I love the buffalo chicken dip here, it’s more on the creamier side than the spicy side. I usually get the pizza but decided to try the wings and California club this time. The club was good, i would’ve preferred less pesto but if you like a strong pesto taste in your sandwiches then you love it. The wings were okay, could’ve been saucier and crispier. (I’m from Memphis)

Food and service was awesome! Thanks again to Spring for being a champ and for dealing with my 2 year old that kept trying to touch her….. Much love from Fort Worth, Texas. We will be back Nashville!

This was our go-to spot for the whole trip. We had dinner twice here as well as lunch once. The food was excellent. The wings had a great amount of seasoning, the burgers were juicy, and the fish and chips were crunchy on the outside, and soft on the inside. Our waiters WILL and CHELSEA were friendly, attentive, and gave excellent recommendations on the food. The highlight of our time at Jonathan's was KELLAN, our bartender. She made us some of the best espresso martinis. She was very friendly, polite, and had such a positive attitude. Our first night there she made sure to have our drinks filled. The second night was very busy, yet KELLAN spotted us as we walked in. She made sure we were given a table, came by to say hello and brought us complimentary espresso martini. Once the crowd died down, we were able to make our way to the bar. KELLANs shift was over, yet she stayed for a bit to make sure we were poured one more martini. Thanks again KELLAN!! We wish you all the best! And thank you Jonathan's, we will definitely be back!

I'm impressed with the quality of the food. Prime rib sandwich and fish tacos were delish.

It was 2 for 1 on drinks and pizza. We had a great time hanging out here with our friends. Great service.

This was a great after work place to come and relax. Quite enjoyed the food and trivia. Service was ok. Loved the Nashville hot chicken slider but would recommend pickle spear as a side.

Had an excellent meal watching the Super Bowl at Jonathan's. Ellie served us expertly and with enthusiasm. Forgot the food pics (salmon bowl, fish tacos and french dip) except the pesto hummus appetizer. Highly recommended!

Great little place with a great menu and wonderful service. I got a regular bacon cheeseburger that was messed up so the waiter got me a new one and it was perfect! (It was overcooked, no bacon, they scraped off ingredients and put pepper jack over whatever they scraped off.) My new burger was juicy without being super fatty and cooked perfect. My son got the bison burger. He said it was good , but dry and nothing special. My husband got the hot Turkey sandwich and said it was fantastic and worth coming back for. The chips were delicious and the fries were the best.

Loved it. We had been walking for some time in 90 degree weather and found Jonathan's on the way back to our hotel. Nashville is a town of microbrew taps and I stopped for a beer I could enjoy. I wanted a Stella, Modello or something European. Not only did they have Stella it was the beer of the month so buy one get one free!!! We needed a slight bite to eat so we ordered the pizza rolls. Not what we expected but it was great. It was more like a Stromboli which we both love and loved this dish to the fullest. Large tap, tons of tv's playing sports. More of a neighborhood bar, not like anything on Broadway.

The service here was abysmal. It took our group of five at least half an hour to order a second round of drinks even though our server was regularly checking on other tables. The food is basically what you'd get at an Applebee's - just for double the price. Nothing is inventive or interesting. And it's much more expensive than it should be. The location is convenient if you're going to a Sounds game or show at Brooklyn Bowl. Regular sports bar vibe if you're in your 40s.

#fatjared say...you know what to expect when you walk in to Jonathan's whether you know the restaurant before or not. The epitome of a sports bar, and right in line with what I would have expected food wise. Nothing special, but good. For the way I grade and review I have stayed and will continue to stay consistent no matter what. 5 stars on Yelp is as good as it gets, which means perfect, which means I have to have no complaints at all to give you 5 stars. 1 star is the opposite, as bad as it gets, therefore I have nothing good to say. 3 stars is average, middle of the road. That is what Jonathan's was to me. If you look at the menu they did try to make themselves unique with the multiple different kinds of egg rolls they offer. Not something every bar does, and I am here for it. We didn't order any, but we did get the brussels, the bam bam shrimp, fried cauliflower, all their veggie options, and a good ole fashioned burger. The brussles were a great flavor, and some of the most deep fried I have ever had. Leave it up to us Americans to make even veggies as bad for you as possible. To piggyback on that, I would not suggest the cauliflower unless you love breading. I did not reads the menu well enough and ended up sending them back because it was just too heavy of a meal for me. The shrimp were both my wife and I's favorite thing. Solid flavor, a good portion size, and not too heavy. Would order again for sure. A burger is something that is really hard to mess up, but also really hard to do extra well. This was a 3 star burger for sure. Nothing unique, but I would have it again in a heartbeat. The only thing we ordered not pictured because we ate it too fast was the skillet cookie. Truly can't go wrong with a warm chocolate chip cookie and a scoop of ice cream over it. All in all, the experience was good, plenty of TVs and the fire pit is extra warm. Did it stand out extra for a normal sports bar? No, but would I come back? Yes.

