"Burgundy booths, bright red walls, and hot dog wall art alert you to the priority at Jordan’s. Get the Californian — a split and grilled Hummel dog (produced right here in New Haven) on a buttered, toasted bun, overflowing with turkey chili, parmesan, and diced onion." - Stasia Brewczynski

Google
This is the first hot dog restaurant I have reviewed and it’s a good one. Very gourmet with all beef and turkey options and an extensive menu with sides. Really nice place to eat, highly recommend.

Google
I ordered buffalo wings, and beef hot dog combo the flavor I received was a different flavor it was tasty just wish I got some flats and not all drums. They were fried hard without asking.

Google
First time there I had a new york dog Mac and cheese dog Jordan wings and a philly cheese steak it was great! you can't go wrong

Zanya Thompson

Google
Ordered and was very disappointed, my baby and I couldn’t even eat the wings the way they were Burnt, dry and decorated with a lil sauce. Pic on the left is what’s advertised and pic on right is what I got 🤮🤮

We love the creativity at Jordan’s! Hummel hot dogs are my favorite, so top it with Mac and cheese and bacon and I’m sold! They also had a Doritos cheeseburger and Doritos nachos that we haven’t seen anywhere else have. We loved that the Doritos gave the cheeseburger an extra crunch. Big fan of the sweet chili wings! Everyone was so nice there!

Google
Stumbled across this place on State St. Jordan's Hot Dogs and Mac , so I figured I’d go in and give it a try. . . I ordered the New York (the one with mustard) and Kansas City dogs. OMFG! The Kansas City dog was out of this world. The BBQ glaze, cheddar cheese and bacon were absolutely delicious and sweet. The New York Dog is a take on the classic of the same name. The sweet relish mixing with the sauerkraut and grilled onions was spot on! Great flavor. Definitely will go back to try the others out. What’s also great about Jordan’s, is that, you can choose from a variety of toppings for your dogs. From good ol’ American cheese to some more exotic, like Mango Habanero. The staff was absolutely fantastic, friendly and funny! I’ll be coming back for more!

First things first the Georgia red hot was not spicy at all. I asked for ketchup and cheese sauce and they gave me a Georgia red that looked like a drunk clown has thrown up all over it. As soon as I opened the foil ketchup and cheese sauce just came flying out. Second my cheese fries that I ordered the fries seemed old, older than my grandpa. The fries seemed like they were left drenched in the oil for sometime. It was horrible. Third not to mention the pictures online of the Mac and cheese seem very well done and cheesy. Which made me crave the Mac and cheese made my mouth water. However when I ordered for my child. As I opened the lid, so much disappoint slapped me in the face. It was dry and plan very cold with shredded cold cheese on top. Now you may think that we are exaggerating but we have taken pictures. This was very disappointing. The only thing that came out good in this order was the plan two mini dogs that turned out to be 10 inches long each. So that's your mini dog. The whole order was very expensive, this is sadder than inflation. The total came out to be almost 50 dollars. NOT MY MONEYS WORTH. MY GRANDPA CAN COOK BETTER THAN JORDANS HOTDOGS

Google
The food was just AMAZING!! The food was made fresh as we ordered and it was QUICK. Definitely check this place out, you won't regret it. Lastly the guy who took our order was awesome aswell! Very friendly, personable and a nice guy to get along with.

Yelp
Exceptional service and delicious food. This is a local gem in New Haven, CT! They are serving some of the best comfort food, including loaded hot dogs, fries, and mac and cheese. I tried the New England Dog with sweet relish, raw onions, bacon, sauerkraut, and mustard / the chili cheese dog / and the Kansas City Dog with bacon, bbq sauce, and cheddar cheese. Nearly impossible to choose a favorite! Perfectly toasted bread and perfectly grilled hot dogs. Super casual interior with booth style and table top seating and three televisions airing movies and the games. Street and near-by lot parking.

