To Filipinos, Jollibee Isn’t Just Fast Food—It's a Destination - AFAR

Best Fast-Food Fried Chicken in America: The Bracket | Eater

"The chain’s signature bone-in offering, Chickenjoy, is lauded for a tectonically crunchy skin that can pleasantly slide off in sheets and very moist, flavorful meat that even picky kids devour. Its distinctive, gelatinous gravy is sweet-forward and unremarkable on its own but transforms each bite when slathered on the chicken, brightening and deepening the flavor; the chicken also holds up well after transport, making it a convenient family staple." - Eater Staff

Spaghetti 🍝 and a diet Pepsi was over $11 after tax. Self-serve Pepsi fountain drinks. Counter staff was friendly and happy. There were probably 20 people in there and on the patio eating at 11:30 am. Spaghetti or the little hotdog slices have a smokey BBQ-like flavor. Sweet and tasty.

As a Filipino who drove over nine hours specifically to dine at this establishment, I was truly disappointed with the experience. We arrived around 9:25 PM, well before the posted closing time of 10:00 PM, only to find that many of the menu items we looked forward to were already unavailable. If a business advertises that it is open until 10 PM, customers should reasonably expect that food will still be available until then. To make matters worse, the staff began turning off the dining lights five minutes before closing, despite the fact that we were still inside and finishing our meal. This behavior felt unwelcoming and rushed, adding to the overall negative impression. I hope management considers reinforcing proper closing procedures and improving staff hospitality, especially for guests who make a long effort to visit.

I went here after watching YouTube videos talking about how good their chicken is. The chicken didnt disappoint. Very juicy. Spicy. Crunchy. Excellent. The chicken tenders, on the other hand, were dry and overcooked and tasted bad. Sides were good. My biggest disappointment was how dirty the restaurant was. Pretty nasty. Our table was filthy, the floor was filthy. Lastly, $4 for a fountain drink is ridiculous

I am from the Midwest, but visit Jacksonville occasionally, so sometimes I treat myself and drive 40 minutes to Jollibee for some chicken joy. I placed a to-go order at 9:00 PM to be picked up at 9:30 PM, 30 minutes before closing. When I go to pick up my order, they hand me it and say nothing else. After slightly checking the order, I noticed only two spicy flags on the chicken when it was supposed to be an entirely spicy 10 piece chicken joy bucket. I go to the counter and ask if my order was wrong or if they just didn’t put flags on all the spicy pieces of chicken. They said “Oh we ran out of spicy and could only give you four pieces, but we can give you hot sauce.” This would usually be okay, but they 1.) didn’t tell me it when they handed me my order to begin with and 2.) I fully saw 15 pieces of spicy chicken on the heating rack when they said that to me. I just realized that it wouldn’t be worth it to bring attention to the chicken on the rack and went home. Once I got home, I fully got to examine the chicken, and only TWO pieces of the ten piece bucket were spicy. I don’t like to leave reviews on restaurants, but this is completely disappointing and infuriating that I was lied to by the staff. There is no reason that only 20% of my order should be correct. I do not foresee myself ever coming to this location again.

So.... I've been hearing about this place, and let me tell you, it did not disappoint. 10/10 i highy recommend. The spicy chicken is superior, the mango peach pie is amazing, and the spaghetti was different but delicious. I didn't get to try the adobo rice because they were sold out, but overall, this place lived up to the hype. And the line was literally out the door but moved extremely fast.. This place has my fav food list for sure!!!!

