We were very disappointed by the picnic today. We were a group of 20 people, and were told that all but the furthest picnic pod were too small for our group, so we booked it for there, which was a mistake, since the waiters never showed up. The waiters were extremely rude, and made everything we asked for feel like an extreme burden. They only provided us with 4 umbrellas for 20 people, which wasn’t enough at all. When we asked for more, they told us that all the umbrellas were used, even though almost none of the other pods were used and we could see other umbrellas lying around. We asked for more cushions, so that everyone at least had a cushion to sit on, which they didn’t want to provide either. The waiters were almost never there to ask for our drink orders. Also, they told us the picnic will be set up by 12:30, but when we got there by 1pm there were only blankets and umbrellas, without the picnics, and we had to wait until 1pm to get food. By 4pm, they started chasing everyone away, telling us they need to start cleaning, even though when we booked they told us we’d have the picnic spot for the entire afternoon. This definitely wasn’t worth the money, and I’m extremely disappointed in Jordan’s picnic spots!! Do not ever consider booking a picnic at Jordan!!!! If I could give a 0 review I would.

Place is amazing with beautiful views. However staff are not very friendly. One staff member was rude and made us feel uncomfortable by saying “it’s too expensive” about their croissant because I asked for it to be plain. He made us feel like why are you here? Why are you ordering a plain croissant?

We did a Chardonnay wine tasting at Jordan. The setting was beautiful and tranquil. Each of the Chardonnays that we tasted were excellent as was the service by Rebecca. She was very attentive, engaging, friendly and knowledgeable when it came to the wines we were tasting. The Chameleons on the estate were a surprise and a great bonus as they are such amazing creatures!

Great location, great wine, great atmosphere. Tinotenda had a great sense of humour (which I don't know if all people would enjoy - great salesman) as our server. The wine tasting was exquisite. Bought two bottles. The views are next level and I have not seen similar views at wine farms in the Stellenbosch area. Would definitely return and perhaps enjoy a meal and tour here.

We decided to celebrate a friend's birthday at Jordan Wine Estate with a light lunch. As we entered the venue we were greeted by this bundle of energy with a killer smile named Brendon & he was our server as well. What an amasing place just to chill with great food & amasing service. We really enjoyed our time at Jordan Wine Estate due to the beauty of the estate, great food & attention to detail by our server Brendon. If you're in the Stellenbosch area & looking for a excellent venue this is the place for you. To the management and staff thank you for a exceptional experience. Kind regards Ferdie Liebenberg

Surprised by all the positive reviews. We booked for a picnic after reading the positive responses and were very disappointed. The gluten-free picnic basket was nice, except for the fact that the gluten-free bread was completely stale and inedible. In this day gluten-free options should not be an after thought. I would recommend supplementing with crackers rather than stale crumbly bread. The tart in the non-gluten basket was very dry and really not well made. Our group was located in the furthest picnic pod which was the least desirable out of the options on the lawn, and we were told that the other pods were booked however no one arrived to occupy the other pods throughout the day so we could have had one of the better areas and this was disappointing. We were told that our server would visit us every half an hour to see if we needed anything else, but he visited us once during the entire afternoon. Because we were left without service, we made our way up to the restaurant to sit down and order our coffee there, but we're told we couldn’t sit at the restaurant due to a private function: most of the restaurant was empty and we were told to move. We then ordered coffee to enjoy in the upper garden and were served this in takeaway cups despite specifically requesting it as a non take-away. All in all, it’s a pity that the service is so lack lustre and that one is made to feel like just another head. Pleasant setting but not spectacular, and due to the service there are far better picnic options to choose from in the winelands. Would not recommend.

This was a fab experience! Leon really knows his stuff - we learned a lot from him! Wellington was also lovely. Highly recommend!

On a regular Saturday morning chore run, we decided to “pop in” as we haven’t visited in a few years. I’m almost ashamed that we haven’t been here more often! The view - 15/10. The understated elegance of the the whole property- 12/10. The wine 🍷 12/10. The food on the deck -12/10 and completely in line with any meal in Stellenbosch or Somerset west cost wise. What topped the whole experience? Rebecca, our fantastic waitress/hostess 💕 This will bring us back very soon !!
