"Figment is a beloved Epcot icon, and the ride's song is undeniably catchy. That said, Journey Into Imagination With Figment is best ridden when there's little to no wait." - Travel + Leisure Editors

Google
We love this ride at Epcot. It always gets you smiling with the music and of course Figment. Even though this version is nowhere near being as good as the original it is always fun for the whole family. Wait times are usually low and the line moves fairly quick. Remember the queue is indoor where it is ally move and cool, which helps during those hot summer days (8 months of the year here in Florida)

Google
This is one of my favorites! It’s a must ride every visit!

Landon Bellamy

Google
Figment is a good character, but that’s the only highlight of this ride. This pavilion has seen better days, and it’s apparent through the CGI figment on the screens. The ride is unbearable, and the pacing is weird if you’re in the back vehicle. However, due to this, the wait for this ride is 20 minutes at most. There’s a DVC lounge at the top of this pavilion, and you can meet Joy and Figment after the ride, if they’re available. Overall, don’t go to this ride unless you want a nostalgia trip or you’re bored.

Richard Yu

Google
It’s a cute ride, often without any waiting. It’s perfect for grandparents/grandkids time and strongly recommended for : - toddler, kindergartener - avoid bad weather You may not like this ride, but it’s perfect for some demographics. Tip : if you are traveling with teenagers, please skip this ride. They may get mad at you.

Jonathan Mingozzi

Google
I'm surprised at the high rating for this ride. This ride, and the pavilion as a whole, are nothing like the beacon of creativity that once lay here. The Imagination Pavilion of the 90s was so much better, and the original Journey Into Imagination was arguably the greatest EPCOT attraction ever created. I'm not sure why Disney didn't update this pavilion during the EPCOT overhaul.

Google
It has been awhile since we have been, but finally able to leave a review. I have heard that they have since changed this ride up a bit, but this is how I remember it and I’m sure it still hovers the same thought of “Figment” and your imagination! A walk around and then ride inside this cool building! Outside, fountain sculptures recreate the look of the building. Don’t forget the jumping water outside! That in itself, is amazing! You never knew where it would come from next! Various things to do around this ride!

Raul Rodriguez

Google
5 stars for Figment (he’s my fave after all), 1 star for the ride. It would be wise of Disney management to finally inject much-needed funding into this pavilion and give Figment a proper ride like he once had (see Journey into Imagination 1983-1998).

Jaxsen

Google
An alright Epcot attraction. Figment himself is an extremely fun and wacky character, and he is what makes this attraction good. However, this isn’t really a favorite of mine, or anybody really. This might need a refurb sometime soon. This definitely won’t beat the original journey into imagination.

Yelp
Listen, I absolutely love Figment, however, this ride is screaming for an update/revamp. I don't know how they took the original ride and made it worse instead of better. I'll have to do with the partnership they had with Kodak back in the day. It's still charming though! You can just tell it's I hate to say this but... Cheaply made. You can tell where it was unfinished, and they just kind of piece together something that was good enough to get by. But in the last couple years, the character of figment has really had a chokehold on a lot of Disney fans, including myself. So I'm hoping with this newfound popularity/renaissance of the character, they will take the initiative to give the character a ride it deserves. You know, instead of revamping Test Track for the 3rd time they could put that money towards a ride that sorely needs it. It's on my "must do" list, but it's not for everyone

Yelp
The ambiance is quite cool with an interestingly retro-futuristic vibe kind of like back to the future. When you're in the queue you see a sensory lab and some displays of a reception. It's almost like a science fair. Once you get in you're in a ride that feels quite dated. Basically you go through different parts where your senses are tested including vision for color, smell, and so on. There is also a funny dragon named figment following along. Overall it's decent but the ride feels really old and not modern.

Courtenay O.

Yelp
What's not to love about Figment?? He sparks the imagination & children as well as adults love him. Our adult nieces are his biggest fans, and the young nieces love him, too. But when we visit without them, we still want to go. It's a journey into our senses (smell, sight, touch, sound) and to the world beyond. Eric Idle is a brilliant professor, following in the footsteps of Robin Williams and Rick Moranis.

Brian F.

Yelp
We were looking to pass some time at Epcot and decided to go on Journey into Imagination with Figment. Figment is the name of the dragon character in the Imagination section of the park. It was a slow ride and was not very stimulating. It was more of a kids ride and it was not our cup of tea.

Alan L.

Yelp
A very wacky and interesting ride. Certainly did not expect anything like that when we first walked in, and it definitely opened our mind and required a great deal of imagination for us. The theme song was quite catchy, and make sure to keep your eyes on the moth!

