Recently I visited Jo’s Malasadas. If you’re a dessert lover just like me then this cute spot should definitely be on your list when in Vegas. Beautiful ambience, swift service and huge variety of options to choose from. Below are a few things I tried here: Mocha frappe Hazelnut frappe Nutella and Cookie & Cream Malasadas Ube Oreo and Chantilly cheesecake Everything was fresh and delicious. Their Malasadas has generous amount of filling and is so soft and fluffy that is just melts in your mouth. Overall experience was amazing.

Google
We were so excited to find malasadas since we're transplants from Oahu. We ordered 3 haupia, 1 custard, 1 guava, and 1 ube because we all wanted haupia and decided to share the other 3 flavors so we could all try them. We also ordered a slice of Latisa cake and a slice of Guava Tres Leches cake. FYI, Latisa cake should be spelled Latiya (pronounced Latija). We were excited to get home to try all of our goodies. We were very disappointed when we say 4 yellow malasadas. We suspected we got 4 custard instead of 3 haupia. I called Jo's and asked if the custard and haupia were the same color, as expected, they made an error. The young girl said I could come back and get 3 haupia malasadas. Thanks for that! First, the malasadas were not freshly cooked so cold, not warm just-out-of-the-fryer. Is was still good though, not old or stale. We cut them in half so we could all try the ube and guava. We all agreed in this case, there was too much filling so we couldn't taste the malasada. The fillings were good though, just overpowering almost like frosting on a cake. All edit this post to let you know how the cakes are.....

Google
The first time I've been in Hawaii a friend brought me in this tiny rundown shack in the middle of nowhere but as we go nearer I can immediately recognized the smell of donuts. My friend told me "its not donuts, its malasadas!" I rolled my eyes mumbling to myself "its donuts" He recommended I try the Ube(taro) Malasada because i love ube! Compared to donuts, malasadas are more eggy, I read they use 1 egg for 1 cup and instead of milk they use evaporated milk which makes this more creamier and heavy than a donut. I love donuts. I bet mostly everyone does I mean how can you resist the smell and the different looks they have, especially when you dip them in coffee ☺. "One cannot think well, love well, sleep well, if one has not dined well" right? so enjoy your donut or malasada like a love that might not return.

Google
The malasadas are the perfect combination of fluffy and melt in your mouth delicious. I highly recommend if you’re in the area to give it a try. They have different flavors and other desserts they offer as well. It’s decorated so cute on the inside and the staff is friendly

Google
Legit. Hands down, the best malasadas in Vegas. Super light and fluffy. Nice portion too. Very cute and quaint little shop. Will be back. Made a recurring customer out of me.

Google
This spot is DESSERT HEAVEN 🔥 They've got malasadas, which are custard filled doughnuts with sugar coating & a ton of other great desserts like crinkle cookies, creme brulee Halo Halo, dessert empanadas, shaved ice, & much more! Such a great selection, anytime you're craving some island desserts you definitely need to stop on by here!

Google
These malasadas are the best outside Hawaii. The dough is so fluffy and the filling are light and creamy and not overly sweet. Perfect combo! Must try.

Yelp
Food 5/5- the burnt UBE cheesecake was delicious and had the perfect texture. Service 5/5: quick and very attentive! Ambiance 5/5: cute little shop. I wanted to take some cheesecake back home but I didn't think it would hold up during my flight.

Yelp
This was a fantastic find after lunch. They carry mostly ube pastries, everything from ube bars, to cakes and donuts. The interior is very simple: A few seats with minimal artwork on the walls. When we walked in, there was a distinct smell of durian, but we didn't see any. The gal that helped us was very nice. She was patient while we looked over the display case and offered descriptions of what they have. We tried a few items we've never seen elsewhere before: pistachio croissant. Flaky with a bit of pistachio cream inside. Not heavy or buttery, topped with chocolate chips. Flan Creme brûlée brioche donut was very good. Light, filled with cream but not very sweet, topped with a crispy sugar topping. Delicious. Blueberry cream brioche donut was a bit sweeter and heavier, but still good. Mornjng was overpowering and not like the typical American style donuts where it's just way too sweet. There's a shared parking lot so finding a spot shouldn't be hard. And their signage stands out so it's easy to locate. I'll be going back to try some other items.

