Brand new apartment complex few minutes from downtown. Great location for uptown city living. I’m from DC metropolitan area and it’s somewhat similar to modern DC city living: metro nearby to get you to downtown/walkable environment. The Joinery offers cars, bikes or scooters rentals available to use which is great option if you do not have a car. Optimist Hall is a few steps away a great place to eat or hang out. Great city views from the side walks or rooftops. Manager and Leasing agents staff are very friendly and helpful. Metropolitan Shopping and Central Peidmont Community College is like 5 min away. Come check it out!

It’s cheap here because parking sucks. There is a paid garage for retail customers, but actual residents have nowhere to park unless you want to walk 20 minutes down the road to park at another complex. And don’t even think of making your own spot bc you’ll get towed or dinged. And internet (which is provided through the apartment with no option to get your own) also sucks. Won’t be renewing my lease, and wouldn’t suggest renting here

Although I am not leasing, I wanted to leave a review that Cleavonna was absolutely wonderful. As soon as we walked in she made us feel so comfortable and was super sweet, you can tell she loves her job and cares for residents. Apartments were very clean and the community was well kept. I recommend her for anyone looking for a new home!! Thank you Cleavonna.

Joinery is honestly such a vibe! It’s super cool and hip, with tons of awesome amenities and this fun, youthful energy all around feel to it🌻. The staff is so kind and always helpful. Parking can be a little adventure sometimes, but hey, that just means extra steps for the day🤭! There’s already a cute coffee shop, a spot for great spot for pilates that just opened, and now a sushi place opening soon right in the apartment complex. Love it here and can’t wait to see what’s next! Thank you Joinery :)

Joinery is my top choice for a place to stay when I am in Charlotte, and I have friends who love living here. With the electric vehicles, light rail, and electric bikes, residents can easily give up owning a car. That is an amazing benefit that saves thousands of dollars per year. I also love the walkability. Night Swim is downstairs, the greenway is one block away, and there are lots of restaurants nearby. If I were in Charlotte full-time, I would definitely live at Joinery.

Love the staff, love the location, and love my apartment! I don’t have a car, so being in a walkable area was really important to me. The Joinery is perfect—it’s close to so many great spots around Charlotte and makes it easy to get in and out of Uptown. While you’re in the area check out all the local art!

So many complaints about the parking situation as if it’s not intended to be a car-free community. You really can’t blame anyone except yourself for deciding to move here and now having to walk down the block for parking. You could have easily chosen an apartment with parking that would better suit your needs, like I did. Once I toured and saw how much of a headache the parking would be I decided not to move here, but a friend of mine moved here last month since she doesn’t have a car and doesn’t drive and it’s been perfect for her. The only serious issues I’ve seen were, ironically, people parking their cars in the alleyway and making it harder for me to get into the visitor parking deck, as well as the elevator being down when I was bringing some furniture to my friends apartment, so I had to carry it up the stairs. I did bring my PC over one day to do some work and the Ethernet outlet in the apartment didn’t seem to work at all but the WiFi did just fine. Overall, this community and its amenities are a great fit for a certain lifestyle. If you have a job where you need a car to get back and forth or you feel the convenience of having a car is a necessity for you, then you should probably not sign a lease somewhere you will be personally inconvenienced.

The layout of the studio I have is 5/5. The space was clearly desgined thoughtfully. I love the pocket doors. It's the best studio layout I've seen in Charlotte. It was way larger than some of the others in the area, and while it's certainly not the biggest studio in town, its more than enough space to be comfortable. I save so much money by living here because I don't need to have a car. I don't have to worry about making payments or insurance costs or gas prices because I can take the light rail, I get free ebike and escooters anytime I want, and the apartment has rental cars I can rent for like $5 an hour - which is an insanely good price since Ubers and Lyfts are like $20 for one way! I can't wait for them to get more of the envoy cars! The bike room is secure and comes in handy. The price was fair, and they allow longer leases so I was able to sign a longer one and get a better price. These days, rent everywhere is really high, but the Joinery was better than their neighbors and I hope that never changes! The staff are all friendly, attentive, and pleasant. They offer free compost and recycling service. It's not like nothing inconvenient ever happens here, its an apartment complex, so sometimes things go wrong. But I can tell the staff here wants to make it all go right again. When renewals come up, I am 100% resigning my lease for as long as they'll allow me to. Pet friendly, and the location right on the greenway makes exploring Charlotte more fun!
