Such a good brunch! I got the veggie omelette and a side of sausage. The omelette was loaded with veggies and cheese, and the sausage was SO good. Love that they offer a variety of sides to choose from. Super quick service as well. Highly recommend!

Google
I had the two egg breakfast with potatoes and added a side of fruit. My husband got the steak with potatoes. The potatoes were amazing! They were so good that I came back a second time that week.

Google
The breakfast potatoes were so burnt they were literally charred black in spots. I could not distinguish the potatoes from onions or peppers. Biscuits were overcooked and harden on both top and bottom. Ham & cheese omelet was good. In my experience, whomever was cooking was inexperienced because 2 of our 3 meals were severely overcooked. As a result, I would not recommend this business for breakfast.

Google
This was a quaint diner. The food was delicious and of good quality. I got French toast and eggs. My husband got a burger with tater tots. We both also got a dinner to go. The mashed potatoes were the best I have ever had. The staff were attentive and not pushy.

We really enjoyed our visit to Jo's. It's been on my list for a while, and I'm glad we finally made it. We stopped in after a day at Comic-Con with some family who also happened to be in San Diego. it was relatively late on a Sunday night, about 8PM (when they close at 9). They were perfectly accommodating for a party of 10 including a wheelchair. All the food looked and tasted excellent and quite frankly I was shocked that nothing was "out" or "unavailable" considering the time of day. And we really ordered things from all across the menu, including French toast, pancakes, short rib French dip, steak frites. meatloaf, chili con carne, etc. With a party of 10, you could imagine the diverse tastes and palates. And yet everybody loved everything that we had as we shared a lot across the table. It's not too often you find a place where everyone likes everything on the menu, but that's the case here at Jo's diner. I personally ordered the meat loaf and it was outstanding! One of the best I've ever had, truly tremendous. The bacon wrap was very crunchy, which added great texture and the demi-glace was amazingly flavourful. It was a featured item on DDD (Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives) I highly recommend 👌🏼

Google
I’m sooooo bummed! I’m used to thick meatloaf with a heavy slab of that tomato paste icing on top… I’ve never had bacon on my meatloaf before. Maybe it’s just a preference thing! The flavor wasn’t bad just not what this pregnant girl was craving. The mashed potatoes were bland but tasted fresh. Same with the green beans. I don’t believe the portion size was worth what I paid either 🥺 But the lady who took my order was very friendly. Just wanted to leave an honest review without trashing.

Google
I felt dinery (I know it’s not a word, but it’s how I felt). So I looked up diners near me (Eastlake area of Chula Vista). I stumbled on a 4.6 rating & checked out the menu. Unbeknownst to me, Jo’s diner was affiliated with Guy Fieri’s Diners, Drive-Ins, & Dives. While fasting I love to watch his show (while not fasting as well). I watched the snippets of the episode where Guy Fieri tasted the Short Rib French Dip Sandwich & the Jo’s Meatloaf dishes. They both looked & sounded satisfying. My husband & I decided to go. We arrived within 30 min. & parked right in front for free given that it was the Juneteenth holiday. Entering the quaint restaurant we sat on a cushioned & pillowed banquette that looked nice. I’d definitely love for the pillows to be cleaned often. That didn’t deter me though. There was a nice & interesting piece of art on the wall of Olive Oil which brought back childhood memories. To the left of that artwork was Guy Fieri’s stamp of approval which I’d never seen in person because this was a first time eating at one of his picks. I couldn’t wait to order the Short Rib French Dip Sandwich. Then I ordered the Stuffed French Toast. My husband ordered the Fish & Chips. He then ordered the Banana Fosters French Toast a la mode for dessert. My goodness! Everything exceeded our expectations. The only issue we had was that the Fish & Chips portion size was very small & the price was very high. We would not order that again for those 2 reasons even though it was good. The Short Rib French Dip Sandwich was sensational. The Stuffed French Toast was delectable & lastly the Banana Fosters French Toast a la mode dessert was hittin’ everything. It was dreamy.

