Where to Eat Houston’s Best Fried Chicken | Eater Houston

"The original Houston location of this cult-favorite Filipino chain, near Reliant Stadium and the Astrodome, has been serving up ultra-crispy fried bird since 2013. Jolibee’s signature dish is the Chickenjoy, a bucket of juicy chicken seasoned with a host of secret spices, then breaded and fried to crispy perfection and served with adobo rice." - Brittany Britto Garley

For us (me and my wife), this place is way overhyped. First, when placing our order, we were told that there was a wait on the food, so we were asked to pull around into any parking spot. Okay, great, that means that it's going to be fresh. ABSOLUTELY NOT! Everything was lukewarm except for the chicken, which was actually cold, and the peach pie, which we ate immediately. We ordered spicy chicken, hence the little flags, but there was no spice at all to us. The spaghetti was the best thing about this meal. Only because it's so different from what we're used to it actually makes us want more of it. Overall, it's a no for us as far as going back, and if we do, it'll only be for the spaghetti.

We stopped for a late lunch at Jollibee after a long morning at the Houston Museum of Natural History. Jollibee is the largest fast-food restaurant in the Philippines and is known for its fried chicken. This location is in the Pinoy Corner shopping center. It was busy when we got there, but the order line moved quickly. My wife ordered the 2-piece Chickenjoy Combo with Palabok Fiesta. She asked for two legs, one regular and one spicy, and we were told it would be a 15-minute wait. When the food came out, she got a leg and a thigh. The order was quickly corrected. The chicken was good, but we liked the regular over the spicy. My wife did not like the palabok, because it had too much of a fishy taste, which is not what she is used to. The manager replaced it with an order of Jolly Spaghetti, which was fine. We were happy that they made the effort to replace the palabok. I got the Bacon and Cheese Chicken Sandwich Combo with Fries and a Drink. It was a good chicken sandwich, and I would get it again. The fries were okay. If you are looking for an alternative to the traditional fast-food restaurants, give Jollibee a try. I recommend that you go with the chicken as a safe bet.

Google
First time trying Jollibee. Staff were all attentive and very quick to take orders. Our food came out in a nice timely manner. The chicken, Mac & cheese, and mashed potatoes + gravy were all delicious!! The chicken was super juicy and the skin was nice and crunchy. Will definitely be getting these again! The spaghetti was meh. I probably wouldn’t recommend this one. I do wish they had a location on the north side of Houston as it’s a little inconvenient to drive all the way to the South side. Overall my experience was great and I look forward to returning for a quick bite to eat 😊

Google
Chicken, palabok, fries, and rice, all bringing back memories of home in the Philippines! We went around 7pm so it was peak hour, with a long line and were asked if we’re willing to wait for an hour for order because there was only one cashier. Good thing our order came in 20 mins. We spoke all the Tagalog we want in this place and felt less homesick after!

Google
It was pretty good here , 1st time. The chicken was really good. The spicy had a great heat , but they don't carry ranch for the tenders, only 2 sauces, BBQ and the house sauce. Mac and cheese was good, the spaghetti wasn't bad at all. It's a sweet ND spicy kind. The biscuit was kinda hard , had to tell them to switch it out. The service was fine, but they didn't understand me. But eventually they got it

Google
I’ve heard about this place a lot online so I thought I would try it. Although I did like their frying method I felt the chicken and mashed potatoes were not seasoned well. The biscuit was as hard as a rock, even if you put honey on it. The only thing I did like food wise was their peach & mango 🥭 pie. The staff themselves were very quick and efficient. The place is big has plenty of seating, (I did see a homeless man and there was an obnoxious group of teenagers behind me using foul language - I think it may be the area).

