We went to Jojo's Hot Chicken for the first time tonight. It was a Friday night around 6:30 p.m. We waited for one person to order before we could walk up to the tablet to order. We sent the order by 6:39 p.m. and the text said it would be ready in about 25 minutes. We were called at 7:04 p.m. so it was right on the money. We brought the food home (9 minute drive). The fries are decent. Nothing to boast about. They are seasoned crinkle fries. They might have been crispy had we eaten there, but it's tough to say. I ordered hot, one ordered medium, and one ordered Louisiana rub (mild). The person eating medium was complaining how hot it was but I was eating what was supposed to be hot and wasn't feeling hardly anything. Either they accidentally gave him mine and wrote the wrong word on the container, or hot isn't really all that hot (I do eat spicy regularly though). The texture was good. The outside was crispy and the inside was moist. I did like the sauce in the cup for the fries. It's very similar to Scratch Cookery in SJ. I have to say, if you had Dave's Hot Chicken next to it, I'm not sure I could tell you which one was which. We would probably opt for Dave's in the future just because there's seating, drink options, and you aren't in the parking lot of a liquor store. Dave's also has unbelievably delicious Nashville cauliflower. Jojo's is a scootch cheaper but the chicken pieces are smaller than Dave's so it's about equal. Scratch always wins for size portions in relation to price, of the three. We appreciate supporting small businesses though, so know it was fresh, tasty, and worth trying. The banana pudding was a nice portion size and was yummers. 😊

The best hot chicken sandwich in San jose. We got combo 1 with Hot level and it was very good with enjoyable spice level. Had perfect amount of seasoning, chicken was crispy outside and soft and tender inside. The size of the slider is perfect. The fries are also great. The wait could be long so we will order online next time.

Hot is like 1/2 a Thai chili worth of heat. their only weakness for their food is their sauce. It's the weakest of the bunch. They're a food truck parked in front of a convenience store so you go there if you want drinks. You order on a ordering stand and there's two tables equiped with hand sanitizer while you wait! My only gripe was all the bug bites I got at the table. When you order, the machine tells you the ETA for your food. They have lighting fixed around when it gets dark.

Upon a recommendation from a local hotel staff member, I tried this chicken place in town. Got a chicken sandwich set meal with Jojo’s medium spicy level and sweet potato fries. Wanted unsweet tea, but unavailable. Owner offered other beverages, but I declined, no problem as I had iced tea in the hotel room fridge. Chicken sandwich was perfect. Juicy filet topped with flavorful slaw and pickles. Didn’t add the Jojos sauce on the side as I don’t care for mayo-based sauces, and the sandwich was perfect as is. Ate only half the fries and left the other half as they were a bit burnt. Overall, I’d give this place a 4.5, not a 4, but Google Reviews overall ratings are whole numbers only.

Yohana the goat! When I asked if he could add some hot seasoning into my combo bc I had forgot to add it in the order, he made me an additional tender free of charge! This type of hospitality is hard to find nowadays and I felt treated like family. The fries were very crunchy and their Louisiana rub was very reminiscent of Lays BBQ chip seasoning. Tenders were perfectly juicy and seasoned although the slider chicken was slightly stringy. However, I will definitely be back!

Food was excellent! Rhe sliders were very tasty, as were the fries. Reminds me of canes but tastes much better! Would come again and order the same thing. Also all the rubs indeed taste differently from one another. Service was a bit slow (took about 30 min) but that was because it was quite busy.

Portions are always huge, well seasoned perfectly cooked chicken, and always super consistent. This place is my go-to for hot chicken.

My goodness. I can see why this was one of the top on Yelp's top food trucks for 2025! Jojo's is extremely unassuming. It's located in a small lot with a liquor store. They set up a table or two for "dine-in" but most of it is to go. Parking is limited in their actual plaza, but I parked next door at the car wash and walked over. As their name suggests, they specialize in Nashville Hot Chicken. I tried the combo 3 which was the Slider + Tender in medium spicy. My wife got the bowl which is essentially a chicken + fries + slaw version. The chicken here is probably some of the best. The breading and seasoning was spot on. The chicken was fried to perfection and was super tender and moist on the inside. Their Jojo sauce was really tasty with everything as well! We also got a banana cream pudding which was a tasty final touch to an amazing meal. Overall, hands down one of the best hot chicken that I've tried. Would recommend!

