Asian Fried Chicken: A Look at the Different Styles From Taiwan to Thailand | Eater

"A globally expanded Filipino fast-food chain whose fried chicken resembles American-style double-dredged, seasoned pieces but is presented with Filipino twists (including dipping gravies and sweet-savory accompaniments) and is widely available across many U.S. locations." - Matthew Kang

The wait for the Mac and cheese was not worth the wait. They really don't have many vegetarian options, which I didn't really expect from a chicken restaurant. The rice was good until I saw meat in it. 🤢 I only at a quarter of it, I told the cashier I didn't eat meat. She told the spaghetti meat couldn't be removed, but she didn't tell me about the Adobo rice.

Google
Great Crispy Chicken and Hardworking Staff! I recently visited Jollibee, and I have to say their crispy chicken did not disappoint! The coating was perfectly crunchy and the meat was juicy. It’s easy to see why Jollibee is so popular. The staff was incredibly hardworking having to make sure customers were taken care of in that busy atmosphere. That said, the wait time was a bit longer than expected, which is understandable given how packed the place was. The space itself is on the smaller side, and the parking lot can be tight, making it a bit difficult to find a spot. I would love to see them expand in the future to accommodate the growing crowd. Overall, I had a great experience and will definitely be coming back if I’m in the area.

Google
Love Jollibee, but this store wasn’t the best experience. When I asked for spicy chicken , they charge me for spicy ,but gave me all mild ,and there is no hot sauce in the store it was never before. They should have told me when I did order I would order something else, and also we asked for jalapeño sandwich but we received a regular sandwich,I didn’t feel like going to the counter because of the way cashier was as if it’s my fault they gave mild chicken when they already charged for spicy , the lady next to the cashier caught attitude with me. They need to be more kind to paying customers, and there was no one who can take care the problem a manager or team leader or so I don’t think I will go back the food is really good I will go other locations if needed

Google
Went to this Jolibee location for the first time! Enough parking, clean and Lisbeth is awesome in helping me out with my orders! This branch is also easy to find, you can see it right away from the main road! Definitely coming back! Maraming Salamat po Kabayan!

Google
First time at this Jollibee drive-thru, and customer service was disappointing. Unlike the Jersey City branch, there were no “Jolly afternoon what can I get for you?”—just a robotic “anything else?” while taking the order. Staff definitely needs more training; store has a lot of room for improvement. Food wise, a bit overpriced, burger patty was burnt, and they forgot our drinks after making us pull up to wait. Would I come back? Nope.

Google
I love Jollibee, it’s mascot reminds me of “El Chapulin Colorado” I prefer the quality better than the local American Brands such as KFC and Popeyes, they also have interesting sides that American brands don’t. If you like fried chicken this places is a must.

Google
Finally, the best fried chicken after a long time. Tried both original and spicy, and both of them were really really good. Perfect texture, right amount of crust and full of flavors. Definitely worth a try if someone really wants to try a really good fried chicken. 💯

Google
This place treated my husband and I horribly. We spent over 70 dollars here to be treated like we don't exist. When we asked what took them so long, they waved us away from the counter. The lady in the counter is being rude like can't even answer politely like I'm sorry no she wave her hand dismissedly and turn her back to me.never even say sorry for the long 45 minute wait.

Yelp
Wish the location would be a little cleaner and neater. Food came out great and just as expected. We got here a little bit before the lunch rush, so glad that we didn't have to wait as long as some other customers do.

Yelp
This is my 3rd time dining at Jollibee... the 1st time was while visiting Manilla, and the 2nd at American dream. The American dream one was not great, so I had never felt like returning as I assumed that the US version would be very different to Phillipines. However I figured I should give it another shot since the mall food is usually underwhelming, so maybe American dream wasnt a fair representation. I found the chicken here to be decent, but soggy, which basically killed it for me. Comparing to Popeyes, the chicken here is a bit cheaper, and comes with a generous amount of gravy. However the issue is with the packaging... it doesnt let the steam escape. By the time I got home (around 20-30min later), the chicken was really soggy. Maybe its better to eat in the store.