Yelp
Definitely will return! What a great find. Not your typical diner. It has excellent food and wine, excellent service. And no additional hidden service charge. We had dinner, but everything on the menu looked so good that we want to try breakfast next.

Yelp
Ok so had higher hopes for this place. Always love to support local small businesses and the fact that Guy has stoped here with DDD was a big seller for me. Brought my friend with me and she had one of the egg Benedict dishes. Looked beautiful and plated well. We both had coffee which took a while due to only one waiter working the entire space. Unfortunately this cuts on service for all and timeliness with food delivery, checking in on our needs and time management. There was a huge table of tourists in the middle of the small diner with several teenage boys who kept going in/out of the restaurant. It was so loud and distracting to all who hadn't been helped or were forced to listen to their conversations, kids bored out of their minds and parents dreaming of a Sandals vacation. Once our french press coffee finally came, it was close to 30 minutes later. I had the chicken and pesto sandwich with tots. Tots were great. The sandwich itself lacked in flavor. Very disappointing. It needed more acid, more spread, more flavor. I only ate half and gave up on the flavor. A bonus is the bathroom was very clean and there is parking behind the restaurant. There was no music playing which may have helped out with the noisy group in the middle. Hopefully for the regulars in this neighborhood, there are more than one wait staff at this place. In hindsight, if the waiter would have asked the rowdy group in the center to please control their children it would have helped the dining experience. We sat on the bench seating by the door and having cold air constantly hit your body with no warm coffee and constant talking and yelling is definitely not how you should spend a breakfast.

Yelp
Came here during an emergency. Aka we didn't want to cook and we were getting hangry and this was the only place that was opened that looked appetizing that wasn't a burger place. Came in and we were one of two parties in there. Five people total. Which made the service super quick. The kitchen had just closed but they decided to make one last meal for us which was nice. I had the fried fish and my partner had the Short Rib French dip. My fish and chips were great. The coleslaw was actually really good. Usually at these types of places it's nauseating. So compliments to the chef. The French dip wasn't as great unfortunately. That resembled more like diner food. It was a straight forward place. I liked the yellow walls and the big windows that let in a lot of light. The wait staff makes the place brighter with their smile and demeanor. Other diners are 2 or maybe 3 stars. And so it's nice to find a four star place.

Yelp
My sister and I came here for lunch and we were not disappointed. My sister and I shared grandma Jo's lumpia, and that was pretty good. Then I had the French onion soup which is one of the best I've had. The meatloaf here is really tender and juicy and flavorful. I also had my sisters ham and cheese omelette with brussels sprouts and that was really good too.

Yelp
Food, service, and ambiance is great! Ramon is an "over-the-top" waiter. Everything is awesome! Split grilled cheese, onion soup and meatloaf dinner. Weird combination, but delicious! The chocolate malt is amazing, too! I even complimented the cook as we left! If I could leave more than 5 stars I would!!

Yelp
Came here after being on a diner binge. This place was on the food network so I was excited to give this place a try. Parking is very easy in Mission Hills. We were seated promptly. Service was very good. I ordered their suggested meatloaf, which was very flavorful. My only gripe with this place, was that the portions didn't feel much like a diner. I left feeling hungry.
google avatar

Angela M.

Yelp
A neat little dinner in the middle of Mission Hills offering delightfully not so traditional diner food. They have a wide selection of breakfast/brunch items to salads and dinner platters. I had their cinnamon buttermilk pancakes and it was one of the best pancakes I had. While its size might be smaller than what you would have at other diners, you can taste the quality here. The batter is super smooth and I don't know how to describe it, almost a liquidity fluid was to the pancake when you eat it. You can't go wrong pairing it with some sausage and eggs! Our server was really nice and the whole dining experience was lovely. The diner offers parking at the back of the restaurant, which is convenient considering the location where it's all metered parking.