Nice location but the food leaves a lot to be desired. Was there with a large group and it was late but the kitchen was still open. Our food was meh. Edible but not what we expected.

Stopped in here on a Friday night after Sounds game. Appeared to be very clean. It was very bright in the large table area. The sound from TVs were overly loud with the few patrons that were in the building. The food was good but did not wow me. I got a burger and was asked how I wanted it. I asked for medium. It came out more on the well done side. My son liked his wings. My wife got flatbread pizza. It was a little rubbery. They did have many tv's to watch sports on.

Ah, Jonathans Grille...a constant and consistent spot for any occasion. This particular Jonathans is located on 3rd Avenue just a couple of blocks from the Sounds Stadium. We have been here for a variety of reasons, but mostly for football games, which is what brought us in this past weekend (Go Noles!). Service started off pretty solid, but got a bit lackluster as our night went on. The amount of time between check-ins was a bit much, as we had to find our servers twice in search of refills and our tickets. Nothing terrible, but was noticeable. Food wise, Jonathans always comes through. We usually go with the wings, nachos, dips and/or flatbreads. I added an 8" pizza to the table this time and we were not mad at it! Drinks, Jonathans has some of the best bar specials in the area with many days and nights having 2-for-1 specials on select bottles and drafts. Overall, we enjoy Jonathans and this location. Certainly will be back!

Giving this place 4 stars after my second experience there, where I hosted 9 people for a watch party upstairs. Cons: they don't allow you to reserve during game days, even on a Tuesday (and in the winter every day is game day for something) so that was a pain point. Pros: we had the rooftop almost to ourself with an incredible staff member, Jack, taking care of us for 2-2.5 hours. We ordered a lot of apps and the pizza as well as drinks and everything was great and hot. Much better than the first time I came.

I stopped by Jonathan's for lunch, and sat at the bar. The server was very pleasant. The food was really good! The baked potato was recommended by another Yelper in the photos and it did not disappoint (though I actually said "no" when she asked if I'd like it Loaded Style, but that's okay). I've never had cranberry bread before, but the chicken sandwich served on it was delicious! I swapped Swiss for American cheese. Jonathan's has a bunch of TVs by the bar, and garage doors that open to a side room. I only wish the windows were open or that they had outdoor seating! It was such a beautiful day and I was freezing indoors in the air conditioning.

Jonathans is a classic sports bar, big menu, draft beers, full bar kinda place. They also have trivia on Wednesdays! Great for happy hour as well!! We did have some trouble getting attention from our server. It took a while to get our checks too. We did go on Wednesday so it was pretty busy. Overall pretty decent food options for everybody, and not too expensive.