Yelp
Jollibees is a delicious fried chicken spot. My favorite to go for fried chicken! The chicken is always flavorful and juicy. I usually get the spicy chicken. Pairs great with the gravy they give you. Everything is seasoned perfectly. Establishment itself is always clean and sunny inside. Unfortunate that it is located on the side of route with a small parking lot-can get packed sometimes. Overall really great and enjoy coming here regularly.

Yelp
Although I did enjoy my food from here, I did not enjoy the cleanliness of the restaurant. We arrived Friday after work, so it was a bit busy. But we were uncomfortable about the sticky seats and tables. We ended up wiping it down with hand sanitizer. But we did enjoy our meal though

Yelp
I don't eat fried chicken too often but this place is definitely a great spot to eat FRESH fried chicken that doesn't just taste like Lawrys Season salt. This is super crunchy. They serve only dark meat (thighs and legs) It comes in regular or spicy and I loved the flavor with the spicy pieces. The sides are good! I got mash and gravy, which the gravy also doubles as a dipping sauce for the chicken. We did drive-thru so they seem nice. Next time I will try their famous spaghetti ***Do not forget to get the Mango or Peach pie for dessert***

Ed M.

Yelp
Always check your order when picking up! 3rd time Always missing something and no customer service they act like they don't wannabe there! Worst restaurant next time just go to Popeyes next door!!

Yelp
Eating here brought back memories when I ate this in the Philippines 20 years ago. Much more bigger portions now. Super busy location. They do need more love and attention to the place. It was messy but understandable since it was real busy. Heads up...... The spaghetti is sweet and palabok is garlicky. I love it but not many people do. Thanks for bringing back memories. I do wish they had the Jollibee statue. That would've made the whole thing complete.

Yelp
AS GOOD AS ANY LOCATION OUT THERE ---- meaning that the Chickenjoy, Jolly Spaghetti and Peach Mango pie is as good as advertised here as it is anywhere I've ever had it. I was introduced to Jollibee, by my myriad of Filipino friends, when the popular fast food chain opened their very first U.S. East Coast location in Queens, NY in 2009, and, quite frankly, my life has not been the same since! The Chickenjoy is still some of the best fried chicken I've ever had - super crunchy, flavorful, hot and, when dipped into their gravy, oooooohhhh sooo damn good. We dropped in to eat at this Jollibee location on what we thought was going to be a relatively quiet early Thursday evening at 6pm. If you know Jollibee, then YOU KNOW, there is no such thing as a quiet time during peak dining hours any day of the week. Wherever there is a Jollibee, there will be plenty of customers (predominantly Filipino because they truly hold Jollibee near and dear to their fast food hearts). Fortunately for us, we happened to have strolled in just before the kitchen really kicked into high gear as we were the lone diners inside for a whole 3-4 minutes before, I guess, the Jollibee loving world became hungry. At this location, we had ourselves a feast comprised of a 6 piece bucket of Chickenjoy, Jolly Spaghetti, a Bacon and Cheese Chicken Sandwich, Mashed Potatoes, a Peach Mango Pie and a few Pineapple Quenchers. I can pretty much easily sum up all of it in one word -- SUPERB. The only thing I had never tried before was the sandwich and it was good. Great? Not on Popeyes level, but solid. The true star of the show was obviously the Chickenjoy and gravy. And don't forget to grab the refreshing Pineapple Quencher to wash it all down. As for this location, I found it to be on par with the standalone locations I've been to - definitely bigger than the one in Queens, NY. The interior was what i was for a fast food restaurant. It's not going to be Michelin star clean, but it was relatively clean compared to other fast food joints. Undoubtedly, there is a TON of hype behind Jollibee because of the lack of locations here stateside, so it's a lot to live up to for most. There isn't a location every few miles like McDonald's. For me, personally, this is some of the very, very, very BEST fried chicken I've ever had. Popeyes will always be my very fave, but Jollibee is right up there in my book.

Yelp
May '25: Better experience, less people during lunch on a weekday. Restroom smells neutral and moderately clean and spacious.