Google
Super tasty and fresh. I just wish there were more comfortable seating. The spicy 2pc chicken is the best when dipped in gravy. I really like the new spicy seasoning they use. It tastes like actual chili peppers and is actually spicy. The crispy batter is just right and hits the spot especially when you eat it fresh

Google
I visited Jollibee on Main street close to NRG stadium. The chicken is tasty, good sizes but they don't offer other choices like salad or french fríes. I don't like gravy sauce, i got 2 big containers of it, since I bought chicken buckets. When I asked to change for another choice. The staff said NO, the chicken comes with it. I tried it, tastes regular, but not a fan of it. I suggest to add other choices instead of offering just gravy. Another thing, they need to wipe the tables, I had to wait for my order and the table was dirty. Even for some time nobody was siting there.

Yelp
Jollibee = jolly me! This was my 2nd time picking up Jollibee from here in the past 3 years. They aren't close enough to me which is a good thing but I was craving. Did a drive thru order on a Sunday afternoon and the parking lot was packed. Full of lolas, lolos, titas and titos all enjoying chicken joy. Picked up the 6 piece spicy chicken joy meal with adobo rice (+$1.50), mashed potatoes and 2 pineapple quencher drinks (+50 cents each). Also ordered a jolly spaghetti. Of course they include a container of their famous gravy. Also ordered a peach mango pie to try. Have heard good things. Got home and the food was still piping hot. The 6 piece combo is 3 legs and 3 thighs. The skin is so crispy. And the spicy is spicy. Not overly spiced up for me but just enough. The adobo rice was so good. Garlicky and packed full of flavor. Their mashed potatoes are nice and fluffy. I just can't help but like their spaghetti. Filipino spaghetti sauce is slightly more sweet topped with cheese and slices of hot dogs. Sounds weird but works well together. Pineapple quenchers, enough said. I love this drink. Now to the peach mango pie, after the first bite, I understood the hype. This is one of those "I am craving" items so I don't go often but if there was one close by, I'd be a regular. I think their fried chicken is one of the best. Crispy and spicy. And juicy. Def will return.

Yelp
Told to wait for a table of 3 and 4 different parties who arrived after us sat immediately. They were not told to wait or get up for the people who had been waiting 10+ minutes. This place has been around a long time and I am very confused how they've managed to stay in business so long. Family owned and run. The family needs training. We were there for 1.5 hours and did not get one refill on any drinks. I had to steal my child's water as no servers make eye contact or check on their tables. Were not checked on at all. Something one notices especially being in the industry for 20 years. Had to have one plate nuked as it arrived very cold. The potatoes taste very frozen (frostbite). If the food were sensational, I would understand the business surviving so long. But the service is dog poo and so is the food. This place really really sucks in every single way.

Yelp
I kept seeing this on IG and I know it's pretty popular in other cities. I was excited to see that they had one here. I may have gone too early. I ended up going 3x total and each time no yum burger. I really wanted to try that, simply because of the name. lol I did have the fiesta. It was pretty good. The chicken and chicken tenders were really good. Fries were always hot. And the mash and gravy is good. I feel like this is perfect hangover food or food to recover from the weekend. I ordered a drink on accident because it came with the combo and I am not a big juice fan, but the mango pineapple drink was really good I may try it again because they have chicken sandwiches now. Which look promising. And maybe I can get a yum burger.

Yelp
Stopped into Jollibee a second time and it was a much better experience. They had everything on the menu so we got to try some new stuff. The service was good too. The peach mango pie was really amazing. The burger steak was good too. Everything else was as normal - delicious. The fries were even McDonald's quality. Overall, for a fast food chain, Jollibee continues to impress me with their food. This franchise location is nice, clean, pretty busy, and gets your food out quick. No complaints!

Yelp
I love jollibee and so glad Houston has 3 locations now. Today I ordered my norm chicken joy with spaghetti and a side of rice. The quality the rice was tasting like the cheap rice that a microwaveable rice tastes better. The workers are also snooty and don't treat customers friendly which unheard for filipino culture. Need to find another jollibee location.