Google
Been waiting to try this place. After seeing so many reviews on YouTube. We arrived to a packed house. Went inside and the A/C appeared to be off because it was hot in the dining area. We ordered and opted to get our stuff to-go because of the uncomfortable temperature inside. The staff all seemed friendly and ordering was a cinch. Once we got our food we took it to the car and dug in. I got both original and spicy chicken to sample them both. Upon the first bite I saw that their chicken lives up to the hype. It's deliciously seasoned and very crispy without being over breaded. The original chicken is 10 out of 10 and the spicy chicken is a 9 out of 10... Oh, I'm not saying that the spicy isn't as good as the original. It's actually better, but it loses a point for not being very spicy. It's mildly spicy. I was expecting a bit of heat heat but barely got a tickle. The gravy is a 5 out of 10. Kind of sweet and lacks the salt and pepper that you expect from a gravy. I can take it or leave it. The biscuits are something special. They are kinda like the old KFC biscuits before KFC went all "zero trans fats". They're soft, buttery, moist and flaky. I could have eaten half a dozen with honey. Definitely 10 out of 10. The Jolly spaghetti is a 7.5 out of 10. I would have it again because of the unique flavors. I like it. The adobo rice is a 6 out of 10. It's nothing special but it's okay. We got both types of pies for dessert. The peach mango is easily a 10 out of 10. It's simply amazing. The ube pie was also good but not on the same level as the peach mango. I still give it 8 out of 10. When it comes to the specialty drink, we tried three different types, The pineapple quencher drink is a 10 out of 10. The strawberry Bliss freeze is a 10 out of 10 and the lychee iced tea was a 10 out of 10. All in all we really enjoyed the meal. I will definitely return to grab some chicken and try a few different items whenever I'm in the area again.

Google
Every time I shop here the chicken is delicious, spicy in particular is marinaded to the bone. If you like spicy it's a good heat level. Price is high most expensive chicken I bought but it's on point. Service is standard you got some people who are great employees and some who clock Punch. Its a chain restaurant environment so not fine dining by and stretch of the imagination. This place gets packed densely it gets busy then dies. The Ube pie was amazing. There's only few locations so it's a treat just being a customer here. I come here when me and my girlfriend want a weekend reward.

Google
There is no Jollibee in Ohio so my Filipina wife was very excited to find they are in Florida where we are moving. Good food and great atmosphere. A touch of home for her. It was also great to see her sharing her love of Jollibee with our daughter. The best time about memories is when you get to share them with your children as well

Yelp
So delicious and worth the trip! We had an amazing experience at Jollibee Jacksonville! The Chickenjoy was crispy on the outside and super juicy inside -- exactly how fried chicken should be. The Palabok was flavorful and authentic, and the Jolly Spaghetti brought back childhood memories with its sweet and savory twist. And don't skip dessert -- the Ube Pie and Mango Pie were both fresh, flaky, and perfectly sweet! The staff was friendly and fast, and the whole place was clean and welcoming. Highly recommend if you're craving Filipino comfort food -- we'll definitely be back for more!

Yelp
This meal had some problems in the setting and service, but the food was enjoyable enough that I'm keeping it at 4 stars. Our server did offer a helpful suggestion this time: she asked if we wanted butter and honey with the biscuit. We didn't know that existed last time, so she did us a favor. She didn't seem willing to look me in the eye, however, only my wife. And I had to go back to the counter three times to get things (!): our buzzer, the butter and honey that were on our order, and a second set of fork and spoon (there were two of us). The bathrooms were worse than the service, though. The men's room, reminded me a bit of Filipino bathrooms. It wasn't terrible, but it should have been cleaner, should have a better faucet and towels to dry your hands, and should accommodate more than one person at a time. My wife's experience was worse. She said the bathroom was kind of flooded, and she had a hard time keeping her pants dry. So the service and bathrooms aren't quite up to good US standards. The food was as good as usual. We got a 2-piece Chicken Joy Meal Deal for $13. The hot biscuit was delicious. Cut it in half and melt butter on it at the beginning of your meal, then add honey at the end of the meal and have it for dessert. Our other dessert was the peach mango pie, which is always good. Just remember to take it out of its container at the beginning of your meal so that it's cool enough to eat by the end. We also got a side of Jolly Spaghetti, $4.79. My wife would like more rice than they give you. Other than that, this was enough for the two of us to eat. Next time I may want to try one of their new Angus burgers instead of the spaghetti. Or perhaps I'll try to duplicate that burger I loved in a Jollibee in the Philippines once: a customized one that I think was a double cheesy Yumburger with tomato and a lot of delicious cheese sauce (I thought at the time, but maybe it was just cheese and plenty of sauce).

Yelp
Food is always tasty but DO NOT order a to go order or Uber Eats order from them. Two separate occasions I used Uber Eats to order from them and instead of spaghetti I get palabok or not even what I ordered. It's disappointing the to go manager or whoever is working packing the to go orders can't verify exactly what the order is before putting it in the bag and then sealing it.