Monique W.

Yelp
Epcot has limited amount of family friendly rides and Journey into Imagination with Figment is one of the best rides at Epcot! Journey into Imagination with Figment is located in the Imagination pavilion, right next to Disney and Pixar Short Film Festival. This attraction originally opened in 1983, with an update in 2002 for figment. It's a slow, dark ride with animatronics. If it's the summer, this ride is great because it's fully AC and after the ride, there is a wonderful interactive play area as well! The ride takes you on a imagination journey, using your senses such as sound, sight, and smell. It typically has a small wait time too, especially in the morning and evenings. Once you're off the ride and through the interactive play area, there is a figment inspired gift shop offering a wide range of apparel, toys, plushies and much more!

Amanda L.

Yelp
This ride is so CAMP and definitely a cult classic I would say. One of my friends in my group that I came to Disney with is the biggest Figment fan - he even Disney-bounded as Figment on this day! So I went into this ride VERY HYPED by said friend and the ride was so stinking cute! It's definitely a bit old and "wobbly," but it's endearing in all its slight rundown-ness for Disney standards hahaha. You can definitely see the age with this ride, but it's fun, especially for kids, because there is tons to interact with, especially after the ride! It's all about encouraging and fostering imagination and we love to see it! Bonus points to this ride/space because this is where the Flubber representation is!!!!!

Maggie H.

Yelp
I maybe kinda barely remember riding Journey into Imagination with Figment years ago. Or maybe I didn't. Well, we rode it the other day. It's an OK dark ride. Figment is a silly character apparently made just for this ride. It needs... something. I don't know what that something is. Eric Idle is fine, but I would like to see him replaced w/ another actor who is more current.

Joseph G.

Yelp
Journey into imagination is a neat little attraction and ride located inside of Disney's Epcot park featuring figment the imagination dragon. The ride is mainly animatronics and boasts help from popular Disney scientist from movies such as flubber, nutty professor and honey I shrunk the kids. The ride itself is for all sizes and ages and really provokes you to use your imagination and has some really cool animatronics and visuals. Overall a cut little ride that why not big on thrills is always one my kiddos enjoy seeing. They love figment and wish he was in more cartoons or movies.

Ryan B.

Yelp
IIIIIIIMAAAAGINAATIOON....zzzzzzzz. My favorite part of this ride was getting off. This ride used to be good but then they ruined it. It was so boring and definitely kid-geared. They call it a journey into imagination, but it's really a journey into boredom. The only reason I would ride this ride again is for the air conditioning. Maybe it would be fun for some little kids or those adults who actually like Figment, but definitely not for anyone else.

Matthew U.

Yelp
This ride is so corny but entertaining at the same time. I really don't know why I was so entertained by this, but it was a nice respite from the lines and heat. I entered and got on the ride at a decent time and was on my way. Being along made for a nice stretch out in the car. I just sat back and let my eyes wonder around the ride as it pulled me further along the line. The ride is a treat for all of your senses, and I mean all of your senses. Everything is so brightly colored in here that it is hard to miss anything. The oddest part of this ride is when you basically get farted on to hit your sense of smell. It was also entertaining. I mean, and don't act like you don't do this, laughing at a good fart is part of being alive. With Disney's far reaching filmography there is a lot of scientists they can pull footage from to aide in the experience here. If I remember correctly they even used Flubber at one point. It is a bit dated, seeing that the ride has been open for decades at this point. Honestly, they should give Figment his own film franchise. Or at least a television cartoon show, they could put an educational spin on it as well.

Megan L.

Yelp
I'm not sure why people like this ride. It was okay but kind of boring. It did have a low wait time. I wouldn't wait super long to ride this ride. It's not worth a long wait time.

Jackson Y.

Yelp
This is perhaps the most obscure attraction we attended at Disney. It seems that they went out of their way to NOT use one of the countless number of famous Disney characters in their library in lieu of an "original" character named figment. This is a slow ride with animatronics featuring Eric Idle portraying a scientist. Ride wise, it was ok, but very forgettable.

Chris B.

Yelp
Journey Into Imagination is an air conditioned, sit and stay, classic indoor dark ride that takes you through the human senses guided by science, and, of course, the ICON himself : Figment. He's fun and cute and whimsical. This is a good ride for around mid-day or during the afternoon . The wait time is usually no more than 15 minutes. Enjoy your journey into imagination My grandkids loved this ride. Loved the upside down room.

Stacy F.