Came here in search of good fried chicken. It's a food truck with very little outdoor seating. We waited for about 45 mins. We ordered at 5:01 and it didn't even look busy or crowded. The chicken was indeed amazing ,,, tender, juicy, crispy with the right amount of spice. The fries were awesome -- perfectly seasoned and crispy. So high marks for the chicken but it just took a long time. It's probably best to order online and then come and pick up.

Shared combo 1 (mild) with my boyfriend. We thought that their mild is on the spicier side. Sliders were bigger than I expected. They were equal to the size of regular chicken sandwiches. Their chicken was moist with a thin, crisp crust. We didn't think it's as flavorful as Dave's but it's still good. Their fries are super crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside. It's seasoned generously. Sauce is good and you can ask for more if needed. They provide honey and ketchup at the window. Dipping everything into honey made it go from an 8 to a 9. So good. Ordered pickup thru their website and it was ready in 15 minutes. Parking in the same lot that the food truck is in. A couple of tables and some chairs if you wanna eat there. Drinks available in the convenience store right next to the truck.

I've always been a fan of Nashville Hot Chicken style food but many places like to copy and paste the same idea without much thought into how they season or marinate the chicken, this place by far has exceeded my expectations beyond comprehension and it's pretty nice to see these folks taking care of their customers with flavorful food. I'll be recommending this spot to everyone i know, don't miss out and come by Jojo's!

I was craving a Nashville chicken sandwich and wanted to try a new place. The Yelp reviews and IG videos were enough to encourage us to try. Note, parking can be a bit limited. We ended up snagging a spot at the swim and racket club which probably isn't actually allowed. The truck doesn't offer drinks but it's fine because you can take 10 steps and patronize the liquor store and choose from their many options. The food was ready quickly. We ordered a Louisiana spice level slider combo to share and a banana pudding. When I went to pick up the food the super friendly (I think brother owner) asked me if I wanted any sauces. I told him "whatever you recommend. This is our first time". In an unexpected twist he thanked us for trying their food and offered me an Oreo pudding too! SCORE! There were two folding tables with chairs and some nice guys were willing to let us share. The food DELICIOUS! I want to come back to try the bowl and maybe to try a hotter level.

Absolutely phenomenal hot chicken. The fries are seasoned perfectly, the dry rub on the chicken (I ordered medium) builds to just the right heat, and the sauce is exquisite. I love how crisp and non-greasy the chicken is. Definitely ask for extra sauce to dip both chicken and fries!

I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious this place was!! My BF and I ended up getting the combo #1 just to share. It comes with 2 sliders, fries, and a side of their sauce for $16, which I felt was a good price for the amount of food that it came with. Medium heat was just the right amount of spice, but I think we definitely could've kicked it up to hot. The chicken was nice and moist, and the fries were even crispy too! They're just a small food truck in a parking lot, right by a liquor store. There's probably only a handful of parking spots. Food came out pretty quickly and the employees were super kind!

They had a few fold out tables, a heater, and some music going in the parking lot. This place takes a while - we waited double the estimated time on the iPad, but it was worth it. We got multiple orders of the sliders to try different heat levels and those sliders are HUGE! The fries were super well-seasoned too crinkle-cut. Chicken was delicious and their sauce is perfection!

I had seen a post on IG and after having Howlin' Rays in LA we were craving some good Nashville hot chicken. The food truck is parked in a liquor store parking lot. We ordered from the iPad kiosk and sat outside in the freezing cold. Wish they had some heater lamps or something. Overall chicken was disappointing. The breading lacked spice and flavor it didn't look anything like the IG reel. It really wasn't memorable and the chicken lacked flavor. Without the sauce this would be the blandest fried chicken sandwich. It was pretty disappointing and we probably won't be back.

Best chicken sandwich in San Jose and maybe Bay Area I come here weekly. It's my favorite chicken sandwich place cannot get tired of it lol thanks JoJo's.