Yelp
This place is excellent. The quality of ingredients and price point of their items is unmatched. Nearly every other comparable bakery charges at least $2 more for their baked goods. Their coffee drinks are made well too. Their almond croissant is exceptional. Twice the size of other bakeries with lots of actual homemade almond paste. If you love chocolate, their brownies have to be a chocolate lover's dream. They're decadent and heavy in weight. Overall, this place is wonderful.

Yelp
Went to i Be salon which is a few doors down, and tried this place out. I really want to give it a high review, but the Ube Milk Tea they served me was just awful. It's watered down, expensive, and barely had any flavor. I can't believe I paid for that. I asked for almond milk as an alternative, but it doesn't even look like the server Nina put any kind of cream. The drink was a brown translucent liquid. The pictures on Yelp look different from what's actually served in person. I cannot recommend the drinks at this time. There's also a concerning smell when entering the store. I am willing to update my review in the future provided they improve the quality.

Yelp
I was super excited about this place. Went out of our way to give it a try. We were a little disappointed. The ube cake, croissant, and a few other pastries were just ok. There's an odor there lingering in the shop that is not appetizing. We had to eat outside, in the heat.

Yelp
My first time trying Purple Potato! They have an amazing selection of Filipino-inspired pastries & desserts, but I only got to try their classic Chocolate Chip Levain cookie! Soooo yummy, not too sweet and baked chewy on the inside and a little crunchy on the edges. 5/5 The cashier was sooo sweet! She told me her recommendations for other cookies and desserts which I will def try next time!! service 5/5 There is a nice sitting area outside to eat and drink in this nice weather but it is not in the nicest area

Yelp
This place is great with awesome donut fillings. The ube is he highlight here but the crème brûlée one s my fav. The coffee drinks here are incredible too. The service is nice and the shop is small but cute. Highly recommend!

Yelp
One of my new favorite bakeries in Las Vegas!! The Purple Potato Bakery is a Filipino American Bakery & Café. The store is located on Flamingo and Torrey Pines, next to a Archi's Thai Bistro. There is plenty of parking spots available! We ended up stopping by on a Friday evening around 5:00 P.M before the bakery closed! The current store hours are the following Monday - Tuesday: 10:00 A.M - 6:00 P.M Wednesday & Thursdays: Closed Friday - Sunday: 10:00 A.M - 6:00 P.M If you're looking for a catering order, you can place the order online and pick up at the bakery. Purple Potato Bakery also delivers within 10 miles of the bakery's location! The Purple Potato Bakery offers a wide range of donuts and sweets such as the following Oreo Cream Layered Donut Strawberry Shortcake Layered Donut Mango Cheesecake Brioche Donut Pies Cheesecakes and so much more!!! We ended up getting the following from the bakery Ube Cheesecake Coco Pandan Tres Leches Ube Brioche Donut The interior of the bakery is beautiful! We didn't eat inside and ended up taking the desserts to go instead. My husband and I split all three desserts in a evening! Everything was just delicious!! The Ube Cheesecake was perfect! It wasn't too sweet, and the consistency of the cheesecake was creamy and thick! The Coco Pandan Tres Leches was phenomenal! The Ube Brioche Donut was loaded with sugar on the outside and filled with a ton of Ube on the inside! It was soo yummy! The team member that was assisting us at the Purple Potato Bakery was awesome! She went through all of their different offerings and recommended her favorite desserts! This is a must visit if you're in the area!

Yelp
The cheese roll tastes great! So many delicious ube choices, too. Let's continue to support Filipino ube delicacies!

Yelp
AMAZING UBE DESSERTS!!! Whenever u get the chance, try the UBE tres leches cake, it so so good. Tried the donuts as well, and the ube basque cheesecake... and all are good as well! The only qualm I have is that they need to redesign the place cuz it looks a little sterile from all the white wall background. But anyways... love the desserts. The lady attending us was quite nice as well.
google avatar

Yelp
Looks like everything is or can be made with Ube (purple potato). Very creatively done! Beautiful desserts, some fresher than others. I stopped by at the end of the day, so keeping that in mind for freshness--the items I tried were very tasty. The staff was helpful also recommend recommending popular items since it was my first time there. I ordered a Très Leches Polvoron Donut and a Layered Ube Flan slice of cake. The Ube flan was dense and flavorful but seemed a little stale. The donut, however was delicious and fresh-tasting! It took a little longer since they made it to order, but it was worth the wait--sweet and soft. A great place for dessert!