Yelp
We love Epcot. From the festivals to the pavilions it's always a great time. It's a quieter park compared to the others, which we enjoy. Spice Road Table is a great sit down restaurant option. The Japan noodle quick serve is a great eat and go spot. Food and wine is our personal favorite festival with the art festival a close second! Overall: A++ We love this park and recommend hitting them during a festival!!

Jen P.

Yelp
It's a good ride, but I think they need to do some updates to it. This is a very good classic ride, but they could make some refurbishments to it but the journey into your imagination with figment is a pretty good.

Krista C.

Yelp
Just use your imagination! That's the lesson to be learned on this cute little Epcot classic. Originally opened in 1983 and located in the imagination pavilion is Journey into Imagination a slow moving ride featuring Dream Finder and a purple dragon named figment. The ride has changed 3 times over the years with the current version featuring Dr Nigel Channing and figment. During the ride you senses of smell, hearing, and sight are all stimulated to help you use your imagination. This ride is a classic and good for both the young and old. I honestly like the 80's version better. Till this day I cannot understand why they removed the beloved character Dream Finder. While this is not a thrill ride I still find it fun and you'll be left with the catchy tune One Spark of Light in your head long after your journey is over. At the conclusion of the ride you are invited to set your imagination wild in the what if labs?.

Austin B.

Yelp
This ride is a classical must do when it comes to Epcot. Located in future world right near the ride Soarin, you are taken through a tour of your imagination with the ever so cherished, lovable, funny, and dare I say magical, Figment! The ride consists of four moving vehicles and takes you on a journey through the different senses. It starts off with sound, followed by sight, smell and then a nice little shake-up that will leave you laughing. While the ride is dated, the animatronic figment and little special effects that this ride offers definitely will make you want to go on it again and again. During the holidays they are now putting an adorable "ugly" sweater on the figment animatronics so be on the lookout for that as well! The queue of this ride is nicely themed to look like a building with multiple doctors, some doors and photos nodding to other "scientists" in the Disney universe, such as the creator of Flubber and the scientist who shrunk the kids. The ride opens later than other rides at Epcot and also closes earlier. There is usually not a long wait but on peak days, be prepared to wait!!! The giftshop is equally as adorable and offers many different items that are figment themed, for you to take home. They have Pillow Pets, key chains and shirts among many other things. Decent prices here for sure!

Austin G.

Yelp
Half way through this ride, my five-year-old daughter said, "This one is boring." It's not as fast paced as the others and a little odd, but at one point, an intense wind hits you, which my daughter thought was fun. As you exit, there's a little hands-on play area with AC.

Alexis L.

Yelp
I geek out on psychology and the Freuds theory of an Id in the psychic apparatus. Personally that's what I think Fink. The defiant little character on us that want our imagination to come out. This is a GREAT heat/rain beater with their Image Works center following the ride. Where little ones can even meet Wreck It Ralph Penelope. Back to the ride every seat is a good seat in the house if you can get the center front row of the pod count yourself having optimal ride experience. Either way you will enjoy yourself. You are entering into the days Open House for the Academy but Fink is going to take you through a sensory whirlwind. Pushing the carts into his Imagination academy where you will be challenged to use your Imagination during the tantalizing experience.

Yelp
A good pleasant ride for the whole family This ride is in EPCOT on the Walt Disney World complex. It is located just past The Land in the large triangle-shaped building on the west side of the park. The ride is a whimsical journey through to explore many of your senses in an effort to spark you imagination. I have been on this many times. It has rarely had a line or a wait time more than 5 minutes. The "cars" that you ride can easily fit more than 3 people across. It moves slowly through the ride and does not have any scary parts. When you exit, you wo through a "lab" where, during non-COVID times, you can explore some of the games to spark your creative side. It is a pleasant ride for adults and children alike.

Dan R.

Yelp
Take a ride... to a journey to the center of the mind (Ted Nugent and the Amboy Dukes) A purple dragon named Figment and Dr. Nigel Channing of the Imagination Institute (who looked and sounded a lot like Eric Idle) were our companions on this ride through the Institute's five labs to explore the five senses. Figment caused all sorts of mayhem along the way -he made train and telephone sounds, knocked letters off an eye chart, and transformed himself into a skunk and blasted us with a gross smell as rode by. It was a very gentle ride that should be fine for any young child. Adults may not be as enthralled.... The "wait" to get in was pretty much non-existent.

Michelle R.