Yelp
So we try to hit as many Triple D places as possible, especially when we travel. We came down for the Reign game and as this place is only 2.5 miles from our hotel and the Pechanga Arena, it was an easy choice. Ysa had the Chicken Pesto sandwich which she really enjoyed. I had the meatloaf (as did Guy) with garlic mashed and green beans, and a side of Mac and Cheese. The meatloaf was juicy and very good as were the potatoes and beans. The Mac and Cheese was the way I make it at home and was delicious! I'm glad we came and will be back the next time we get to SD

Yelp
Honestly, Jo's is a 4.5, so I rounded up. The BEST sausage gravy biscuits in San Diego (downhill alert for Hob Nob). The biscuits were small, tender, fully cooked and good enough to eat plain. Jo's solved the "why does sausage in sausage gravy taste overcooked?". The gravy is a creamy white sauce topped with scallions and freshly cooked, flavorful sausage. Seriously good - MUCH better than Sunnyboy biscuits. The stuffed French toast was really stuffed - it didn't need syrup. I love meatloaf so I ordered Jo's version. I would say it was a 4/5 - one of the best in San Diego but a bit too dark and heavy for me. I prefer a fluffier meatloaf. That said, it wasn't greasy at all. Also, the green beans were surprisingly good - as in, we were fighting over them. Finally the short rib benedict. The short ribs were a 5 - not fatty but super tender and meaty. Too bad the hollandaise sauce tasted like it was made from a mix. I don't think it was bc Jo's diner doesn't do mixed...but I ended up pushing it off the short ribs and I LOVE hollandaise so... Also, the coffee was disappointing. But some great dishes and also wonderful wonderful service rounds up the 4.5 to a 5

Yelp
Sean was our server & was on top of it- Super friendly, fast, & attentive. What makes this place 5 stars is the FOOD!! This is one of those hole in the wall spots that has the most amazing food!! So fresh, tasty, and delicious!! The flavors, the options, the spices! Hands down the best Mac & cheese you will ever have in the city.. it's so cheesy and you can taste the various cheeses! Also, the stuffed French toast is a close runner up. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu really. This is our new breakfast spot!

Yelp
Came in for breakfast on a Wednesday and there wasn't a wait. Our server was attentive and pleasant. I didn't know this place was on diners and drives but apparently it was. Was it worthy of being on that show? You bet it was! Here's what I had: French toast and eggs- Brioche heaven! The strawberry was fresh and the bread was oh-so tasty! 5 of 5 stars! Eggs Benedict- Extremely good! The eggs were perfect and the potatoes are AMazing! 5 of 5 stars! Service- on point from beginning to end. 5 of 5 stars! I have zero complaints and I'm coming back for sure.

Yelp
Came in early for breakfast after dropping the hubby at the airport. When I say early, it was right when they opened. The food was great, the service was ok... it was early so she might have just been getting into the groove of things. I had the spinach and goat cheese omelette as a scramble and the biscuits and gravy. I knocked off a star because it smelled like cleaning solution when I walked in.... Which wasn't pleasant to smell as I drank my coffee.

Yelp
We went here because it was featured on Triple D's. The French toast was good, really soft and thick brioche bread, but a little lacking in sweetness. The short rib French dip was awesome and definitely something that I would come back to enjoy. The meat was tasty and there was enough cheese and the au jus had good flavor too.

Janice S.

Yelp
My husband and I live in Arizona and saw Jo's on Drive In Diners and Dives. It did not disappoint! French press coffee. Breakfast was excellent!!! Service was friendly and fast. We will be back this week before we leave for home!

Yelp
Located off of Washington and we were lucky enough to find street parking! Although I've read they have additional parking located behind the restaurant. Small little spot dishing out delicious food. Not the spot for large crowds. If in the area though, it is a must to stop by and grab some good eats! Customer service was good. Table big enough to hold 5 max. I had their short rib Benedict. Perfect proportion and house potatoes were amazing! It's just a plus that this spot was visited by Guy Fieri! Condiments were served a little weird, in small portion serving dishes instead of just passing us a bottle of ketchup or tobacco. I guess its just different times ever since COVID.