Jonathan's grille is a downtown nashville eatery and bar that has late nights hours located just a few blocks off the main Broadway strip of nashville where all the honky tonks are. My buddy and I was in town for an event and late Saturday after our event was over the Broadway area was crawling with people and hard to navigate. Finding food and drink was a definite no go. We stayed at the Marriott a few blocks away and decided to just go back to the hotel and grab a snack. Google showed us a place called Jonathan's grille was in walking distance and had a nice sized menu so we made the walk. It was past midnight and the area it was in looked ran down and deserted. We crossed some train tracks skeptically and thinking out loud "what are we about to stumble upon". However just across the tracks on the left was this place. Very different vibe from the surrounding area as it was modern, sleek and very nice. We walk in and the place has a solid crowd. We decide to sit at the bar and was greeted immediately by two very nice and kind workers. They announced the late night specials of buy one get one beer and pizzas for $7. We immediately knew this was the place for us. My buddy started ordering beers and we both got a pizza. I went with the cheese and he went with pepperoni. For $7 we was both expecting very small personal pan type pizzas or even cheap bar pizza. We were surprised that the pizza had nice size and portions and was a very good, fresh and original pizza. Not just an oven bake. I will even venture to say that out of all the nashville pizza I've tried this has been my favorite one. The vibe here was very diverse, fun and easy going. Anyone and everyone could have a good time here. It was late night so my buddy got excited that old reruns of "cheaters" was airing. But I imagine during peak hours of sporting events that this is a good place to take In a game or a fight. Plenty of TVs and good seating arrangements. Overall this was by far both my buddy and mine favorite place we visited on our Nashville trip. Has to be maybe nashville best kept secret. Very close to all the action but with much cheaper and better tasting food. The beer even being buy one get one was still cheaper than other places in the downtown nashville area. Highly recommend. This will be a place I'll come back to when visiting nashville overnight in the future.

Um.....it's a sports bar as our waitress pointed out. Came in here while waiting for our tour to start. Cool thing, the main bar table features cannon balls in the fire pit! We got a couple of cocktails and soft pretzels with queso. The pretzels and queso was good. The cocktails were........ok.

I love this place. The food is always on point. I love the large menu selection , it's a great place to watch games and the service is always good!!

Service: See Phillip bartender on the rooftop. Came here for Happy hour, GPS took us on a wild ride but we found parking ( awesome ) and a not so busy bar, ( sweet ) amazing happy hour and a bartender from the desert ( Lake Havasu ) ( I am from Kingman, Arizona) and he gave us all kinds of great information as to what to see and do while we are here in Nashville!!!

Went here after a ballgame for a late night dinner & drinks. Ordered Nashville sliders. Presentation was pretty, with the pickles on top & the chicken was good, had good spice but it was really dry. Almost like it needed extra sauce on it or a dipping sauce added to this dish. We also ordered the Southwest Egg rolls. Portion size in this was enough to share with a couple people & it had a flavorful southwest kick to it. Fiesta wrap was really good, I thought the jalapeño wrap would be spicy but it wasn't, the southwest egg rolls had more spice than the wrap. The wrap was also easy to share with one other person. The fries that came with the wrap were really good skinny fries. I ordered the margarita pizza & I didn't love the pesto sauce on this. It changed it from the normal margarita pizza I thought I was ordering. I'm sure the menu mentioned this sauce but I didn't pay enough attention. Menu looked like it had a lot of varieties, sports bar vibes. Cucumber Gimlet was really cucumbery & fresh. Staff was friendly.

I absolutely love this place. My buddy and I went here late on a Saturday night. It was after midnight and they were running all kind of specials on drinks and pizza. Got a lot of good food and drinks for cheap prices. Set the bar and watched sport center and it was just an awesome experience overall. Definitely will be back next time. We are in Nashville.

I've been looking for a good sports bar to watch games, have a solid drink & a good meal. Johnathan's has provided all 3. Great food, awesome bartenders, lots of screens displaying different sports, good music & crowd. They do delivery as well via those serviceable sites. Awesome place

We went here for a football game and we really enjoyed our time. Their happy hour drink special, you can't beat 2for1. We enjoyed the Buffalo chicken dip very much! Had great flavor and a lot of chips included. The spicy sausage pasta was delicious. Definitely spicy! We also had the zesty turkey sandwich *not pictured* and that was kind of lackluster. The server was attentive and helpful and the overall ambiance for watching a sporting event was awesome! Will definitely be back!

Place was friendly and welcoming. Drinks came quickly. Menu was pretty big and varied. I opted for pasta, my friend had several veggie options. We were hungry...actually hangry but it was good food. And a value for the money. If you find yourself in this are (outskirts of town) do eat here. There was a rooftop bar, but it was too hot for it to be open. Can't say for sure but I don't think there would be much of a view there. I could wrong.

Solid house salad and decent eggs rolls. But the old fashioned sucked! Service was swift. Good place for unpretentious vibe and decent food. Lots of sports screens. Go here for a good pub tavern style meal.