Yelp
This is a spot you do not want to miss for a fried chicken lover. When you drive by it is easy to miss depending on which side you're coming from, but just circle around. They're next to a bakery. When you enter the space it is very clean. Everyone is working at an incredibly fast pace to get orders out and it smells wonderful. No smell of old oil. As for the drive thru. We love how quick it is to just call and place an order. we get the bucket of hot chicken. They are spicy like their name, but not in an obnoxious way. The flavors permeate and the chicken is seasoned throughout not just the skin. The batter is light, crispy and also flavorful. The chicke remains juicy without being oily. We moved away from this area recently and miss it. If we ever come near by we will definitely buy a bucket.

Yelp
When we went to Jollibee's, they said they were out of the spicy chicken. Jollibee is always super consistent. I love the breading! Service was fast and friendly. Inside the store is clean.

Yelp
I'm on a two star roll which really is unfortunate cause I love good food! I was all too excited to pull up on Jollibee after visiting my dad in the hospital. The lady took my order and I'ma describe her because y'all need to keep her in the back and not dealing with customers (AA and plus size). I'm in the drive thru and I inadvertently ordered the chickenjoy 1 side and a drink for $9.49. I wanted fries but she said they didn't have any bags so I went with mashed potatoes. I then said hey I thought that came with a dessert. She said that's the meal deal. What kind of dessert do you want. I chose the peach mango pie. I then asked her how much was the palabok without the drink? She said 5.99 (spoiler alert, it's not). So I said I'll take an order of that, never had it before. I get to the window and my total seemed rather high but I paid with a male and waited to see my receipt. Why I see this chickenhead charged me for a palabok WITH drink, the meal without the pie, and $3 for the pie. Any DT worker with common sense would have switched me to the $10 meal with the pie. She told me she isn't typically on a register and got the palabok price wrong, it's really 7.49 for just the entree. I was like this doesn't make sense, you're overcharging me ringing up all this stuff separately even if it's not 5.99. She leaning all out the DT window huffing and puffing and rolling her eyes cause she presumed I didn't comprehend the idiotic reasoning she was giving me for my total. I decided not to match her energy, I said I'm just trying to tell you this doesn't make sense. She gets a female manager which figures out the chickenhead's mistakes and refunds me $3. It took her way too long to do this as a mgr but she finally got it. Now the spicy chicken was good, could have been fried harder. The pie which I had to wait even longer after that fiasco was way too damn hot even 30 minutes later. And I didn't like anything but the crust. And that palabok NO maaaaa'am get somebody else to eat it, I wasted my $7.50 cause it was nasty. Super shrimpy tasting with no shrimp in sight and just wasn't good at all. The chicken wasn't worth the drama, that's all I know! And respectfully, that pineapple juice they calling a quencher isn't worth an up-charge. Not likely to return.

Yelp
The chicken was super crunchy and delicious, the gravy was a nice complement. The spaghetti was a little too sweet for me but overall the food was pretty solid. Customer service wasn't bad, we stopped in about an hour or two before close so it was busy and the food was fresh. The lobby wasn't the cleanest and the bathroom had no soap dispenser but it was clean.

Yelp
HOUSTON, TX / FILIPINO FAST FOOD / 04-08-22 / TAKEOUT DINNER -The spicy chicken batter was undercooked and doughy. -The chicken tenders were over-fried and old. -The french fries were old and cold. You gotta come when there is a mad rush, and lots of food turnover.

Yelp
My family and I grew up in the Bay Area where Filipino restaurants were everywhere. Jollibee was one of them. So I have a pretty good idea what the flavors are expected to be like. This place is a pretty decent inside. The parking lot is pretty small because it's a small plaza. Staff were friendly and service was good. The chicken was crispy, juicy and seasoned the Jollibee way. BUT the gravy was not what it used to be and definitely not what I'm used to it tasting like. I don't know exactly what it is-- but it seems watered down and not as flavorful (not seasoned as it should be-- saltiness-wise). It just didn't hit like it usually does. I've also had their spaghetti (usual Filipino sweet spaghetti), burger-steak and rice here and they're pretty good. Other than that-- it's all good. Please bring back the original goodness of that gravy.