Yelp
The word "diner" is a little misleading. This wasn't quite the diner I was expecting. I went in hungry and was underwhelmed by my meal. I ordered biscuits and gravy and the biscuits were the size of a half dollar. The sausage in the gravy was a couple cut up links. I left hungry and a little sad.

Yelp
We came last Thursday night. Just a few tables, so the restaurant was quiet and very tranquil. We got a giggle that "Murder She Wrote" was playing (with CC on) over the bar. The Hubs found this diner from DDD, and that show has never led us wrong. Hubs enjoyed the braised short rib sandwich with tater tots. And I enjoyed the braised short rib dinner with blue cheese mashed potatoes and roasted carrots. Everything was wonderful! Meat was tender and super flavorful. Not pictured but HIGHLY recommended is the chocolate ganache milkshake. It was hands-down the most amazing milkshake I have ever had. It was rich, creamy, and the most decadent chocolate shake I have ever consumed. I got mine to go and enjoy back at our hotel.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite spots in Mission Hills to grab happy hour deals when I can make it over here in time on weekdays. Their happy hour goes from 3-6 on weekdays. All of their wines by the glass are only $6.50 which (let's be honest) is my main reason for coming here. It's nice that I can explore a few different wines at such a low price. They also have a $5 burger deal during happy hour. I did not order, but I saw one go by my table and it's a very hefty portion. I ordered the steak and onions which is covered in grilled red onions, blue cheese crumbles and a red wine reduction --only for $9.50! I also got some sweet potato fries that come with garlic aioli for $5.50. It's usually very calm inside the restaurant and plenty of great booths to choose from. They have a few outside seating options on Washington street and the back of the restaurant too.

Yelp
We arrived at around 10:30 on a Sunday and were seated right away. Definitely didn't expect that as we anticipated a large brunch crowd! Unfortunately, the service didn't really meet our expectations after we got our menus. Again, there were plenty of open tables and there wasn't a crowd waiting. It was about 15 minutes before they took our food and drink order. We asked for a couple coffees, some orange juice and sparkling water. It took another 15 minutes for us to get any of those drinks. The orange juice was great! Being a breakfast diner-type spot, we thought they would have a hot pot of coffee ready to go. For some reason they like to brew coffee using French presses? Normally I'd be ok with this, but they let the coffee sit for way too long. By the time it got to us it was very bitter and sludgy. The food arrived shortly after the drinks. We ordered the biscuits and gravy, avocado benedict, and the French toast plate. The food was pretty delicious! This saved the experience for us.
google avatar

Sydney S.

Yelp
Love a few of their breakfast items but I decided to try the famous French dip sandwich and it lacked in flavor completely and had very little amount of meat. I only ate about half. Same with the tomato bisque. Such a disappointment!!

GM H.

Yelp
Went here for breakfast as the place across the street told us it would be 20 minute wait with no reservation (texted us back 50 minutes later, we cancelled.) Jo's is a gem. They serve real food, with real proportions. The staff is friendly and efficient, there when you want but leave you alone otherwise. Interior is clean, little small but comfortable. Some parking in the rear but read the signs as some slots are for other businesses. They don't bother with hoity toity. As example Eggs Benedict are REAL Eggs Benedict. Perfectly poached eggs on real ham and muffin with excellent Hollandaise sauce. Coffee is fresh and strong. Unfortunately we don't get to Mission Hills often but we will definitely make Jo's a must stop next time we're in town.

Yelp
That breakfast burrito. I wish I could've taken the leftover with me but it was a sightseeing day and frankly, we didn't know if it was going to heat up...and eggs in a hot car is not a good thing. Service was excellent and friendly. My friend loved her shrimp and grits. The breakfast burrito was HEFTY. I'm used to big burritos that weigh the size of a newborn. The cheese pulls on this. Could've made a serious cheese lovers video from it. I deeply appreciated how hot it was. It was chock full of potatoes, sausage, egg, and cheese. It came with tortilla chips and some delicious salsa Fresca and other red salsa that paired very well with the burrito. Parking was easy, food was good, service was friendly. I can't think of a better way to have started my day. When I'm in San Diego again I will definitely have to stop by and try it out for lunch or dinner.

