausage Jambalaya. Both dishes took a little while to come out...however they were very busy and it tasted like it was a fresh handmade meal. Both dishes were great!! And totally worth the wait. The only complaint we had was the service....that was absolutely horrid. Took quite some time to get greeted...then a good while to get our drinks once we gave her our order. She never came back to ask if we wanted another round of drinks...so after sitting a while with empties I got up walked inside, saw her on her cell phone and shook my empty beer can at her. After a min or two she came back with a drink and then disappeared again until she served us our dinner. Never saw her again after that. Didn't come back and ask how it was...if we needed another round. Nothing. I finally got up once again looking for our waitress to ask for a to-go box and the check. The food is and atmosphere is definitely worth going for...good luck not getting the server we had though, she really turned an all around great experience to an experience of saying the place just having good food.

Google
Johnny white. What can i say. My first stop always, everytime i go i have an amazing time. The bar tenders are awesome, funny, friendly and make you feel like you belong. If your uptight its not for you.. but if your their to enjoy the city for what its worth it should be your first bar too. Say hello to lulu and dave also daves dog jenette which barks at the mention of a squirl that made me laugh all the time..

Yelp
We saw a lot of balconies to people watch on Bourbon St but some were hotels and we guessed for hotel customers only. There were a few clubs that looked rammed that may also have offered the same but we were looking for a spot that was busy but not rammed and we settled on Pour House. Came in for some drinks and people watching. The balcony spot was great, it overlooked a souvenir shop which we saw staff try to stop a theft, some street security try to stare down a bunch of kids and a lot of really drunk people walking around. There was a diagonal balcony trying to get people to flash them and tossing out beads. We could see the buskers and just watched the night devolve from here. The bartender was super friendly. She was super nice. Drinks we're that expensive. However they were pretty water downed and my rum and coke was flat. Solid spot, drinks are mid.

Yelp
This place is also called Pour House @ Bourbon. We got some good drinks here and you can't beat a $5 breakfast with this view. We were here before the upstairs bartender started so we had to keep going downstairs to order or get things. The only reason I'm giving 3 stars is there was a $6+ service charge on our bill. Also the bill we received was itemized so you couldn't tell what you were charged. Seems shady. Best to pay for each round and not leave an open tab. We ordered through the bartender not Uber Eats.

Yelp
My roommate and I came to a burlesque show here recently and had a great time. It was free for starters, and who doesn't love that? The performances were great--all unique and entertaining. There is both indoor and balcony seating and several different bars for service so you don't have to go far to re-up on beverages. I had several of their special sex on the beach syringe shots. Tasty and they got me pretty trashed, I won't lie. Bourbon St isn't where we normally go for a night out but I'd go back to this place, happily.

Yelp
This place was great! We were greeted by Bartender names Jess! She was sooo sweet and definitely took care of us. She encouraged us to try this green tea shot and it was really good. They have a music machine that you can pay to play some good music as well. For food we tried the garlic Parmesan fries and lemon pepper wings they were good! They have a restroom upstairs (it's not the best but hey you're in Bourbon... lol so it works). They request you to buy t Keats one drink tk use the restroom... but why wouldn't you when the wait staff is soo sweet! There's also a balcony where you can throw beads from as well.

Yelp
Look. You want some good azz biria drizzled over chessy Mac n cheese that when you bite it- you back in you tia Petras house in Santa Ana eating it on tostadas. It's home cooking, at least it's my home cooking, and it's delicious. But wait, the bread pudding, GET IT!!!