Yelp
This place was a hidden gem! Since I was traveling, I was not able to get some of the items I really wanted to try. However, I was recommended some very yummy items such ube ensaymada, ube cheese bar, and ube brioche doughnut. Unfortunately, I did not have an opportunity to eat them right away, so mine was refrigerated for two days but still great just a bit hardened and didn't do them justice! Definitely recommend this place and all three items were not too sweet which was a plus! The staff there was patient and such a sweet person.
google avatar

Yelp
I was craving Ube on International Women's Day! And this place did not disappoint. Sometimes Ube tastes like purple dye and it is so unsettling. No dye flavor on the Ube croissant or Ube cheesecake (which is something I am currently craving!) Looking forward to returning and seeing what else they make. Friendly cashier. Quick transaction. In and out in 3 minutes.

Yelp
Seen this place on tiktok and couldn't wait to try it. I got Ube brioche, Strawberry tiramisu brioche, Polvoron brioche, Leche Flan crème brulee and finally the Ube burnt cheesecake; and everything was FIRE. The Ube Burnt Cheesecake was my favorite and after the strawberry tiramisu and leche flan brioche. Definitely found a fire spot and it needs more hype
google avatar

Michelle M.

Yelp
A friend noted that her fave slice of cake was here so since her bday was coming up, I had to grab her some! A good size ube tres leches cake was $7. It looked so good! They had other pastries so I got a half dozen for $22. Of course, looking at all the yumminess, I HAD to get one for myself! I didn't even make it home to inhale my churro filled pastry! It was SO good!! It was fresh considering it was about 1pm in the afternoon. They had several other flavors like pumpkin spice and white chocolate! I wish this place was closer to me so I could visit often! The location was super easy to find, lots of parking out front and the service was so lovely. She was so glad that I was a first timer! I will be back!!

Yelp
Nina (the worker) had zero avocados, but I digress. One of the greatest dining experiences I've ever fielded. I asked for room temperature water and she certainly delivered. I felt right at home if my home was a Filipino bakery.
google avatar

Leah C.

Yelp
The food was delicious! I wish there were more polvoron donuts left, because I only got to try the Leche flan donut. The lady behind the counter was nice, but wasn't trying to sell us anything lol... the store was empty when we went, so we didn't have to fight any lines.
google avatar

Londa D.

Yelp
The owners are Husband and Wife Duo.. I was introduced to this location by my youngest daughter who is a Fire Inspector here in Clark County. I have been coming here now for 3 months and they have not wavered from having a consistent UBE Cheesecake that's the very best I've ever experienced. The restaurant is clean and welcoming. The young cashier Emma ,whom is perusing nursing has the best attitude. (I just think the food tastes better with great customer service). The UBE Tres Leches is also a must try.. so for all your Holiday Needs and Special Occasions come see InaRi Chef RamiR @ Purple Potato Bakery.

Yelp
3/19/25 stopped here to get some treats for the staff at my work place. Ordered some desserts and ube and mango drinks. Does not look like pictures on Yelp... and found out it is under new management. Also, ordered 4 drinks and they did not have a drink holder ...if I knew that, i wouldn't have ordered that much drinks. Instead they only could give a flimsy box , that was scary trying to make sure the drinks don't spill in my car. Top of that. They forgot to give me straws. Well, it's under new management so hopefully things will get corrected. Place is small, pretty clean. Happy eats!
google avatar

Paula M.

Yelp
i love their doughnuts!! So filling and the flavor is wonderful. Gave a box to my dad for his birthday and he enjoyed it! The cookies were the only ones that weren't a favorite for me but it was very soft to bite
google avatar

Cam J.

