Amazing food and service! Our waitress Stacy was phenomenal! We started with the wurst sampler, then ordered the mutti’s jaeger schnitzel and the goulash, and had bread pudding and tiramisu — all were so delicious! The tiramisu is a must any time you come in!!

We enjoyed our experience overall! Food tasted delicious. Our only negative thought is that the portions are small compared to the price. Otherwise, a lovely experience

Been wanting to try this place for a while, and it did not disappoint! Tried the wurst sampler.. so good! So many different flavored sausage samples, and it gives me an idea of what I might order next time. I’ve had many breaded schnitzels elsewhere before, but was intrigued by a sautéed version on the menu. Got the Jagerschnitzel.. so so good! Spaetzle noodles were great, perfect for taking in every drop of the sauce. Also enjoyed sides of potato salad and red cabbage. My favorite was the Apple Streudel! Loved it! Service was really great, very attentive. Fun place!

Absolutely delicious from start to finish! We had a fantastic experience at Jörg’s Café Vienna in Downtown Plano. The food was authentic, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We started with the pretzel cones and a savory cheese spread—warm, soft, and perfectly salty. The main dishes were just as memorable: crispy schnitzel with tangy potato salad and a bratwurst plate that came with rich sauerkraut. The drinks were a highlight too—a jalapeño martini and a decadent chocolate espresso cocktail that was almost dessert in itself. Speaking of dessert, the apple strudel was heavenly—flaky, warm, and topped with whipped cream and a side of rum sauce that brought it all together. Not just a top restaurant in Plano, a must-visit in Dallas. Every dish is excellent, try them all with a German beer. The liptauer teller is perfection. The weinerschnitzel is the best outside of grandma's haus in Germany. End the night with a coffee and dessert, all are phenomenal. I bring my family every time, we even ate here on my wedding night.

This place has the best ham & cheese in Dallas. We also tried their fried cheese that was excellent, I definitely recommend it to try something different. They of course have a spread of delicious beers to try, I got the Halles and loved it. On top of that, they’ve got super kind servers who take their job very seriously. We had a tiny issue with the meal, and Jorg’s responded generously and did their best to fix it. If you’re walking through Plano or searching Dallas for a good Austrian spot, make it Jorg’s! Jorg's has to be (and is) the most spectacular place to eat in Plano period. I've been going here for nearly 20 years and I have yet found another restaurant that matches the charisma, energy and great authentic food that this place serves. Jorg himself tends to each person as if they were part of his family and when you leave, you leave with a fulfillment that generally doesn't come from any other restaurant. I've never been displeased by any aspect of the business and im sure their are many more years to come. My family's favorite meals are the Budapest sausage meals and for me the self made vodka/jalapeño is the best drink a person has ever had the pleasure of experiencing. This place is just WOW through and through.

Wowowow. Three words: this is Vienna! I don't often on a whim go to a restaurant without looking at the menu or yelp ;) first but I had a really good feeling I haven't seen a restaurant specifically for Austrian cuisine much less an authentic one!!!! When you first walk in you see so many beautiful banners and pictures on the walls- all mementos from the owners travels and lives. This a family owned establishment- the husband is from Austria and grew up there and the wife is from the states but have spent lots of time in Vienna as well. My husband and I had the pleasure of finding all this and more history about the place from the wife. She was sweet to check up on us to make sure we were having a good experience and answered all the questions we had. To make the experience even more amazing, their son, who was working here part time to help out on busy days, was super cool and friendly! Even though the place was PACKED he never made us feel neglected and was so friendly and welcoming. We ordered a chicken schnitzel meal and a sausage sampler platter. Tasty scale: 12/10!!!!! Made me have a flashback from when I visited Vienna on a school trip. So fresh and delightful! The real surprise were the fries like so perfectly salted and crispy. Also even though I'm not a huge beer drinker I did love their Hefeweizen beer - the common American beer just is not even comparable to that at all! So so good. My husband tried another beer which was nice as well. And as a "dessert" I had apple schnapps. That was so dangerously good I could've had so many of those I swear! I would love to make a reservation next time and sit at the bar to talk to the other owner. I have a best friend who studied German in school and is still able to hold a conversation in that language and I know her and her husband would love to check this place out with me. I cannot wait! The one thing which isn't bad in any means is that the restaurant is super popular and we got in just in time. So go early like right at 5 if you want a table and to be safe make reservations or you'll be waiting out the door! I wish the best for this establishment and can't say enough praise!

