Smooth Cantonese porridge with a unique burnt taste. As a true blue cantonese, this taste may not be acquired to your taste bud. However, the consistency is gluey and less grainy. They have improvised to their local taste. Street food with an old school experience. There is a reason for their multiple awards recommendations, including Michelin.

Another Bangkok Michelin gem quest. The atmosphere was so full and crowded. Best congee for breakfast I've ever taste so far in town. As I was avoiding organ and offal parts, I only ordered simple pork congee with eggs. There's a smoky aroma of the bowl, fragrant, combined with tasty minced pork balls, soft boiled egg and century egg. Don't forget to add some patongos for side dish, crunchy. So delicious that I have to hold myself for not ordering more because it was just a breakfast and was still early in the morning. Lady owner was so friendly and attentive to customers. Satisfactory portion and affordable price too. Definitely will visit again.

Visited the famous Jok Prince with high expectations, but left underwhelmed by their signature charred porridge. The Experience: 🔥 “Char Porridge" Gimmick – You can definitely taste the burnt/charred flavor (their trademark), but it’s more distracting than delicious 🐖 Mediocre Minced Pork – Fatty cuts with unremarkable seasoning 🥣 Texture Issues – Porridge was neither silky-smooth nor hearty – stuck in an unsatisfying middle ground The Positives: • Quick service typical of Bangkok street food • Open late (good for night owls) Who Might Like It: ✔ Adventurous eaters wanting to try something different ✔ Those who enjoy smoky/charred flavors Final Thoughts: An interesting concept that doesn’t deliver on taste. Much better jok (porridge) options exist in Bangkok without the gimmick.

So I know this is Michelin and world renowned but this dish gave me the ick on several occasions. Sorry I am a porridge girl, but this was a little too smokey for me. It could be because I don’t eat meat and even the plain porridge had a pork aura to it or it could be the milky colour ordained by its pink plastic bowl but this just didn’t sit right with my eyes and my stomach. It was my first time trying a century egg, however. It was pleasant. Maybe my palate is not sophisticated enough. I would still recommend for anyone with a daring side to their taste buds, always good to try something new! As always, recommend for my fellow nut allergy sufferers xx

Found my comfort food in Bangkok! The porridge consistency was thiccccc just the way I like it. Ordered the option with meatballs and all the innards with a creamy century egg. Pity they forgot my fried ‘donut’ fritters (i forgot myself too), the added crunch would have sent me to jok heaven!

This is the second time i ate here.. The 1st time is not up to my liking cause the wok hey or the burn smoke smell to strong because if I'm the one who cook at home i will throw away the porridge cause the spoil the taste. But 2nd time out of sudden I'm craving for it.. This time the taste better it had smokey smell like that very good bbq smell but not bottom pot burn smell.

Was here at midnight, not crowded. Ordered their recommended pork congee with a soft boiled egg and Century egg. It tastes so good. Wondering why they didn't get the Michelin after 2023 ....

Best way to end the night as they close by 3AM, congee tastes mild and smooth texture. All organs do not have bad smells.