Yelp
If done right, Epcot will take you 2 days at least to visit. It is going through construction right now (as of Feb 2020) so expect a new entrance when its done. You will either love Epcot or go "meh" because its too educational, not to mention a helluva lot of walking. If you're a foodie, the World Showcase area is where it's at... food and drinking. If you're a dining plan holder, use your snack points and eat around the kiosks (if available during Food & Wine, Festival of the Arts, etc.). DO NOT waste a fast pass for the fireworks show. Lame viewing area. Go and find a spot along the water and save your pass. DO ride the Skyliner (ie: sky buckets) which will take you to the new Riviera resort, or connect you to the Hollywood Studios. TIP: if you are staying on property, rather than walking to the front of the entrance for the bus, take the Skyliner (located by the UK and Canada pavilion) to Hollywood Studios and catch your hotel bus there. Bring water or your hydroflask... you never know if you get stuck walking somewhere and you need a drink.

Kara M.

Yelp
It's so great to see my old pal Figment again! I LOVED the original ride when I was a kid, so I was sad to see this exhibit closed one of my past visits (years ago). Heck, I still have my original Figment stuffed animal from the 1980s! I remember the rainbow colored tunnel that was part of this attraction from childhood, too bad it's gone. I think us Xennials will probably appreciate that this ride is still here. I had such fond memories of this ride, but the new version is lackluster. The original was so whimsical with the Dream Finder and quite charming, they really need to incorporate some of the old aspects back in. My favorite scene in this new ride is at the end when the imagination song plays and we see all of the figments. I love the bright colors!! This ride is very mellow and great for young kids or those who aren't into wild ride. I've seen wait times vary from 5-30 minutes for this attraction.

Lorie L.

Yelp
Epcot is enjoyed (or not) for different reasons. Compared to Magic Kingdom, I think it's harder to appeal to families, especially with smaller children. Then again it contains a couple of my favorite rides. Test Track is amazing. Do not miss it! If it works, grab a fast pass but if not, consider going as single riders. Spaceship Earth is also a favorite and educational, and some appreciate Mission Space. Younger ones may enjoy the aquarium area near Nemo & Friends but after visiting well known aquariums, it's a bit sad. Restaurants at the entrance and until you get to the countries arents very impressive. Most are fast food and the table services rate low on Yelp. Your best food options are within the various countries. If you enjoy browsing shops and snacking your way through the day, the countries will excite you. Only 2-4 attractions are on this side but I think we'll see Disney create more. Near France you'll find the skyliner which is a great way to travel as compared to the buses. Many people enjoy the Epcot show on the lake. 2019 brought a new show. If you give yourself a full day to enjoy Epcot, it should be enough to enjoy the attractions and food you're looking forward to.

Victoria M.

Yelp
Wow, I love Epcot. I miss it all the time! Being greeted by Spaceship Earth aka the dome/sphere really gets you in the mood for a day at Epcot. A Permanent World's Fair and the world of the Future all rolled into one. It is mesmerizing, entertaining, and educational. Epcot is the most geared Disney park for adults but there is still plenty of stuff for the kiddos to explore - less fantasy/storybook and more educational and inspiring - for all ages. We went during the International Food & Wine Festival. I highly recommend going during this time if you want the most bang for your buck by eating/drinking your way around the World for a fraction of the price. The World Showcase is amazing and the transition between countries is seamless. One minute you are enjoying the sights and sounds of Mexico and the next you are in Norway the next minute you realize you are in the good ol' USA! I loved experiencing each new country and checking out what each has to offer. My husband and I would shout out what country we were in next as we guessed as we went along. Each country has its own stores for merchandise, cultural gifts, and of course food/drink. Easily could spend 20-60 minutes in each country, especially if you eat/drink. It was also cool that Disney staff members are typically from the country you are in. Enjoy your stroll through World Showcase but also make sure to ride the Frozen Ever After ride and Gran Fiesta Tour Starring the Three Caballeros. Now let's get to Future World. Future World - now Future World is undergoing a big renovation at Epcot but when I went in fall 2019 it was still called "Future World". Here is where most of the rides are located. Future World is located in the main entrance of the park. It may be tempting to head right for Spaceship Earth since it is right there when you walk in the park but do not! There is not a long wait for Spaceship Earth, so venture to more popular rides like Frozen Ever After or Soarin'. Do not waste your money on food or drink here - try to head to World Showcase for eating and drinking. We spent most of our time in Future World enjoying the rides and other attractions. Tons to see! We did Epcot in one day - was it a long day, yup! From rope drop until the firework show. But it is doable - we do not have kiddos, so that could always change your Epcot experience. The firework show starts at 9pm and it is along the World Showcase Lagoon. Beautiful firework show and nothing I have seen before. I was not that interested in seeing it and thought to leave early or try to get another ride in but I am glad we stayed to watch the show. More than just a firework show but a whole experience! Disney does it right and I will gladly pay over $100+ a ticket. The crew members are amazing, so nice and helpful. The cleanest amusement park you will ever visit and the park is ever-changing. Do not pass up Epcot!!