Yelp
Jordan's restaurant is a small establishment in New Haven, Connecticut and was just simply delicious. I have been hearing about this establishment on Yelp and I had it in my bookmarks for a while now so I decided to check them it out. My daughter and I ordered Chicken Wings in Buffalo, Sweet Chili, and Parmesan flavors, a Jordan Burger, and a Jordan Mac Dog with Macaroni and Cheese, Jalapeño's, and Chili. The wings were the bomb . Just the right amount of crispness and seasoning but you get seven wings for twelve dollars. That's a little on the expensive side but overall great wings. The Jordan Hotdog was delicious. The Macaroni and Cheese was creamy and it was just a good decadent Hotdog. I had of a bit of my daughter's Jordan Hamburger and it was pretty good. The customer service was great and the staff were very pleasant. I will definitely be back again for the wings.

Yelp
Tucked away on State Street in New Haven, Connecticut is a gem of a black owned business called Jordan's Hot Dogs and Mac. Jordan's has been serving delicious hot dogs, burgers, wings, salads, beverages and desserts for 11 years. One of the things that keeps us coming back to Jordan's is the unique flavor profiles. There are over 28 add-ons to customize your dogs and burgers. The Jordan's glaze is a sweet and tangy favorite that graces the Jordan burger, but is also amazing for dipping or adding to anything you order. The sweet buffalo sauce that glazed these wings was phenomenal. They also carry barbecue, regular buffalo, garlic Parmesan, lemon pepper, mango habanero, and sweet chili sauces. We tried the sweet buffalo sauce added on top of crisp fries with bacon and a blue cheese dressing. Each fry ended up being a little different from its fellows, which kept us eating. Jordan's also has unique options like Doritos steak nachos, a chicken melt hot dog, Nashville hot chicken sandwiches, and the Tijuana double dog. That beauty is 2 hot dogs, avocado, jalapeño, cheddar cheese, chopped tomato, and chili all wrapped in a tortilla. If you can dream it, you can probably eat it at Jordan's Hot Dogs and Mac. 10/10 food, service and passion.

Yelp
I mean, the name says hot dogs and Mac. I'm honestly not a hot dogs and Mac kind of girl. I heard great things about the Mac Dog, but I didn't try it. I AM a wing girl! And I was pleasantly surprised by the wings, since all the talk is of dogs and mac, I wasn't expecting much! So glad I was wrong! I tried a few flavors and need to go back and try more! This is a small family owned business which everyone should support! It's intimate, there were regulars in and out while we were there. Ohhhh! It's also BYOB!!! Who doesn't love that? Then, get the banana pudding for dessert. Or strawberry banana pudding. You can't go wrong with either! My friend had a burger and enjoyed that too! You order at the register and wait for you food to be ready. Go support this small black owned business in New Haven! Check out my reel on my visit on insta @clinkdrinkeat.ct

Yelp
This is my 2nd time here but I haven't been in years!!! The hotdog is sooo good. It's cooked perfectly. I got the BOLT and then I ordered the one with mac too because the first one was so good. Make sure you sign up for their rewards and get $5 off your first order. The parking situation is sucky. It's street parking and I ended up parking quite far and it was cold. It was worth it though. Will definitely re visit and get the banana pudding next time.

Yelp
Until last night, Jordan's was the only stop (that I'm aware of) on what people might describe as the CT Great Hot Dog Joint Trail that I had missed. I'm sure there are places I don't know, but theyre can't be many because I keep pretty well informed about hot dogs. I've been to all 10 on the CT Yelp Hot Dog List. My wife had a super rare craving for hot dogs. I threw out a couple options and she chose Jordan's, which is up the street from Modern Apizza. Jordan's splits and grills its dogs, and the dog extends from both sides of the grilled bun. That's a fairly popular CT style, although I prefer some bun and toppings with each bite. The bun has that bread and crust appearance, which is good for capturing butter during the grilling process. Jordan's had a bunch of topping options, but when I first visit a new place, I always choose a specialty dog as it appears on the menu. My wife chose a dog with Mac & Cheese and bacon. She liked it a lot. It looked great, although that's not a dog I order because I think the bun and Mac are redundant. I had a harder time connecting with any of the specialty dogs than I normally do. I ultimately went with the BOLT, which was bacon, onion ring, lettuce and tomato. The dog and bun were very good. The BLT were as you would expect. The onion rings were thick and rainbow shaped. I prefer thinner onions for burger and dog toppings, but it was well executed. The overall hot dog was good, but for me, it needed a sauce to tie it all together. Jordan's has inside and outside seating. It's definitely an old school joint. If you're looking for fancy digs, you might prefer takeout. Service was friendly. Four Stars