Yelp
Jo's was absolutely delicious. We went here on a Friday morning right around Brunch time with a group of 5 and luckily got seated immediately. The place was definitely delicious and I bet on the weekend it gets packed. I'd recommend you come early to make sure you get a spot if it's brunch time on the weekend!
google avatar

Yelp
We went to this place by looking at suggested breakfast places via Yelp. We were so happy we did. They were very nice, and the service was one of the best we've had. The food was really good and overall, it was a great experience. We went with our dog, so we got to sit outside. The outside location is by their parking lot. It is a very small area, hence one of the reasons I am giving it 4 stars, but also the area could have looked so so so much nicer. The staff even got water for our dog, which it was a very nice detail. This place has great potential, it would be perfect if they spruce a bit the outside. Inse seems to be very lovely. If you ever in this area, please give it a try, you won't be disappointed. Happy meals :) Tania

Yelp
Adorable little diner in Mission Hills. Personable waiter, delicious food served piping hot! Will definitely return.

Yelp
We found Jo's on Diners, Drive-ins & Dives and knew we had to try the French dip that Guy had on our first visit to San Diego. The food was amazing! The French dip was just as good as Guy portrayed. The service was excellent and the restaurant was warm and inviting.

Judith B.

Yelp
This restaurant is just outstanding. The braised short ribs are wonderful & our favorite, but everything on the menu (that we've tried so far) is delicious. The food is excellent & the presentation is lovely. I'd like to try everything on the menu. I cannot say enough good things about this hidden treasure in Hillcrest.

Yelp
The pro's: good menu. Some good food. The con's: for my one limited visit -- for service and the food was hit or miss. Here's the deal. Went there on a Sunday, 10-ish. Waited 15 minutes while they cleared a few empty tables so our party of four could get seated. All fine. Ordered -- fine. Place was fairly busy with a few people waiting outside. All to be expected. Food arrives. Hmm, what missing from our table? Silverware. They table next to us has theirs, though they don't have food yet. We wait while I watch the silverware come out from the back and they sort it into the spoons, forks, knives and napkins. A few minutes (ok, maybe just 2 1/2) pass and our silverware arrives and we can eat. Two of us had ordered versions of Eggs Benedict. What was missing? Hollandaise sauce. Mine had maybe a total of tablespoon for the two muffins, my friend's had possibly a whole teaspoon. If you don't have the sauce made, don't start the rest. I'd have loved to been able to request more, but the last thing missing was any semblance of service. When we ran out of water, we went to the counter where the staff congregated to get it ourselves. Want salt or pepper or ketchup for the potatoes? Same thing. No one ever checked on us after bringing the food or delivering the silverware. Yes, the potatoes there are very good. Yes, I'm told the eggs were also good. And the Benedicts were good but would have been much better with the sauce. Were they just overwhelmed by having most of their tables full? If so, then either have fewer tables or more staff. If staffing is the issue then close a couple tables. It takes only a moment to survey ask each table how they are doing. Several of us at our table have worked every job in a restaurant and we were all a bit surprised and disappointed. Food fine. Service can be improved. Ideally they would have a manager on duty to step in and help out. (Shout out to Great Maple for excellent service.)

Yelp
I really love this place. It's a cute small spot by UCSD. After an appointment, I decided to stop by. I used to frequent their Doordash ghost kitchen located by SDSU, but unfortunately, it is no longer available. I decided to visit the actual restaurant and had a great time. Really kind server. I took a meal to go for dinner, it's that good! Their caesar salad and fresh lemonade are absolutely superb! Everything made fresh to order. Very yummy for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner options! I plan on going back with my daughter so she can try their yummy food!

Yelp
Thank you for a wonderful early lunch , had a burger with fries and killed it, perfectly cooked and the ffs not overly seasoned . Great service from Nancy , soft music and a very comfortable vibe. Definitely recommend.

