Johnny's Pizzeria

Johnny's has all the makings of greatness: old-school digs, counter serve, locals of all stripes. And the pizza is excellent. Soft fresh dough, quality moz, bright sauce. Not sure Italians run it anymore, but who cares. Top 10 Brooklyn slice joints?

If you find yourself in Sunset Park, Brooklyn, pop into Johnny's Pizza for the real deal. The owner, Johnny, took my son's multiple allergies (pn, tn, egg, fish, sesame, poppy, pumpkin, sunflower seeds) very seriously; in fact, Johnny's daughter has allergies, so he understood! Johnny's is very much an old-school, authentic pizza joint-nothing fancy- just really delicious Brooklyn pizza! Perfection!! Pictured is their square pie.

This is a classic pizzeria that has withstood the test of time. Est. 1968 the pizza is delicious the variety is enough to keep traditionalists like myself happy with extra cheese and pepperoni and sausage or the grandma slice and for the more adventurous types they will be pleased by the Hawaiian style. They also have appetizers like beef patties, garlic knots and they make delicious heros and pasta dishes. Take a trip to this great place and Manga!! Enjoy!!!

Johnny's was (and will always be) a core memory of my childhood and lifetime. The wooden benches in the back, the hot slice on a paper plate, the glass oregano and pepper shakers. Nobody beats Johnny's, and I don't know where we'll find such good pizza after they close up shop. It feels like a chapter of me has closed up too. We'll miss you guys so much, wishing you all the best ❤️

I grew up loving this place. A true gem in Sunset Park. Great food made by great people.