Yelp
Jordan's has been selling hotdogs in New Haven for forever and I'm not sure how I haven't made it there. In the interest of health, I've been walking in the neighborhood and walked by Jordans the other day. I've been to another former New Haven hotdog spot that'll remain nameless and wanted to compare. Jordans did a great job. I had a New Yorker as you can see in the photograph attached. With a huge hotdog plenty of toppings and the foxon park soda, greater New Haven original, made it even better. Staff is friendly and accommodating. Next time I go, I will ask for a little less yellow mustard. Yellow mustard overpowered the delicate red sauce. But I assure you that basket was empty when I returned it to the counter. If hotdogs aren't your thing, the menu has been the other choices. Enjoy. I sure did.

Angela G.

Yelp
The food was great and served up quick. There also was a sweet young kid (I presume the owner's son) who greeted us and insisted we "get home safe" once we started to head out after eating. Great environment and I think the photo speaks for itself.

David C.

Yelp
The hot dog was good , i also ordered onion rings, they werent horrible. What was horrible was the hotdog was $8 and $6 for about 8 onion rings. Not going back

Dave P.

Yelp
Got myself the classic Mac Dog and assorted decorated fries. Both were excellent and worth returning. They were well made and tasted delicious. Staff was friendly and conversational which helped us choose. Be careful of how much you add to our fries which may change your price a bit, parking is a challenge in the area and you may miss it as it is a smaller place

Colin M.

Yelp
Great spot. Stopped by for a quick lunch, got the classic Mac Dog and was not disappointed. The dog itself was split in half and griddled, great split top bun, and then topped with mac & cheese, pickled jalapenos and crumbled bacon. Not really a big hot dog guy but this would easily convert me; can't wait to try more stuff there.

Maria K.

Yelp
Pretty easy to find parking. After-drinking kinds of food, hole in the wall kind of place. We got the Mac dog and the philly dog along with coleslaw and onion rings. The hot dogs are pretty big - split down the middle and flat top grilled. It was fun to try, probably wouldn't go back. Another customer came in to pick up an order while we were there. She complained very loudly about the chicken sandwich not being so great.

Dale T.

Yelp
Stopped in here because I'm a sucker for hotdogs. Got the Kansas City dog and it did not disappoint.

La Shaune T.

Yelp
I was searching for a new place to eat and came across Jordan's Hot Dogs & Mac. I ordered a double patty burger with mushrooms, grilled unions, Swiss cheese, pickles, mayo, mustard and ketchup well done. Baaaaaaabyyyyyy. When I say it was delicious. That is an understatement. I also ordered a NY hotdog combo (sweet potato fries) and a Georgia hot sausage combo (regular fries) cooked a little dark. Deeeeeeeeeeelicious, you read me?? I didn't like I had to share these meals, lol. I am definitely going back and trying everything they have on their menu.

Brian V.

Yelp
Family business got the privilege of meeting Jordan himself great food need I say more

Lauren O.

Yelp
Hmmm we were really craving hot dogs! This place def satisfied our craving. There are lots of creative options. The place isn't much to look at, maybe even a little ugly. Looks like 50% coffee shop and 50% hot dog joint. I'm not sure it's the cleanest... but service is friendly and food is quick and tastes good. We went all out and ordered the chili dog Mac supreme which was good as was the barbecue bacon dog. Both satisfied our cravings but we weren't blown away. I'd try this place again though.

Jimmy D.

