"Jolly Pumpkin is Hyde Park's newest destination for serious suds and grub. The Michigan-based brewery opened its satellite location here in 2018, offering up draft specialties you won't find anywhere else. Hold your wine and cocktail yearnings for another day—or another bar, at least—because this is an outpost for all things ale. The menu changes frequently, sometimes even multiple times a day. So make sure to ask your server for a flight to sample from the two-dozen draft selections." - Brad Japhe

A wonderful range of beers and food. We had the flyers which enabled us to sample multiple drinks, which were of reasonable size. The food was good and the staff were able to cater for our dietary needs too.

It's always great to try local places in towns that you visit. There beer was good even though they were out of a lot (said they were getting their shipment today). They had a good Groupon 2-4 beer flights and a growler filled with beer of choice for $30. Nice atmosphere open rustic feel with a lot of tables, big bar and patio seating. The food menu looked good but we just came for the beer, Dusk & Perk were some of our favorites. They have a lot of sours and even though we aren't huge sour fans we still tried some.

Came to this pizzeria with my father who was visiting from Florida. I'm definitely going to be coming back here with my girlfriend, and we live up on the North Side! The pizza was phenomenal. The beer was even better! We also got a salad and the crispy cauliflower appetizer which was 💯 Highly recommend Jolly Pumpkin to anyone who lives in Chicago! You won't be disappointed!

Cool atmosphere, lots of wood, typical of a brewpub. However, I'm not a fan of the fast-food style service. I don't believe it lends itself well to a craft beer establishment. While I didn't eat, I will say the food I saw go out did look appealing, though. My real gripe was with the beer service. I was not disappointed with the product, just how it was served. I found the tumbler the Turbo Bam was served in to be very atypical, and also not very well poured. I don't mean to come across as a snob, but poorly poured beer that's not allowed to release carbonation inhibits flavor and has an overly filling effect. And i felt every bit of it. Maybe some of the staff hasn't been trained properly. Perhaps my expectations are too high. Either way, I'm a little disappointed with my introduction to Jolly Pumpkin, especially after hearing a trusted friend rave about it.

I went on opening day and while they still have some kinks to work out I loved the pizza with mushrooms & truffles. I look forward to digging into the beer selection as well. It's a nice looking place inside with booths, counter seating and big communal benches in the middle. I suspect this place will get busy quickly.

I ordered from here off of Door dash, my fries weren’t hot but that wasn’t the fault of the restaurant although to prevent it they could try foil wrap around to-go dishes or only go with delivery services who use insulation bags. Everything was delicious! 🤤 I was craving a burger 🍔 and 🍟 and it hit the spot.

Great interior and outdoor patio spaces. I did not try the beer, the cocktail I had was just OK. Service was great and food looked delicious. Lots of TVs showing a variety of sporting events including Le Tour de France when I was there. Would recommend as a date night spot or a family friendly meal.
