JoJo's Shake Bar - Water Tower Kiosk

Food came quick. The ice cream was good but not worth the $14.00. They did not give napkins and it was very messy. There was a spot for bar spools yet there was none. Other people ate there as well and because of the lack of paper towels, the place was wet, sticky and full of crumbs.

I will definitely be getting more hot chocolate from JoJo's Shake Bar this holiday season. I always struggle to find a good hot chocolate that doesn't leave a bad after taste, luckily JoJo's has great hot chocolate. I also tried the chocolate Donut hole which was better than I expected. It was about $1.50 for a decent size. The tables were clean and the staff was kind. They worked very efficiently and didn't leave us waiting for our orders.

It looks so much better than it tastes and is executed. The shake flavor itself wasn't too bad. Problem was all the toffee prices were in the bottom and would go through the straw because they were so big. And it was a big paper boba size straw. The donut hole was so dry I think I saw jawas traveling across it. The cookie was so hard it could have been used as a street hockey puck. I'm pretty sure we threw more away than we consumed.

My girlfriend and I definitely enjoyed the shake. It was very delicious, but very messy, so definitely be prepared to use lots of napkins lol. Also the service was really fast

Was visiting Chicago from out of town and saw a lot of people walking down the street with these cool milkshakes! So we hopped in line and I’m so glad we found this place because it was awesome! Next time we visit we definitely plan to dine in and try their other food options!

Oh these shakes are amazing. Very messy though. But worth the price. 😋 👌

Happy birthday to JoJo’s! This is their birthday cake celebration shake. It was delicious and super sweet. Tip: since this is in water tower, there is a place where you eat them. Just behind JoJo’s are chairs where you can devour this messy, sticky, sweet and delicious shake.

This place is amazing. The shakes are of great quality. We tried several flavors!

Stopped by the JoJos kiosk before they closed to get another treat. One girl was working and she made our shakes fast but we could tell she was beyond ready to go home. She didn't have a physical menu for us to look at but said if we walked around the corner, there was a large menu on the wall but we had to look at this specific location. The milkshakes are obnoxious and over the top but that's what they're known for. Mine had a marshmallow, chocolate covered pretzel, smore, and cookie. The milkshake itself was great, but all the extras were so over the top. The smore was clearly premade because it was pretty hard, especially the marshmallow while the extra marshmallow was soft and seemed more fresh. The cookie wasn't great, but again, they were closing soon so I'm sure none of this was very fresh. Overall, next time I'd probably just get a shake. It's fun for the kids to see the crazy stuff sticking out of it but it's a way for them to charge way more for a bunch of average add ons.

I've been here twice so far. The first time I split a milkshake with a friend and I didn't like it pretty much at all. It was incredibly sweet and every sip hurt my teeth. This is definitely just an Instagram/social media trap with how much they pile on top of the milkshakes. This was the only dessert place inside of Time Out Market, so I decided to give it another try. However, I decided to try their Milk Bars this time. My friend and I got their Blueberry Lavender and the Cherry Chocolate to share. They were not overly sweet until I got to the end, where it was just too much sugar in general for me. But the flavors were fantastic for both! The blueberry lavender is very refreshing and perfect for a nice summer day. The cherry chocolate definitely has a stronger flavor to it and feels nice for a fall type of weather. All in all, this place screams sugar (obviously). I wouldn't want to get a milkshake from them again, but I wouldn't mind a milk bar once in a blue moon.

The front desk agent at our hotel recommended JoJo's since our kids were traveling with us. What a cute find! It was just around the corner from the Springhill. Our kids had a cheeseburger, one had a Texas toast size grilled cheese, one had the baked mac and cheese. All enjoyed their meals and treats. Service was good, they were super busy and the waiters have to run to the main building next does for all the food/drinks/frozen treats. Be patient and enjoy the beautiful, over-the-top crazy fun surroundings!

Stopped in for the Christmas hot cocoas. The buffalo chicken wrap was good and the hot cocoas were delicious!

