Joselito's Mexican Food Tujunga

I honestly can’t believe it has taken me this long to write a review for Joselito’s. I’ve been coming here since the 80s and while the restaurant has gone through different ownership over the years, the food right now is absolutely on point. This place is one of my favorite hidden gems. Last night we sat indoors to escape the heat, and the atmosphere was inviting, lively, and comfortable. Joselito’s also has outdoor seating which makes it a great spot no matter the season. We started with margaritas and they were so good we ordered two more to take home. I had the Cadillac and my friend had the jalapeño margarita. Both were perfectly balanced, refreshing, and poured with a generous hand. The food was just as memorable. The jalapeño cheese spring rolls were incredible. I had never tried them before and they might be my new favorite appetizer. The sweet corn cakes were another standout, rich and flavorful, and we split a classic bean and cheese burrito that hit all the right notes of comfort food. The staff was wonderful. Friendly, attentive, and always checking in at the right time. If you are craving authentic and delicious Mexican food in Tujunga with great drinks, warm service, and a fun atmosphere, Joselito’s should be at the top of your list. After decades of visiting, it remains a favorite that just keeps getting better.

Such a cute spot with amazing food and atmosphere. And margaritas bigger than your head. Do yourself a favor an visit today. Andrew Skarsgard's primo lookalike is a server here! No joke dude looks related. He was amazing and so attentive.

Hidden Gem for great Mexican Food! Pricey, but good. One of the best Tequila menus in the San Fernando Valley.

Joselito’s is always a dining pleasure. I really like to order off of the specialty menu. Last night I had the BBQ Carnitas Tacos and they were a taste sensation. Now it’s October, they’ll have the Pumpkin Enchiladas, that I’ve been waiting for again since last year. If it’s Taco Tuesday, be sure to try the Potato. Enjoy!

I happened to agree with an ex girlfriend of mine to have breakfast there. And the waiter and the other gentleman who treated us with an exceptional service. So without a place to enjoy a good meal. I wanna specially thank the salvadorean gentleman great attitude. Thanks...see you guys soon!!!.

Nate, our waiter, was incredibly attentive and welcoming, making us feel comfortable on our first visit. He also served up some great drinks that we really enjoyed. The quality of the food and the portion sizes were excellent. Overall, a wonderful experience. We’ll definitely be back!

I visited your establishment about three weeks ago with a friend. I had not initially planned to report this, but my husband encouraged me to reach out so that it can be addressed and hopefully prevent anyone else from having a similar experience.Our server that day was a young gentleman whose name I believe was Nathaniel or Nate. He had black hair in a ponytail and appeared to be the only server working at the time. Throughout our visit, he repeatedly referred to my friend and me as “babe” and “mama.” We found this language to be inappropriate and unprofessional. In addition, his behavior felt overly flirtatious, which made us quite uncomfortable during our meal. I wanted to bring this to your attention so that you are aware of how customers may be experiencing service. Unfortunately, because of this interaction, I do not plan on returning if this reflects the standard of service.

Excellent authentic Mexican mole. Great dish made with all the right ingredients. This is the best Mexican place to eat in Tujunga. Just be aware they get very busy, so be patient

Food was great, margarita was gigantic and delicious and the staff was incredibly accommodating for my baby. We started on the cute patio, but there were some mosquitos, so they had no problem transferring us to the indoors to continue our meal. Thank you to the whole staff for accommodating us!

This place seems to be a local spot in the Sunland/Tujunga area. The place has been at this location for approximately over 20+ years or so. However, this is a great place to come for Mexican food. As you step in the door, you feel as if you're at home. We were greeted as soon as we walked in. Once seated, we were given chips and fresh salsa. The service and staff were great! They were prompt, fast and they took the time to explain certain dishes and answer any questions we had. All the servers were busy walking in and out of the kitchen/bar area, however, they were all happy and willing to help all the customers as they were walking your table. I ordered the taquitos plate. As the server placed it on the table, he advised the plate was still very hot. I was fine with it, as it kept the rice and beans warm throughout my meal. The taquitos were crunchy on the outside and soft savory beef was on inside. The cool smoothness of the guacamole added just the right balance of flavor once you bite into the crunchy taquito. I will definitely come back here. This place has a wonderful staff, great location, delicious food. It checks all the boxes.

