José Ramón 277: Chopería & Sanguchería

In afraid I have to jump on the band wagon and rave about this place. I was sceptical being in a tourist area but now I understand why the reviews are so positive. As soon as I entered I was greeted by a smiling face Elli and said I could sit anywhere I wish, obviously I chose outside. Then Enzo quickly glided in to make sure my table wasn’t wobbly and helped me with my order of beer and “michalada” I’d seen a photo of a dish and he instantly told me it was the crudo (steak tartar with extras to mix in) it all soon arrived and was delicious. But there was something missing that we have in Europe Worcestershire sauce. I decided to chance my luck and poped to the bar to ask. The lovely bar lady said they don’t have this but they have something similar. It transformed my dish and I was in heaven 💫. I was running out of bread and without even asking Elli came out with another basket, That’s hospitality!! The whole experience was just super nice and I think I will be back tomorrow) Oh and the sandwiches that were also recommended looked Amazing and big only for 2. Hope you enjoy as much as I did.

The food was delicious! The crudo and the churrasco sándwich was to die for! I am a sucker for good beef and seasoning! I recommend this place, good beers and a good menu. The place is quirky and it's located behind the GAM. I recommend if you want to go and try some Chilean food. The staff were so friendly!

Wish this had been a vendor at the Lollapalooza, as the sandwiches and meat were much higher quality than what was on offer there (maybe shouldn't be surprised). The sopaipillas were great as an appetizer (though there's a lot of them, so be prepared). Churrasco Chacarero sandwich also recommended.

This is a proper sandwich restaurant! The portions are enormous and will likely fill you up even when ordering a 1/2 sandwich. Even the sopapilla order was enormous. There is a huge beer and drink selection, especially when you see the many different pisco cocktail options available. Indoor and outdoor seating is available, and staff did speak a bit of English.

Lovely bar. Brilliant small plates, we did not try mains but other peoples looked good! Amazing staff with a great range of beers, cocktails and wine. Not to be missed.

Great bar and restaurant if you are looking for good empanadas and Chilean sandwiches. The tongue is perfectly cooked and delicious. Empanadas are large and great for sharing. The place gets busy. Nice patio area. Google has 2 locations right now. The one down the alley is the correct one. It’s not on the main avenue.

We came here twice - once to try the sandwiches and a second time for drinks. The setting is lovely, the sandwiches were great (a substantial meal) and the staff were very attentive. I would definitely recommend!

Stopped in for an afternoon snack. Good food, good beer, nothing else you can really ask for. Sandwiches are a hearty size.
