We stopped by here for a quick bite on Sunday afternoon and had a pleasant meal and visit! We ordered their Truffle fries with garlic aoli, Jolly Pumpkin house cheese bread, and the Harvest Salad. I am glad we made the decision to share everything because the portions were definitely large enough to do so. The truffle fries were crispy and delicious, and the aoli had just the right amount of garlic to balance out the strong truffle/parmesan seasoning of the fries. The house cheese bread was as big as their pizzas! It was delicious and came with a roasted crushed tomato sauce on the side. And finally, the Harvest salad was the show stopper for me. Crisp lettuce with a nice spring mix and peppery arugula, goat cheese crumble, pickled beets, sunflower seeds, and walnuts made up the salad and it came with a delicious green apple vinaigrette dressing. The restaurant wasn't very crowded when we got there at 1:30pm but by the time we got up to leave the late lunch crowd was beginning to pack in. The staff was wonderful and very patient, especially with diners who had never been there before and the restaurant was very clean. Has a bar type feel to it but very much so a friends and family type of spot. They also have a broad beer and draft menu! I even saw them bringing a water bowl for some diners who ate on the patio that had a furry friend with them! It's those types of things and small gestures that make a restaurant great! We had a Jolly good time at JOLLY PUMPKIN in Royal Oak and I'm sure you will too!

The place is great to chill. Great place in the middle of the downtown to have some drinks and food. I loved their starters and cocktails. And would definitely recommend this place. They also have a pub downstairs in f you love to dance and party with your friends. The servers and nice and the services would be fast. So give it a visit.

I really love the truffle fries and the Jolly pumpkin burger. They do a great job here of seasoning everything just right with herbs including rosemary and parsley. The beer menu is definitely the star here, at least in my opinion. I also love the fact that they were open on a Monday during a blizzard when it seems that half of Royal Oak was closing early. With great service and good food you can’t go wrong here. It’s very clean here and there is a great vibe. 100!

The service here is wonderful! We had pizza and salad, and enjoyed both very much. Pretty on par with New York-style pizza, just a teensy bit thicker crust. The Cobb salad was delicious! Big fan of the sour beers they brew on-site.

Nice place to go for pizza or drinks. They also have burgers that look amazing although no one in our party bag any. The loaded waffle fries are so good, just be aware they have a kick in spicy.

I loved everything about this place. We visited a little over a week ago (late to review) and it was an enjoyable experience. The restaurant is clean and roomy. The tables are large and spacious which was great. Our server was friendly and informative and he was really cool. We dined in during happy hour and the deals on beer and the sharables was wonderful! The truffle fries are perfection! Just the right amount of truffle and herb and that rosemary aioli to go with the fries has to be terrible for you, but it is worth it. The breadsticks are incredible. Gooey cheese, the charred tomato marinara, you cannot go wrong. The Perfect Fried Chicken Sandwich is a mind ****. It was one of the craziest most delicious sandwiches I have ever tasted. I'm all for spicy and always interested in sriracha so the sriracha turmeric aioli and spicy pickles hooked me. It was exactly as the name says, perfect. The Char-grilled cajun wings are flavorful and tasty but they are huge wings, only issue with that was they seemed barely cooked so the texture was off. Overall, so much fun and a great time. Jolly Pumpkin had delicious food and beer, we left feeling extremely full but all having leftovers. Thank goodness, cause I thoroughly enjoyed the sandwich as a late night snack. When we visit again, I'll be sure to be back.

We ordered a couple of pizzas, which turned out good, the truffle fries were very crispy, and the dip was amazing. We also ordered bread sticks, which was a little disappointing, as it felt too doughy. The drinks were good, the service was very good, server was warm and welcoming.

