Johnnys Chicken and Waffles - Fort Worth, TX

The atmosphere was good, the DJ could probably turn the volume down a little and it would be better. The music level would make your conversation level have to be louder than a regular inside voice. The food was not good. We ordered a wrap, wings and fish extra crispy and it came out mushy so we sent it back but it was really dark like maybe the grease was old when it was brought back and had a fishy taste to it. The chicken was not done either it could have been cooked longer too and was really greasy, we took it home to put in air fryer. The wrap was good it came in a spinach wrap and the fries were ok. Not sure if we will go back or not I do think it maybe better after they have worked out all the kinks since it is just newly opened. They do have happy hour from 4-7 with $7 drinks specials. Parking is in the back and gratuity is already on the ticket so make sure you zero out the tip if you don’t want to give more than the 18% that’s already included.

The music was a vibe, I got there early and was sat right away. The chicken and waffles will live rent free in my head forever now and I will definitely be back! The Mac and cheese also melts in your mouth. My waitress was so sweet and attentive. The ranch was homemade and delicious! All around a great experience and TikTok was right!

My experience here was a 10/10. I went around 12:00 for my birthday brunch and there was no wait. The staff said they have been slow for a few weeks now. The chicken is a must! The grits are thick and good. Do not sleep on the fried biscuits, that is a game changer! Now when it comes to the atmosphere, it is loud. From the DJs to people talking, to the loud music, and just everything that's going on. Our waitress Ashley was top tier, I got a free shop for my birthday and even a complimentary drink. A time was had 🙌🏾 on our outing here. I will definitely be going back.

Came for lunch a few weeks ago, walking in the place it was a vibe and the music was right! Our waitress was very nice and made sure we had everything. I ordered Crystal’s cajun pasta and my best friend ordered the shrimp & grits. We have been to Johnny’s before but when they had their location in Arizona. Food was good for sure! I would come back again but like during the week.

The food lacked a little seasoning and the drinks were inconsistent but overall nice first time visit. I know it’s recently opened so willing so come back and try other menu items and enjoy the live DJ. The appetizers were good and flavorful. Lavonta was a great server. He had to mange the bar and tables but handled it well. The only downside/negative is the gratuity is already included so if you get separate checks it’s included on each.

From the moment I walked in, I was impressed by the welcoming atmosphere and warm service. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between cozy and upscale—dim lighting, tasteful decor, and a vibe that’s perfect for both date night and a relaxing evening with friends. I started with a mix drink that set the tone. For the main course, I ordered the 3 wings combo which came with 2 sides I pick Mac and chess’s and the kale greens, and it was hands down one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. Cooked to perfection, full of flavor, and paired with sides that truly complemented the dish. The bartender was attentive without being overbearing, offered helpful recommendations, and made sure everything came out timely and fresh. Even the drinks were on point— the neyo punch was a standout!

The music was excellent, the food was excellent and baby Journey ( my waitress) got me RIGHT! She sat down and I felt like she was one of the girls!!! I got the pecan waffle and whole wings!!! My appetizer was the buffalo eggrolls. OMG 😵‍💫😵‍💫 My back is BIG up in here!

The atmosphere and vibe was amazing. The food and drinks were very good. My chicken breast was kinda dry other than that everything was great. I will come back.