Yelp
Visiting from out of town and wanted some good burgers. Ordered the Jordan burger and it was pretty good. They toasted the bun which was awesome and even let us upgrade our sodas because the wait was a little long. Would definitely recommend this places

Jonathan C.

Yelp
I tried their classic Mac and cheese hot dog and it was delicious! The hot dog was served with warm gooey Mac and cheese on top with lettuce and tomatoes and the bread was toasted well. A great light lunch option!

Apollo 7.

Yelp
I love all of the options on the menu! the grilled chicken salad with the special glaze is legendary. some of the best franks and toppings u can find anywhere. excellent customer service and a nice, chill environment make Jordan's a stable on state st. The owner is one of the most genuine dudes you will ever meet. Much continued blessings and success you and your family!

Tom D.

Yelp
Stopped in the other day on my lunch break. Ordered the Mac Supreme dog. Honestly, I was not impressed. Hot dog was bland & boring. And for a hefty price of $7.80 (before tax), the value was seriously lacking. Needless to say, I won't be back. I don't get all the 5 Star reviews for Jordan's Hot Dog's & Mac -- must be a bunch of whacked-out hipsters who frequent the joint. There are plenty of places you could get two tasty dogs for the price of one at Jordan's.

Melissa D.

Yelp
I am a self proclaimed hot dog junkie.. it's super serious. * I give these dogs 4 buns out of 5* The bun was perfectly grilled with butter.. the dog was grilled nicely with desirable color and not all dried out and cracked. I had the bbq bacon dog..good lord is it lovely. The bbq sauce is sweet enough to compliment the salty dog/bacon combo and the cheese on top was perfectly melty.. I also had the Jordan burger (yes all in one sitting)..the fries were crispy and crunchy.. good oil flavor which is something I personally enjoy. The burger was ooook.. the sauce wasn't my favorite but nothing to be mad about. And makes sense the burger was just OK.. it's "Jordan's dog and Mac" duh I really wanted to give 5 stars but had to knock off one because no slaw or pickle came with my order.. of course I got it to go so I could pig out in peace and in my sweat pants.. but discovered I was missing the items by the time I got all the way home.. bummer I'll be checking the order before I depart next time but there will definitely be a next time!

Emily D.

Yelp
I've been meaning to come here for a while, but it seems I'm always craving hot dogs on Sunday (when they're closed). Finally came here the other day and was so glad I did. When you walk in, you immediately feel welcome with the cozy, wooden interior and the movies playing on the tv. I tried the bacon bbq dog and the mac dog supreme and loved both! I appreciated the smokiness of the bacon and the sweetness of the bbq sauce and of course gooey cheese was the cherry on top. The mac and cheese on top of the mac supreme was nice and salty and creamy, and the jalapenos added the perfect acidic bite it needed. The buns were buttery and toasted. Overall a great place if you need some major comfort food combinations.

Rajai A.

Yelp
The hot dogs are excellent but the turkey based chili is otherworldly. Just make sure to order ahead of time they do get swamped.

Niajah M.

Yelp
I placed an order through Uber eats today during my lunch break and when it arrived NOTHING was right. I ordered two Georgia hots, one with only ketchup &. the other with ketchup/mustard. Also, a hot dog with ketchup. The Georgia hots had a huge amount of relish slopped on it &. did not look appetizing AT ALL. I called the owner to let him know and he told me he would deliver the correct order himself for the mistake. Long story short, he never showed up .. never apologized for the incorrect order or anything after volunteering to bring it. Very disappointed.

Cranky E.

Yelp
Don't know why I waited so long to try Jordan's. I had a perfectly grilled Hummel's hot dog. Toasted roll! The service was with a smile behind the mask, too! I'll definitely be returning!

Jean C.

Yelp
I have to put in a good word for the lady at the counter. She was so sweet to my little daughter and me, putting a Disney movie on for us while we waited! The food was delicious as well... we enjoyed the chili dog, the mac and cheese side, and the New Yorker. Highly recommend to anybody who wants a simple lunch!