Yelp
Shoutout to our local community heroes! This is our second order this week. We ordered delivery. We got our cravings: spicy chicken, macaroni and cheese, adobo rice, one ube pie, and peach mango pie. The spicy chicken was surprisingly very spicy and it was even spicier than Popeyes chicken spicy. I didn't realize that the fried chicken pieces would be dark meat only. The chicken breast is only noted in chicken finger form and sandwiches. The signature brown gravy is good on anything especially if you need a bit of a salty addition. I like extra salt on my fries and that makes it nice. The chicken flavor definitely didn't need any more spice, salt, or flavor because it was perfectly yummy spicy. The Mac and cheese was cheesy and a nice texture. The pies were so good!!! It's crispy like the OG apple pies at McDonald's! I miss that crunch! The peach mango pie is total comfort food! Not too sweet with a little bit of tartness. The ube pie was creamy almost like a vanilla pudding texture. An enjoyable meal! Today I got the chicken strips, crispy fries, mango peach pie, and the amazing Coconut Dream freeze! A big surprise for my taste buds after a long day of chores on a hot day!!

Yelp
The spaghetti needs more meat and sauce in it for the price. Other than that service is usually good.

Yelp
The Spicy Chicken Sandwich had no flavor. I'm so bummed as the last time I was here a few years ago I was amazing. The batter is red with spices, but no flavor on its own. The orange sauce has more sweet profile and no spice. And surprisingly the fresh jalapeños had no spice either. Good chicken sandwich but not the spice it should have. Fried chicken and gravy was great and the Mango Peach Pie is always delicious.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try this place for a while and I'm glad I did. People at the counter could be friendlier but that's ok. TIP- download the app and order ahead of time. Food takes a while. Their spicy fried chicken was so crunchy and good. Their spaghetti was sweet and savory which I liked. Mashed potatoes were a good side item. The yumburgers were ok but I don't think that's the type of food you should get when you are at a place like this.

Yelp
I love Jollibee!! This is definitely my favorite fried chicken! I love the spicy the best! It has so much flavor and when they say spicy, it truly is! The chicken is always super crispy and the chicken really juicy! I also love the pineapple quencher and the pies! Oh the pies! The peach mango is like nothing else! The use is also great when they have it! I am not a big potato person but I really like their mashed potatoes. They do not taste like instant and the gravy has a good flavor. The service is usually good. For a long time there, the orders used to take a long time and you could have to wait up to an hour. However, as time has gone by, they have gotten so much better.

Yelp
Every time we drive through, from Orlando to Atlanta, we try to make this our food stop. Their chicken and peach mangos never disappoint! Be sure to try the palabok and burger steak covered in their delicious gravy! Masarap!

Yelp
I ordered on uber eats to scheduled to pick up. I ordered for my boyfriend who is in Jacksonville. I've put the right address and it was seen from the receipt on the Uber Eats app, as well. But this rude cashier told us that "maybe she ordered it in her area". Girl, the address is literally on what I am showing?! Service is bad.

Yelp
I went through the driveway for faster because service and I was pleasantly surprised at how prompt , friendly and patient the service member was. I had questions about specials that were not on the menu displayed and add on. The young man politely engaged and answered all question. I ordered the 2 piece chicken Joy with spaghetti which did not disappoint. The chicken was crispy and delicious with the complimentary gravy. The spaghetti was meaty , saucy and cheesy - what a delectable combination to satisfy my palette. The pineapple juice was awesome. Thank you Jollibee for making my dinner special !!!!
google avatar

Kim S.

Yelp
Fast food restaurant with a sit in area. Food wait time was minimal. Food was served fresh. Only dark meat chicken for the chicken joy meals. Chicken fingers were white meat. Overall, food was well seasoned and served hot and fresh. Prices are higher than normal but are not astronomical. Service was ok. Missed a drink and told one person another ask what do they want in a manner as if we were asking for something we had not purchased.

Yelp
On my family's roadtrip I wanted to stop at Jollibee since the only other one I had been to was in Madrid. We ordered the fried chicken, pancit, mash potatoes, adobo fried rice, ube pies, and a mango pie for my dad. The food was ok, but the food came out fast and the place was packed. The cashier and workers were all nice too.

