"Located in the cove of the same name and popular with a “VIP” clientele, Jondal occupies a bucolic Ibiza-style building where Rafa Zafra, a chef with a passion for the sea, is at the helm. Outstanding fish and seafood are, understandably, the stars of the show here, including an impressive selection of dishes built around caviar and created using a variety of different techniques (grilled, raw, fried, cured, salted etc). Many customers come here for the views, so we recommend booking as far in advance as possible – in summer it is not easy securing a table here." - Michelin Inspector

We booked Jondal for 1:00 pm, but the day before they messaged me to confirm and told me to arrive by 12:00 pm or our beds would be released. Fine. We got there at 12;30 — the place was nearly empty, with maybe 3–4 beds occupied at most. A guy named Daniel, who handles bed allocations, gave us the last row beds. I pointed out that there were plenty of empty beds in the front row, but he said, “No, people are going to come. If there’s availability, I’ll move you.” Fair enough — or so I thought. Hours passed. Around 4 pm, I went up to him a couple of times saying I could still see empty front-row beds. He kept repeating, “People are still coming.” And sure enough, we saw people arrive at 4 pm and get those prime beds — clearly people he knew. So why were we told to come by 12 pm if those spots are reserved for late-arriving regulars? Honestly, I don’t get the hype. No music, food was just okay. The only saving grace was two servers — Alejandro and another gentleman whose name I can’t remember — who were genuinely friendly and helpful. Without them, we probably would have left earlier. For the price and the treatment we received, there are far better places to spend the day in Ibiza. I wouldn’t recommend it.

The food is good but Too pricy for what it is. Especially if you know that 80% of the menu is ready made frozen industrial food. I recommend to limit your choice to the regular fishes of the day. But be aware that they will charge you 300€ for a simple turbot for 2 people! Also they over charge the sun beds, when the local law limits the price to 10€ per bed.

I used to wonder why it was impossible to get a table at Jondal during high season — not anymore. The food might be the best I’ve ever had at a beach restaurant (the tuna belly was absolutely delicious), the staff are all lovely, and the service strikes the perfect balance between warm and professional. The crowd is the classiest you’ll find in Ibiza, and the venue is beautiful. Huge thanks to manager Pol for organizing a last-minute table for me during one of the busiest weekends of the year. A true gentleman.

Jondal: where the only truly exclusive thing is the arrogance We came to Jondal with high expectations… and to be fair, there was something grand: the staff’s ego. As for friendliness and empathy? Must’ve been left in the kitchen, along with the flavor. The service was so “refined” we started to wonder if we’d stumbled into a social experiment. Staff too busy looking unimpressed to notice customers, and a general vibe of “what are YOU doing here?” Lovely. And the food? Beautifully presented, flavor… not so much. Nothing memorable—except the bill, of course. A true piece of conceptual art, where you pay for the idea more than the execution. Average ingredients, luxury pricing. A marketing masterpiece. So, if you’re looking for a place where you can feel out of place, eat mediocre food, and spend like you’re dining in Paris, Jondal is perfect. A must-visit—so you can tell the story with irony later.

Highly recommended the most iconic and most beautiful restaurant and beach club i know. Staff is incredible capable and friendy, service is on top level as well as the amazing food. The product quality either if its food or wine is the best you can get. Yes its not cheap but worth any euro you spend. Jondal is our happy place ❤️

5-Star Review for Jondal Restaurant, Ibiza ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Jondal Restaurant in Ibiza is an absolute gem! From the moment we arrived, the stunning beachfront views took our breath away. The ambiance is perfect for a relaxing meal and a Bottle of white or Red wine, with a chic yet inviting atmosphere. The menu is a delightful blend of Mediterranean flavors, and every dish we tried was exquisite particularly the Stake, the Oysters, The Caviar and the Cesar Salad that was presented like a snoe white, and the presentation was simply beautiful. The Dessert was to Die For. We had the amazing crembulé inside a pinapple. Just wonderful. The service was impeccable; our server Daniel and Jorge was attentive and knowledgeable, providing great recommendations without being intrusive. The entire staff made us feel welcomed and valued from the very beggining and one of the hosts even wished me a very happy birthday at the entrance. Which was special. Whether you’re looking for a romantic dinner or a fun meal with friends, Jondal delivers on every front. We left with full bellies and happy hearts! Highly recommend this spot for anyone visiting Ibiza!

We’ve visited Jondal annually for the past five years, and the food remains excellent. However, the experience has lost some of its original charm, with some staff seeming distant, as if dining is more a favor than a pleasure. This is disappointing but somewhat understandable given the restaurant’s reputation. Having been there from the start, we’ve seen changes that aren’t entirely positive. Overall, the food deserves a warmer atmosphere to match. :)

Beautiful place and the food excellent. The waiters were very attentive and nice, we had the most memorable lunch and afternoon. It is very pricey.
