The Jug used to be the typical dive bar. It appears to be changing, the old jukebox was blocked off but they added a lot of food.

Old time bar and prices, good people, bartenders, Sue is soooo nice to all! I now live in San Diego but do visit in the summer ,My friend Carmen and I drink Manhattans but he was in a bad car crash, see you soon.

The Monday day bartender was so nice. There was no cook and she made us a fabulous tuna melt , goulash and vegetable soup. She totally engaged with us even though we weren’t regulars. Great prices.

This place was a great time. Joey was an amazing host - kept the drinks flowing and was quick on the cleanup when we had an accidental spill. Highly recommend the late night food - the nachos, pretzels and popcorn were delicious.

It’s just a small bar with a lot of nice people Behind the bar and the kitchen. The normal people that come in this place are just this: normal people. Very friendly, No fights, a lot of laughter, and it’s very easy to make a friend.

Service and drinks are great here and cheap, i will deff be back but the food was not so great 😬 would recommend the drinks here. French onion soup was grossly salty and beef on weck only had 3 pieces of beef

Stay away bad place bad things going on at night ! It's a dive bar and people sleep there

This is one of the best bars in western ny. The prices are human, the people are normal, and the ambiance is American. It's how every damn bar should be, if you ask me.

Open for adult beverages and hot food from 8 AM until 3 AM daily. I especially like the sign behind the bar. It says: ORDER OF SERVICE 1. DRINKS 2. FOOD 3. LOTTERY Pool table and lottery machine.

As far as dive bars go, this is a good one. Feels a little like walking into someone's finished 70s basement. Unmatched chairs with plastic cushions included. Plenty of drink options and an extensive menu that wasn't just fried stuff. Place was clean and the bartender was great.

This place was awesome! Joey was an amazing host and kept our drinks flowing! He was super quick on the clean up when we had a little spill. The late night kitchen made some great nachos, popcorn and pretzels! Definitely high on my "must go back" list.

This is an awesome bar, run by a dedicated and awesome keeper. Best service around. The pool table is not full size. That is the only non complementary statement I can come up with. We had the pretzels, popcorn, and super nachos. They were all delicious and very well-made. Joey, the bar keeper was on point with anything we needed.

Really nice dive bar. We could see that it had a regular local clientele as expected. The vibe was friendly, drinks cheap, and food tasty.

Great little divey bar that's been around forever. It's pretty much the same as I remember when a friend took me there in the late 80's as it is today. Friendly bartenders, a fun bunch of down to earth regulars with a occasional splash of interesting flavor thrown in for good measure. I'm talking grandma and grandpa types to the just 21 and everything in between. The drinks are cheap, they have a limited food menu. For entertainment there's a pool table, dart board and jukebox. The music will vary depending on the crowd and if sad country is playing you might even be asked to dance. Love my Jug nights!

Good neighborhood dive bar. I stopped in yesterday to buy sandwiches for my staff. Joel the bartender was friendly and attentive. I'd recommend this place if you want to experience a non-chain environment. The staff all loved the roast beef and pulled pork sandwiches as well.

Taco Tuesday's After couple of drinks everything tastes good but these tacos( soft shell) were pretty delicious. The bar crew friendly and this is the spot for a late night fix, cheers.

I have been coming to the jug for at least 5 years. I've met so many great people it really is a family. Cheap pool table and drinks. A great dive bar with friendly faces. They have lotto, a great jukebox and a fantastic food menu. All the bartenders are awesome. No matter what time of day or night the Jug is a place where everyone can come to enjoy a cold drink.

It's literally been YEARS since I've been to this place, as in like twenty plus, but being from the Town of Tonawanda originally, I know it's been around forever. It is what many people have said it is; a neighborhood staple and local bar that would be considered a dive. I know the guy (not personally) only in passing - that used to own it and I believe his daughter runs it now. VERY, VERY kind and salt of the earth types. I will say this; a very good friend of mine, in fact my best friend ever, who's not with us anymore, used to frequent this place a lot. I remember going there on Thanksgiving for an early beer with him and it was all set up for a large,buffet meal, complete with turkey and stuffing and all the rest that comes with it - for FREE - for less advantaged people who were bussed in from Buffalo. My friend explained they do it every Thanksgiving AND Christmas. I heard that and my heart melted. Good, honest, hard working and wonderful people own and run this place, and no wonder they've been around for fifty plus years.

Stopped back in after many years away. Same place for the most part, with some modern twists with jukebox and accepting payment other than cash. But regular folks, who welcomed us in.

Stopped by the JJ yeterday night like I always do whenever I'm in town....it was kinda busy...I waited at the bar.....and waited....and waited...while I watched the bartender pound shots while customers waited...I..she finally approached me after waiting at least 10min for service without even sayin..sorry for your wait...can I help you?...I told her no thanks and finally left and doubt I'll ever be back...2 thumbs down gang...

THE HOURS POSTED ARE WRONG! The Jolly Jug opens at 8:00am and is then open for 20 hours, closing at 4:00am (NOT 4:00pm, as they show above) every day, except Sunday they open at noon.

Oleg F. is, in fact, a drunk and disorderly patron that was ejected after trying to start fights with other customers. Emma was the bartender who cut him off and told him to leave before he got himself hurt.

The jug is an interesting dive bar located in an out of the way spot on Niagara Falls Blvd. The beers are cheap and it's usually pretty steady business in there. As I remember they have the typical assortment of pool tables and dart boards.

For a hole in the wall, dive bar this place is great. GPS this place because if you come at night it's virtually impossible to find. Even though it's right in front of Niagara Falls Blvd. The bar doesn't have a lit sign, so keep an eye for the Molson, Blue Light or whatever other neon sign that points to the entrance. This is a cash bar with really cheap drinks. Seriously $2.75 for Capt. and coke, unheard-of! If you don't have cash they have an ATM machine close to the back. We were told by the manage, owner or maybe it was just a local to make sure you count your money after using the ATM since every once in a while a $20 will get stock. I didn't personally use the pool table but my friend that is a pretty good player played a game. She could not stop raving about the table. This is pretty much a quote, "that is the best bar pool table I have ever played on! You can actually make bank shoots because there are indentations and it doesn't lean to one side or the other." She ran the table on her game and was called a pool shark the rest of the night. Hurt a guys pride too. So I trust her opinion on the matter, but maybe next time I'll play... even though I am not that good. Who knows maybe playing on a good table will make me look better... who am I kidding? Anyway, there is also a juke box were you can pay to play basically any song you can think of. The theme of the night I was there was 90's dance songs. I highly recommend this bar.

Really cold and cheap drinks. Kind of a hole in the wall but a great spot if you want to get drunk

Good times,pool table, darts, quick draw, instant lottery machine. Best drink prices around. Ex. Bud (light) 2.25. Limited food, but all homemade. Chili, goulosh, hamburgers, roast beef, tacos, subs (meatball, blt, turkey & club & a few more). Prices are $1.50 to $7.00 for food. They also serve breakfast on Tuesdays & Thursdays from 8:00-11:00 am that is really reasonable.