Yelp
3.5 stars.. First time trying this location, it wasn't too busy when I came in on a normal Thursday evening at 8ish, but they were already out of Spicy and only had the original.. Darn. Went with the Chicken joy combo with the peach mango pie. The chicken was juicy, although not that crispy nor special to me, the gravy + the adobo rice was good. (I could definitely see myself getting addicted to that gravy if I'm not too careful). The pie crust was also very crisp and delicious, the filling was a little too sweet though. Overall, a little pricey on the fast-food scale but overall it was a decent first-time experience. would definitely want to try the Palabok or the chicken sandwich next time

Yelp
Jollibee has the best chicken. At least, I think. The store was clean. The service is awesome. Our cashier, Julian, was nice and very helpful when we were placing our order. We got our order quickly. We got a 12 PC chicken, I got for my side, some spaghetti, and for desert a pineapple coconut pie. All of it was hot and tasted delicious. They gave us 2 big cups of gravy for the chicken. It was awesome. Philippines spaghetti is the best. I highly recommend it. If you have not eaten at Jollibee before, I highly recommend trying this Filipino fried chicken place. You will love it.

Yelp
Jollibee has always been my all time favorite, but we can't deny the fact that the menu has changed in the last years. Pleaase please bring back the jolly hotdog and the sundae. Nonetheless, its still my all time favorite. This location is our go to whenever we're in Houston. The staff are very friendly, place is clean. They are famous for their crispy chicken joy, but definitely try their sweet and savory spaghetti and the palabok. My tastebuds is used to the peach mango pie, still really good, but oh myy ... their coconut pineapple pie is to die for... super crispy on the outside and warm and flavorful on the inside that's not too sweet. Also on a side note, I love going to this location because they have an amazing bakery next door -- the baker's son Valerios

Yelp
Been coming here for years when they finally opened in Houston. Their fried chicken and gravy are great... noticed that they changed the recipe a bit when they became popular as the bed fried chicken in the US. It has a bit more batter and seem to fry it a bit longer to make it crispy. It has a different recipe from the Philippine version where they originated. Price has recently gone up... probably due to inflation. They have new menus/bundles now too. Ordered the 6 piece chicken bucket with palabok (noodles with shrimp & pork with sliced boiled eggs on top) and peach mango pies. The wait was long... about 40 minutes. Manager mentioned that 2 of the fryers broke down. Will remember to order via the app next time to minimize the wait time. Place is clean. Staff was ok... no bad experience. Was just ordering to go.

Yelp
Came here with the family. We don't have a Jollibees in Bryan College Station so whenever we come to this side of town, we stop by for some food. We normally always get the yumburgers, fried chicken, and spaghetti. I don't know if something changed, but I remember the yumburgers being super delicious, but not it's like an ok burger meeeh. The spaghetti is still delicious. The fried chicken surprisingly tasted ok too, it's normally more flavorful or salty. I remember smashing the skin, but these chickens were pretty bland to where you had to rely on the gravy. Overall, just pricey nowadays. The parking lot is huge and shared with other establishments. Staff are friendly. The store has a lot of tables and chairs, but it can get busy fast. Service takes a little long. I don't know if it's because they don't have enough staff. Store is pretty clean too for a fast food joint.

Yelp
My older bro raved about Jollibee's fried chicken. So, we had to check this spot out. We ordered their spicy fried chicken, as well as their pies, as takeout for dinner. The spicy fried chicken was definitely seasoned well and crispy. It was spicy too. Now, the pies were a different story. The mango peach pies were crispy on the outside, but not flaky like I expected them to be. The inside was kind of doughy. Flavorwise, I didn't taste any mango at all, but all I tasted was canned peaches. It wasn't bad. It was quite nostalgic, really, from my high school days. But, it wasn't mind blowing. My lil bro and mom thought the pineapple coconut pie was just alright too. Overall, I think we'd give this place a 3.5 stars. The fried chicken here was definitely worth returning for.

