Jo's Coffee – Symphony Square

I don't think I've ever been to a Jo's coffee house before, but I did enjoy my first time. It is definitely a place where you can go and work but also just have a drink because they do have some alcohol options for like later in the afternoon. They also have breakfast tacos, and some pastries. Just to note tacos are premade so you can't make any edits to it so that was the downside for me because I don't really love cheese and all the tacos except for the vegan one has cheese. But I love meat in my tacos. My coffee was pretty good and you have some options for adding flavor to it . Also the staff was super nice and honest about giving advice on what to order. Parking : So there's definitely some street parking and in the garage that's connected to this location. There are limited parking spots for guests of Jo's coffee. And apparently there's like a drag happy hour on Sundays so I'm gonna have to go at some point because that sounds like fun. Also, definitely a good place to go work in the morning was pretty quiet. Don't know how routed might get later during the day. But I could definitely see myself going and getting work done.

Ordered takeout at Jo’s Coffee at around 10am so unfortunately a lot of their breakfast items were sold out including the Breakfast Burrito and the sandwich. I ended up ordering their Migas Taco ($4.50 each) with egg, pico, and cheese. They’re individually wrapped in foil and served with either their green (spicy) or red (mild) sauce. They looked underwhelming but were pretty tasty and somewhat filling. For coffee, I ordered one of their signature drinks called the Belgian ($5.25 small)— their signature coffee with chocolate and hazelnut mixed with cold brew. It tasted really good but for some reason our coffees looked under filled when we received them. Not sure if it might have been because we asked for whipped cream? The inside of the shop has lots of seating with benches for larger groups and more secluded tables in the back. If we’re ever in the area again, I’d love to try their other breakfast items.

I just flew into Austin yesterday and my family recommended I try breakfast at Jo’s. I was not disappointed. The breakfast sandwich was a delicious combination of flavors. The employees were very friendly and I enjoy some quiet time reading and enjoying my sandwich.

This place has events that you have to RSVP for and yet nobody can give you any information once you get to said event of where things are happening. There wasn’t anyone there at the event, not even the organizer. They need to not host events if they are going to be so poorly organized and not communicated. It takes two seconds to inform staff when and where the event is happening on their premises. I was told that several others had also asked about events there like me to no avail. I asked to speak to a manager and was told no that they were out of town and not even given a name of who to reach or asked for my number to get a call from a manager at a later date. They could have at least offered me customer service by not just leaving me completely hanging and confused. I just wanted my dog to interact with other dogs and dog lovers at a dog meetup that was supposed to be happening. Instead it was a dead end and waste of time driving 20 minutes all the way there. I ended up going to Zilker Park which was another 20 minute drive.

This is my go to spot for cold brew! The staff is always friendly and service is quick. I am also excited about them now hosting Drag Bingo every month! I highly recommend their bean and cheese breakfast taco.

Peaceful atmosphere, perfect spot to focus and, all the time I needed to finish my painting while taking my breakfast without any interruptions. Thank you all for the amazing service! Highly recommend.