My first time trying out Jojo's Shake Bar and it was hands-on one of the best desserts I ever tried in my life! There is no diet plan if you order one of these shakes. It's filled with happiness and love plus a ton of calories! It's located inside the Water Tower Place. You won't miss it, it's on the same floor as Legos and literally the stand is right in front with a ton of people waiting for their shakes or ordering. Please be patient there was at the time only one lady literally hustling to do everything on her own. I felt so bad for her, there should be at least another or maybe three people to be here at this location. We ordered two different shakes to try one was named the unicorn and that was for sure the prettiest and a must order. The second drink was named gold digger and got one because it has a chocolate pretzel in it and who can resist eating pretzels! They are one of my favorites. Overall super satisfied with the drink orders and the lady that was working by herself really needs a raise for what she had to go through!

Oof - that was not good. The shake itself was pretty mediocre, and since I didn't hear a blender, I'm assuming it was premade and finished/stirred briefly with an additional ingredient for each flavor It didn't even taste like a milkshake, like it had some sort of weird filler to increase their profit per shake. The cups were already sitting there pre-dipped, uncovered with candy and chocolate syrup, which was just nasty. For $15, everything should be made fresh. The cookie and cake pop were both stale, and to top things off, the woman working there wouldn't give me a cup of water with the $15 shake and only wanted to sell me a bottle of water Certainly makes for a good picture on Instagram, but I'd take a quick walk to Chick-Fil-A, save $10, and have a much better shake with a complimentary water. Avoid this tourist trap.

This is another location that's right in water tower. The selection is good and there are some seats. These fill up quickly unfortunately by non paying customers which is not JoJo's fault. The prices are high but it's in the city and that's just how it is. The shakes are delicious!

The shakes here are definitely over-the-top and pricey. They belong to the category of "freakshakes" and should not be had very often (if at all). With that all said, if you still want to go for the insanity that is JoJo's Shakes, you won't be disappointed. Situated inside Water Tower Place, this shake bar seems very unassuming. Don't worry about that, though. For a whopping $14, you can get one of their "Biggie Shakes." I got the Chocolate Nirvana, which is made of the following: - Chocolate Oreo Shake - Double Chocolate Dodo - Double Chocolate Marshmallow - Chocolate Chip Cookie It should not come as a surprise to the reader that I like chocolate and cookies and cream! There was even a cookies and cream "crust" around the rim of the cup. They gave a spoon to eat it! This is so much stuff that you must have an appetite ready. Maybe even come a little hungry, because this is going to seriously suppress your desire to have much else for a while. Why, it's marvelous that I did not have a sugar crash during the rest of my busy schedule. JoJo's Shake Bar definitely sweetened my day.

It's alright, probably the most typical shake I've ever had though I'm sure all the stuff they put on top really makes for a sight for kids and people who love shakes. But again, the shake itself is pretty standard and even Shake Shack would have better ones.

I was sitting here for 30 minutes waiting for my shake. All I saw was shakes being given to other people. I got the chocolate Nirvana and it is the easiest one to make on the menu. In my opinion if your short on time than don't come here.

They offered free shots for reviews! I can't turn down some free drinks! Also Guadalupe was great!

Don't waste your money on this place as we had the worst experience at the River North Location. What was supposed to be a happy celebration for our daughters 15th birthday turned out to be an absolute nightmare!!!!!!! The service was terrible and when I complained to the managers, John and then Wendy, they made me feel like it was my fault and not theirs and didn't even offer an apology or a complimentary shake or drink. Food came out in intervals with some of my party getting served 45 minutes before the others. Food was cold and tasteless!!! Very disappointing!!!!!!!!

The whole experience here is everything fun! Had I not eaten all that Cuban food I would have gone all out with a 15.00 shake. I opted for the basic, banana shake. To order I walked up and selected my shake and toppings on an I-Pad like kiosk. I swiped my card to pay for the order. I then waited for my name to be called at the pickup window. There is also an option to eat outside under the lit canopy area. It's a fun little set up. As for my shake...This shake was smooth and creamy. It wasn't overly sweet. In fact the cream taste as plain as whipped egg whites. My only complaint.