Benjamin G.

Yelp
We love Cory!!!! And also, these are hands down the best fries in New Haven.

Jake C.

Yelp
Just got take out from this place and ordered the Mac burger with bacon it was so good with their special sauce which is kind of sweet. I was upset I didn't get a double patty on there. Also ordered the bbq chicken bacon fries, were good, only complaint would be there wasn't enough toppings, but the fries you can tell were fresh because they were so crispy still with the bbq sauce. I'll be back, just might do a regular cheese fry next time.

Onoh U.

Yelp
Food is good, location is great. Little bit pricey for my taste but for some reason I keep coming back.

Aliyah M.

Yelp
Loved my Mac Dog Supreme , it was so delicious, very nice gentleman in the front had my order prepped and ready to go the minute I arrived ! It was my first time there and I will definitely be returning!

Kate C.

Yelp
I'm going to say just ok, not bad at all, but not what I had wanted it to be. Friendly staff, comfortable seating. We each had a mac & cheese dog, the menu says it comes with chips & a pickle, there were no chips. We ordered a side of fries and a side of Mac & cheese, the Mac and cheese is what has me at "ehhh" it was microwaved for the side, and it was dry, not creamy like I was expecting, kind of bland. If your store is all about hot dogs and Mac & cheese I would expect killer Mac & cheese. The hot dogs are Hummel's which we love, and are grilled nicely with a good bun, A+ on the dog, C for the Mac.

Jay E.

Yelp
GREAT IDEA; Mac ona dog! the dog is awesome: a nice flatiron char, the bun is toasted perfectly, the mac is not too soft and wet, jalapenos and bacon are yum. This seems to be the perfect post bar-hopping spot, BUT they are not open that late. I went in at around noon and the crowd was minimal but everyone was drawn in by Yelp or FB (grab the Yelp coupon for the free Bacon BBQ Dog). I would have preferred the construction of the supreme to be a little different with possibly a layer of cheese melted on top to hold the mac on the bun. I can get to the point that you will need a fork on the back end to police up all the mac left behind. when in the Elm City, I will return.

Adam S.

Yelp
This is a really small place. One person taking orders and serving it to you. You walk up and order at the register then he comes around and serves it to you. It took a little while for the food to come out. The hotdogs were good tho.

Hanardy H.

Yelp
I have been seeing the Facebook post being shared on my page about how Good the food is so i decided to randomly check in out on day while driving down state. I must say customer service is down to earth and so kind. I took time to explore the menu and finally picked what i want. It was good. I enjoyed it definitely different lol but it was good, I'll be going back.

Hebrew W.

Yelp
Awesome.... The best hot dogs in the whole state. Flavor, flavor, flavor!!!! It's a little spot but is very great. I got a custom hotdog with onions, chili, mustard and on a butter toasted bun. Whenever I come back to New Haven I'm stopping here for sure. No doubt. A+++ in my book

Renée R.

Yelp
I was really wanting this hot dog to live up to what I had read, but it fell short. The actual hotdog was good, bun also good, but... the mac on it was dry and zero flavor. I got the mac dog supreme. The only reason I would go back is in the hopes that the chili dog has more flavor then the mac.

Ken W.

Yelp
We order lunch from Jordan's about one Saturday a month, and I'm surprised I haven't reviewed it, so it's time. I read all eighty-plus reviews posted earlier, and can point out that many of those refer to a previous location, which was pretty much take out or delivery only. Currently, it's located on State Street, near Modern Pizza. It's a much larger space with booths, tables, and restrooms. Parking is often an issue, though, so it loses a star for that, but the food is great! Our go-to to-go order usually consists the New Yorker (sauerkraut, onion sauce, mustard and hot relish, with memories of Gray's Papaya), and the Californian (meat chili, parmesan cheese and fresh chopped onion), with sides of sweet potato fries and onion rings. It's cool that Corey, the owner, remembers our order and gets it going as soon as I walk in. I've got to get him to stop because there are other menu items I'd like to try, like the jalapeño burger. Now that Jordan's does delivery through Grub Hub and Uber Eats, I would hope that some of the delivery issues have been resolved. Unfortunately, though hot dogs, burgers, and fries don't really adapt well to delivery - they cool down quickly and don't reheat well. Since I'm only a few blocks away, I grab a cup of coffee and place my order in person. The food only takes a few minutes to prepare, so online or phone ordering really isn't necessary. When I get home, I pop everything into the oven for a few minutes, and it's time to chow down.