Unfortunately, tonight's dinner was the worst experience I have ever had at Jorg's. Ourserver​ was Laura. We arived at 5:30pm and were able to place our appetizer order immediately. Our server then dissapeared, and the few times we saw her she said she had forgotten her pad and would be right back. we were finally able to put in our order at 6p...the table next to us arrived at 615 and ordered shortly after they sat down. After some delay, however, they were served similar dishes to what we ordered (cream schnitzels) at least 15 minutes before ours was served. When our food did finally arrive, after i had to walk to the kitchen to see what was going on, it arrived at the table not even warm, but cold. Laura did offer to have to have it re-made, but after just having explained to us that the delay was "all the kitchen staff's fault," we felt that having to wait another 45 minutes wasn't the best choice. While the delay certainly could have been an issue in the kitchen, that type of delay should have at least prompted someone in authority to drop by the table to explain. From experience, though, cold food is almost never​ the kitchen's fault. It means the food sat, waiting for the server to pick it up. When I mentioned the issue to another server on the way out, his response was just as worthless. He just looked at me like I was crazy. I realize I'm not a regular weekly customer, I only visit a few times a year, but I have been visiting Jorg's for many years, and have eaten there dozens of times. This time I have brought along guests for a first time experience at what I thoigh would be one of the best restaurants in the area. Even during the worst of meals, I have never had such a disappointing experience. I am sad to say that I won't be back, since your restaurant was such a special place to me.

The Liptauer was authentic and good; the goulash is served in a big soup dish, lots of it. The beef is tender, but there are no onions and the dumplings do not taste home made. Not enough paprika, and I like mine with caraway and a dash of vinegar. I thought it was too bland and did not taste authentic. More like a beef stew. My American husband thought it was great. My paprika schnitzel was disappointing as that, too, had very little bite to it. A boned piece of chicken breast in a very creamy, bland sauce. Again, those dumplings that tasted like out of a Maggi package, not soft enough to absorb the sauce. I guess I expected a real piece of chicken with bone in a dark sauce with red and green peppers. If you don't know the original, it was fine I guess. The place was packed and we did not have a reservation. We were seated in the 'beer garden, which was fine. To get to it you walked through a messy, dark storage room. I enjoyed the authentic hokey Austrian music. The little garden is cozy and comfy. Service was friendly and attentive. This is such a nice little place in downtown Plano. We went for date night, We wanted something different and this was a very pleasant experience. Their customer service is top notch. You MUST get the pretzels! Food was really good, I wish We had saved room for dessert because they have some really good options on their menu. Loved the ambiance, it's a must try.

Great customer service and lively atmosphere, the inside of the restaurant is small but cozy! We went as a party of 2 right before dinner hours and didn't have to wait, however it definitely gets busy fast so try to get a reservation to avoid long wait times. Food is very good, the sauces really enhance the dishes and we left with a full belly. Would definitely come back again!

Today we took some friends here for lunch as a thank you. They had never tried Austrian food. We started with the pretzel bread and cheese spread appetizer. Our guy friend ordered bratwurst with pommes frites. Our lady friend ordered a chicken Schnitzel and potato salad. My husband ordered Oma's (not breaded, with a paprika cream sauce) and spatzle noodles. I ordered the same thing as my lady friend. My husband and I shared, as we usually do. Our friends raved about the amazing cuisine. Our guy friend told the waiter "Kudos to the chef!" They were very happy with their meals, as were we with ours. We walked down the street and had a gelato for dessert. There are a lot of good restaurants, coffee shops, and dessert shops in downtown Plano. This is just one of them. Our guy friend noted how attractive in terms of entertainment and food downtown Plano has become.

This place is the REAL DEAL! We follow a foodie group who said reservations are necessary for Saturday & Sunday so glad we did! All the food was amazing starting with the soft pretzel beer cheese and German mustard and ending with an amazing Apple strudel served traditionally with a rum cream sauce. Fun atmosphere with every German beer you can imagine! Can't wait to go back and try the bratwurst next time!