Yelp
I've been wanting to try Jollibee for years, so while we were traveling through the area we gave it a try. I created a Jollibee account and received a coupon for a free peach mango pie when placing an online order. We ordered a variety of items to try them out. We got the 3 piece chickenjoy (2 spicy and 1 original) with mashed potatoes and upgraded the other side to the jolly spaghetti. The spicy chickenjoy was our overall favorite. It was so flavorful, crispy and fresh! The mashed potatoes were fine, nothing crazy unique or bad. The spaghetti was not my thing. My husband and I each took one bite each and threw it away. We also got an order of the Palabok fiesta with a pineapple quencher. The palabok was fine, probably wouldn't order it again, but we did finish it. The pineapple quencher was really refreshing and yummy. We also got two of the pineapple mango pies, they are fried pies with a runnier filling than I'm used to seeing in pies. Very delicious but would probably be really messy eating on the go. Since we ordered online we walked up to the counter and got our food. There is also a cashier present to take orders there. The beverages are self serve unless you get the pineapple quencher. I wish there were more "photo spots." My daughter loved the little Jollibee character and would have loved to have taken a picture with them somewhere! Overall we liked our food here. Would we come back? Maybe. But we wouldn't go out of our way and would probably just stick to the chickenjoy next time!

Yelp
I like Jollibee! The food is good, the mac&cheese is the cheesiest I've had at a restaurant. I enjoyed everything. Also, the food came out quickly. Employees were nice and helpful. Will definitely return.

Yelp
My daughter had a craving for Jollibee and so we decided last minute to do a foodie weekend getaway trip from Atlanta to Jacksonville. I had never had Jollibee before, but she has. I made a big $90+ order. I like where this restaurant is located because it was easy to get to via GPS and in a lit shopping plaza with Ross and Walmart. We got a to-go. Honestly, I thought the foods were just okay. It tasted like your typical KFC, Church's, Popeyes, Bojangles. The only thing that stood out was the Lychee Tea which was refreshingly delicious and the spaghetti. It was right on point. Glad I tried it, but would I go out of my way for it? No.
google avatar

Yelp
My home away from home! I make sure to stop by this place when I'm in JAX. It's food I grew up on and it doesn't disappoint. Place itself could be cleaner though. It appears someone defaced the outside area since you can get a whiff of urine. The restrooms aren't the cleanest either. If these don't bother you, their chickenjoy and peach mango pie are a must here. They also now sell some Red Ribbon items.

Big V.

Yelp
way too expensive!!!!!! a lot cheaper in the philippines!!!! a piece of chicken averages out to $2.83 a piece!! it's a rip-off for sure
google avatar

Amie S.

Yelp
Jollibee is always delicious. The spaghetti is my favorite side, a bit sweet and really flavorful. The chicken is always juicy and crunchy, and never misses. The only unfortunate thing is that you will always have to wait at least 45 minutes to get your food here, especially around lunch time. The peach mango pie is also a must try!!

Ty R.

Yelp
This Is Some Of The Best Quality Chicken In Jax always hot always fresh one of the best chicken places I've ever had five stars kudos to you, Jollibee

Yelp
I tried the fried chicken it was good. And I got the gravy to go with it that gave it a nice taste. It smelled good to. And it was out fast. But my favorite was the original chicken sandwich. The service was well.

Yelp
Hubby and I were in the area and looking for a place to stop in for a quick lunch. We had been wanting to try Jollibee for some time now so we decided on that. The place was packed and we waited about 10 minutes just to place our order. I wanted to try the chicken tenders. Hubby ordered the 2 piece chickenjoy with adobo rice. We shared a peach mango pie. The cashier told us it was a 15-20 minute wait but we ended up only waiting 10 minutes to get our food which was nice. I thought the chicken tenders were too plain and a little on the dry side. I tried some of the adobo rice and liked that. Hubby thought the chickenjoy was good but nothing special. I used the gravy for my tender and that was pretty good, hubby didn't care for it. We both thought the peach mango pie was the best item. The service was great but the food was just okay. I don't think we will be back unless it's for a peach mango pie.
google avatar

Dorothy B.

Yelp
Great chicken and spaghetti. Reminds me of home. I love to finish off the meal with the mango pie. On weekends, it gets very busy. I had to wait 30 minutes to get my chicken. To save time, order on the app.

Ray Ray's R.