Yelp
Jarmira & Troy saw us on Bourbon walking looking for food and they must have knew we were hangry. Cause they came up to my bf and i asking straight about food in their bar. At first i didn't want to go cause i was set on what i wanted but their energy convinced us to come in. Their energy was so captivating and welcoming. She saw that i was hangry and she wanted to make sure that i got some good food and drinks while also giving pleasant compliments. We ordered chicken quesadillas and shrimp Poboy and the food was deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelllliiiiiiiccccioooussss. You never would have noticed the place without their amazing energy

Yelp
I was wandering around the Quarter on Christmas day. Not really headed anywhere. I kept looking at people with drinks and instantly wanted a bloody mary. When the urge hit I was outside Local 718. So I thought it best to go in and order one. Instantly the music was great. 70s 80s soft rock. An eclectic group of people. I was at the right spot. The bloody was soo good. The bartender and patrons were wonderful. Oh and the dog on the bar added the right touch. I left with my bloody and headed to Clover Grill. Got my food and headed right back for another. Next trip I'll be back.

Yelp
Started coming to this bar back in 2014 when it was Johnny White's, we'd toggle between the Sports Bar & the Hole in the Wall and spend hours chilling (pause for a moment of silence). This was our 1st trip back since the sale & reno so we had to check it out. I so appreciate that the lay out is still the same just as much as I appreciate how new it is. The jukebox is still cranking, the cheap beers are still flowing and there's still familiar faces around. As for the food, all I can say is Debris Fries, Debris Fries, DEBRIS FRIES!! Tender beef, gravy in all its garlicky goodness on top of crinkle fries, we added grilled onions for a little extra punch. Jon, Brandon & John were awesome! When you wanna take a break from the Bourbon St. crazy, just stop here for a few.

Yelp
Great service and friendly bartenders. We were intrigued by the 2nd floor patio as it was a nice day and we wanted to sit outside and eat. Delicious Hurricane and the sliders were good too!

Yelp
Low key, comfortable bar with attentive bar service from Stephanie and Christian crew on Tuesday night. The live band played upbeat jazz. The best live music on Bourbon st that night! Good times, great friends! Also one of the only bars with an upstairs balcony open.

Moo M.

Yelp
Staff is horrible and the manager is even worse. The menu had no description of a sandwich that was mixed with pork. After looking at the sandwich we asked for another item with no pork. The bartender relayed the message to the manager Sara, if that's her real name. Sara said "I'm not issuing a refund because the menu says sausage." (Which is not true!) Then she just walked away and hid the whole night!! After that the bartenders started to get smart with me not knowing what was going on. Theres not enough room to talk about the whole situation in detail. I did record it tho. The sliders were no good either.

Yelp
It was my home away from home dive bar. Christian aka Tink was fantastic! Absolutely hilarious and a great time! Bartender KD may have been the coolest dude I've ever met down south and will definitely be back!

Yelp
Local 718 is by far my favorite bar in NOLA ! Best service I've received in ages. And amethyst is AMAZING, made my NOLA experience, the sex on bourbon street drink is delicious. 10/10 recommend!!
google avatar

Yelp
Great dive bar, live music, good vibes and Leann makes the BEST Bloody Mary!!!! One of those places you must go to in New Orleans
google avatar

Judy C.

Yelp
What a beautiful sunrise on Bourbon Street!! It was our last morning in NOLA, we had only an hour to enjoy before heading to the airport, and at 8am there aren't many options. That being said I now have a new fav go to place on Bourbon. Ashley was funny , cheerful , and pretty much all around amazing. 1. They had nonalcoholic beer for me 2. My husband said it was the best Bloody Mary he ever had and 3. My daughter was amazed by her drink as well. What a great vibe!!! Will for sure go again

Yelp
Cool little place on Bourbon street with a good patio. Ask for LeAnn and you'll get great service.

Yelp
Happy bday to Stephanie! Love Willy and Christian. They showed us to the best seat in the house! Love the view from up here the vibe is awesome!
google avatar

Roch T.

Yelp
This place always kicks ass! Grab a cigar at Crescent City cigar and enjoy it on the balcony at the 718. Ask for Stephanie. She beat me handily at a pec dance off.

Kari B.