Solid Hot Chicken spot but I was expecting a bit more considering the raving reviews and hype. I wasn't too hungry so I just got a single medium spice tender to-go. I also tried a bite of the medium slider and some fries. My tender alone was pretty good! The seasoning was so delicious and very addicting. However, I will say that the batter didn't hold up that well given it was takeout, and the chicken itself was inconsistent; dry at the ends and fine in the middle. The slider was nice and moist! I definitely enjoyed it more than my tender alone. And the fries were perfectly seasoned, crispy, and pillowy inside! Medium spice didn't pack too much of a kick, so I'd definitely recommend getting at least hot for spice lovers. My friends and I came by really late. By the time we got our orders, they were technically already closed. Nonetheless, they were nice and gave us extra sauces and honey packs. There doesn't seem to be much seating and parking is difficult at the lot due to limited space.

The food is amazing, I never knew this place existed, and I've lived here for ages. Thankfully found it by looking for places open at 9 PM near me. 4.9 stars with over 100 reviews and a food truck. I was a little hesitant, but so many yelpers can't be wrong. And they certainly were not, the chicken was so flavorful and spiced at just the level you request. My son and I shared the two slider combo number one, $16 from a food truck does seem a little much until you realize how much food they give you . This is definitely enough for two people that are not extremely hungry. I added a side of coleslaw, which was very tasty as well. I certainly understand the popularity of this place. There was a constant flow of business at 8:30 PM. Very friendly staff and it was nice that they had a couple tables outside with some lighting. I would certainly come here again if I was in the area.

My friend invited me to come try this spot as I never heard of it. It's a fried chicken truck off Kooser. This one is parked inside of a liquor store that has limited parking. According to what people said, this place is supposed to be really good. There is an iPad kiosk to order your food. The chicken itself wasn't memorable. It was average. The seasoning wasn't memorable either. They have a few picnic style tables next to the truck where you can eat your food which is nice. Prices aren't bad, as you get two sliders and fries for $18!

Jojo's is getting a heavy buzz on Yelp these days (See Yelp's list of 50 best food trucks in nation) so we decided to check it out and add our review. First of all expect food truck style ambiance and in this case "food truck in a small and crowded liquor store parking lot" ambiance with the occasional roar of the next door car wash in your ear. With that said JoJo's serves an excellent hot spicy fried chicken slider style sandwich with tossed and seasoned fries. You choose the spice style and heat level from a plentiful list of options. Our choice was Combo #1 with Louisiana Rub which came with a dipping sauce. We ate our orders fresh from the truck at one of two tables bordering the car wash. We took two more orders home to the hungry troops who were binge watching Netflix. Jojo's got thumbs up all around! They were good; very, very good. We'll be back, but next time we will opt for the homey atmosphere of our kitchen table rather than the liquor store/car wash ambiance at the truck. In summary, Jojo's was darn good! I'm not sure it's "top 50" good but we enjoyed it immensely and we will be back. What to expect: * Plentiful sauce options * Smartphone notifications when order is ready * Difficult parking, suggest across street parking when crowded * Sliders and yummy seasoned fries

Food is amazing! The vibes of the place is nice and homey. The workers and nice and you barely interact with them which is nice if you don't like talking to people.

Didn't know what love felt like until i found this chicken. Don't even have another photo this time. Ate it too fast. I get takeout here at LEAST monthly I am obsessed with their food! Idk why they're not on the michelin guide at this point because the food is 10/10 perfection to me. Y'all should apply for it or something, i'll never get chicken anywhere else it's amazing. Sauce is amazing, everything covered in honey is amazing, chicken is juicy the seasoning is bold and flavorful. I want to write another review every time I eat here. Had jojos through a catering event/banquet. The food is really good and flavorful. I got a tender and a slider with a bunch of fries. Medium spiced. The seasoning is really flavorful and spicy. One of the better hot chickens!

