"Joseph Bistro's signature green masala burrata cheese saladJoseph BistroBib Gourmand, MICHELIN Guide Taipei 2018Chef of the restaurant Joseph Vaz comes from Goa, Southern India, where many of the country’s vegetarians congregate. Naturally, Indian vegetarian dishes are the bistro’s strong suit. It also caters to those who avoid garlic, onion and other stimulants — they just need to state their preferences while ordering. The menu rotates every three to four months, but fans of the green masala burrata cheese salad can be assured that the signature dish will remain." - MICHELIN Guide Taipei Editorial Team

Joseph Bistro is a true gem among Indian restaurants. From the moment we entered, I was captivated by the warm ambiance and attentive service. The menu offers a tantalizing selection of authentic Indian dishes, each bursting with exquisite flavors and expertly prepared. The attention to detail, from presentation to taste, is truly commendable. Whether you're a connoisseur of Indian cuisine or looking to explore its vibrant flavors for the first time, here is an absolute must-visit in Taipei. It's a culinary experience that will leave you craving for more! And Joseph told us, they are opening a new restaurant in Diamond towers! Can’t wait to go.

Very delicate and creative type of Indian cuisine, every dishes is full of innovation, talent and effort. The menu not only reflects the nature of flavour and ingredients, but also develop a well balance of western and eastern elements and techniques. However, my favorite is fish curry, very straightforward and punchy performance on Indian traditional cuisine. Moreover, the desserts here are also stunning. Especially apple tart.

Outstanding Indian cuisine with cozy and warm dining environment, feels like home. Open kitchen design is always one of my favorite decorations in a restaurant. And I was surprised that I didn’t feel or smell strong cooking fumes out there. I ordered chicken and lamb, and both are tender and Asian-preferred taste. Dishes are exquisite and well-presented. I’d like to go visit again.

Joseph Bistro is in my roommate's pocket list after he watched the cooking reality show 《cooKing》Season 2. Chef Joseph is one of the best 50 chefs in Taiwan and Joseph Bistro is the only indian cuisine in Michelin the Plate of Taipei. The decor is modern and adorable with a cozy ambiance. Their options on the menu are various from appetizer, grill, curry & dessert...etc and adjusted by seasons. We got Lemon Achari Cobia Steak, 2 orders of Thali of The Season, and Silver Barfi Sampler to share with a group of three. The portion was enough and the taste was amazingly delicious with lots of surprise. Our favorites were the chicken tikka which was tender, and abalone balchao which was flavorful from Thali of the Season. We highly recommend people who have difficulty making up their decisions to try Thali since it would include all of the signature dishes on a plate. Overall it was a great experience dining there and we can felt how Joseph cares about what he serves to us.

Fancy and tasty. I didn’t try many Indian restaurants before in Taiwan, but I would say it may be the best Indian cuisine bistro comparing with other food in Taipei. I would like to recommend people who fancy to have some Indian curry or steak during weekdays.

Fantastic Indian fusion cuisine. Chief Joseph had years of experience at several Five Star Hotels. This cozy place of his can provide flexible menu if you block the entire restaurant. Largest table can seat 14 people.

Great food of a modern twist of Indian food, adapted to the local palate with wide selection of drinks available and great hospitality of Joseph who is at the helm of this small little restaurant. Ambience: 5/5 eight and nine tables for two that can also be put together and a big table that seats 10. Family friendly, music very soft, courteous and friendly service. Grateful they paid attention to my dietary issues. Food: 5/5 very well presented. Most Indian restaurants in town prefer to present their food in the homestyle fashion. Here every dish is well balanced in terms of sauce Vs. Main ingredient. Less spicy, slightly localised flavours but each plate a delight. Decor: 3/5 work could be done. Even as decorated in simple minimal light wood colour scheme there's a general dissonance between the kids painting, the ceramic tiles or the kitchen and the cupboards at the far back ( with lights in black which makes no sense. Yet bonus points for the open kitchen . Bonus: They are growing their own vegetables and food is seasonal.