I LOVED this spot. When we walked in, we instantly felt transported to Vienna. It was decorated in beer signs and other fun memorabilia. Our waiter warned us she was the only one working, but even with so many tables she was super quick and friendly. The food was delicious. We started with the liptauer teller - oh my gosh - so good! For my meal, I got the fried cheese and spatzle. My friend ordered the budapest bratwurst and said it was wonderful. My favorite part of the meal had to be the Sacher Torte! I really liked it because it wasn't quite as rich as other chocolate cakes. It had a wonderful fruity flavor, too. I look forward to returning!

This was a very nice surprise. We thought we were stopping in for some bar food, but this turned out to be a really tasty meal served with top-notch service! This place is like stepping into another world with the decor and Austrian music. We will definitely be back! There are many more things on the menu I want to try. For the last twenty years, I would have held fast to the opinion that Jörg's was one of my all-time favorite restaurants. I first ate there after returning from an exchange program living in Bavaria, and the food at Jörg's reminded me fondly of my host mother's home-cooked meals. Things at Jörg's however, have changed. And not for the better. The restaurant once prided itself on the authenticity of its food, but Jörg has chosen the path of least resistance as of late. The cream schnitzels, for example, used to include red cabbage and *two* cutlets or either pork or chicken. Now the price has increased, and we're down to one cutlet and no cabbage. You have to order it as a side which costs an outrageous $5.50. When you consider that the red cabbage is made in-house (and it, at least, is still delicious as ever), Jörg is raking in a fortune over-charging German/Austrian food lovers. As to the schnitzels: they were once robust, hand-tenderized, hefty slabs of Austrian protein. The now single cutlet is a thin, pitiful imitation of its proud ancestor (and, I suspect, frozen). I order Oma's Paprika Schnitzel, which has always been the crown jewel of Jörg's menu. It was devastatingly under-seasoned and bland. At $20, I expected the same perfection from the past, but the flavor simply wasn't there. Perhaps most disappointing was the goulash. My wife ordered it, which came in a bowl large enough to scrub your laundry in. The goulash was thin and watery, with five measly, very tough pieces of beef within. And the goulash was *swimming* in spätzle (presumably to give the dish some substance). Bear in mind that the goulash used to be a thick, chunky stew of tender meat that had recently slipped off the bone, and it was served on a plate over some spätzle. This is an important point, because customers once had the option of ordering the goulash or the goulash Suppe (soup). Now, at $25.95, you can only get a thin, under-seasoned soup with barely any protein. It was a massive bummer to go to my former favorite restaurant and have such pitiful fare. And at $80 for only my wife and I to have a meal and one beer each, it feels like a scam. I'm not saying that Jörg's is too expensive, but rather that I'd pay even more for food that was actually delicious. Shame, Jörg, shame. (As a side note, we had to take the goulash soup home, and after heating some up and adding a pinch of salt and some actual spicy Hungarian paprika I had lying around, it tasted half-way decent).

Took my daughter to Jörg's cafe after soccer game. The service by Sarah was top notch. She recommended some good choices from the menu. We started with the pretzel with beer cheese. Pretzels were hot and fresh and the beer cheese was the perfect compliment. I had a spicy sausage plate. The sausage was outstanding. The dish came with sauerkraut and potato salad. The sauerkraut was a semi sweet version. The potato salad was ok, but needed a little seasoning. My daughter had the Spätzle. She liked it but it needed a sauce. She told me a butter sauce would have been perfect for the dish. We definitely will be back when we come to Plano. We did sit out on the small patio in the back of the restaurant. It was a perfect day for outdoor dining.

Service is not very nice, or attentive. Very haphazard and careless (I think our server was Stephanie). Food is overpriced and VERY mediocre. It's not inedible, but I would not feed it to my dog. I went here because I wanted strudel. Judging by how stale the puff pastry was, and how sizzling hot the inside was, it is definitely microwaved. The slice is very thin and the cream is from a can. The owner is supposedly actually Austrian, but the food was completely different from the various Austrian cities and regions I have stayed in. The decor is red checkered tablecloth and Bavarian flags. This one is definitely catered toward the American locals ....