We just finished hiking Mt. Umunhum nearby and desperately needed something to refuel. I'd seen on reddit that morning that Jojo's is the best hot chicken in the San Jose area and mentally bookmarked it. Luckily, convincing my boyfriend to get Jojo's was a pretty easy task. Located in the parking lot of a convenience store, it was initially hard to spot and I drove right past it. My boyfriend pointed it out to me. Parking lot was small and full of cars. Squeezes into a pretty tight spot. Ordering was done by kiosk and pretty easy. Menu was small and simple, which is great! We opted to share a combo #3, mild, just in case. I never order spicy the first time I go to a restaurant just in case, though I am a spice fiend. The wait was maybe 15 minutes. There were other cars waiting for their orders. We decided to eat at the tables beside the truck. We got extra ketchup and honey packets. The mild was not spicy at all, I'll have to try out the spicier levels next time. The fries were nice and crispy, sauce was a great accompaniment to the chicken and the fries. Pickles were nice and sour. My boyfriend hates pickles and deemed these as the only pickles he'd be willing to eat. The slaw was nice, chicken was beautifully battered. I don't know how much of our enjoyment could be attributed to this being our first meal of the day at 6pm after a long hike, but it was delicious! We'll have to come back again, though it is quite a drive.

It's like crack. Went back 3 times in 2 weeks. Can park across the street easily. Gets busy. Despite this, eat it there or in your car or close by. It's way better hot! Fries are good. It's not 4th highest rated in the US nothing

Here to update my review one more time! Hands down the best Nashville style chicken sandwich in California. We have tried multiple places Nashville style place in California and nothing comes closure to Jojo's. We drive down almost 13 miles to get our favorite chicken sandwich and will keep continue to do so. The people who work there are the sweetest! Great customer service. Thank you Jojo's chicken for serving the best Nashville chicken burger in California!

I love their portion!! I'm a small eater and I cannot finish the entire spicy chicken sandwich at most other places. The portion here is perfect for me, I can enjoy whole piece of chicken and both buns in one meal. Chicken is crispy out side and moist inside. Two sliders with lots of fries for $18 is a steal!

Came here because a friend recommended me to try. I got the combo 3 - Slider + Tender + fries and a side of jojo's sauce. Chicken was very big, juicy, and wasn't dry at all! The wrinkle fries with the Cajun seasoning was tasty as well and very crunchy. But the thing I noticed about the wrinkle fries were that they were cooked/fried differently. Some fries were double fried and some triple fried. Still one of the best chicken I tried!

literally the last time i visit this place! not to mention--i gave them FREE promo on my IG & their service has declined since ! don't know what their problem is, but as a supportive local, i've done absolutely nothing to this establishment, whatsoever, to receive undeniably horrendous customer service. this is the 2nd time i place on online order, but irregardless, end up waiting even after in person ordering. At 5:10 PM I refreshed my order status which said 0 orders ahead/in progress and i STILL didn't get my order! 2 others did right AFTER i asked and mentioned my order is 5 mins late. Not exactly sure why there is ill intent but I'll never go back.

quality went down so much. chicken was in no way spicy when i ordered extra hot. it tasted like mild maybe even less. Additionally chicken was not crispy and flavor was lacking. I waited close to an hr which is honestly crazy too. i would not come back sadly

I don't get time to myself at all, so when I did last night, I wanted to try this place because I have had it bookmarked for some time and I was craving Nashville hot chicken. I thought this was on Kooser and Blossom, but it's on Kooser and Camden, so just FYI. Located in a small parking lot (liquor store and a nail salon, I believe). I had to park illegally otherwise I wouldn't know where to park. They have a kiosk. You just place your order, pay, and wait for your number to be called. If you include your phone number, you will get a text when your meal is ready, too. I ordered their #1 (sliders w/ fries). I used to test myself by ordering the spiciest, but since I am older I am aware I need to play it safe, so I would not hurt myself. I ordered the medium spicy (def not spicy), so I would order HOT next time. The chicken was tender, not dry.. I loved the crinkle cut fries. Barely any coleslaw, but the thick slices of pickles gave it that crunchy tartiness texture to the dry rub! The JoJo sauce was delicious and creamy. For the first time I did not check emails. I did exactly what I wanted to do; decluttered my home, setup my Buddhist alter, and finished 2 Netflix series (The Watcher and Devil in Ohio). I am going to try and finish Midnight Mass before returning to work Tuesday. I also plan to take Friday off to hangout w/ Gavin. The work will be there, Gavin will turn 13 next year; I will never be able to get the time back. But the point I was trying to make is.. go out and try a new spot! Go and knock off a bookmark! Explore! What a perfect way to end 2023 w/ this review. Not new year, new me but I need to center my energy on me for once. I am not going to put myself on the back burner anymore. Who would have thought SJ would have legit Nashville hot chicken that is juicy and full of flavor. I think it's better than Dave's and reminds me a lot of Hattie B's. It's no Howlin Rays but better than most chicken places in the bay area. The crinkle cut fries were seasoned and crispy. I like that the food isn't overly greasy where it makes you feel sick. The parking lot is small (8 spots shared with liquor store) so I ordered online and parked across the street in empty strip mall to eat it while it's still fresh. Nice people and quick service, food was ready in 15 minutes. I would come back.