Yelp
So the sad thing is, there are only 2 in the "Houston" area, they are like the McDonalds of the Philippines. I love their spaghetti (Sweet sauce) and 2 or 3 piece spicy chicken, it's a good compliment to each other. I do not come here enough but I will and when I visit the PI, it's a mainstay.

Yelp
The food has always been a favorite of mine! I love the spicy chicken, love the hamburgers, and I love the pies! Truly love it and I genuinely will come get Jollibee despite the drive and how overpriced it is in the States. I would suggest to look at the deals and offers to save money. The service to pick-up the food has always been simple, but I will admit that sometimes ordering through drive-thru and at the cashier register they do occasionally get the order wrong, but not always! It's a hit or miss honestly. There was a time where the pick-up order was wrong and there was misunderstanding on both parts. I wrote an email to the business since about $30 of food was missing and I got a call from the business within the same day! They called to apologize and ask if I want a refund or come back another day to pick up the missing food and was given extra food as an apology! I went back a few days later to receive the food and the supervisor, Sonia, was very understanding! Thankful for her patience! I did see some displeased or frowning faces from some of the cooks directly at us, but I'm not sure if it was directed to the situation since it was a lot of food and money missing from the first order or was it intentionally directed at us. Regardless, the supervisor was understanding and I understand that it's the end of the shift and dealing with wrong orders from the week prior is especially annoying! Just grateful that I received a call about the order and received compensation as an apology. The ambiance is just like another fast-food restaurant, but representing Filipino culture and foods! Surrounding area is full of Filipino treats!! Lots of Filipinos go, but many other ethnicities too! Filipino food is inclusive!! All people are welcome, but I would ask in advance if there's any halal dishes or vegan friendly dishes!

Yelp
Would personally only recommend the chicken and peach mango pie. I love Jollibee purely for the food. The service and vibes are always mediocre, but man does the crunchiness of the chicken really get to you. The chicken is also so juicy which compliments the crisp of the chicken skin. I recommend dipping the chicken into the gravy because I think it takes the flavor profile to a different level. There's a lot of hype for the Palabok but I personally wasn't a really big fan. I thought it tasted very plain and even a little microwaved. The only thing outside of the chicken that I really enjoy are the Peach Mango Pies. Think Mcdonald's apple pies but better because I personally enjoy peach and mango flavors more!

Yelp
Food is really good and I always get it hot and fresh. Staff is always nice and gets my order correct. No complaints

Yelp
Want a stomach ache and gravy? Eat at Jollibees. Where the staff comes across as mildly racist, in a Filipino fried chicken establishment at that. I remember walking in and waiting and leaving. Months later I tried a different location. Less bias. Stomach hurt for days.

Yelp
Good chicken, but way too expensive. The counterstaff were very helpful. The Pineapple Mango Handpie was delicious. I would go to just for those. .Nice decor.

Yelp
One of the best fried chicken spots in Houston, but the other dishes are a little underwhelming. Good: - Delicious savory fried chicken 5/5. Chicken is always moist and thoroughly cooked. Skin is crispy with just the right amount of breading. Original flavor is particularly tasty, spicy flavor if you want a little hot sauce-esque heat. Brown sauce is a good companion though I'm not a huge fan of it. - Spaghetti is decent 3.5/5, on the sweet side, and it's unique that they use slices of hotdog rather than meat. It may appeal to certain people. - Chicken sandwich is good 4/5 - crispy and tender, with a decent mayonnaise-based sauce, but a little pricey. - Pineapple mango drink is really refreshing 4/5. Don't come here too often! - Staff here are always friendly and food comes out fresh, the chicken is always crispy. Not so good: - The other dishes are fairly unremarkable. The hamburger steak and its combos are just alright. The mango pie was underwhelming and smaller than I would've thought. Overall impression: The fried chicken here is really good, whereas the supporting cast is pretty average (at least it's not bad). Score: Food 4/5 Service 4/5 Value 4/5 Overall 4/5 Consistency 5/5 Visits: at least 20 times in the last 3 years. Thanks for reading my review. I hope you found it helpful!