Anne F.

Yelp
I love this attraction at Epcot. I don't have kids, but I always end up laughing and having a great time with my friends on this ride. It is a cheesy animatronic ride that takes you through the five senses. Throughout your journey Figment (a little purple dragon) messes with each scene encouraging more imagination. It's cheesy. It's short. It isn't created for adults, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying it. The line is usually non-existent or Fastpasses are easy to grab. It absolutely isn't something that is a "must do" on my Disney itinerary, but it is always something I enjoy when I have some time to spare in that part of Epcot.

Ida H.

Yelp
I guess I'm a little too old for this ride and never had kids, but I can still appreciate it's intentions. I had never even heard of a flying dragon named Figment until now either! None the less, it's still cute, fun and funny for the children. A colorful and educational way to motivate the younger generation to be creative and use their imaginations. This 3D family oriented ride starts off with a professor trying to teach imagination in a boring, scientific way, only to get interrupted multiple times by his assistant Figment, demonstrating his more plausible and unique versions of imagination with a logical use of sight, sounds, touch, taste and smell. Eventually, Figment pretty much takes over the class and convinces the professor that imagination and a catchy tune is all that's necessary to trigger a sense of creativity. Riders are transported into a world of animation, colorful decor, and exit with smiles on their faces. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UpempCSp2-w

Yelp
Great for small children, but not so much for everyone else. The best rides are those which can make the people who are 4 or 40 enjoy it just as much, but this is a lopsided relationship. For a ride that claims to be a journey into the imagination, it's actually quite bland and unimaginative. For a ride being in an area that prides itself on technology, I find the advancements in the ride quite lacking. After the ride is over, you are released into a play area for children to play and experiment with the imagination. Don't Wait Longer Than 5 Minutes: Luckily, the wait time for this ride is rather short, and pretty short throughout the whole day. Go on this ride maybe when the line are a bit longer everywhere else and your waiting for things to die down a bit. Ride/Attraction Rating (D), Queue Line/Area (B-), Wait Time (B+)

Erika S.

Yelp
My 100th Yelp review goes to this whimsical, perplexing attraction that I used to hate, but now adore. Journey's history and transformations are fascinating but sad. Basically, the ride you see today was created in 2002 as a hurried attempt to bring Figment the purple dragon back to Epcot, and it's been the park's eyesore ever since. What to expect: Dr. Nigel Channing invites you to the Imagination Institute's open house where you'll ride a slow-moving tour tram through the five senses. Figment hijacks the tour, taking guests on a kaleidoscope-colored adventure through the imagination. The sets are essentially office supply showrooms and neon boards moving over black curtains. For a ride about the imagination, it's rather unimaginative. It's a poor example of Disney storytelling, and therefore skippable. If you have a limited time at Epcot, skip this attraction, and definitely skip it if your group is older than grade 5. A lot of kids enjoy this ride and its catchy song, but mostly guests leave confused about what they just witnessed. Still, there's a lot to appreciate about this attraction: *Figment is Epcot's mascot, making him the first character created to represent a Disney park. *The queue showcases ACTUAL MOVIE PROPS from Honey, I Shrunk the Kids and Flubber. Ask a cast member to let you behind the ropes for a closer look. *Take pictures in the Reception Desk area of the queue and sign your name in the notebook. It's like taking a backstage tour for free! Same with Dimensions Hall on the left. Though this illusion room was deemed unsafe, some cast members will let you take a quick photo inside. *The ride is usually a walk-on, especially in the morning. This means you can take your time admiring the queue from a micro level and pick which seat you want (PRO TIP: rows 3 and 5 are the best because they put you in the middle of the action, while row 1 is the worst.) *Something extraordinary happens now and then for only those sitting in the last row. Right after Figment changes the course and sings you to his house, stare at Figment behind you. Sometimes, just as you're about to round the corner, he'll turn and WAVE AT YOU. It's creepy-awesome and rare. *So many HIDDEN MICKEYS: 1. In the Sight Lab, spot one on the right side of the white board. 2. Mickey ears are attached to one of the props on the steel table in the Sight Lab. 3. Looking up in Figment's house, find one made out of food on a dinner plate. 4. Also at his house, find Figment in a bubble bath. Three bubbles next to his hand make a Hidden Mickey. 5. This one is difficult to see: an egg in Figment's fridge has a dark Mickey spot. 6. In the final scene, find a white Hidden Mickey on the giant "A" for "Action." I could talk for days about the details of this pavilion, but hopefully this was enough to spark your curiosity. Figment is awesome. Give this attraction some love, because it probably won't be around much longer.