I already reviewed this place, but felt it necessary to further explain how amazing this place is. In case the photos aren't enough to convince you to go to jojos hot chicken at this very moment, I will explain how awesome the food and customer service is. I bought 6 bowls for my relatives who are visiting from Colombia. I have tried to take them to many restaurants that I like, but this has by far been the best. They all scarfed down their bowls and were all ecstatic about how great it was. They are already talking about getting more Jojos Hot Chicken when they come and visit again. They said this is by far the best meal they've had in the US! The service here is always unbeatable with super awesome servers. One thing I have noticed with many restaurants as of recently are they have begun to skimp a bit on portions (Chipotle for example). However, Jojos Hot Chicken has not stopped serving bowls filled to the brim, and they have not at all lowered the portion of chicken they put in each and every bowl. Also, they load the bowls with delicious sauce, so that every bite in deliciously savory. All of this shows me that Jojos Hot Chicken truly cares about the customers experience and satisfaction, and it is hard to find such an amazing and honest place these days. Overall, I can confirm that I and my family love Jojos Hot Chicken! Here is my previous review as well: This is a cool little food truck that notably serves spicy chicken and other food items. There are some tables in the parking lot (next to the food truck) and a gas station in case you want a beverage or anything else to enjoy your food with. The servers are always really friendly and the food is prepared in a reasonable amount of time. As for the food, words cannot explain how good it is. This is truly the best hot chicken I have had in my life. I always get a bowl which includes chicken, sauce, seasoning, fries, and pickles, but there are other options as well. In case you are not a huge fan of spice, you can choose the level of hotness of your chicken. This is by far one of my favorites spots to hit up. I would give this place 6 stars if I could. Overall, I would without a doubt, definitely recommend!

Love this place. I like to call it in a hole in the wall. It's located in a parking lot off of Kooser, a random location but the food itself is really good. I personally like the chicken with mild spice, even-though I've tried most spicy options with the sauce. The sauce is delicious. The employees are really nice and very giving, but sometimes it can get really busy, so you might wait 30 mins for food (happened to me).

Chicken is very good, & other food items are good. I give this place a 3/5 is because their parking situation is awful. I would only get this place delivered tbh because of it.

Great Nashville Chicken!!! I got the chicken sliders with fries and wow the chicken was juicy and flavorful. Crinkle cut fries were crispy and spicy. Good portion sizes compared to other places. Def will be going back to get my Nashville chicken fix!