Yelp
Check review out on YouTube EMOORE FOOD. I ordered a variety of things . The Angus cheese burger the spicy chicken sandwich and the regular 2 piece meal and 2 piece spicy meal which came with side of spaghetti. The customer service was very good and the restaurant was very clean

Yelp
#1 in the world! It's really nice to have that little extra side of gravy to roll that crispy drumstick in the gravy. To be completely honest.... this is probably the best fried chicken I've had in twenty years

Yelp
Years (and the era of COVID lockdowns) have passed since my original review of this location and I am happy to report that since that time dine-in service was opened up and the crowds are no longer backing up to the point where cars are spilling onto the 1-9. Nowadays it is not hard to just pull up, park in the lot and head into the restaurant. The interior has a huge section devoted to the cooking facilities and counter. Towards the back are the bathrooms (but one was not working the day I visited recently). The rest of the space is dedicated to seating which includes two long tables with stool seating and a series of booths. Between my last review and this one the entire Jollibee chain in the United States has had issues with their supply of their spicy chicken flavor. The location near Port Authority regularly sells out before the evening rush hour (much to my chagrin) and apparently this location can also run out around the same time. During my most recent visit I ordered this flavor and seeing an entire tray of it behind the counter I thought I was good to go - until the cashier informed me that the *entire* tray was for a mobile order and that was the *last* of the spicy chicken for the day! It was about 6:30PM at this point so this was extremely disappointing. Now, this was not my proudest moment but up to that point I had a rather stressful day and I was hoping to get some spicy chicken as a bit of a reward for making it through the day. When the cashier told me this I rolled my eyes and let out a big sigh. It was rather dramatic and completely unnecessary on my part. So much to my surprise, when I got my order the cashier told me (with a *smile*) that she had snuck me spicy chicken into my order! I was so shocked I smiled and thanked her. This was very cool of her and I am deeply appreciative. The food at Jollibee is consistently good and I have to give them high marks for service. If you want some seriously good fried chicken (aka Chickenjoy), be sure to visit!

Yelp
The Fam spent the weekend at Great Wolf Lodge MD, on the way back , we had the urge for Jollibees, so I goggled and was one at Edison, we didn't know that, and was 25 min away in the N95, so I placed my order online , when I arrived , the staff did their best to have things ready for me to grab and go, thought was a busy day on Veteran Day. Lots of orders , the food was freshly made , crispy chicken tasty burgers and delicious pies. Its spot for take out , can dine in but limited space. Clean wit fast workers. Thank you JJollibees

Ken H.

Yelp
Had the tenders this time and they are good. They are something that I can come here for. A bout pricey but isn't everyplace. I've been trying to enjoy this brand. I have found the go to item at this establishment,

Zeddarr P.

Yelp
First time customer and purchased fries which wasn't prepared properly in my opinion. Service was quick and nothing too special, couldn't talk much about the atmosphere though because I didn't stay long enough. Until they add more vegan options and improved how they prepare the items, I'll give them a one star for now.

Yelp
Ordered their 6 piece family meal . Got mashed potatoes and their adobe rice. Also ordered their mango pie. The chicken is crispy but falls off the bone. Perfect amount of spice. The gravy is delicious as well. The rice is bland but everything else is super tasty. The pie was also delicious. Will definitely be back!

Yelp
I don't even know where to begin, because our experience at the Jollibee in Edison was beyond frustrating--it was an outright disaster. We came in expecting fast food and left an hour later with cold food, zero accountability from staff, and a whole lot of wasted time and energy. Our order was not large. It was a very standard family-sized meal--something that shouldn't take more than 10 to 15 minutes, tops. But somehow, Jollibee Edison managed to stretch that into a full hour. An hour. Sixty minutes. For fast food. The most enraging part wasn't even the wait--it was the total lack of communication, leadership, or professionalism. We went up to the counter FOUR times asking for an update on our order. Not once--not once--did a manager or even a remotely responsible employee come over to speak to us directly. Every time, we were met with vague excuses: "It's coming out soon," or "It's not in any particular order," or "Just five more minutes." Spoiler alert: it was never five minutes. They repeated this line over and over, clearly hoping we'd just give up and walk away. It became clear that there was no system to how orders were being prepared or handed out. People who ordered after us got their food before we did, while we stood there completely ignored. No accountability. No apology. Just complete chaos behind the counter. And not a single person had the decency to own up to it or even offer a simple explanation for the delay. When we finally got our food--almost an hour after ordering--there was no acknowledgment of the wait, no apology, no compensation, not even eye contact. Just a bag of lukewarm food handed over like we were a burden for asking for what we paid for. Jollibee, you seriously need to reevaluate how this location is being managed. The lack of customer service, the disorganization, the indifference--it was unacceptable on every level. Fast food doesn't mean rushed food, but it certainly shouldn't mean an hour-long wait with no updates, no system, and no respect for your customers. I would not recommend this location to anyone. Unless you're prepared to wait absurdly long for your food while being ignored and gaslit at every turn, skip Jollibee Edison. It's not worth the headache.