Wow! Joselito has such a warm and lively atmosphere that immediately makes you feel welcome. The food is delicious and the portions are really generous - more than enough to share. I especially enjoyed the buffalo wings, they were perfectly crispy and full of flavor. The margaritas are strong, refreshing, and honestly some of the best I've had in a long time. What I really love is that the atmosphere here is always excellent - cozy and inviting. It's a great place to come with friends, order a few margaritas or even tequila, and just enjoy the evening. It even reminded me of my vacation in Mexico!The vibe is fun and energetic, but not so loud that you can't have a good conversation Everyone here is amazing - friendly, attentive, and they truly go above and beyond to make sure you're happy with your order. On top of that, the parking lot is spacious, which makes visiting even more convenient. This restaurant is now high on my list for both casual dinners and special nights out. A big thank you to the team for making the experience so enjoyable - I'll be back for sure!!

Went for dinner and had such a great meal. Three of us. We made reservations and parked in their free lot. Were seated right away and given menus. Deink orders were taken promptly and by the time the waiter caught back.We were ready to order our meals. I will ame what we got under each photo. I also had a coupon as I signed up for their program whereby you get coupons in the mail with incentives, and I had received a coupon for my birthday by one andre, get one free.So we got really good food and got one of the plates of food for free, which was really great. They also show the n f l football game and on the other t, v, they had the n b a playing, so it's always nice to be able to watch your favorite sports while you eat. Decor is cool with walls painted with mexican murals. Most of the waiters are Hispanic and very sweet and attentive. Good times!!!

Love the margaritas here! They give fresh and warm tortilla chips with salsa as soon as you arrive, My husband and I tried the hatch chile enchiladas today and were very satisfied with the flavor and quantity of the food. The service is always good; everyone is friendly and nice. The outdoor space is really cute and cozy but it was too hot to be out there today.

Came by this past weekend after a day at the fair. Quickly sat down and they have an extensive menu. Started with margaritas of course - watermelon and passion fruit. Refreshing but light on the fruit flavor. For an appetizer we ordered the TJ taquitos- not drenched in sauce like they are listed but a nice drizzle and the pickled onions and queso fresco on top made a great bite. For mains we got the Mexican flag enchiladas and the fish tacos - both good, fish tacos have a different tangy sweet sauce on top, I would've preferred a crema but still a good taco. Sadly too stuffed for dessert but would've loved to try the flan. Service was great until we were ready for the check and she must've been spread thin because it took a while until she returned to our corner to check up. Classic decor with patio seating as well. Smaller parking lot that was packed when we arrived. Seems like a popular spot and glad to have checked it out!

Yes! I approve of this place. Not as loud as Don Cuco's and also they take their time in preparing the food (it gets to your table a little slower) so I suspect that it's fresher and also why it tastes a little better. Not to compare but it's a comparable type of mexican fare in terms of price, ambiance and food. Great service always making sure your water is filled, or your marguerita however you like to go out ;) The food is delicious! Can't go wrong with any of the enchiladas and their chips and guacamole is a must! It's not too big, not too small - just the perfect size. Except for their parking. That can get a bit annoying :D Can't wait to visit again!

Driving into the parking lot felt like we were in a complete different place. Walking towards the restaurant made me feel like I was walking into a restaurant on a hill in Mexico. The inside of the restaurant felt quite cozy and comfortable. The complimentary chips and salsa were good. We ordered the Pollo en Mole and the Carne Asada taco and beef enchilada combo. The food was excellent. The server and staff were attentive and courteous. We enjoyed our early dinner. I would definitely come back. P. S. Reminder to come early for dinner. The restaurant and the parking lot were packed when we were leaving.