Yelp
Woah...! This place is pretty hidden to my surprise. The only times I usually see this place is when I get my haircut which is in the same plaza. But finding an ube specialty bakery is hard to come around I think and finding a ube flavored treat is hard to get the certain flavor I usually look for. But this place has many options for that desire ! Not too overpowering and sweet, as well as it's a good balance each bite. There was a very nice lady who helped us that day and I can see she treats everyone with care and full respect. This bakery definitely needs to be more well known !
google avatar

Kenny D.

Yelp
Small quaint bakery with interesting bakery items, service as good, was kinda hoping a little better help from the worker as in her finding out what I maybe looking for and her possibly going through the items they have to help me make up my mind as it was my first time there, but no help from her. Couple things I got was alright
google avatar

Yelp
**Must-Visit Bakery in Vegas!** Purple Potato Bakery is hands-down the best bakery I've tried in Las Vegas. Their cheesecake? Perfectly delicate and not overly sweet. Every pastry I bought (and I got plenty--even extras for my neighbor!) was incredibly fresh. I'll 100% return and tell every Vegas-bound friend to come here for the city's top baked goods!
google avatar

Roxanne E.

Yelp
I was so excited when this place popped up on my IG because of all the ube items they have! I decided to give it a try and get my husband a flan and ube layer cake for his birthday! The process of ordering the cake was simple on their website. I needed to place an order 48 hours prior to pick up. When I arrived I was simply greeted by a staff member and the place was filled with good looking pastries and cakes! The staff were very informative with their products. I decided to get their ube cream layered donut to try. Th ube cream donut was okay. It looked really good with all the ube filling and topping but I did not taste any ube at all. That was very disappointing. The flan ube cake was okay as well. The flan was perfect.... But the cake was slightly burnt and again no ube flavor. I guess I had high expectations because they're known for their ube products. It was disappointing not being able to taste the ube at all. It almost tasted like a slight burnt vanilla cake with some purple dye. My recommendation is to add something to make it taste like ube.
google avatar

Ching Ching C.

Yelp
Cute bakery with lots of different Asian pastries, including Ube and pandan. They were super helpful when making selections to figure out what would be good for us to try and meet our taste buds. Overall favorites were the strawberry croissant donut and the Ube flan layered cake. The pandan tres leches was also a favorite! We'll be back again to try other things for sure!
google avatar

Jo H.

Yelp
This is our favorite place in Vegas, everything is good. Wish they have branch in California. The quality is good and does not change. Not too sweet!
google avatar

Carolyn M.

Yelp
Delicious flaked donuts that appear like they're overly decadent however they are perfect lol. The ube cream one was delicious and not overly sweet. The donut itself was crispy and buttery and soft. The tables double chocolate cookie is also awesome, a nice dark cocoa with some tang and bitter! Would definitely recommend this shop.
google avatar

Sherwyn H.

Yelp
I was greeted by a vibrant uppity young lady in pig tails and free samples of their cheese rolls . I wanted a sweet treat to eat on the drive home to Cali . The small store was clean and well decorated. This was a few days before the Thanksgiving holiday and there were loads of their different pies pre ordered and waiting to be picked up in the front so I knew this establishment must be a good one . I ordered a few cheese rolls and they were tasty! I should have bought more. I am knees get weak when it comes to modernized Filipino or Asian desserts and if you are craving some, this is the place. They also have different coffee and they go well with their desserts. I really also like the leche flan donut and Ube bar. Whenever I'm in the city of sin and want something sweet, this bakery will be on my radar.
google avatar

Ashley C.

Yelp
This place is an ube lover's DREAM!! I wanted one of everything and would've brought it all home if I could!! But since we had a whole day of eating ahead, we had to narrow it down to two items, and I thought we chose some pretty delicious ones! -Salted Yema Brioche Donut - it's topped with two crunchy pieces of honeycomb. The cream was not too sweet and the donut itself was so fluffy and fresh! -Ube Cream Layered - this was their version of a cronut but it was filled with the most fragrant ube cream. There is even ube buttercream on top which was surprisingly not too sweet. Both of these donuts were HUGE and I thought it was more than reasonably priced for the size! They had so many unique flavors to choose from and different types of desserts like cakes and cookies and cheesecakes. They even had this new savory menu! I've had a lot of donuts but this place is officially in my top 3 all time favorites!!
google avatar

Rolly T.