Food was honestly pretty good, definitely the best part of this visit. Unfortunately, the actual worst service I have ever received at a jonathons. Our server Lainie had literally no urgency. She had 3 tables and would literally take separate trips to each instead of doing a general check on the three of us that were all seated near each other. She came back to the table 3 times before she even brought our sodas, (wanted to get our full order so we could be blatantly ignored after that) and then we just didn't see her again until after we had already asked someone else to get us ranch for our food that was getting cold on the table. Really enjoyed both the food runners though, they were quick with that ranch. We were there Tuesday lunch 2pm to give context.

Perhaps it's because I believe in decent human dignity, BUT Savannah the "manager" is extremely disrespectful. We asked one of the bar tenders if we could get the volume turned back on from a football game that we were viewing. She went to ask the manager and reported that the manager simply shrugged her shoulders. We asked if we could speak to her. It took her about 35 minutes to come out. When she did I said "excuse me," and she put her finger up and said "wait." She went around to have several conversations other than acknowledging that she had two paying customers there waiting for her. When she came back I started to speak and she said (with her finger up) "we aren't doing this, I am running a multi million dollar restaurant, what do you want?" At that point I let her know that I was speaking (as she continued to try to speak over me) and that the fact that she was speaking over me was rude. She said that I approached her abrasively. I asked her what I did other than say "excuse me" that she was considering abrasive. She couldn't answer me. I told her that I didn't appreciate the micro aggressions or the disrespect. She rolled her eyes. I am black and Savannah is white. Regardless of what she is feeling, I do believe that customer service is part of her job. She then went on to say that we were making her employee uncomfortable which the employee promptly denied. She continued being combative and talking over me. She never actually found out the reason she was asked to our table (nor did she inquire). I let her know that I would be escalating this incident. She said that was fine, and walked off. In my opinion, people should stay far, far away from this place. It's unfortunate but your leaders tell a lot about the establishment.

Food is awesome large portions so be mindful . Service is off the chain ! Drew was very attentive and funny . Ambiance is casual and friendly. This is a must !

Late post from Sunday night's dinner with the family. The restaurant gave me a Hooters or Twin Peaks kind of feel with multiple tvs playing a variety of sports. It was very spacious, attentive/humorous staff, and a nice food selection. My son and I ordered the same entree, which was the carribean chicken- so good and hearty. Also, all entrees come with a salad. My youngest always feel she can never go wrong with ordering chicken tenders everywhere she goes. I need to clarify a huge disclaimer before i start my review. Me and my family came to this restaurant not wanting a sports bar which is completely on us. If you are looking for a loud sports bar with young college kids this is the place to be. It's very very loud because everyone is talking and screaming. They played almost every single sports game i could imagine. It was a super busy night and the poor waitress had to work the rooftop and the first floor. So she wasn't super attentive but that's not her fault that's the scheduling's fault. She was super sweet when she was serving us. The food was actually delicious. This would have been a 5 stars if it wasn't for the fact that they were severely understaffed which isn't the employees fault. We had to ask the hostess multiple times to get a waitress because we were just sitting there. The hostess was super sweet and got our drinks for us while we waited. Overall, I would recommend if you're looking for a "college frat boy bar" that was completely the vibe.

We went to Nashville for our anniversary. We stayed down town at the Marriott. It was late when we arrived and we were hungry. We asked the front desk where is some good food but walking distance. She said Jonathan's was a 4 min walk around the corner. I am so glad we went. We stayed there for a week and went to Jonathan's provably 4-5 times. The atmosphere, the food, and happy hour deals you can't beat anywhere. Cain behind the bar made us feel like family. I wish we had this restaurant in California.

I do not recommend this restaurant. Although our waitress was very friendly she was forgetful. Orders were put in wrong, food came out randomly, kitchen fault, and I had the WORST Old Fashioned ever! The bartender clearly needs to go back to bar tending school. Don't waste your time or money here.

Ambiance bluesy rustic, very chill. Service- great! everything we asked for and in a timely manner. Fantastic salad and and nice children's menu with ample portions.