I found this place and I went with no expectations, but besides is Americanized Mexican food the flavor was there and I end up loving it, service is great and they make you feel welcome the ambience and the place is beautiful like to take the whole family

The BEST Mexican food in L.A. Generous portions, delicious seasonal cocktails, super friendly & efficient staff, all in a cozy adobe style setting. The garden-patio is fantastic all year round. I'd give all the stars, if I could.

We started our lunch on the shaded, cool patio. Joselitos is dog friendly. There are dog water bowls on the patio. The food was excellent, as usual. I love the two item combo. Chile Relleno and cheese enchilada. On evening dates with my hubby, we like to split a Cadillac Margarita! Wow, amazing. We've been going to Joselitos for years. The service is also very good, and clean bathrooms.

My husband and I dine at Joselitos in Tujunga frequently. Over 20 years actually. We are always happy when we walk thru the door. They also have a great meal and drink menu. We are actually headed there tonight for taco Tuesday. Ya gotta try the potato taco with blue corn tortilla. I can't say enough just how wonderful the food and service is. BTW their outdoor patio is super nice.

Food: I have visited in person as well as ordered thru Uber Eats. In person dining is always preferred however, their mini bean and cheese chimichangas are so addicting...sometimes you just need to order! They come with sour cream and guacamole. Crispy on the outside but not overly fried. So yummy! Service: Always very attentive and friendly. Their margaritas are also delicious! Ambiance: Dark and festive. Nice and comfy booths. Restaurant offers more seating than appears from the outside.

This is our favorite place in Sunland/Tujunga. Always an A+ experience and really affordable for what you get. The patio is a vibe on a good weather day too! Staff is super friendly as well. It can get pretty busy so making a reservation on busy days like weekends is recommended. Jayla was the host on our last visit and was dealing with some honestly pretty annoying/pushy customers ahead of us when we came in. She handled them with such grace and respect and definitely prevented what could have been a worse situation. Shout out to her! Parking lot is tight but they have another parking lot across the street and street parking nearby isn't difficult.

Wow! Had not been here in several years. Was in town and thought it would be fun to visit. Food was amazing! We shared the fajitas and salad. No way to finish it all! Service was great. We will be back.

Absolutely amazing, our new favorite Mexican spot , Drove 20 minutes to try this place and was totally worth it. Outside tables looked great on a Saturday afternoon with the sun out, we wanted the Mexican restaurant experience and it definitely delivered. Great vibe we loved it. Got the margaritas to start. You know when you can choose your own tequila on the menu, you know it's going to be great. We got the medium\ regular size and they were delicious and big. Guacamole was amazing and a big serving, we ordered the medium and it was a big size. The mains were delicious also. We will definitely be back. Also the churro's deep fried ice was life changing.

First time here and I can say I will never come back. This person is extremely RUDE! She didn't even say hi and the moment I asked for a table for 10 she gives me the ugliest look and tells me over two hour wait. That's crazy! I said I'll wait since it looks nice and she gives an even uglier look. What kind of service is that? Do you hate your job? Definitely made us feel unwanted. 0 stars for me.

We had our fur baby with us because he's experiencing separation anxiety due to the fires, and we needed a place with an outdoor patio. Let me tell you- their place is so dog friendly! They have a dog menu and when we got our water, he too got served water! Our waiter was so attentive to us. The food was very tasty and they were huge portions. We were able to eat out and our fur baby got to eat out too! We all had a great time.

We have been going to this restaurant for 40 years.It is my favorite mexican restaurant. I don't think there's a dish I've tried that.I didn't like.... Servers are always kind and attentive.

Everything about this place is so bomb! The restaurant, the drinks, the food, all good! The parking not so much but street parking is easy enough. They have a seasonal menu that's to die for. I got the pumpkin chipotle chicken enchiladas and wow just wow. They were spicy but sweet at the same time. Got a house margarita which is strong and big and just $14, hells yeah! Our waiter was so on top of things, food was brought out very fast and was hot. They bring you as many chips as you can stuff in your face, and the salsa was actually really good and spicy. The restaurant is super cute, lit nicely. Very spacious booths and tables, and to top it off their prices are actually affordable. For my party of 6 the bill was less than $200 and we all got alcohol. I will definitely be dining here again soon.