Yelp
Placed an order at 7:30, still waiting for it at 8:06 with no updates! Lots of people standing around waiting, so it isn't just me. This place needs new management.

Yelp
Jollibee undeniably boasts a legendary fried chicken that has earned it a well-deserved reputation. Alongside this culinary gem, their diverse selection of Filipino dishes is truly impressive. However, it's worth noting that their pricing tends to be somewhat higher compared to fast-food chains like Popeyes or Church's Chicken. To potentially attract a broader range of customers seeking budget-friendly options, it might be beneficial for Jollibee to consider introducing value meal options. This would not only cater to those looking for affordable dining but also enhance the overall appeal of their menu.

Yelp
CHICKEN KILL JOY! I have to return/refund the Chicken Joy bucket I bought yesterday. It does not taste near the Chicken Joy I know and was proud of. I replaced it with 2 yumburgers (since I was hungry) and to my surprise, it does not taste like Jollibee either. I brought home an Aloha, Spag and Palabok, for my wife. The Aloha was dry and like the yumbuger, does not taste like it used to. The Spag was anemic! Pinoys will know what I mean. Palabok was ok. I WANT MY OLD JOLLIBEE BACK!!! The taste we grew up with and was proud of. We take pride of bringing them to work for coworkers to experience. Pinoys, dont pay extra for regular fried chicken and burgers. We all agree to pay premium for a piece of home. If it does not taste like Jollibee, send it back. I hope Jollibee is listening.

Yelp
i was really excited to find out the hotel i was staying at was close to jolibee. the fried chicken tastes average. i can't get over the quality of the chicken, it's really bland and fatty. the gravy is the best part, it's SO delicious. i also like the adobo rice. i'm not sure if i'd ever go back. i'd rather go to gus' fried chicken down the street.

Johnny W.

Yelp
This was my second time trying Jollibee but the first at this location. We were in town for an event and the restaurant wasn't far from our hotel. We arrived shortly after opening time and placed an order. I ordered spicy chicken with fries and a peach mango pie. Even after fifteen minutes of receiving the order, the food was still hot. This was the juiciest fast food chicken I've ever had..seasoned perfectly and spicier than I expected but not overpowering. The fries were hot but bland. The mango peach pie was just okay for me. After seeing the social media buzz about, I expected better flavor. Anyway, I will have the chicken again when I'm near Jollibee.

Yelp
May 2023 We got our orders right away. Yum burger tasted awesome. It's hard to find a parking spot. Right next to Red Ribbon, Valerio's Bakery and Max Restaurant...

Yelp
I was pleasantly surprised with Jollibee. It was my first visit. The chicken sandwich was juicy and very tasty. I wish there were one near our house. I look forward to a next visit and would definitely recommend.

Yelp
Made us wait 10 minutes for a few burgers, bad service, long wait JUST to order, Then limited our options.

Yelp
Jollibee Houston definitely doesn't serve a whole like one that you would visit in Cali. A little sad about that but I get it, kinda. There is a drive thru available for those that prefer to not leave their car or are hungry and have screaming kids they don't want to take inside. My least favorite is spaghetti. Even though I'm Filipino and I'll eat anything, I wouldn't order Filipino spaghetti anywhere. Of course if you haven't had it then it's worth one order. I don't like the sweetness of it period. I ordered it via doordash so that my husband could try it. He didn't like it either. Palabok is one of my favorite noodle dishes in general and it is decent here. Sorry, my tita makes it better but then again can't beat home cooking! Or can you!?!? Hmmm. Now I do love their chicken and I also love that it's dark meat and that I get a bucket with a lot of legs!! That's my favorite. Plus eating chicken with rice is a must! Adobo rice is bomb! Even my 2 year old was eating it all up. So sad I didn't get more of this. I thought Halo Halo was on the menu here when it opened but I don't see it anymore. But the peach mango pie is tasty. Like addictive tasty, can't just have one! This is definitely a must have to order. There are a lot of tables available to sit and eat and I have never had trouble finding parking when I come here but I think I usually come during the weekday during lunch.