Kristina G.

Yelp
True its not as good as the ride before. But its still adorable and cheesy and the kids love it. I don't mind the cheese on this ride. It is what it is. I love Figment and the scientist guy is pretty goofy. I like the different senses that you experience throughout the ride and I love the song at the end. My husband thinks its so dumb but I like it. There's never a wait too so its not torture to go through it. The after ride area is lacking. I do miss the after areas for a lot of these epcot rides. They used to be what I looked forward to most. They had a lot of fun interactive things that wow'ed me as a kid. Now they're not really remarkable. In fact, we usually walk right on through. Maybe my perception was different as a kid? But I don't know I just remember those areas being AWESOME. Either way I love me some figment and here is where I get my fix. And those ride cars can fit like 6 people so its a family affair!

Courtney E.

Yelp
I loooooooove this ride! I think it's just because Figment was a big part of my childhood, so I probably love it for nostalgic reasons. This ride needs some refreshing, and maybe a new storyline, but it's a fun way to get out of the sun for a bit and sit in some a/c. This is a good ride for all ages. There are a few moments where you'll be in the dark, so if you have anyone in your party that is afraid of the dark you've been warned. Nothing scary about this ride, unless you count the song that will be permanently stuck in your head the rest of your life. The ride vehicles move slow, which is fine with me - more time to cool off and rest my feet. If you're hesitant about this ride, don't be.

Aja O.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite attractions ever! I love the original version ten times better, but we're stuck with this one which is still good. I love figment and the cute song that plays throughout the ride. It is a nice break from the heat and u think the ride is very enjoyable.I highly recommend checking this place out.

Yelp
Brief Description: Figment - a small dragon - takes you on a tour of the "Imagination Institute", where you experience different rooms that all focus in primarily on one of each of the five senses. Pros: Good for young kids, colorful, good sensory stimulation. Some cute signs and videos in queue for the ride. The play area/room after the ride was really our kids' primary highlight. We hung out here for a good 20 minutes or so. Cons: Slow, nothing exhilarating or ground breaking. Follows the Disney formula for basic family rides. Needs to be modernized and updated. Attempts at humor are pretty weak, even for targeting the very young. Ride rating: 1/5 Experience rating: 2/5 My advice: ONLY hit it if there's little-to-no wait, or skip it and ride Soarin' for a fourth time.

Yelp
Gahhhhh I love this ride so much. I know it is dated and silly, but Figment holds a special place in my heart. The ride has evolved over time (not necessarily for the better), but I am happy to have this version rather than no Figment ride at all. The ride itself is a slow moving "tour" through an imagination lab, where some clever dialogue is given about how all of the senses relate to each other and how if you can imagine something, it can come true. All pretty hokey, but all very cute!

Yelp
Epcot is my favorite park at Disney World! Nothing can beat World Showcase in my humble opinion. You are transported to 11 different countries right in Orlando. My personal favorite is Japan. They have the best shop in all of World Showcase with the greatest variety and most authentic items. The candy maker is so cool to watch for awhile! And I love the restaurants here. Every single country in World Showcase is super cool though! World Showcase has the best restaurants in the theme parks. I've never had a bad meal at any of the amazing restaurants. You can meet tons of characters in their native countries (Mary Poppins & Alice in Wonderland in the UK, Mulan in China, Marie from the Aristocats in france and many more). Via Napoli is an excellent restaurant in Italy I recommend. Les Chefs de France is another goodie. Also grab some treats from the various bakeries in each country! You won't regret it! I love getting some fish & chips from Yorkshire County Fish Shop in the UK, then grabbing a seat along the water for Illuminations. Future World is full of fun rides, attractions and shows like Journey Into Imagination with Figment (a personal favorite but not loved by all), Test Track (high speed fun!) and Soarin (sights and smells galore while flying high!). Club Cool fives a nice break from everything letting you try pop from around the world---for free!!! :D I also love Captain EO and I suggest any Michael Jackson fan check it out! For dining in Future World, I recommend Coral Reef. Food is average but the experience and view of the gigantic aquarium is phenomenal! This park holds many cool events and activities but my absolute favorite is the Food & Wine Festival! If you're a foodie, I highly recommend this event! See that listing on Yelp for much more information. Their nighttime show, IllumiNations, is so moving and I think you must see it! Do not miss Epcot!!! You can ride the monorail in, take a bus or ride a boat from the Disney hotels depending on which you're staying at!