Yelp
Thirty dollars for two of their three piece chicken tender meals. I'm okay with paying the price if the quality is good. However, these tenders were smaller than store bought and the usually fresh chicken we don't mind waiting for was cold and hard. I wouldn't usually post but the lady at the window practically threw the bag at me. Not coming back anytime soon.
google avatar

Anthony L.

Yelp
Everything was outstanding. The food was so tasty, the service was really goo, even though they were beyond busy. I don't think I have even seen a fast food restaurant so busy, but the entire staff handled it with grace and poise. My entire family is ready to go back.

Glenn M.

Yelp
The chicken is the best quick chicken you can get and they separate the spicy and non spicy with little toothpick flags. So cool
google avatar

James D.

Yelp
I finally popped my Jollibee cherry today. It lives up to the hype. Their two piece spicy was flavorful and actually carried a mild heat unlike most chicken chains. Their spicy chicken sandwich deluxe is massive and has fresh jalapeños on it! Their gravy is the perfect accompaniment for you to dip their chicken in. The star was the deliciously stuffed peach and mango pie. Sure it's pricey, but it's worth it! 10/10!

Yelp
OK so this is my second review of this restaurant. I'm doing this review basically due to the customer service that I received the last time that I came. Mostly jennifer the night manager. I've been here many times at this restaurant and you probably could see my review from before which I gave a review. I went to Resturant again the other night and ordered a 10 piece bucket mail and when I got there the young man that took my order told me it would be 15 minutes for the chicken I said that's fine I will wait. 30 minutes later I went to the front and asked them how much longer is it gonna be you guys said 15 minutes. The manager watch me ask the employees about the weight she didn't take it upon herself to say anything I'm sorry about the weight or anything. So the young man had to ask her How much longer because I've been waiting for a while she didn't even care about that she just said I was it'll be seven more minutes. Once I got the food I asked her is it normal for it to take 40 minutes for me to get chicken she said no but it's coming up right now what do you want me to do give you one piece of chicken. I said no you know what I'll take a refill of the pineapple juice that I've already bought because I had two of them. She said she could only refill one and then took the cup and went around the corner behind the counter where I couldn't see her to refill it instead of refilling it at the pineapple juice container that was right there in front where I got the 1st cup from. so needless to say I didn't even take the drink I told her never mind because I asked her why would she go around the corner to fill it up when it's just right there and she didn't have an answer. This was jennifer she was very rude. She didn't even wanna come to the front when the employee asked her to. Also the fries and the sides have been sitting in the bag already for the whole time since I ordered so when I got my food it was cold fries and cold sides. The food is usually really good at this restaurant and I've never had customer service that bad either they're usually pretty good. But I had to make this review because she was very nasty and rude.

Yelp
Thought I would try this really (cult level following) popular Polynesian fast food place - interesting menu where fried chicken (chicken joy) is paired with spaghetti - I wasn't feeling super inspired to try something super different so I got their new spicy chicken sandwich - so good!! Well definitely be back
google avatar

Tonesha S.

Yelp
To start, the chicken was AMAZING!!! Unfortunately when we went, there were no fries available so we tried the mashed potatoes and adobo rice. Mashed potatoes were good, rice lacked flavor. The gravy helped. Service was fast and the food was hot. I would definitely recommend.
google avatar

Candy E.

Yelp
I was on my lunch break and in the area. I've had them before and I wanted some fried chicken so I went inside and there were two people in front of me. Obviously they were newcomers which I get it but the menu is not that long and the indecisiveness was getting on my nerves. Mind you I was hungry cause I haven't eaten all day. The place was packed with people sitting down. So I walk up and she's like there's a 30 minute wait on food. I'm like "oookkk, I don't have time to wait." So I walked out. So when I got to my car, I had noticed no one was in the drive thru. Man...I went to the drive thru got my fresh 3 piece and rice in less than 3 minutes! It hit the spot! They lost a star cause of that lady at the counter. She wanna talk and talk and then say wait 30 minutes...lady bye! Just go through the drive thru.
google avatar

Syrena H.