If you're in the Foothills and looking for a great spot for great Mexican food and drinks, look no further than Joselito's. The server we had was very good. He took our orders and even recommended a drink he created that was on the menu. My mom had it and loved it. It's a great atmosphere and definitely a spot I look forward to attending again in the near future.

This mexican restaurant is located in Tujunga and this place is always busy, the night I went here with a couple of my friends we had to wait for 45 minutes for a table to be available. There are not many sit down restaurants in Sunland/Tujunga. This restaurant also owns another restaurant in Montrose. The food is spectacular here. This meal I had was their monthly special. Plan on spending at least $100 to $200 dollars when eat here. My friends ordered a few drinks and we also had a large guacamole and extra chips. I do not mind if the price is high as long as the food is good. Our waiter was also and very attentive to us.

We had a lovely seat on a lower patio, putting us a little out if the way for checking on us. Nice set up, friendly staff, and delicious food. It was hard to choose from the menu, everything sounded worth ordering. Lucky we got the regular size guacamole, because it was huge! Excellent choice for supper.

I dig this place and apparently so does everyone else around here. Great Mexican food, great Margaritas (aren't they all) I come by here at least weekly to get the best Chicken Enchilada Soup to-go for my Mom. As long as I'm waiting I might as well have chips and salsa and a margarita. The service I experienced was good. Inside it feels like the typical Mexican restaurant but outside is a very quaint and welcoming patio. Not a lot of seating and a small parking lot, but it's worth the trouble. Another location in Montrose but most think this one is better. Prices seem average.

Hands down one of the best Mexican restaurants near by. The staff is very friendly and once you go a few times they will always remember you and what you like. Chips are always fresh and hot with the house made salsa. The guac made to order is amazing. You can beat the $2 taco Tuesday specials. I always ordering their catering as well as the regular menu food. Definitely check this place out. You wrong regret it

Go to spot for Mexican food, no joke. Always friendly and great workers. The fajitas are to die for and of course the chips and salsa. Beautiful interior design. Definitely recommend you check them out!

I am a frequent customer. Been coming here since the pandemic. This is my only go to for Mexican food. Just perfect. So good all the time. I actually have nothing negative to review here. I love their 3 item combos that include the crunchy taco. I am not a fan of their guacamole but that is purely personal preference. I prefer chunky. I also like their Mexican shrimp cocktail. Kids eat free on Sundays. Very good value. Friendly service. Great to bring a date.

Great spot and Celina is the absolute best. She went above and beyond in her service and even helped my wife find her phone after she lost it. Celina definitely deserves a promotion and raise as she cares deeply for her customers and community.

Place was pretty busy when we came in but service was fast! Outside patio is very cute. The chimichanga appetizer was great and we also enjoyed the tamale and chile relleno. The only thing I didn't prefer was the thickness of the breading (?) on the chile relleno. Luis our server was very friendly and even held onto our leftovers when we forgot them. I came back ten minutes later and he was kind enough to bag them up for us.

I've been going to Joselito's for a long time, and it's finally time to write a review. One thing for sure, they have excellent margaritas. Always consistent with taste and quality. The food over the years has been a little up and down, but for the last couple of years, the food has been very good. Love the staff; always a smile and great service. Awesome patio, cool interior (Simi dark like I like my Mexican restaurants). Parking is tight, but there's additional parking across the street. Great place for Sunday brunch. They have seasonal specialty menus as well!

Everything is great here: the food, the staff, the kitchen and the ambiance!!!! We have been looking for a great Mexican restaurant for a while. I found Joselito's on Yelp and we just had to see for ourselves. We have been going there now for a few months, and joined the VIP club! Just go, you will love it!!!!!!!