Yelp
EPCOT was a park that I was GREATLY anticipating visiting when I took my first visit in 2013. And sure enough, I LOVED it! It has so many things that you will NEVER find at any theme park around the world. First of all, the rides are outstanding. Test Track is the absolute BEST dark ride that I've ridden and Mission: SPACE and Soarin' are two of the best Motion Simulators out there. On top of that, you also have Spaceship Earth which is a really cool ride with a fun interactive game at the end and Frozen Ever After which seemed like a cool ride (I've only ridden it when it was Maelstrom btw). I loved it so much that when I went back to Florida in 2016, we came to EPCOT again despite me not going to any of the other theme parks in Walt Disney World and I STILL loved it! And with Hollywood Studios losing what I loved about it, this is now my favorite Disney Theme park in the WDW resort. Can you say food? Well, the park has probably some of the best food you'll ever find at a theme park. Most specifically, the Via Napoli. This is BY FAR the best Pizza you will find ANYWHERE. And don't get me started with the Rosemary Potatoes. Good God, I love this place just as much as I love this park! And that's saying something right there! So yeah, EAT THERE! Now the ride operations, usually they are top notch for Disney Standards. But at EPCOT, they can be slowish. Now it's not the park's fault at all and they do the best they can with them, but most of the rides often have low capacity which can result in long wait times (I've seen Soarin' and Test Track get 4-6 hour lines.) With that being said, it's still better than the average park in terms of operations so it's not a huge deal at all. For the other stuff they have, they have Illuminations which is an outstanding Fireworks show, and World Showcase which has many different exhibits and films that showcase many different places across the globe. And yeah, it's epic. It makes you feel like you are in that country! (No this does NOT mean you've traveled to said country and no neither does riding Soarin, actually visit these places before bragging to your friends). The Norway Pavillion used to house Maelstrom which was a GREAT water ride, but unfortunately, that closed in 2014 and was replaced with Frozen Ever After (Kind of like how TOT at Disneyland became Mission Breakout at Disneyland) and it still looks pretty cool so I can forgive it somewhat (Maelstrom looks better though). Not only that, but the park has so many cool and interactive walk through exhibits that you can experience through the day. For the cons, there's really only one thing that bugs me. And that's Ellen's Energy Adventure which was probably the worst ride ever built (I hate to be mean but I am dead serious). However, that got demolished and is being replaced with a GOTG Rollercoaster so that's awesome. So yeah, other than the current lack of a rollercoaster, the park is nearly flawless. So if you like cool interactive nerdy stuff and you like to learn more about different World Cultures and AWESOME Dark Rides and Simulators. Then EPCOT is the park for you. Although it's not my absolute favorite theme park, it's pretty damn close to it. Easily my 2nd favorite theme park right now. So yeah, if you're in the Florida area. GO TO EPCOT!

Yelp
This ride might be designed for the little ones, but I really enjoy this relaxing fun ride. The ride is long and the song is also super catchy and nowhere near as annoying as the "it's a small world" song. It was a great time for the older folks to relax a bit, charge the batteries, and maybe catch a second wind. After the ride, there's even more things to keep the little kids occupied with activities designed to engage their imagination.

Yelp
Ignore all the naysayers reviews, they are mostly from unimaginative adults who do not have children. Located in the Imagination Pavilion, Journey Into Imagination With Figment is an often neglected attraction by patrons at Epcot. The queue is often 5 minutes or less, occasionally it can have a wait, I've never seen it more than approximately 40 minutes & that is during holiday or special event weeks such as Christmas, Spring Break, Food & Wine and Flower & Garden. Once on board you're buggy, your'e on your way through a journey of sight, sound and smell. It's hosted by Dr Nigel Channing (Eric Idle) but is hijacked by Figment, the purple mischievous dragon (a character created from the saying "figment of your imagination") I love to watch guests faces when they hit the jackpot and a gust of scented air fills the room (I don't want to say where this happens in the ride, so as no to ruin it) but the scent that is posted on other reovirus is described as terrible & offensive....is the scent of fresh ground coffee beans. At the end of your ride make sure to have some fun in Figments Playhouse, think back to your carefree childhood days and remember how much fun it was to play! You can use your arms, hands & feet and "play" various instruments with Figment. Play tunes and games with coloured lights on the floors and walls. Create to your hearts delight, children have the most fun in this area and can expend some of their energy in the mostly "adult" type park. There are professional photo areas that can place you and your crew into a photo as Disney characters. And there are 2 photo booths that you can take fun pics that are printed on a strip. If you are an annual pass holder the photo booth pictures are free, just tap your magic band or pass on the Mickey. DVC members lounge is located upstairs from the store. Just show your DVC card to the cast members at the booth. My children are grown but will still ride this one to take their younger cousins on. My nieces and nephews (all under 10 years old) are absolutely mesmerised by the colours and sounds. The tune is quite catchy and will definitely be stuck I. Your head for a bit.