If you're in the mood for authentic Austrian cuisine and a lively atmosphere, this restaurant is a must-visit! Firstly, I highly recommend calling ahead and making a reservation. Although they don't seem to be listed on reservation apps, you can easily call them to secure a table. The restaurant is not very spacious, so getting a table on a busy weekend night or for a larger group without a reservation might prove challenging. Once inside, you'll immediately feel the warm and playful ambiance, with walls adorned with Austrian memorabilia and beer flags strung across the middle. It's an ideal spot to unwind with a cold beer and relish the lively vibe. Our server impressed us with their excellent service and an added touch of traditional leaderhosen attire. To start our dining experience, we took their recommendation of a warm, in-house drink, the name of which I unfortunately can't recall, but your server will surely be able to recommend it. They also boast a fantastic selection of European beers, which were our next choices. For an appetizer, we savored their delicious Pretzel, which came with a flavorful spread and was perfectly complemented by their delectable mustard. Our entrees included the Schweine Wienerschnitzel, which I ordered, and my friend chose the Oktoberfest Brat. All meals come with a side, but swapping to other sides is an option for some with an additional cost. Their sourkrout side was exceptional and highly recommended. To round off our dining experience, we opted for the Chocolate Mousse Berry cake, which was a sublime end to a fantastic meal. Overall, this restaurant is ideal for those seeking an enjoyable dining experience, authentic Austrian food, a great selection of beers, and a lively atmosphere.

I haven't been there in years, cause I'm poor and can't afford to eat out anymore. It was alway a great place for food and drink.

I hope this pic goes through even though it is impossible for a picture to do this dish justice...I have been blessed to dine in a number of different countries and have enjoyed excellent dishes from food trucks in Texas to five star restaurants from Dallas to Vegas to Paris, and this dish was top five. An exquisite rack of lamb, buttered potatoes, roasted carrots, cream of mushroom soup, and the most amazing tiramisu...My unabashed admiration to Chef Jorg is nothing short of hero worship in the culinary realm. My taste buds salute you Sir, I shall forever be a fan...

Went to Jorg's last night for the first time & really enjoyed it. Very welcoming staff. Fun atmosphere with pictures and steins all around. Small, only 13 tables, so if busy you'll have to wait. Recommend reservations. Great wursts & beer. Try the pretzel appetizer! We will for sure be back!

Actually we loved our experience there! The food was yummy, service fine and the ambiance made me almost feel like I was in Austria. Cute! Pretzel was amazing and my dish was delightful. My companion enjoyed hers too!

What a special hole in the wall. Unlike anything else I've ever tasted, delicious delicious food omg!! Service is so filled with energy and enthusiasm, beer is awesome and in huge glasses, never disappoints. Highly recommend if you're looking for rich, homey, delicacies.

This is a very modest location. More of an old- world Inn than a traditional restaurant. This certainly enhances the ambiance.Reservations are STRONGLY recommended - and allow adequate time to find a parking space which may be challenging. Our group of four were promptly seated at our reservation time, as the place was packed. The service was very personable and good. The menu is certainly focused on popular dishes from Vienna. Our orders arrived promptly and were prepared perfectly. We will look forward to coming here again.

Great food, great beers, great vibes. This is a lively and fun place for dinner. We've been here twice with our toddler and we've all loved it. We've tried the brats, brat burger, schnitzel, and the pretzel appetizer. Everything is simple and satisfying. I've only given four stars because of the inconsistency in service between our two visits. One waitress was attentive, friendly, and upbeat. The other never introduced herself, and was pretty lackluster. We had one time the high chair buckle was broken. Nothing disastrous and hoping those were one-time things. Note: call ahead and get a reservation. This place is popular!

I loved the atmosphere here and the food was amazing. Definitely get the pretzels with the cheese dip (aka Liptauer Teller). If you're getting a breaded Schnitzel definitely pair it with one of the sauces. I suggest making a reservation ahead of time because it can get pretty crowded some nights. We were a group of 6 and didn't have to wait at all since we made a reservation.

Austrian cuisine is a rarity in the states, and Jörg's brings that to Plano. This restaurant competes well in a restaurant scene in downtown Plano that is among the very best in Texas. The service is great, the food is delicious (and priced well), and they have all the German/austrian beer you could want. Highly recommend.

