I've been coming to Josh Wood for about 2 years. The staff are always friendly, the studio is fabulous and clean. Biggest shout out to my hair dresser Tasha Spencer. I've been one of her clients since 2018 and moved over to Josh Wood from her previous salon. We have done so many different hair colours together. I'm considered a crazy hair coloured person as I have had blue hair for the past two years. Even at my faded I still get asked how I keep my blue so vibrant and the answer is Tasha. She knows her colour theory and how to make your next colour hair goals happen. This the colour hair specialist you want!

I had a privilege to model Luke for his final round of cut. First time in this salon. There’s a great diversity of across spectrum age of hairdressers, which bodes inclusivity, the salon is busy in a good way. The environment it zen, and the building finish (interior design and function) is superb. They promote Josh Wood products. My experience was superb and will likely return and can’t fail this place.

I had the most incredible experience with Jay at Josh Wood Salon. He completely transformed my hair, taking me from disconnected, multi-tonal colour to the most lusciously creamy blonde. I was genuinely jaw dropped when he revealed the final result - it was beyond anything I expected. Jay’s talent, attention to detail, and sweetness made the entire experience feel so special, and I felt completely in safe hands throughout. I will most certainly be going back :-) The salon itself is absolutely welcoming, with such a lovely atmosphere that makes you instantly feel comfortable. I’ve been seeing Jamie at Josh Wood for many years and wouldn’t go anywhere else. Jamie is incredibly knowledgeable, takes time to listen, and always delivers results that look natural and grow out beautifully. I recommend Jamie without hesitation. Such a talented colourist and a genuinely lovely person — highly recommend!

Tasha has been doing my hair since 2016, and I'm still in love with my steel blue blunt bob! She is a hair colour genius and I will literally go to no one else. I still get compliments from strangers and friends, and I owe it all to Tasha. Safe to say she'll be doing this hair cut for another few decades!

I recently visited Josh Wood and had the pleasure of being styled by Freddie. From start to finish, my experience was exceptional. I came in wanting long layers and face-framing cuts, and Freddie took the time to have a thorough consultation with me to understand exactly what I was looking for. The results were absolutely amazing. He managed to give me the perfect cut, keeping the length I wanted while removing the dead ends. It was exactly what I had envisioned! The salon itself had such a warm and welcoming atmosphere. I was offered drinks multiple times, which added a nice touch to the experience. The entire staff was friendly, making me feel right at home. However, it was Freddie who truly made the experience stand out. His attention to detail and professionalism made my visit 100% better. I’m beyond happy with my new cut and will definitely be returning!

I should have heeded my intuition when a red flag occurred during the consultation. It seemed to go well and I thought we were on the same page. Clearly not. We agreed on a service and I subsequently booked in for a half head blonde Balyage. I arrived for my appointment both nervous and excited, because josh Wood has a great reputation. However, when he said let's recap he suggested something else entirely! Jamie proceeded to tell me we had been chatting for half an hour, and he had 10 more appointments so what did I want to do!? I was surprised and shocked. I do not expect someone at this price point of £400 to rush a client. I only went ahead with the appointment because I was committed having provided my Credit card details in advance. Josh wood take full prepayment if you cancel without notice. When the colour was finished I was told I had a free blow dry "on the house" which I did not want. Although, a lovely young girl took me upstairs but I found it too noisy and cramped due to being neuro divergent.. The icing on the cake was that I left with worse hair than when I went in.

Josh Wood Hair completely exceeded my expectations. As a guy getting both a cut and colour, I wasn’t sure what to expect—but from start to finish, the experience was top-tier. I went in wanting a subtle refresh—nothing too bold, just something to give my hair more depth and a cleaner look. The colourist got it exactly right: natural, low-maintenance, and somehow made my hair look healthier and shinier. The cut was sharp and well-structured without being too styled, which is exactly what I wanted. The salon itself has a great atmosphere—modern, relaxed, and genuinely welcoming. Everyone I interacted with was friendly and clearly skilled at what they do. Best my hair has looked in years. I’ve already had a few compliments and questions about where I got it done. I’ll definitely be back. Highly recommend—especially for guys who want more than just a quick chop at the barbershop.

The worse ever, they damaged my hair, took too long to try to fix it and at the end, way very expansive. Not recommended at all

I had a fantastic experience at this salon. The staff are very professional and the guy who coloured my hair (semi-permanent) did a great job: not a single bit of grey left. My hair last looked like this 20 years ago. As I had never had my hair coloured before, they also gave me a free blow dry, which was very kind of them. Recommended!

I've been to both locations. Haircut was the worst I've had in years! I brought a pic and yet the so called stylist managed to butcher my hair. Went for pedi and i just got a buff and coating. No trimming cuticles or massage. The receptionist was rude. DON'T GO HERE! Stylists are horrible!

I have been to get my hair highlighted at both of his salons and also had a manicure. The colouring first time was ok, the blow dry was appalling and the manicure was one of the worst I've ever had. The second time I went to the salon at Liberty's which is small, cold and uncomfortable. I noticed when I got home that the roots were showing but didn't go back as I was then I'll and Christmas was upon us. I returned yesterday and was told their policy is that if you are unhappy about something that you need to report it straight away. They were completely unapologetic and obviously couldn't care less whether a (potentially) good customer was unhappy. The receptionist at both salons are like ice maidens and obviously think that you should think yourself lucky to be having your hair done there at all. The whole thing is a con and they have firmly set their sights on the Notting Hillbilly's who have more money and time than sense. Go at your peril.