Yelp
They continue to expand their menu. Their basque cheesecake is really close to La Vina from San Sebastián- especially the mixed berry regular basque cheesecake. Can't wait to come back and try their savory sandwiches which I heard from the owner that it is coming Becoming our go to Filipino pastry bakery.
google avatar

Candy N.

Yelp
Super cute little spot with tons of ube options and sweet drinks! I stopped in after a long salon appointment and it was the perfect. I got the tiramisu matcha (so good--creamy, not too sweet, and really smooth) and some ube donuts to bring home for my kid. Everything was fresh and the staff was super nice. Definitely a cozy place I'll be coming back to. Bonus points for the aesthetic interior

Ericca Jean T.

Yelp
I ordered a 9-inch ube cheesecake on a Monday to be picked up on Saturday and asked the employee taking my order if they were able to write a message on it. She said yes and the message I requested was "Congrats and Happy Birthday Eric!" The employee confirmed my order and quoted me $49 to be paid on Saturday when we picked up the cake. On Saturday, my sister picked the cake up between 3-4pm and she was informed that no boxes were available to fit the cake, so the employees offered to Saran-wrap the cake instead... however, they placed the cake in a large box, and added a smaller cake box within it to prevent the cake from shifting. This would have been okay... until I saw the cake. The writing on the cake was not the message I requested, the presentation was very messy, and the border around the cake was incomplete to accommodate a heart that I did not ask for. The cake itself was delicious. But I was very upset at the presentation of the cake because it was for the recipient's surprise birthday party and it was presented to him in front of his guests. Had the employees informed me at any point in the week prior to picking up the cake that they would not be able to properly write a message on it, I would have been understanding and purchased a topper instead.
google avatar

Tammy L.

Yelp
Ube eerrrrrrthang!!! Yes, please! This adorable bakery was recommended to us by a friend who knows how much we love ube sweets. The hardest part about visiting was having to choose from so many amazing options. Cakes, breads, donuts, the list goes on!
google avatar

Monica D.

Yelp
I've had two amazing desserts from Purple Potato, and I loved them both! The first time, I tried their cinnamon roll, I was in love. It was seriously one of the best rolls I've ever had. Dense, buttery layers of goodness, with an amazing frosting that's not overly sweet. The second item was their churro French maple layer donut. It was brought as a congratulations for me after a competition. This is something that gets better with every bite. The churro sugar and crunch, maple inside, and cream cheese frosting- just delicious. It's a little messy to eat, but I didn't mind one bit. I can't wait to sample more items!

Nina P.

Yelp
My cousins and uncle have been raving about this place and I'm so glad I got to finally try! The desserts we tried had the perfect amount of sweetness. I loved the calamansi pie the most! I believe most (if not all) their offerings contain milk, so if you're lactose-intolerant like me do bring your Lactase/enzymes!
google avatar

Caitleen N.

Yelp
So yummy! I enjoy their Milky Cheese Rolls, their Leche Flan Polvoron Donut, and their Salted Yema Polvoron Donut! Today was my first time inside the store, and the person helping us was kind enough to let us know about a promotion they have with their donuts/endaymadas so that we could meet that promotion since we were only one item away. The place itself was also cute and even their plastic bags were down to the purple color! I would love to try their other items, so I will definitely be back. (-:

Chris P.

Yelp
Love finding hidden gems and this place qualifies. Cute little bakery with some tasty (mostly Asian) treats. Delicious malasadas and other ube delights. Add the kind, friendly service and you have a place we will return to. This is the type of place that deserves our support

Noemi J.

Yelp
Can't call it Halo-halo if it only has jelly! Where's the yams, banana, beans, macapuno, sago etc? Nope! Very disappointing!
google avatar

Donna F.

Yelp
Every time I am in Vegas, Purple Potato is a must stop for me! I have not had an item I didn't like...stopped by on a Friday around 2pm for their famous Halo Halo. The yema, ube, leche flan, boba, jelly and other goodies they put in it is amazingly delicious! Wish we had this in the Bay Area. I will be back one more time during my short stay in town to bring some pastries back home. The staff that assisted me was also very friendly. Wish I could give them 10 stars!

Connie F.