Sharice W.

Yelp
First off the hostess was super nice(I didn't get her name). There is a small parking lot located in the back of the restaurant which was convenient for us because we didn't have to worry about street parking. I had my mouth ready for the salmon fillet sandwich but the kitchen was out of salmon that day so I got the fish and chips(I'm pescatarian). I definitely wish that I could have tried the salmon dish; the fish and chips dish was pretty standard and did not blow me out of the water(no pun intended). We also ordered the churros and had fun trying the different sauces; the wine reduction one was my favorite. I would return to try the salmon fillet sandwich!

Mia T.

Yelp
Top 3 burgers of all time. The fried fish is also 10/10, melts in your mouth. We also split a bowl of chili - absolutely amazing. Must try restaurant. Can't stress this enough.

Yelp
Great food and service. Our party of four took all of waiters recommendations. Shrimp polenta was awesome. Meat loaf was crazy good. Short ribs were soo good. Breakfast sandwich was amazing Recommend going here all good stuff

Yelp
The absolute best. The food is great and fairly priced. The service is incredible. Every one was so attentive and genuinely friendly. This is my go to spot for weekend breakfast/brunch, or for a dinner that will make everyone happy. There typically isn't a wait and the vibe is much more relaxed. My favorites on the menu are the breakfast burrito and the chilaquiles. 10/10!!!

Yelp
What can I say? I'm a sucker for Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives (the TV show). So when I had a business trip in San Diego, I landed at the airport, got my rental car, and headed straight here. I got to the restaurant at a weird time (a few hours after lunch but well before dinner) and it was fairly empty, which was great. I sat outside, which can be a problem some places, but my waiter was attentive and came to check on me. I ordered what I saw on the show; the bacon wrapped meatloaf with mashed potatoes and string beans, with a french onion soup. The portions were huge- I would not have been able to finish all that food save for the fact that I had been on planes from the East Coast for 7 hours and hadn't eaten anything else all day. It was beautiful out, the food was excellent, the weather and people watching was great, and I was content. A perfect experience in my book Pro tip; -They do have a private lot with free parking, but the on-street metered parking in front of the restaurant is not too expensive ($2.50 I think??) -In front, they have 2 or 3 small tables (can maybe fit 3 people) if you want to eat outdoors

Yelp
Fantastic diner. Fantastic food. Fantastic owner. Would definitely poop here again.....

Yelp
Consistency is key with trying to create a regular clientele. For me I keep coming back for the delicious chicken pesto sandwich with the perfectly toasted sourdough bread, herbaceous pesto, crispy lettuce, fresh red onion, and the savory melted cheese. All accompanied with French fries and a thirst quenching Arnold Palmer. I drive out of my way from Chula Vista just to eat this sandwich. Definitely worth the drive!
google avatar

Yelp
Lunch specials were so yummy! Tried the pick 2- French onion soup (was amazing!) and the bacon avocado half sandwich (super fresh bread) with a side of coleslaw. It all had a home cooked taste w/ high quality ingredients. Our waiter Sean was a sweetheart and made our experience that much better. We will definitely be back :)
google avatar

Caroline S.

Yelp
Cute establishment however, the service is not good and the food is no better. The waitress never asked, once to refill or coffee or if we needed anything else after she dropped off our food. I got the bacon and brussels sprout omelette with potatoes. The omelette was gross; it had a very strange taste. It tasted like it was cooked in dirty oil and you could see it under the eggs on the plate. My friend got the eggs Benedict and she said hers was no better.
google avatar

Kelly M.

Yelp
Everything was really tasty at this small diner. We were lucky and found parking right away. My salmon had a nice crisp exterior and were thick pieces on top of my salad, slightly underdressed imo. The meatloaf entree and dip beef sandwich looked amazing and my companions were both fully satisfied. French onion soup was amazing! Looking forward to trying breakfast- lots of unique choices. Chocolate cake with the best vanilla ice cream totally hit the spot- yummy!! The only off item was the lumpia app, but I realize everyone's family makes them differently. Service was good- she handled the entire lunch crowd with ease.
google avatar

HK H.