Laila A.

Yelp
Several months ago, I was really in the mood for some indulgence food, so I went to Jordan's. I had read great reviews and was very excited about their creative menu! Before I got there, I had some issues with finding parking. This establishment is in a bustling location, so parking in this area varies. Upon entry to the store, I was cordially greeted by the cashier. She took my to-go order and I waited in the empty restaurant for my food. The ambiance is nice, the establishment was clean, and it offered an open atmosphere. I received my order and headed home. Upon opening my lunch, I saw that the dietary modifications I had requested were not acknowledged. I was rather disappointed in this outcome, especially because the cashier had repeated back my individualized order. Recommendations: -Upon receiving your to-go order, check your food to ensure its accuracy before departing. Verdict: There is potential in Jordan's, although I'm not sure if I'd go out of my way again to dine here.

Yelp
Joint # 58: JORDAN'S HOT DOGS AND MAC, New Haven, CT. Jordan's Hot Dogs and Mac is a relatively new joint (since 2012) that came to be from a cart to a brick and mortar establishment. After speaking to Tiffany (a co-owner), she mentioned that the joint is named after her son who has a special affinity for hot dogs with macaroni and cheese on top. From the outside, the place looks cozy and inviting (I was digging the store front paint job). Upon entering and seeing of photos of hot dogs plastering the walls, it was clear that this place was all about the dog! RATINGS:... John: 9/10, Me: 8.5/10. John said, "We had our typical mustard, onion, sauce. It was a 10 inch dog. It was fantastic, split-top, grilled with a lot of flavor to the dog. The chili was good. When it first came out, I thought the onion on it was going to be overpowering (it was a nice raw onion), but it actually blended in with the mustard and chili combination. The bun was ugh, I guess it would be a split-top bun. Yes, split-top bun: buttered, grilled, held everything in nice. It was delicious. I'm going with a 9 on this dog, for overall on the whole thing...I just loved it. I thought it was great." I said, "Alright, yeah, as Johnny said, we're at Jordan's. The place is pretty legit. I really like the atmosphere (first off). The store front is really an attractive little joint. It has about 8 or 9 tables. Great hospitality upon arrival. They were happy the Dawg Tour came down. We got the usual: the mustard, onion, sauce. I believe they are the 10 inch Hummels. John mentioned they were the split-top, cut right down the middle, then they put them on the griddle. I'll tell you, they are fantastic and they're not too greasy. So they really lock in the flavor. We did them with the mustard and onion and the onion was a little deceptive because it was large, large pieces. I think we both got a little nervous, but the onion was not overpowering and the mustard, while it looked nice (with a pattern), was my one gripe. Usually I am a spicy mustard fan, this was yellow, which is cool, but it was a little much for me. The bun was a beautiful masterpiece. That was a masterpiece, it really was and the flavors were perfect. This thing was toasted perfectly. You can tell, this place knows what they're doing. So, if you are in the New Haven area, come down here, it's on State Street (970), it's really worth your time and for Jordan's, I'm going with an 8.5. I enjoyed it and I recommend this place hands down." facebook.com / The Dawg Tour

Loretta M.

Yelp
Hot dogs are my favorite food. Jordan's hot dogs were good. The chili was really good. My biggest disappointment is that they serve skinny long dogs. I think the hot dog is lost among the toppings and the bread. I would definitely be a repeat visitor if there were a regular short dog option available. Again, Jordan's was good but skinny dogs (and lack of parking) was a turnoff.

Matthew W.