Yelp
Jollibee was gross! The food was greasy like a really bad version of Kentucky fried chicken. They don't give you a lot of food and there is definitely a language and cultural barrier. I felt intimidation when I asked what things I've never seen before on the menu. They have weird sides like spaghetti and meatballs and hotdog stuff its very strange. But some people must like it because they are always busy. And that's ok! Its good that we are all different
google avatar

Shelly J.

Yelp
This store is always out of spicy chicken and they get my order incorrect or the order is missing items. They need to do a better quality check before items go out the door.
google avatar

Lisa M.

Yelp
We were driving around looking for something new to try for lunch and came upon Jollibee. The building says home of the famous chickenjoy but they also have hamburgers and spaghetti. I had the spicy chicken sandwich with fries. The sandwich was just the right amount of spicy and the fries were good. Not soggy or over salted. Husband had the Chickenjoy 2 piece meal spicy with mashed potatoes and a mango peach pie. He said his food was good and he also liked the level of spicy.
google avatar

David M.

Yelp
I've been reading about Jolibee for a long time and was excited to try one. I visited late one evening and ordered the chicken only to learn they only have dark meat. That was a big miss for me as I don't like dark meat. I persisted and got two pieces of chicken and found it to be...meh. Unlike KFC, Popeyes, Chick-fil-A and even Bojangles, the coating is not anything special. They give you gravy to dip it in and you will definitely need it. Their sides were sides. No better, no worse than the others. I didn't try to the spaghetti with wieners or palabok. I returned with my brother who loves dark meat. We went on a Tuesday afternoon at 1:30. How was the food then? Did my brother like it? We never got to find out. The line snaked in a U around the restaurant, with large families staking out the seating. It was a cold day and people had to sit outside. We were in line for 45 minutes and we moved five feet. It seemed they could only wait on one customer at a time and all orders were huge. They would take the order of a customer, usher them to the left and then fulfil their order before summoning the next one. We were tired of waiting and left with about 10 people in line in front of us. The service is not polite or friendly but then I find most Jacksonville businesses to have that problem. The place has a huge Filipino (from its origins) and Asian following, either because it's what they know or they don't like American-style chicken. The food is what it is but the service and efficiency needs the biggest overhaul of any business I've ever frequented. Just a terribly, terribly inefficient business.
google avatar

Karlynn H.

Yelp
You wouldn't think fast food could be this unique and delicious. Buh bye KFC, there's a new bucket o' chicken in town. I mean who doesn't want fried chicken and spaghetti together? I do and I did! For $8.49 I got one piece of my choice (leg) of spicy or original (for me spicy!) and a side of spaghetti and included a fountain drink. Since I don't drink soda, especially not Pepsi products, I opted for a bottle of water and no up charge for it! Chicken was good. Meat fell off the bone. Spicy was a kick, not too spicy. A little greasy for my taste, but under the skin the meat itself was juicy and tender. Chicken comes with a side of gravy to dip it in. I'm not a gravy fan, but this was good gravy (ha ha) light and a tiny peppery kick. My husband dipped his chicken and fries in it (insta-poutine!). The spaghetti was the star for me! This is not what you expect. Cheesy goodness and small hotdog like pork sausage slices, and a tomato sauce that tasted so good I'd come back just for this! The peach mango pie made McDonald's apple pie a thing of only my childhood- aka THE PAST! Crust was warm and tasty, flaky and the peach mango filling like a hot pie hit the spot. There is so much more to try on the menu and will definitely return. Hurry and bring one to Orlando please.

Yelp
Pros: cute restaurant, clean, polite and fast workers, cute uniforms, pineapple quencher is good Cons: The food sucks. Hamburgers are small and bland, palabok wasn't good, chicken is nothing special. The food is expensive and you get very bland boring food.

Yelp
Filipino Fast Food- and pretty pricey fast food too. My other half has been jonesing to try Jollibee forever & we finally popped in last week. We ordered a 1-pc Chickenjoy With Palabok Fiesta- the chicken was juicy, flavorful and good. The Palabok Fiesta was different- John forgot about the pork rinds and for a minute wondered what the heck was crunchy in this pasta dish! We also got a Yum-burger with cheese- pretty standard for a cheeseburger, it had a sauce on it that was similar to a huge fast food chains "secret sauce". And... we got the peach mango pie, which was delicious and I totally dripped on the front of my shirt- you simply couldn't bite into it without filling oozing out the bottom! All of that (the 1st plate came with a drink, or we were upcharged for one) came to over $17. Ouch. And the cheeseburger was just the burger- no sides, no drink. I could see us going again for the chicken, but it wasn't something I would go out of my way to get in the future.