Yelp
We were in NOLA for 4 nights and came back to this bar every night. We never ate here so can't speak to the food but the drinks were fantastic and the staff was even better! We would have walked right on by if it weren't for Christian's big smile, dance moves and enthusiasm that talked us into coming inside that first night. Next up the security guy Kim, provided a warm welcome and a run down of the three different bars, where the bathrooms were and an introduction to the staff. Then we met the bartender, Brian. He was SO much fun and made the best drinks. He truly made myself, my husband and my parents feel right at home. Perfect hole in the wall. Enough people to interact with and have a good time but not so busy that you can't find a good seat.

Jen W.

Yelp
Sooo this is this best place we've been. We had Marcell and Jarmira and they were FANTASTIC!! Highly recommend this place.

Brianne B.

Yelp
This is a great bar amidst on bourbon street. It is a low-key environment with seating which was a plus. The bartender, Jai, is really friendly and helped us with recommendations about where to go in New Orleans. This is a must see for a chill spot on bourbon street.
google avatar

Jenni W.

Yelp
Kristen the bartender was awesome! Had a band playing in the afternoon, the drinks were a heavy pour for the price, well worth it!
google avatar

Ryan W.

Yelp
Great place with an awesome staff. Didn't eat here but had some beers. Great selection of beer, not your usual "neon light" beer stop selection.

Allison L.

Yelp
If you're in to dive bars, strong drinks, great bartenders, and a chill vibe this is the perfect Bourbon St spot for you. Stop in for one, and stay for many. Stephanie makes this place a party.

Zara A.

Yelp
I would have given more stars but the bartender was awfully rude. My friend and I were first greeted by someone doing security there. He invited us to come in and explore the food options. I thought he was the host at first. We walked around the place and figured we would enjoy the balcony seating. We walked to the bar on the ground level and the bartender looked annoyed. We asked if we can sit upstairs and she replied, "the stairs are right there" in a harsh voice. My friend followed up with "well, will there be a host or a server upstairs?" And the bartender quickly responded that we just walked around here. My friend and I looked at each other and just didn't feel welcomed. We couldn't help but tell her she had an attitude and she laughed as we left. Long story short-- the security agent and bartender should switch jobs!

Elena G.

Yelp
Horrible. We waited 50 minutes for our meal. When it arrived we were told they don't have any utensils or condiments.

Hollie D.

Yelp
Local in the industry also. Worst service ever. Stopped in 4:30 in the morning and ordered breakfast. Was barely greeted by the bartender and was ignored the rest of the time. Ordered breakfast. Took 40 minutes to get there. While cooked properly; it was delivered by a very surly looking young man. When asked for more butter, He rolled his eyes at me and walked away in a huff. After 10 to 15 more minutes he came back down with a small ramekin. I told him that I was sorry. Boxed in to go boxes, and served with an impression that we should leave as soon as possible. All in all I would give this a very negative review. As it left a bad taste in my mouth, even though the food was quite tasty. In my opinion the poor House on Bourbon should work on its overnight staff's customer service skills ASAP.

Yelp
WARNING TO ANYONE SOBER. So I understand how this area works, all kinds of people are pushy and trying to sell stuff. But this woman who works for 718 and stands outside with shots is scary. In our group of four we have two sober people and two not sober people. This woman started trying to sell us shots, we declined and kept walking. She physically stopped one of us and physically poured two shots down one of our throats, luckily one of our drinking friends but then tried to physically pour shots down one of our sober friends and I had to step in front of her to stop this woman. We said no, we tried to walk away because this woman is NON CONSENSUALLY poured shots down our friends throat and wouldn't take no for an answer from our sober friend till I stepped in between them. She wouldn't let us walk away and said we had to pay for the two shots she poured down our friends throat. $20 for two shots we were FORCED to take. So effed up. Took a picture of the sign to remember so we could write a review and she is IN this photo.

Ron G.

Yelp
Stephanie is a sweet beautiful soul who is a joy to be around and drink with. Highly recommend.

Stan A.

