One evening while in the mood for fried chicken, but way too lazy to wait in the 2 Popeye's lines located nearby, my partner and I decided to try something new. My partner heard this restaurant was top tier, and I've heard of this place a million times, but never ate from it. Upon walk-in, the dining area is very updated and modern. It has the cutest setup, and it's located inside of the neighboring Seafood City store. Business looked pretty steady, and the ads placed all over the store really got my hopes up. My partner and I ordered the Spicy Deluxe Chicken Sandwich with fries and a soda, and the 3-piece chicken tender combo with fries and another fountain drink. To try something new, we also ordered a regular sized adobo rice. The total was about $40 for the 2 of us - pretty hefty when compared to the nearby Raising Cane's or Chick-fil-a.
We waited around 10 minutes for our food, and finally our buzzer went off to collect our items. Upon first glance, everything looks wonderful. The french fries were perfectly salted and crisp, but that was probably the best thing we ordered. My partner said the tenders didn't taste like they'd had much seasoning, and my chicken sandwich was just "good," and got me by. The adobo rice was a pleasant experience as I'd never eaten the dish before, but I feel like it had much more to be desired.
The service here was great. I'd used the restroom during my visit, and it was spotless. Honestly, one of the cleanest public restrooms I've come across in a while! As great as the service was, however, I don't think I would return to this location for another chance in the future.