Yelp
Inside dining was close the time I went about a month ago. Drive thru is open and lines can get pretty long. It was a decent wait time. I ordered the spicy 2 piece chicken and the spaghetti. Chicken was hot, spicy, and nicely fried. Gravy was a great addition for dipping the chicken. The fried chicken was pretty big in size as well. I always do enjoy the spaghetti every time I order it. They do offer great family meal deals and individual combo meals. Service was quick and everything came just as is. Can't wait for a Jollibee to be open near me!

Yelp
Finally got a chance to get Jollibee in the US. Jollibee has a cult following among Filipinos, so understandably that there was a line in store when we visited. We ordered the 10 piece chickenjoy bucket($19.99), Spicy chicken sandwich combo with pineapple juice($7.49) and Halo halo($5.49). Was charged 25 cents for a honey mustard dip that we had to ask again to get. The chicken was not that great, on the greasy side with little flavor. Perhaps what redeemed it was the gravy and the breading. Halo halo was an off menu option it seems, but the flavors just did not hit for me. Perhaps my rating has been clouded by the Jollibee I had back in Singapore, but I left slightly disappointed.

Yelp
First time visiting a Jollibee's. Arrived at lunch time and the place was packed. Everyone was primarily ordering large family size orders. When it was our turn to order, I ordered the three piece fried chicken with white rice and gravy. The chicken was all dark meat, which I prefer, but there was no option for a breast or wing. The only white meat chicken I saw was the chicken tenders, which my wife ordered along with mash potatoes and gravy. For hers, she said it was average. Nothing special. My three piece chicken pieces were nice size, bigger than Popeyes or KFC. The chicken was crispy and tasty. The white rice with the gravy was delicious. I also dipped the chicken in the gravy which actually made the chicken pop with a little more peppery flavoring. We were traveling so we didn't order much on this visit. I highly recommend trying Jollibee's if you love fried chicken!

Yelp
I fell in love with Jollibee in NY when I tried their delicious chicken and mango peach pie for the first time. On my recent trip to FL I saw there was one in the Jacksonville area so we planned to stop there for sure. This location is in a shopping center with a Walmart, kohl's and a few other chain stores. On the day I was there they still had their dining room closed due to Covid which was a bit of a disappointment since many other restaurants are open for dine in already. They did have a few outside tables to eat at but they were all being used by other customers. We ordered a huge amount of food for 4 people because we don't live anywhere close to a Jollibee and let's face it, you gotta just get it while you can! We ordered two two-piece with one side combos. One of the sides we chose was the spaghetti. Not my cup of tea at all but we wanted our teens to try it so they would know what it was like. Sweet, like ketchup sauce with cut up hotdogs and what looked like spam all mixed in over spaghetti and topped with shredded cheese. Not at all good in my opinion but a lot of people love it. With our other combo we got Palabok. It's thin rice noodles, shrimp, ground pork and a sauce that covered it all. Again, it wasn't my favorite but happy I tried it so now I know. The star of the show at Jollibee is the chicken, served with brown gravy for dipping- just do it because it's yummy! The chicken is so delicious, juicy and crispy. Just some of the best fast food chicken out there. This time around my husband wanted to try a couple of the burgers they have as well. The Aloha Burger and a Yumburger were his choices. I had a few bites of each and that Aloha Burger is simply amazing! I am now craving that burger along with the chicken. The Yumburger was too plain and boring for me but might be a good choice for a smaller appetite or just someone who wants a basic no frills burger. Of course you can't go to Jollibee and not get the mango peach pie. This is THE BEST fast food pie out there. None of the other chains desserts even come close to this pie IMO. I ate two and washed it all down with some of their delicious Pineapple drink. I left there so full but so happy! Jollibee, I hope you open a location closer to me someday. I will be a regular there and tell everyone I know how delicious your food is.

Yelp
Someone made the mistake of telling me this fast-food chain's chicken (and chicken sandwich) is better than Popeye's, so my expectations were raised too high. Chicken - 2.5 stars out of 5 Fries - 2 stars out of 5 Chicken sandwich - 1 star out of 5 Oh, and I'm being generous. This is a 1.5 star level of quality restaurant tops. And for some reason this Philippine-fused chicken joint sells drive-thru spaghetti too. You know. In case.

