Went to John’s marketplace on Hall in Beaverton for the Pliny the younger ‘25 release. Great super helpful staff, we grabbed a veggie burger and enjoyed the packed house for the Russian river celebration. Always fun to check out the bottle shop and picked up a couple fun pints to take home.

John's Marketplace is one of those treasure places you find once in a while in a small town. This medium size world beers and wine store and restaurants is so cool, you can find beers from around the globe there. I was surprised about the amount of beers and wines they have in there store. They have recommendations if you don't know what to drink by asking you questions based on your tastes. I got to try a beers called (Saison Dupont) from Belgium and I loved it. They have a burger place inside the store where you can get burger, philly cheesstake, salade, sandwiches ets......The prices range from $3 and up for beers and bottles of wine can go up to $100. You will be surprised to find wine from France to South Africa. I recommend this John's Marketplace. I will visit again

I have to say that John’s market place has an outstanding selection of beer to purchase. They also have a nice selection of siders and wines. There is a lovely patio area and an indoor dining area. If you are going to John’s to purchase beverages, they are a five-star location. If you are going there to eat, well, good luck to you. You start off ordering at the countertop. When we ordered, my husband asked if he could get mustard, she was having a burger. There was a little confusion as to whether or not, they have mustard. I decided to go simple and ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with bacon. Eventually we were called and went to pick up our food. The mustard still seem to present a problem. Then I asked for salt and pepper again there was confusion. Eventually, the bartender went into the back and came out with three plastic sauce, containers containing salt, pepper, and mustard. I sat down to eat my grilled cheese sandwich and I could see there was the end of a piece of bacon sticking out, that was the only piece of bacon. My husband did like his hamburger once he got some mustard on it. The salad was okay. Basically this is a place to drink and they have a few eats and apparently a lack of condiments. Come for the beer and go elsewhere for the eats.

This place was SUPER cool! It reminded me and my husband of a place we love back home in Austin called the Whip In. John's has a separate room for buying specialty, local, and import bottles/6 packs. You can purchase a can or bottle and bring it to the restaurant part, pay a opening fee, and enjoy it with your food. The Reuben sandwich was hearty and delicious. I personally loved the options on their menu, and the prices were quite affordable. Servers and bar staff were friendly and fast. 10/10!

Iconic Portland bottle shop and taphouse and sandwich place finally comes to Beaverton! Biggest selection of beer anywhere. I love imported Belgian and German beers so this is my go-to place to get hard to find bottled beers. They also have like 18 beers on tap with a good variety (not just 18 IPAs like every other taphouse in Portland nowadays). They have a small menu of really good sandwiches including rueben, pastrami, and turkey among others. They even have outside seating so you can enjoy your beer and sammich in the pouring rain!

Update 10/27/23 - Had lunch here today and as last time it was good. I had the ardvark sandwich. Had lunch with my friend here and they serve up a great flank steak sandwich and with a decent tap list to get a beer or cider to wash it down. The selection of beer, wine, cider and other alcoholic beverages was just stunning as in how many different breweries, cider houses, etc there are.