Yelp
We came here to celebrate my cousins 21st birthday. We had VIP booked in advanced. When we get there we are shown to our "booth" and there's a party going on already in there. Staff sees them out as this was ours. This group of people were all Asian and I want to point that out because it is relevant. We are a group of mostly Chaldeans. A girl from the group starts to get loud with my group and she claims "whatever the cost is ill pay it! I'm not moving!" They leave with all of their decorations and go upstairs. About 15-20 min later the bouncers return to remove us from the VIP area and relocate us across the dance floor to another, much smaller "VIP" area. They claim they double booked and the other party booked earlier than us so they get the bigger room. I highly doubt that but we can't prove anything. They said they weren't going to charge us. We haven't even started leaving yet when all of the other party start coming back in all giving us looks like we did something wrong. The girl from before starts to use slurs and insults towards us like its our fault Craft double booked. In the smaller "VIP" we order drinks and some people drop $300 on bottle service all in all in less than 20 min my group spends about $600 on drinks. Some people start fighting on the dance floor and my cousin not knowing what's going on gets shoved by a bouncer so he shoves back. A few min later another bouncer comes over and throws him out for shoving the staff. At this point we've all had enough with this place and we all decide to leave. I shit you not it takes 5 bouncers and bar tenders to look for our waitress so we can get our credit cards back and close our tabs. The rest of the party left and went elsewhere. 40 min into looking for her she randomly comes back asking if we want more drinks. No one found her before I asked her for the cards back and checks. This was all a surprise to her. I will never be back at this unprofessional establishment. Screw this place.

Yelp
This place used to be called Commune and is now Craft. Let me preface this by saying that I don't go out to bars/clubs all the time, but only on occasion and I didn't get anything to eat or drink here. I came to dance. That being said, if you like to dance under a wave of neon colored laser and disco lights to a DJ spinning hits and just enough fog to make you wonder if it's all a dream, then this is your place. The atmosphere is friendly (from what I saw for my first visit), fun, energetic, and upbeat. The people there just want to have a good time with friends and enjoy the evening. At around 10:45pm, the place was pretty empty. However, people started filing in at around 11:00pm - 11:30pm, and even more after midnight (my sister and I left at 12:30am). So if you're looking for that crowd, show up a little later. They have leather couches and private areas that can be reserved, a nice bar area that's pretty lit up so you can see what you're ordering, and they have security which is good to have any time large crowds and alcohol are involved. Security guys were pretty nice and helpful when I asked them questions. Bathrooms looked kept up and they have bathroom attendants on staff so you're not really ever alone in this place. Craft is located beneath the Bastone Brewery which I really liked because you can get away from the crowd and get a bite to eat or relax before going on your next adventure for the night - which for me was going back home. Make sure not to get there too late because you're going to wait in a long line. They have two lines- one inside of Bastone Brewery right at the head of the stairway that leads you down to Craft, and the other is the back entrance to Craft. Overall, this is a fun place to go out with friends and have a dance party. Nothing too crazy or wild - just spirited fun.

Yelp
Seriously I've left three times now because the wannabe house music is so bad. If you want to dance don't go here. Kills yo vibe.

Yelp
We were at Craft tonight and my son and daughter went up to the bar to get a drink. The Bouncer grabbed my son and told him that he needs to leave. Neither of them were drunk. He tried to explain, but he was shoved and dragged up the stairs. Horrifying experience!! My daughter told us afterwards that she had seen this happen to others here before. She called it targeting. None of us will ever go there again.

Yelp
Called this place a few days ago to verify their age restrictions and they said it was 18+. I came here tonight and they would not let my friends in because they were 20 years old, however, they let my 19 year old brother in. Obviously their security guards don't know how to do math and their staff does not know enough about their own bar. After asking about the age restrictions again, a rude security woman came downstairs and asked a bunch of questions so we decided to leave. After heading out, we were deciding where to go and one of my other friends (who was over 21) went back into the restaurant upstairs (Bastone) to stand by the door because it was cold outside. The security woman from Craft then had the audacity to come upstairs and say that my friend needed to go stand outside and questioned her age for several minutes. Unbelievably rude. Overall, this place was horrible and I was only there for 5 minutes. Never stepping foot here again.

Yelp
Nightlife is interesting, very busy but not too challenging to get a drink. Pricing is aligned with the area, nothing to write home about
