"Jon’s Bar & Grille, the big corner spot with a patio and roof deck, has closed after serving the neighborhood for 37 years. It was known for its ample outdoor space and a mural of Larry Fine. The bar was put up for sale last summer for $2.5 million, including the business, building, and liquor license." - Rachel Vigoda

The location is the best thing I like a/b Jon's. It's a great meeting spot. Awesome place to grab a drink + a nice bite to eat & just ppl watch. They have a deck right out front, on South St its cool for summer and heated for the chillier nights...Huge Eagles presence.. Moderate prices.

Great location. Service is a bit wacky and uninformed. Took forever just ti get help. Go here for a beer on the patio for convenience. But if you know elsewhere with good craft beer selection and outdoor seating, then try that first.

I went here with two of my friends over the weekend and the experience was not satisfactory. It took approximately 20 minutes to receive our drinks, every time we ordered refills. The food took just as long, if not longer to reach the table. Often times, we felt forgotten by our waitress. The food was bland! At the end of the night, we realized why our waitress was inattentive. The restaurant adds 18% gratuity to any tabs over $50 (Typically I tip 20%, but her service only warranted 10%). We split the tab, so one of the tabs was under $50. When we questioned why that person tab received the 18% gratuity penalty, the waitress informed us that gratuity is based off of the entire tables overall bill. In the end, we have no plans on visiting this establishment again, and would not recommended this place.

Nice cozy bar with a great beer selection. Bartender was very nice. Great location. As a Three Stooges fan I think it would have been cool if they had a room with some memorabilia from Larry Fine, who was born on the 3rd floor. I stop in every time I'm on South Street, which unfortunately is not too often. Really a nice place...

Here again food was good, drinks were good but service sucks and then when they bring your bill, it automatically comes with an added 18% gratuity charge. Your service wasn't worth that. So when the waitress came back and said that the bill was short, I told her it was going to stay that way. Give me good service and there won't be a problem. Oh and don't tell me how much I'm going to tip you. Poor policy.
