Cool atmosphere, lots of wood, typical of a brewpub. However, I'm not a fan of the fast-food style service. I don't believe it lends itself well to a craft beer establishment. While I didn't eat, I will say the food I saw go out did look appealing, though.
My real gripe was with the beer service. I was not disappointed with the product, just how it was served. I found the tumbler the Turbo Bam was served in to be very atypical, and also not very well poured. I don't mean to come across as a snob, but poorly poured beer that's not allowed to release carbonation inhibits flavor and has an overly filling effect. And i felt every bit of it.
Maybe some of the staff hasn't been trained properly. Perhaps my expectations are too high. Either way, I'm a little disappointed with my introduction to Jolly Pumpkin, especially after hearing a trusted friend rave about it.