Yelp
Got the crispy chicken sandwich and was very disappointed. Had heard great things about their fried chicken, that it was flavorful and juicy, but the chicken breast I got was very dry and tough, tasted very old and lacked flavor. Got their special item, the coconut pineapple pie and it was okay, crust was dry and the filling was very sweet.

Yelp
Omg this food was so delicious! It was my first time trying Jollibee, and definitely not my last. Everything was so fresh, and the chicken was piping hot. I ordered a two piece chicken(one spicy and one originsl, mashed potatoes and a peach mango pie. Omg!! I LOVED the flavor of the potatoes! Will be back soon.

Yelp
The customer service at this location was very nice. Their menu board in the drive-through is broken so it was too difficult for me to order that way, so I parked and went in. The person working the counter was nice. I was disappointed because I've only ever gone to Jollibee in California and they had a lot more on their menu. I was hoping for a banana smoothie, but they did have fresh pies and that was good. The chicken sandwich was good as well, I asked for extra sauce and it came out perfect. I don't think I'd seek this out on my own again though.

Yelp
I got the spaghetti and 1 pc fried chicken combo, and it was a good amount of food. The spaghetti is always delicious with the little bits of sweet sausage, tomato sauce and cheese. I chose the spicy fried drumstick and was surprised at how spicy it was. The marinade penetrated into the meat really well, and it has the chili pepper kick that makes your tongue tingle a little. The heat doesn't build but is there. They don't have breakfast items anymore.

Yelp
They're spicy chicken is !! Never thought I'd be dipping fried chicken in gravy but sheesh it works. The prices are very reasonable and the service is quick and friendly. I'll be back for sure. Maybe next time try a different side.

Yelp
This was my first time trying Jollibee and I left very satisfied. The customer service I received was top-notch and received help with what to order. The ambiance was what you expect a regular fast food setting place to be. I tried out a two piece chickenjoy with one side. The spicy chicken was actually spicy! It had an amazing kick and was very savory. The original chicken was one of the best fast food fried chicken I've tried. Now, I've never had philippeno spaghetti and didn't know what to expect. The Jolly spaghetti was very different from what I've had definitely had a little bit of sweetness but overall very savory. The drinks were all so delicious!!! The mango pineapple was so refreshing along with the pineapple! Overall, I recommend anyone who wants good fried chicken to give Jollibee a try!

Yelp
While it's true that not all Jollibee's are created equal, I've rarely met one that I've not liked. This location near the Med Center is in a pseudo Filipino corner, surrounded by heavy hitters from the motherland, such as Max's and Red Ribbon (#1ab) but this is easily the most popular of the three. Save for the awkward drive thru (#2), this Jollibee is way bigger than it looks. The interior is spacious enough to have 60 people in their main dining room. The feel is definitely on the newer side despite the fact that has been here for a good while. It's clean, family friendly, and the bathrooms get a thumbs up for the cleanliness. When it comes to the food, it's all about the chicken joy. The juiciness is part of the charm despite being incredibly oily. At $21 for a bucket of 10, it still feels affordable compared to other fast food fried chicken joints. Their chicken strips are also fairly tasty despite having far less meat than the pieces with bones. For fans of their infamous spaghetti, the banana ketchup seems a little more tart than usual. It is undoubtedly sweet but very hearty and is usually subject to a good deal. Throw in an ube or a mango pie, and the meal is complete. They don't have spam anything and I've yet to try their burgers. A lot of folks seem timid of eating inside because of the homeless person who hangs out front. He's not bothering anyone. In fact the last two times I was here, he too was indulging in the chicken joy. _____________ (#1a) Max's: https://www.yelp.com/biz/maxs-restaurant-houston-4 (#1b) Red Ribbon: https://www.yelp.com/biz/red-ribbon-houston (#2) Which was not meant to have more than 3-4 cars at a time.