Wow wow wow this was good. So good. If you're looking for some bomb fried chicken sandwiches ("sliders" here although a pretty generous size for sliders haha) Jojo's is awesome. There's only two things on the menu right now: sliders and fries, or tenders and fries. Good thing their fries are crispy, tender inside, and served with the ridiculously good tasting Jojo sauce. I don't know what's in this creamy concoction aside from probably some mayonnaise, but it's addictive. I slathered it on everything. Since this was my first visit the chef/cashier (Jojo himself?) gave me an additional slider on the house. And let me be clear - I ate all 3 sliders within a 10 minute period. As soon as I had the first bite I didn't stop. Well, to breathe yes, but the food kept getting eaten. The sliders themselves are perfect. The chicken is juicy with a super crisp and delicate crust, the cole slaw and Jojo sauce add some moistness and acidity, and the bread was warm and lightly toasted. I even liked the pickles in the sandwich, despite typically not enjoying them. Another factor to mention is the choice in spicy levels. I ordered "hot", which was good but... could have been a smidge hotter. Next time I'll try "extra hot to see if the addition of scorpion peppers makes it more my speed. But honestly even without heat the sandwich is so good, I would eat it mild. Jojo himself is super nice and positive, and knowledgeable about modern classic European cars which was a nice surprise. The truck is located in a parking lot in front of a minimart/liquor store and a hair salon. There was a long table set up if you want to eat in, although I had errands to do so had to eat on the go. There's a decent amount of parking, although 5 pm on a Saturday probably isn't peak hours. Venmo and credit cards are accete Overall it was fantastic and I am looking forward to coming back.

Part of me is reluctant to tell people how good Jojo's is, but since they just were voted best food truck in CA, I guess the secret is out! This place is amazing! Great service, amazing hot chicken, and run by an awesome guy with a very cool story too! They have some seating outside by the truck which is convenient, however, most people take it to go. If you do stay, they've got great music! My wife and I have been coming for years since a friend told us about Jojo's and we couldn't be happier. We still try to hit it once a week. You keep cooking and we'll keep eating!

This food truck is located right behind a gas station, next to a liquor store. It's nice that they do provide two tables and chair to sit outside to eat the food, wish they would add an extra table if possible. This place does get good business, the wait is not too long for the food. You order the food on a kiosk, then they'll call your name when it's ready. Saw this place on tik tok and we wanted to try it because it looked bomb, it was indeed good! They provide you with a lot of food, so definitely get your moneys worth. They have a Bible verse on their truck which I thought was neat! Definitely one try this place out if in the area.

Yohana the goat! When I asked if he could add some hot seasoning into my combo bc I had forgot to add it in the order, he made me an additional tender free of charge! This type of hospitality is hard to find nowadays and I felt treated like family. The fries were very crunchy and their Louisiana rub was very reminiscent of Lays BBQ chip seasoning. Tenders were perfectly juicy and seasoned although the slider chicken was slightly stringy. However, I will definitely be back!

I thought I tried all the chicken sandwich food trucks in San Jose, so I was surprised when I saw Jojo's Hot Chicken. I decided to try the Combo #3 which includes 1 tender, 1 slider, fries and their Jojo's sauce. I figured it would be a great way to get a taste of the menu. It was a great idea because it tasted great! I also decided to try the cookies and cream and it was a great dessert. Overall would definitely come back if I was ever at this part of San Jose again!

JOJO'S HOT CHICKEN puts popeyes,Kfc and chick filet out of bussiness . BY FAR this is the best chicken sandwich in the world. Pictures and reviews speak for itself. I ordered a spicy chicken and the sause that came with it was insane good. The fries were just ok but overall the best. They are located on camden and blossom hill and they serve their food out of a truck. Its a very nice fancy up kept clean truck. Stop by and look no further

This food truck is one of my favorites. There's options to order ahead and pickup the order. Liquor store next door for snacks. There's a low amount of parking but it's do-able. The chicken is fresh! Love the sauce as well.

JoJo's Hot Chicken is hands-down one of the best hot chicken spots I've tried. The chicken is incredibly tender--it practically falls apart with every bite, and the seasoning is spot on. You can really taste the care that goes into each piece. The crust has the perfect crunch without being greasy, and the meat stays juicy all the way through. I went with Louisiana heat, and it had just the right amount of kick without overpowering the flavor. The sides were also great (try the fries and pickles!), and the service was fast and friendly. If you're craving hot chicken that's both mouthwatering and made right, JoJo's will not disappoint. Definitely coming back for more!

I've been to this food truck many times and can confidently say that this is consistently the best chicken sandwich I've ever had. The fries are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and seasoned perfectly. The JoJos sauce is also amazing. The staff are always so kind and cheerful. One of my favorite places to eat in the Bay Area, I genuinely can't recommend them highly enough!