If you are here for business and have American Express as your method of payment....FYI They don't take it‍ I ordered the sausage platter as my dinner with red cabbage and spetzela .( it doesn't come with gravey, all of the different flavors of sausage , red cabbage and the sauerkraut were good. The spetzela needed gravy... I know I should of ordered something that came with gravy. I also ordered bread pudding to go. My husband would of loved it , had a almond paste flavor : )

I get a craving for German/Austrian food now and then so during our visit to the Dallas area, my wife and I found this place on Yelp and ended up having dinner here. The food, the service, and the atmosphere were all excellent. My wife ordered the mutti's chicken jaeger shnitzel and I ordered the schweine wienerschnitzel. The chicken dish came with some spatzle and the pork dish came with Austrian potato salad. We also ordered two additional sides: marinated sauerkraut and braised red cabbage. Everything was well prepared and tasted great. The pork, however, was surprisingly thin, much thinner than I was accustomed to. The dish was still delicious but the breading outsized the pork. My wife's chicken dish was tasty and the mushroom sauce was a great complement to the dish. They had a full bar that offered various German beers. We finished the meal with an apfel strudel, which was plenty for us to share and was excellent.

I've been here before and liked the food and then years passed before I was able to come back to Jorgs. Their menu if different now. They have narrowed down options but those options are amazing! I had the Schweine Wienerschnitzel. I was expecting the norm but what came was new and great. Crispy Wienerschnitzel, great mustard dip and a light oniony cold potato salad. Oh it all was SO good! If you never had schnitzel before try it without sauce and then maybe sauce later. I, also, drank Liebfraumilch white wine. Really good and complimented my food perfect! My oldest son had the black forest schnitzel sandwich...he cannot remember the exact name. It has schnitzel, ham, and Swiss cheese. He really enjoyed it. I think it took him 5secs to inhale it. Try the Tiramisu, which comes like an ice cream scoop and strudel and make sure to dunk it a little bit in the rum sauce!

Unique atmosphere. Must visit if you've never been. Order the weiner schnitzel . But everything's is great. Perfect pretzels.

Very loud but good food. The waitress we had seemed to be in a rush and wasn't as attentive as we had liked. But overall, pretty good food. The service could be better. And the seating could be better as well. I'm Asian and I felt like we were seated at a tight spot and I felt claustrophobic and not even enough elbow room when eating.

Jorg's is our favorite Austrian/German food in the metroplex. We travel from Denton to eat there. They have several types of schnitzel, great german potato salad, and of course great sausages. Their beer is great. I always get heafevisen, and I'm not much of a beer drinker. Their bar is always hopping with people. Take note of their business hours and allow time to find parking.

We both had the Jagerschnitzle with potato salad and it was great. I also highly recommend the pretzel with mustard and an order of sauerkraut. Next time I'll try the Bratwurst

Delicious and authentic food with a unique beer and alcohol offering you don't find many places. A restaurant I hadn't been to in years but became a must go when I found it nearby and my group having not experienced it. You won't regret it!

So many amazing appetizer options! Very cozy and cute interior. Felt like I was back in Munich again. :o) Huge portion sizes; really enjoyed the gravy on my Jager Schnitzel! Even though the waitstaff and kitchen were short-staffed, I felt like we got our food super quickly considering how many diners there were! Our waitress Stacy (I believe her name was) was an absolute rockstar!

Best wiener schnitzel in the DFW area, by far... never greasy or soggy, always crispy and fresh. Great fries, fresh salads, and don't miss the Liptauer teller (herb cream cheese with warm, soft pretzels). Their sachertorte (chocolate cake with a layer of jam) is very good for dessert.

Wonderful hidden gem smack in the middle of downtown Plano! Charming decor and ambiance, great selection of European beverages and food is solid! Had the schnitzel and wurst; I personally prefer the schnitzel and sampled several of their beverages :) Can't wait to return for some good authentic European charm!

I actually just moved back from Germany and compared to a lot of so called German restaurants I've had in the states, this was wonderful. I would highly recommend and will gladly be returned several time! Jorg is a wonderful host and the entire atmosphere is inviting. 10/10 would go again!