Yelp
Food is good but won't be returning to this location . After patiently waiting and watching as everyone that came after me left with their orders before me. (I only had 6 pieces of chicken). Then as you try to ask someone for help I'm ignored like I'm bothering someone trying to understand why it took over 20 minutes for my order as everyone else ordered again after me some with larger orders and more items and left with their orders before me. Won't be returning service is big to me since I'm in the service industry.

Yelp
My friend took me to Jollibee for the first time and I liked how cute the design of the store was. I ordered the spicy fried chicken with spaghetti and was surprised to find it was sweet and came with mini sausages. It was a different taste and a nice change but was still slightly too sweet for me. The fried chicken did have a kick but the flavor seemed to be lacking. I also tried the peach mango pie which was amazing with the crispy pastry and warm gooey filling. Would recommend as an alternative if you are looking for new fried chicken options!

Yelp
Great service, delicious chicken and sides, but I'd avoid the spaghetti since it lacks nuance.

Yelp
I've been meaning to try Jolibee for years given it's renowned popularity in the Philippines. While in the med center, the opportunity arose when I found myself craving some fried chicken and Jolibee was nearby!. The drive through line was short as it was past lunch time. I went with spicy Chicken Joy and fries, as well as a peach mango pie. The chicken and fries were both hot and crispy! Both had a great crunch to them. The chicken pieces were of good size, and the spicy kick was notable yet not overpowering. I even used the little container of gravy for my chicken and fries, which added a fun dimension. It was pretty dang tasty! The mango peach pie was deep fried fruity deliciousness! I highly recommend it to finish off your meal if you've saved room. There's just something so magical about a warm fried pie. The next visit I ordered a spicy chicken sandwich. It was okay. Unfortunately the chicken patty was room temperature. Probably would have been much tastier had it been hot! However, I would still return and try more of the menu.

Yelp
We had this overseas where I used to live. And it was very popular among the Filipino crowd. My kid wanted some because Bella Poarch keeps going there in her TikTok videos. Spaghettis is slightly sweet and has slices of what look like hot dogs in it. If you order original chicken you'll probably have to wait a good 15 minutes like I had to, because all they got is spicy ready. I think it sells better. Actually the spaghetti came out cold because of the wait I think. There's a drive thru. Location a bit difficult to navigate. There is another Filipino fast food place in the same plaza and also what looks like an Asian grocery store. On a Saturday night it wasn't too crowded. Most folks taking to go. Gravy comes with the bucket and has a slight kick. I liked it. Mango pie was ok. Crunchy shell which was nice. I gave it an extra star for the sake of nostalgia.

Yelp
I gave this location a 3 stars last time because of the slow service & workers not being that friendly. This time around it has improved so for that I added another star. Here's what we ordered. -2 piece chicken (spicy) joy with rice & gravy~ this is what I come for, their spicy chicken joy is on point & nicely seasoned. -2 piece chicken (regular) joy with mash potatoes & gravy~ the regular taste good but I like mine to have a kick to it. Mash potatoes taste fine, a step above KFC & Church's. - Palabok fiesta~ it smells good but taste extremely odd & not good at all. - Ube pie~ came out of the fryer piping hot, it taste so good & not too sweet to the point where I'm like no more. - Peach mango pie~ probably one of my favorite pies ever, just mouthgasm with mango & peach on the inside. The crust is just like Whataburger apple pie, it was flaky & has a nice crisp to it. Overall, the place has gotten better since I reviewed this place two years ago, I'll definitely be back.

Yelp
Been wanting to try Jollibee's for a while now. We ordered almost everything on the menu to try it out. We ordered the spicy chicken. It was GREAT. really truly spicy unlike most places that claim spicy in Houston. I can tell the chicken is brined which means it has flavor and tender to the bone. The spaghetti reminds me of my child hood. Kids would love it. My family really liked the peach mango pie; typical fast food pie but a unique combo of peach and mango (native taste of the Philippines).