Wong G.

Yelp
Slow slow slow. Overpriced fried chickens, decent chicken sandwich, nice pineapple quencher. But still slow, just unbelievably slow.

Shirvana S.

Yelp
The bathrooms were disgusting. Pee all over the floor. Toilet paper everywhere. The trays aren't cleaned in between use that's not sanitary. The gloves were not changed between cleaning and serving food. We asked for the rags to clean the table before we sat down and no one was interested in cleaning the table. Maybe cleanliness isn't there focus but it should be. The food take out was fine but watching all this really does not have me interested in going back.

Yelp
I've waited for the drive through line to die down before stopping by to order my bucket of joy chicken, spaghetti, chicken sandwich, and mango peach pie. Why 2 stars only? The chicken is mediocre at best. Thank goodness for the gravy to give it some flavor. There was no crunch to these dark meat chicken. I'm so disappointed that they don't have breast and wings. I can see why there's a love and hate opinion on their spaghetti. I'm not quite a fan with the sweet spaghetti and chopped hotdog meat but I do know some others who may like it. The chicken is okay. Overall, I must say Popeyes is still better in chicken and chicken sandwiches. Now, I would say their mango peach pie is the best I've tasted. It was served nicely hot and crispy on the outside and flavorful on eat bite! I may have to come back just to order a few of these alone.

Yelp
I'm pissed ordered from Drive thru Palabok family pack , I live 20 mins drive away only to find out that they forgot to give me gravy! So I called and spoke to whoever just to let them know what happened, the person on the phone was very apologetic. He said that he will give me gravy when I come back , so what now? Eat the chicken now then eat the gravy when I go back ?! Isn't that ridiculous! Please please be very mindful on the orders and make sure that you throw everything in the bag. Always double check if the orders are complete.

Yelp
Food is crispy and made to order. Service is great. Ambiance the place is kept clean including the dining area. The dirty rice is so freakin good!

Yelp
This location is currently only offering Pick Up and Drive-Thru orders. We weren't aware and the staff said we can order online for pickup and be allow to sit in the dining room. *never been to Jollibee as never had the chance* Plenty of parking. Dining room was empty as normally they don't allow inside dining because they are not taking indoor orders. No napkins in the dispenser of dining room since there isn't suppose to be dining inside. Be sure to ask for extra napkins. Bathrooms were decent but I wish there was paper towels. It is hand air dryer but I didn't want to touch the door knob before touching the food. We order a 6pc bucket chicken original (they gave us all spicy), large fries, with 2 drinks and a small order of spaghetti. There was a soda fountain in the dining area but doesn't seem to work as they handed us our drinks filled from their kitchen soda fountain to discourage multiple refills and mess. There was an option for extra gravy but the gravy that comes with the chicken is more than enough. Special tip: dip your fries in gravy is delicious! We thought the bucket was mixed and was okay if mixed even though we order original but it was all spicy. We had to get it changed after our friend took 1 spicy. We told them and they gave us a new bucket of 5 pc original chicken and threw out that spicy bucket since we opened it already. My husband can't handle spicy. Large fries was good but seems small, makes you wonder what their small size look like. Wish they gave us plates or something For the chicken because it was messy. We cleaned up the table before and afterward of all the chicken skin crumbs. It was difficult to eat the freshly fried hot chicken without a plate and especially ladling gravy over it. Very delicious! Spaghetti was sweet and unexpected. Love the fries!