Yelp
I really wanted to love the cake that was ordered from here but I just didn't love it at all. The cake I'm sure is delicious but the handwriting on the cake - no offense - looks like chicken scratch. I would have rather them give me the icing tube to write on it myself. Then when we went to pick up the cake they didn't have a box that fit the cake. They either had a box that was too big or too small, I'm not sure if they were just expecting us to take the cake home on top of the cardboard but it was strange. The girl helping us tried to fit the cake in a small box and in the end we just took the big box and had to make our own medium sized box. The final result was below expectation to say the least. Yikes!
google avatar

Henry-Victor G.

Yelp
This bakery is perfection incarnate. This might be my favorite bakery in the world. I must have tasted most of the menu at this point. I don't think there was one thing that I didn't like.
google avatar

Veronica R.

Yelp
I love so much about this place. The owners and staff are always super nice. The doughnuts & the tres leches are 5 stars. So good! Will keep me coming back! However there was one thing that was "so-so" and I wanted them to be good bc I see that the shape was very reminiscent of Levain cookies in NYC. They look more like a scone than a cookie. Except the ones in NYC are made to order so they're hot and melty which makes them phenomenal and memorable. The cookies here look good but are super crumbly and dry. I wanted them to be good but they could have been better. Maybe try a ratio with cake flour or maybe chill them longer or use melted butter in the recipe??? I don't know but if they had a slight crisp on the outside and used more dark chocolate than milk chocolate and found a way to bake small batches to order so they are still warm and gooey on the inside than this place would be flawless. Just my 10 cents.
google avatar

Jacob H.

Yelp
The young lady behind the counter was helpful and nice. The banana bread was pretty good. The place was super dirty. Seemed like every table was dirty. I decided to eat my banana bread in my car.
google avatar

Norma A.

Yelp
Finally made it to Purple Potato today. Had the ube ensaimada. It was yummy and soft. Thanks to the associate who chose a soft ensaimada for me.
google avatar

Dee R.

Yelp
Over the last several months I've come here it smells like straight sewage. There are no delicious smells here of freshly baked pastries and sugary treats. Today there was water leaking out from their cold case with no attempt to address and the employee knew about it yet they did nothing to keep the water from causing a slip hazard or from pooling on the floor. The case was not over flowing with options large parts were empty. Which is consistent what I've been seeing fewer and fewer options and still not always tasting freshly made. Lastly their food quality/freshness has taken a significant step back from what they had built their business on. I can no longer rely on my past experiences here. I can only go with what they are showing me these several months. Smells like sewage, visible water leaking with no attempt to fix, contain or maintain safety and health standards. I won't be back. This place is nasty now.

Geraldine G.

Yelp
I love Ube and they have a delicious Ube Tres Leches and crinkle cookies. They also have cakes and donuts and halo halo, worth a drive from Henderson.

Kimmy A.

Yelp
I've been waiting til I was in the area to try this place & im so glad I finally got the chance! Service was great (even though the girl that helped me forgot to put my white rabbit cheesecake in my bag). She was really helpful when it came to choosing donuts. I did the 1/2 dozen for $22: Ube polvaron, leche crème brûlée, Turon, yema, Nutella pastillas, & Ube brûlée cinnamon roll. I also got the leche flan layered donut. Everything was amazing! I can't even tell you which one I favored because everything was equally exceptional. A little pricey for donuts but we'll worth it. I ordered the white rabbit cheesecake but unfortunately didn't get to try it bc (as I already stated) the woman helping me forgot to put it in my bag.. it's okay tho. I'll definitely be back for more.

Yelp
This place has the most delicious deserts that I have had within the last 10 years. The purple color definitely turned me on while I was enjoying the food.

Yelp
I came here and ordered tocilog (it was recommended by the staff) and was given longsilog instead. I made a mistake not checking my order before leaving the place since I ordered to-go but THE STAFF WERE INCREDIBLE. Big thanks to Indri. They quickly fixed the error and delivered the correct order to my home. THANK YOU for the EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE! Will definitely come back. I'm happy I got my tocilog now and it's so good! Ambiance there was also cute and minimalist. A must try! (I would recommend the HALO HALO especially this summer it has boba pearls in it) So delicious