This review is for the location inside Water Tower (right outside of the Lego store). I was so excited to try one of the over the top shakes at JoJo's, but was extremely let down. The one I got had a cake pop sticking out that was so incredibly dry that I wasn't sure what it even was supposed to be. The whole thing was just kind of meh. Such a letdown for something I had been excited to try for quite awhile.

The staff here is majority, Latin, and very friendly. they had seating outdoors and indoors, and one of the young men who is acting as security outdoors, told me of a nearby place that I could park at a public parking garage and that was the first reason that I came back and had lunch there. I said at the bar as I was alone, and I did not want to waste a table when a potential family could be using it as they were quite busy. I do not like that they added 18% service charge onto my bill but I am not used to eating at places such as downtown Chicago, so I imagine that this is probably the norm and it didn't really matter as my bill was low anyway. The bartender spoke zero English and I was able to communicate with him via Google translate on my phone but the gentleman that served me did speak very good English so he had an accent. He was my server with the beard and I was very very impressed that he asked if there was anything I would like removed or added to my sandwich, and he also asked if I had any food allergies, he should be aware of, and in my opinion, this went over and above what my opinion is as normal service. The food was good. It was quite interesting people watching, the staff was friendly, and I would definitely recommend them to other people and additionally, I would not hesitate to go back and give these people my business. again, thank you for helping make my visit pleasant being as I am not from the Chicago area they made it very easy.

Pretty good. Definitely pricey, but still a great experience! The outdoor seating was gorgeous and they played great music.

Went here for my birthday before quarantine and it was amazing! We came after dinner but next time I will just come FOR dinner. The milkshakes are huge and decadent and delicious. You have to visit this place and there is a reason for all the hype. Highly recommend!

If you want to find superb custom service. Bomb milkshakes and a chill atmosphere. Come to jojo's. I've never had alcohol in a milkshake. Come to find out it wasn't bad at all. And I'll take one of jojo's shakes whenever I want a milkshake. It's well worth the change. They didn't want an arm or a leg for the drinks either.

The shakes are OUT of this world, I will go back around 4th of July. Yuma, this is a MUST hit!

Host was pleasant. Waitress was too. Loved the old school magazine covers on the wall in the bathroom. Shake was fun. The brisket wasn't tender but everything else I enjoyed.

1 million times yes!! Me and my girlfriends went there for break one day and it was insane. The English language doesn't have words for how outstandingly insanely sugary delicious their shakes are. Whatever you're doing stop and go there. Don't forget to bring your insulin shot because you're going to need it. Love Love Love!!!

Super fun place to visit. Loved the decorations and shakes. Our waitress Alison was super nicexand recommended the gold digger shake which was so fun!

This shit was waaaaaaaay over price. Shakes were ok but not enough to pay 14 dollars per milk shake for. Food was horrible, I've never in my life received food so fast. I've waited longer for a Big Mac. I was curious to see how they were making the food. So I asked the waitress and she gave a bland response as if she was caught. When the food came that fast I knew it was terrible. Needless to say the bill was 175 dollars. Oh they also added a gratuity fee, which the waitress calmly said with a smile, "its put into you're bill due to the coronavirus to help out the workers". Now I'm all for helping out workers, but the place was fill with patrons at each table and a line outside . Seems like the place was functioning at 100 percent capacity. Please just go for the experience, nothing else.

All the shakes here were wayyy overpriced. Decent tasting, but not enough to charge the $10-$14 per shake. I could make one just as good at home for half the price.

Shakes are worth it even if you just want to snap a picture. We also did their margarita tower - we were in the Throwback Popup Garden area! Nothing was out of this world, but the area was beautiful and our server was AMAZING.

honestly the shakes were okay, 7/10. the toppings weren't that great but for a fun spot to come for pictures or just to hang out , would recommend!