Yelp
Awful service. Waited 40 minutes for my food, then finally asked the counter person. She talked to the cashier, and didn't apologize but started assembling the tray. Had to wait another 15 minutes for chicken tenders. During that time, I watched the manager collect a delivery from Domino's and bring it to the back ( I guess the food here is that bad they have to order out) & employees giving free food to their friends. Drive thru was down. Soda machine was not working. Soda from back of counter was flat. DO NOT GO HERE. UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

Yelp
I came here with high hopes to get some great chicken however, I feel like it was very mediocre and undercooked. I was not used to this type of cuisine as the strawberry freeze. I ordered was absolutely disgusting. I can say I didn't go in here with an open mind, but I at least expected some sort of higher standard to my taste buds. I may come here again just to try the other options. I saw they had a burger on the menu so I may try that instead, but as for the chicken, it's a no go for me.

Yelp
Great service got dood in under 10 minutes the food was excellent and the pies were 5 trillion out of 10 better than all fast food places. YUM
google avatar

Alice D.

Yelp
Came here on a Monday evening for dinner and there was only one other group sitting and eating when we got there. The space is what you'd expect most fast food to look like and didn't feel super dirty, but not super clean either. The service was pretty friendly at explaining what the different types of pasta dishes were and were really nice overall, but when I asked for a cup for water, they charged me for a soda. I thought that was weird and also kind of a rip off, but I wasn't really willing to correct him. The food came out pretty quickly and the presentation is honestly one of the better ones I've seen for fast food. We got the combo that comes with chicken, spaghetti, and 3 pastries. Plenty of food for two people and we had a lot of spaghetti left over for the next day as well as one pastry. The chicken was honestly some of the best I've had out of other places that specialize in fried chicken. It was well cooked with its crispness but tender meat. I personally didn't need the gravy with the chicken as I thought it was fine to stand on its own, but it was nice to have as an option. The spaghetti was sweeter than other Filipino spaghetti I've had, but it slowly began to grow on me. This is also the first time I've had it at a restaurant so it was bound to be a more exaggerated version of the dish. The meat I found wasn't super plentiful in the dish, but overall it was still very good. The pastries were pretty delicious - we preferred the mango peach one byfar, but both were tasty and deliciously crispy. Overall, I enjoyed this experience as my first time coming to Jollibee, but the interaction while I was ordering was the only thing off-putting. Thanks regardless, I definitely wouldn't mind coming again!

Yelp
The chickenjoy is really a joy to eat, crunchy and so tasty... I have been craving for chickenjoy for days now and today I had the time to drive here and get some food... ordering was quick and food was ready in a few minutes. Today I tried the Aloha chicken sandwich, it had a sliced pineapple and bacon, no cheese... it's ok but I am not so thrilled. Just my taste... highly recommend this place if you're craving for fried chicken and some palabok or spaghetti, don't forget the pies, their good too
google avatar

Felix N.

Yelp
Very disappointed! Came here to try the chicken it was Rubbery and Raw inside and No Taste at all No Taste at all and oily greasy
google avatar

Jay G.

Yelp
Thee best fried chicken sandwich I have ever had hands down.. I watch some YouTuber read every chicken sandwich out there, named Joshua.. surprisingly, he rated Jollibee as number one. So I went here same day, waited in line, and all I have to say is BELIEVE THE HYPE.
google avatar

Alexis M.

Yelp
Their chicken was so good! Tastes like Popeyes but not as crispy. Their pineapple quencher was entirely too sweet for my taste. Definitely plan to go back to try their spaghetti! I hear great things about it.
google avatar

Yelp
This location needs to improve. We went there and we had to wait for so long to get our food, there's no many customers around. We dined in, we had to get up a couple of times because there were no utensils, and napkins. I took home the peach mango pie and it ended up being raw. You guys need to do better!!
google avatar

Raj S.

