Whenever I'm in SD, I'm frequently here at this Jollibee in National City. This chain is a very popular Filipino fast food restaurant known for their "Chicken Joy" aka Crispy Fried Chicken. Jollibee's Fried Chicken is hand-breaded & "crispylicious" on the outside, & "juicylicious" on the inside. Idk what it is but it's really good!
The employees at this location can be a hit or miss. Sometimes they look like they are mean but they are just waiting on you to order. I've had good service for most of my visits here. Since I usually have a big order, I have to wait, but it's pretty quick. It's the Spicy Chicken that we are waiting on, because that's what's popular here. You can dine in, it's pretty chill here.
We don't have Jollibee all the time since the closest location for us is in Panorama City. Which is a good thing that it's far, because my Family loves it, lol. Thank goodness. But whenever there's a special occasion or a holiday, I usu order 2-4 Buckets of Fried Chicken. The Spicy Chicken Bucket is mandatory for our Family. It comes with 6 pieces or 10 pieces. We definitely get a couple of 10 pcs... To me the Spicy is not too spicy. It definitely is crispy! They serve it with a side of Gravy. I never really cared for the gravy... Until recently...
I seriously just recently did this: Take a spicy fried chicken, drizzle on a Tabasco Sauce packet or two, then I either dip my chicken in gravy or pour gravy on top. With some rice. Mmm, soo good... They also offer different Chicken meals too.
They are also known for their Filipinx Spaghetti. But if you don't care for sweetness in spaghetti especially in the sauce, then this spaghetti isn't for you.
My favorite noodle dish is their Palabok. This is a traditional Filipinx noodle dish covered in garlic sauce, sautéed in pork, shrimp and egg. Mmm. You'll just have to try it for yourself.
They have other items on the menu. But these are my Usuals. They have burgers, chicken sandwiches, French fries & more. They have a good fruit drink like the pineapple quencher. You should definitely try out some of their pies. They usually have Peach Mango Pie available. There are seasonal pies too. I got to try Ube Pie & Coconut Pie... Think of McDonald's dessert pies, with an interesting filling but a flakier crispier pie crust.