Scene: We've been in Nashville approximately 30 minutes and were starved to death. This sports bar/pizza joint was within walking distance of our friend's apartment, so we gave it a shot. Literally, the first word out of our server's mouth once we finally got sat? "We just had four servers and three kitchen staff walk out. We're not serving food anymore." It was 8:30 p.m.--on a Saturday night. I'll guarantee you our server Alyssa was the next out the door. She was seething. I'm not sure exactly what was going on behind-the-scenes, but last night was anarchy. The restaurant had reached DefCon1. Bless their hearts.

This place was amazing. The service was great and the waiters were super friendly. Ambiance was on point. If you're ever in town I definitely recommend this place you will not be disappointed.

Food is great but more importantly our waiter, Levi, was AMAZING! He was friendly, attentive, and funny which made our visit extra fun! You can get good food anywhere but if the wait staff is mediocre it can ruin the whole experience. Hats off to Levi for giving his all at work and obviously enjoying what he does!! Stopped in for a quick bite and beer... sat at the bar and the servers were friendly and food was good. Had the chicken lettuce wraps (totally forgot to snag a pic!) with a few Corona's. I'd def recommend this local spot.

Came here on a week night during their happy hour. Their AC was broken at the moment I should have taken it as a sign not to go. They offer a few apps for happy hour and the double pour on wine was generous but my wine was warm. I waited and waited no one came so I just gave up. Their food was ok nothing amazing. It was packed and hot and my wine was warm and staff was busy and couldn't get someone for a long time. But when the staff finally had time to come he was very nice. I probably will try again sometime in the future but not until their ACs fixed.

Love this place! great good, big portions and their customer service is outstanding. get the Beef Dip with sweet potato fries, it was the best I've ever had. Highly recommend.

I was a little worried about coming here with only 3 stars, but the service was fantastic and the food was pretty good. I can say that mine came out not quite hot, but was still good. I ordered The Horseshoe, substitute a black bean patty. My husband got the Bison Burger, add bacon, no bun (they do not have GF buns). We were both pleased with our meals. Our friends ordered the buffalo chicken dip with chips and celery. The chips were crisp and good and they ate all the dip, so I'm assuming they liked it.

Gabbie was an exceptional server tonight. She was an amazing example of hospitality in the service industry. Give this girl a raise!

If you are looking for a variety of options every single time you go out eat with amazing service, Jonathan's is the place to go. They have sandwiches to wraps delicious pizzas (2 for 2 on Tuesdays) and just a fun ambiance that is a great night for a few drinks with friends or a quick bite to eat with family! Give the southwest egg rolls a try!

Such good food! Great service as well. We had 6 children, and they handled it wonderfully- Definitely a sports bar, but really enjoyed our lunch today!

I got the short rib tacos which were delicious. The southwest egg rolls remind of the chili's ones which were fire! Had a Karbach Ranch water which was pretty good and buy one get one was a plus! If only they had my favorite adult beverage NÜTRL, it would've improved the already amazing experience

We stopped in for a drink. The place seemed clean but the bartender was not wearing a mask or wearing gloves. There was no social distancing (full number of seats at the bar). The beer menu could use some work--not many craft beers. We would like to go back and try the food but for now, I don't feel that comfortable dining in there. Maybe food to-go?

Love to local people. One of our go to places, love the upstairs deck and service UNTIL tonight. Customers moving tables in Fire Lanes "noted to the GM stated tonight" saying "there are 3 more available places to walk " good answer but whatever. Great service upstairs. Depending on night. WILL NEVER GO BACK DUE TO THE "problem solver GM". This will not impact business, I know, who cares nobody listens unless You are the owner. FYI I waited to pay my 80 dollar bill, after a 30 dollar bill downstairs. Asked the manager how not to hinder the servers tip. She had no response. Local East Nash customers Not anymore. Ps would never look for a response but much appreciated.

Dinner was amazing! As a gluten free person I was excited to see the gluten free pizza option. It was so delicious it almost tasted like I could have had flour in it. The garden pisse was good and I recommend getting it with pesto. Will definitely be coming back for more.

The Bum Bum shrimp was fantastic as was the Hummus! Service was excellent! Thank you Gwen for taking care of us!