Yelp
When you're walking Bourbon Street in the French Quarter in New Orleans, and you see a bar practically completely empty, there's usually a good reason for it! The food was terrible, the drinks were not good, and more importantly, when the check comes and it has a 15% charge for "Service Charge", one might think this is a tip, BUT NO, it was not! There was another line for the tip! I have no idea what this charge was for, but needless to say, if I ever go back to New Orleans, I will avoid this place like the plague!

Tara M.

Yelp
We were looking for a fun place to enjoy Bourbon St and found Local 718. Sean was amazing and the dj was great! We spent much longer than anticipated in this location since Sean was so great!

Olivia L.

Yelp
I came here for a fraternity formal and they denied my ID even though I was over 21. They were very smug about it and tried to tell me why it was fake. They also told me to get a better fake id. Also the drinks were gross

Jen O.

Yelp
Stephane is a great bartender!! Very engaging and love the tattoos!! Make sure to go visit.
google avatar

Kevin H.

Yelp
Location is the only thing that makes this place worth a visit. Nothing on the menu jumps out at you. Friendly bartender upstairs but dude behind the bar downstairs was GRUMPY.

Dana E.

Yelp
Go upstairs! Vanessa makes great drinks, the jams are great and people watching is the best!

Toreian M.

Yelp
I visit here frequently and the bartender Jarmira is awsome. Its always a great time when she's there!!

B H.

Yelp
Tink (Christian) & Jai are amazing. They took care of us so well on our visit to New Orleans. Love love love the hospitality & music. Truly amazing people.

Lisa W.

Yelp
Took a vacation in New Orleans for a few days during the week, thought we'd hit up bourbon street in during the week so it wouldn't be so crazy. Stopped in and the music was great and the service was good! Stephanie stopped and talked to us making sure we were good but not pestering. Christian made our drinks quick and was super friendly, definitely would come back!!!!

Larosa T.

Yelp
Leann behind the bar makes a delicious spicy Bloody Mary. Great music to listen to while you are drinking.

Dakota B.

Yelp
Well, I originally came here to leave an amazing review about the entire staff but unfortunately I can only leave great words about Kisha. She is the absolute best! She works at other bars so I'd highly recommend finding out which bars those are & go give them your business. Sadly when my boyfriend & I got home last night when we went to check our bank account this morning to add everything up & we come to find that either Dave or Pam decided to tip themselves $200. Dave also was drunk and was calling my boyfriend & our friends pieces of shit & much more. Pam had to send him downstairs because of how he was acting. So I'd be sure to keep every receipt if you choose to give this establishment your business.

MJ E.

Yelp
We just happened upon this place on a Sunday afternoon and Brandon was cooking crawfish. I love crawfish and anyone who loves crawfish knows how hard it is to find the perfect ratio of flavor and the spice that hits the back of the throat just perfect. If Brandon is cooking, you will NOT be disappointed. The best crawfish ever. We ate dinner here Monday!!!

Sebastian A.

Yelp
Came to local 718 for some beers, left with a new friend, our bartender leann really made our trip to New Orleans :)

Megan M.

Yelp
Come here if you want your tab to be ~$10+ more than you anticipated! Was going to give this place 5 stars but will give it 3 as I was bamboozled into buying Stephanie the bartender shots against my will. She was very adamant about getting positive reviews to earn her alleged bonus for additional reviews online, so I planned to give a positive review about her. But then she offered us shots (free if you don't like it, pay for it if you do like it). The only thing is that she didn't mention that includes me paying for hers too. I don't like pushy people and this seemed like a very pushy way to get yourself drunk on top shelf shots via your customers tabs. The person at the bar next to me actually warned me saying he has been paying for Stephanie's shots all night too against his will, and he was very pissed off. I can't believe she is getting away with this and costing this decent bar 5 star reviews.

David O.

Yelp
horrible food salty oily and put us in the bathroom for the night. i'm guessing that is why it was empty inside

Cooper S.

Yelp
This place is amazing. Great prices for drinks. I was expecting average sliders but they were actually delicious. And the service from Kristen was outstanding. While the rest of Bourbon street is phoning it in this place is actually living up to the reputation.