Yelp
menu is so limited, other Jollibees have more variety, such as the halo halo for example. they seldom clean the tables. Somewhat slow for small easy orders. It has been months without the spicy chicken. The only reason I didn't give 1-star its because the food is always good.

Yelp
Being someone who enjoys Filipino cuisine, I can't believe I waited so long to try Jollibee. Honestly, I had no idea what it was. I couldn't place the penguin mascot with anything and had to Google it so that I wasn't "that" person in the drive through learning about it while a line of people waited behind me. I'm so glad I finally did! I ordered the Palabok (pron: puh-LAH-book) Fiesta and the 2-piece Chickenjoy with a side of mashed potatoes. Both were delicious, and that gravy that comes with the fried chicken? SO good, as was the chicken itself. The palabok fiesta was new to me and I'll definitely get that again. It's pancit noodles topped with a flavorful garlic sauce that includes pork and shrimp (that cannot be removed) and hard-boiled egg. This was definitely a pleasant surprise and I'll certainly be back with my two teenagers!

Yelp
I love chicken and jollibee is a great place for that crispy hot chicken! The spicy chicken is my favorite with a side of rice and gravy. My least favorite would be the spaghetti bc it's a tad bit too sweet for my taste. I'm not a huge mango fan but all my friends raved about the mango pie and honestly it was soooo good! The cri spines was asmr worthy and the filling was sweet and balanced the crust outside. I normally get drive through but the one time I ate inside was a pleasant experience as well bc everyone is nice. Definitely go check it out!

Yelp
Finally made it to Jollibee and I will say it lived up to the hype. I will say it's odd when doing a review for what in the Philippines is a fast food restaurant but to me this is so much more. Now I know we ordered at the drive through and went with a 6 piece Spicy Chickenjoy Bucket. ( You gotta get the bucket) and an order of the Jolly Spaghetti. The Chickenjoy Bucket comes with (3 legs, 3 thighs) which is good for me since I prefer dark meat. I will say this fried chicken was very good. Unlike other fried chicken restaurants Jollibee's Spicy chicken is actually spicy and oh is it juicy. They also open me up to something new. The chickenjoy buckets comes with an gravy to dip your chicken in it and I now don't know if I can eat fried chicken without gravy though it will probably send me to an early grave if I do it too often. Now the Jolly Spaghetti which to some comes with some controversy and to Italians an abomination but I oddly enough really enjoyed it. The sweet meatiness of the sauce really worked for me. I will say both were of the pricey side with the 6 piece chickenjoy bucket being $15.99 and the Jolly Spaghetti being $7.99 but again I did enjoy both of them. I will say if you don't like dark meat maybe stick with the tenders or chicken sandwich but I will for sure be coming back to get my Filipino fried chicken and spaghetti fixings.

Yelp
In my haste to get home, I opted for fast food and wanted something different but usual. I visited jollibee's drive thru and had no clue what I wanted to order. The guy behind the mic was extremely patient and I really do mean extremely. Since it was my first visit, I had lots of questions and he answered each one and made suggestions (I'm sure the line behind me was not very happy but he took the time to help out). I got the family deal with 10 pieces of chicken and 3 large sides. I added the spaghetti to the family meal and got the chicken tender meal (which came with a drink and 3 like humongous tenders) for the 3 hr drive back home. I expected salty fast food and was gonna regret it later but I was pleasantly surprised. The chicken (tenders and the family meal) was crispy flaky on the outside and mad tender on the inside. The crunch was just right and it was not salty or oily and the barbecue sauce was sweet and tangy. . The adobo rice was a little sticky (I'm not a sticky rice fan) but tasted good. The mash potatoes and gravy were also pretty good, not like spectacular but also not bad. The gravy was a great topping and did not overwhelm with seasoning or flavor. Spaghetti was ok but that is more a preference than anything else. It had a mildly sweetish taste and did not appeal to me but I've been told that is how it's supposed to taste. The pineapple beverage was not overly sweet and didn't send my sugars through the roof. I will definitely return on my next visit to Jacksonville.