Yelp
After all the pop ups I gave it a try. BBQ Bacon Hot dog was subpar, so I ordered the chili cheese fries. They completely let me down. The portion was sorely lacking in the chili department for the price. Will not be returning.

Kourtney D.

Yelp
Can we say delicious!! The food is great along with the service. It is on street parking so you must be patient when finding a space but it's so worth it! Was there last night after visiting down town.

Andy K.

Yelp
This place gets prompted like crazy on Facebook and Instagram. I only had it the one time, getting a chili dog and fries. The hot dog was, I believe of the beef variety, which I'm a New Haven guy so go Hummel's or go home. Chili was OK, not stand out, but not horrible. The biggest drawback here for me was that they grilled the bun with butter. On hamburgers that's a mark of someone who knows what they're doing. For a hot dog? I wasn't a fan. Listen I'm a fat guy, I love eating the stuff that's not good for me. But with meals there needs to be a balance of flavors and ingredients. This was just a whole lotta grease for me. Grease, butter, fried. I can't recommend it off that but the staff was incredibly friendly. Worth checking out for yourself to support a local business, but I would go for something other than a chili dog and fries. Maybe a burger is the safe way to go?

Kara M.

Yelp
We love Jordan's! The service is awesome! The food is great, no matter what you get! Our personal favorite is the Mac Dog. The fries are good, too.

Alex S.

Yelp
Review in a few words: Delicious hot dogs to go. Speedy/friendly service. Review in full: Stop what you're doing right now. Go to Jordan's and get yourself a hot dog. It doesn't matter which - they're all delicious. Oh you were already eating something? Throw it out and get down to State Street already! You can thank me later. Jordan's is a small shop that features a variety of footlong hot dogs. They have most of the familiar standards (New Yorker/New Englander/Dixie - missing a Chicago dog!), a few new ones on me (Steakhouse dog), and, their real star, the chili mac supreme. It has been said in other reviews but the chili here really is something that must be tried. It doesn't pack much heat but it is sweet and honestly just plain delicious. It combines well with the hot dog and mac and cheese and there also are a number of sides you can throw on at no additional charge (I added tomato and pickle because I was missing my Chicago). Jordan's just hits it out of the park in terms of flavor. Jordan's is cash only and more-or-less a take out only business. They have one small table and two chairs so it is difficult (but not impossible) to eat in. Another thing that must be mentioned is the owner. Jordan is friendly and most importantly proud of his work. This doesn't seem like much at first but it definitely translates into the cooking. Lastly, Jordan's delivers! My first experience with Jordan's was via delivery and it is a nice touch for those lazy days. On the whole Jordan's is a welcome addition to New Haven. I grew up in Fairfield near Super Duper Weenie and this now saves me a drive down 95 whenever I get that nostalgic feeling. Certainly a worthy challenger.

Yelp
Jordan's has a very delicious variety of hot dogs to choose from but the mac & cheese is a master piece, if you ever decide to visit this place you have to try it. Staff is vey nice and friendly, the only downside is parking other wise best hot dogs in New Haven!!!!

Yelp
This is my favourite hot dog place. I don't eat pork or beef so it's awesome they have turkey franks and turkey chilli. My choices of food places to get turkey franks are sorely limited. The chicken melt supreme is my favourite, the chicken is juicy and the sauce is so good, I usually ask for extra sauce. They include drinks with the combos which is nice. The service is always good and they are pleasant people to deal with. Prices are competitive just wish they were a tad cheaper but that doesn't make or break they experience. Only two issues I've ever had was several times I attempted to order turkey franks and they have been out. The other was ordering online, my food isn't usually labels and it's not always easy to tell the turkey franks from the others (they revealed they use two links for the turkey) so when we've placed a large order I gave mine away out of fear of eating a beef or pork link.

Yelp
Food is good, buttery toasted bun , food was tasty . The only reason I'm giving 3.5 stars is because of the high prices and I wish the girl at the counter was a bit more welcoming . But the food tastes good. I've been there once so maybe I'll give it another shot.