Yelp
Quick lunch out. Hooray for onion soup with Gruyère, instead of Swiss (as it was meant to be!). The frites were delightfully addictive and the bacon avocado sandwich was great. The salmon sandwich was meh. It overpriced for the size of fish and the bun was not the right bread (a drier brioche bun is great for a juicy burger, but not for a fish sandwich. It just fell apart). Service was attentive and quick.

Ross C.

Yelp
Tried this place last night. Ended up leaving with mixed feelings. Cute place and service was pretty good. I ordered French onion soup, a pesto chicken sandwich with fries and my friend ordered a ham and cheese sandwich. My soup was very good however my sandwich was pretty much inedible. It tasted like nothing but raw garlic and the chicken was so tough, fries were just ok. My friend loved her ham and cheese though. I should have tried the meatloaf instead as a friend had recommended. It's kind of pricey but if the food is good and portions adequate I'm fine with paying almost $20 for a sandwich. However I feel it wasn't worth it. Probably stick with Rudfords for my diner food.
google avatar

Yelp
I am seriously at a lost of words with this dish. I've had steak and eggs in the past multiple times before, but nothing compared to this dish. The steak was cooked beautifully; medium with a savory sauce over top. The creamy polenta is one of my favorite sides here. Extremely unique and paired very well with the sauce and steak. Everything was seasoned well and probably one of the best breakfast dishes I've had in a while.

Yelp
I always have a good meal at Jo's. The wait staff is friendly and efficient, the atmosphere is relaxing and the Bellini is tasty. Last time I came in I had the Avocado Benedict and it was outstanding. Many places serve this dish with yolks cooked firm but these were nice and loose with a creamy texture that complimented the English muffins perfectly. My go-to here is the breakfast burrito and it's always very good. Also, they are one of just a handful of eateries in the area that is open for breakfast seven days a week. If you haven't checked out Jo's yet, cruise over to Mission Hills and see for yourself just how good it is. You'll thank me

Love everything! Large portion! Didn't expect the food be as good as hospitality! Took a chance, so happy found this hidden gem! So delicious Especially the French toast!! Out of this world. Never had a French toast this good out of country or in states!

Yelp
Good diner food for what it is. There service was really good. The cooked their fries perfectly. Extra crispy and delicious. I got the albacore tuna melt and it was probably one of the better tuna melts I've had. The cheese and Tina was delicious and not overly sauced like some tuna salads. Not too notch food but definetly exceeded my expectations for a diner. Good food good company and good service.

Yelp
Can't believe we haven't tried this restaurant. It's been open for over 3 years. Salmon salad was delicious. Salmon was perfectly cooked - nicely pan fried. I had a taste of the tuna melt and I didn't like the pickled onion so much. It tasted similar to olives and I don't like olives. The server mentioned to us that the tuna didn't have Mayo so it wasn't the traditional tuna melt. The show string fries was delicious. I disintegrated to try the French onion soup but my boyfriend said it was better than Mimi's. The bacon avocado toast was good. I love the bread that they used. They said it was from Bread and Cie. Bacon is crunchy - just the way I like it.

Yelp
This place is super cute! I was starving and wanted breakfast so badly. My hubby found this place since they serve breakfast all day. It's not far from our hotel, the Catamaran; maybe like 15 min. We are a family of 4, total was like $98. Huge portions I am stuffed. I had the salmon Benedict. I wasn't sure if it was smoked salmon but it was a nice salmon fillet. The eggs were perfectly cooked. The potatoes were crispy and delicious. They are cooked with peppers and onions. My hubby got the short rib Benedict. Their English muffins are really good, they have that nice sourdough taste and thick. My girls ordered the French toast, scrambled eggs and sausage. They have my favorite sausage links! Their orange juice was sweet and coffee strong. I loved their decor and seating! Definitely a must if you are in the San Diego area!