Yelp
First timer . I always pass by this place and never went through, looking at the longggg queues. Made up my mind and went today :). As always , there is a long wait time . I had to be in line for atleast 10-12 mins . Got a 6 piece chicken bucket. I have to say , the food was good, especially the magic sauce . If not for the sauce , it just tastes like a Popeyes or kfc. With the sauce , it tastes different and good. Paid about 14$ for a 6 piece. So it's not that cheap .. food wise it was good, but is it worth waiting 15-30 mins in the queue to eat this - may be not ! Wish they can speed up their service and it will then be a super duper place !
google avatar

Jay T.

Yelp
Dear God No. please don't. What a horrible combination of fried chicken, sweet spaghetti, and seafood. I beg of you: DO NOT GO HERE. Fried chicken was soggy, spaghetti shouldn't be sweet like candy, and the mascot is only something that nightmares are made of. Save thyself.

Yelp
For folks that don't know, Jollibee is a Filipino fast food chain. It's good to support Filipino businesses so if you feel like Switching up your fast food place, head to Jollibee. No, as a vegetarian, my options are definitely limited. I only pop in here to get the peach mango pie. It is better than an apple pie for McDonald's as Michele L. mentioned. But my friends have really enjoyed their chicken sandwiches and chicken. The best time to go here is right when they open or mid afternoon. I never had any lines when I went during those times. It can get packed and busy so I could understand people losing their minds, but just be patient and after you eat the peach mangle pie, you'll feel a lot better!
google avatar

Yelp
Excellent spot. 1) Jollibee is my favorite fried chicken spot. I very much enjoy their 3 piece dark meat fried chicken with adobo rice. 2) I highly recommend their peach mango pie. It is very good. 3) Also, this Jollibee is the only one around NJ that is not in an urban setting where it is hard to find parking or inside a giant mall.

Rod L.

Yelp
I went there and talked to the manager about my concerns.. The manager listened and changed my orders to the right orders that I wanted to have. Great job manager... We will support you .. Mga bisaya sa NJ Daghang Salamat

Yelp
The only fast food chain that keeps on giving. A Filipino heart throb string pulling nostalgia in every bite. I can't even hate on this place, food is always a staple to any Filipinos standards. Received food quick and delicious, cooked perfectly. We just got there before rush hour and seated quickly. Pretty clean and really great service. Definitely needs a play place for the kids, since it's a staple family establishment. I'm just happy.... Anywho, ordered Family Meal C and came with 6 pcs Spicy or Regular chicken, Large Palabok, and 3 pies. Got 2 mango peach and tried their coconut pineapple. I'll stick to the mango peach. So happy that they stuck with fried pies Back to what I said, satisfied.

Yelp
The only thing missing is the pancit palabok which is out of stock & we drove all the way from Parsippany to Jersey City altho it was conpensated by the fried chicken so all is good

Yelp
I'll always love Jollibee food. But the execution here of driving in/parking is literally the worst out of all Jollibees. Even worst than the 2 in Manhattan. Listen, I'm in all understanding of low staffing but the associates here have no understanding of hustle and bustle or the urgency of working. My legitimate complaint will be your security/parking guide does not know how to direct drivers properly. It's ridiculous. How on earth are you going to have 2 waiting lines for ONE drive-thru! The far right lane of the establishment should have been directed properly as it is not a drive-thru lane, it's literally a passing thru lane. This isn't chick-fil-a. Like, are you shitting me?
google avatar

Yelp
So delicious! I've been wanting to try for so long. I came around 1:30 and it was moderately busy, it took about 10 minutes to get the food, there was still space available to sit and eat. It's very bright and clean and the people who work there are very friendly. I ordered the two piece spicy chicken joy, I know some people commented that they were soggy so I stayed and ate there to see how they were fresh and they were very crispy! I thought the chicken was delicious, it comes with a side of gravy which I didn't realize so I had ordered a side which I didn't mind because it was delicious. I had the mashed potatoes and gravy as a side, they were meh, again gravy delicious, the potatoes are instant same as most fast food places. Those pies and the pineapple refresher was so amazing. The refresher would definitely be good as a mixer with basically anything I think I may come back and buy a couple just for that reason! I will definitely be back!
google avatar

Joanne H.

Yelp
This location really needs improvement. The wait is ridicously long especially for spicy chicken. It shouldn't take 45 minutes to fry chicken unless nothing was prepped. Management needs to step up.
google avatar

Jean G.

Yelp
This is my ultimate cheatday meal. I go here to order their chickenjoy because I find it least greasy compared to other fastfood. Their gravy is also unique - it is on the mushroom gravy taste side so if you're into that, you will definitely enjoy the pairing. Jolly spaghetti is another staple in my order list just because of it's sweet taste. The serving is generous so getting spaghetti with 2pc chicken will definitely cure your cheatday / cravings. Not pictured here is the Spicy chicken deluxe sandwich because I finished it on the way back home but please do yourself a favor and order one of those. I highly recommend. Oh and you must not leave the store without ordering the Peach Mango pie. Personally I like eating it cold so I put in the fridge first before eating. Enjoy!

Yelp
Jollibee - the Philippines sensation - has at long last made its way to New Jersey. I visited the Edison restaurant at around 6 PM on a Sunday evening. The drive-through was jam packed. There were two lanes of traffic. It took 15 minutes to move but two car lengths. The total wait time from entry to exit was about 40 minutes. That's a lot of time to be idling and killing the environment. Oh, the food itself was hot and tasty, but this experience lost major points by the virtue of the restaurant being understaffed and inefficient. The bottleneck appears to be a lack of food preparers inside the restaurant - there was a cashier, a worker on the fryers and a manager putting together orders. I'm sure that this skeleton staff would appreciate some additional help too! Finally - the indoor dining room is closed. The drive-through is the only game in town - and it's not a very fun game at that.

Yelp
Let's get straight to the point, I've had better fried chicken. The chicken here is crunchy, but lacks much flavor outside of the gravy, which was waxy tasting to me (too long in the container?). The mango peach pie was a delicious filling but the outer crust was greasy and didn't fit well, if it has been light and flaky it would've been perfectly suited for the filling. Inside it was heavy and oily and over sweet. Cute little red flags on the spicy chicken, though.

Yelp
What if I told you the highlight of a fast food joint was the spaghetti? Well that's the case at Jollibee and it's not a bad thing! I'd been wanting to try this place for a while but the line has always been out on the highway and I'd prefer my chickenjoy without a side of fender bender :/ Stopping in on a weekday evening eliminates the traffic problem. I was a bit disappointed to find out they only sell legs and thighs - I'm a breast gal all the way - but I decided on the 'ghetti, 6pc tender (I wasn't clear on the portion sizes dang) and a peach mango pie. I did not like the $18 price tag but yolo or whatevs. The spaghetti was fantastic. Everyone "warned" it was sweet but like that's how I make my own spaghetti so I was cool with that. The tenders had almost like a cereal texture crust - I do wish they were seasoned differently (at all?) and the bbq sauce had an aftertaste I can't quite place. I enjoyed the peach mango pie bc it seems like there's a dwindling number of places you can get a legit fried fruit pie (thank goodness for kfc and popeyes). To be honest, I'd be OK never eating a chicken product again from Jollibee. I WOULD however go out of my way for the spaghetti. I know right???

Yelp
This Jollibee hit home for me. ChickenJoy and Jollibee Spaghetti tasted like I was back in motherland. I should've bought the rice too but I was afraid of sinking into food coma during our trip.

Yelp
I'm such a fan of jollibee and when I have my peach mango pie craving, I'm willing to drive all the way from Brooklyn into Jersey to get it. Due to the pandemic, there's no indoor dining and you'll always have to wait on line in the drive through to order take out. You might even have to circle around the US-1 a few times to make it into the drive thru, but I assure you it's all worth it. If you really don't want to wait, you can order them through DoorDash but the price are inflated and the deals are usually not in there. As you go through the drive thru be on the lookout for their deals that they post. It varies, sometimes family bundles come with peach mango pies and sides with the delicious succulent chicken; sometimes they have other bucket deals. After coming here for so many times, they finally have the spicy chicken sandwich. I have to say tho, this one I am a bit disappointed. Popeyes still holds the best spicy chicken sandwich, but jollibee won my heart with its succulent crispy flavorful chicken and the peach mango pies. The gravy is always an added bonus.