Yelp
This review is strictly based on the perspective of the the kiddos and making sure they are happy and having a great time. So adults I get it, its not Test Track, but just take one for the kids. This is a great ride and attraction to take the little ones to if you need any ride or activity to fill time while waiting for your next fast pass or dining reservation. This is also a good place to go if you want to end the day with something fun and relaxing. The wait time is normally very short to none. The attraction includes a ride and activity center. The ride is very simply but fun with a lot of music, singing, interesting sights, and the best of all using your imagination. At the end of the ride you enter an activity center where the kiddos continue to let their imagination go wild with fun music games, dancing, and creating your own digital character all using your imagination. The little ones don't ask for much except for a place to have fun and be kids; and so far they keep asking to go back to this place. So I recommend taking your kids at least once to give it a try and see how they like it. It really is just about being a kid and using your imagination.

Yelp
I remember Epcot being my favorite place as a kid in the early 90's, with so many cutting-edge educational offerings. At the Wonders of Life pavilion, I was a kid in a candy store. Disney World was a much younger place then. My experience of Epcot at age 30 was disappointing and it's not just my lack of youthly idealism. Many of the best educational offerings were removed, including the Wonders of Life pavilion, and even some of the most popular rides are shockingly dated. Newer attractions seem cheap and plinky compared to what the older ones used to be. I initially found the World Showcase disappointing as there's not a lot of substance behind the elaborate exteriors and shops, but I think it's more fun if you just enjoy the atmosphere and food and consider the World Showcase to be an elaborate shopping mall. After Epcot and Disney in general were built, everything was fine for a while as the park coasted on its newness. Some updates were made, but many rides were kept in place as they didn't seem to need updating, and to serve the nostaliga of repeat visitors. Now that many of its rides are reaching a critical age, dated, and unattractive, it has become clear that Disney has not developed Epcot nearly rapidly enough to maintain its appeal, let alone keep up with the competiton and maintain its promises of being 'the most magical place on earth'. I need magic for this generation, not one or two generations ago, and not cheap attractions that are all TV screens hawking cartoon characters *cough* gran fiesta tour *cough*. Can Disney make the kind of investment needed to keep Epcot relevant for the next generation? Favorites: World showcase restaurants (get restaurant reservations months in advance) World showcase shops and talent shows, especially Japan's Mitsukoshi store Mission Space Club Cool Living with the Land Journey into Imagination with Figment Not worth it: - Spaceship Earth - Soarin - Gran Fiesta Tour - Test track (unless you really like thrill rides)

Yelp
Who rated this ride anything above one star? I can't even imagine. The Mouse should have left this one alone, because the update makes it far more dated than it would have otherwise been. As it is, it's just dirty and run down enough to feel like you're inside a failing small town bowling alley arcade, where the floor is sticky and all the coin slots are jammed. Figment was never the best brand, and trying to roll him in with some b-movie comeian scientists... no. Just no. Skip it! Actually skip the whole park!

Yelp
We strolled right onto this ride thanks to our fast pass. But found that this was a waste of a pass! The audio cut out halfway through the ride so we missed the songs from the "sound" room and after. Lame. I told a cast member, and they didn't offer to let us go back on or anything. In the interactive play area for kids after the ride, half the exhibits were out of order. Terrible.

Yelp
Have always loved visiting Epcot and imagination has always been my favorite. Loved it then, love it now, love it always. Seriously on the off chance that someone reading this has never been..it really is a must visit when there. Bring the kiddies and just enjoy. It's a wonderful time.

Yelp
Journey into Imagination with Figment has a long history at Epcot. However, this current version is somewhat irritating. I love Figment but this ride was not great. If you have young children, they may enjoy it. But, adults will absolutely hate it unless you have a large affection for Figment or this ride. I'd skip it unless there isn't a wait, or you want to get indoors.

Yelp
Figment... poor little purple guy..... the Imagineers really need to think of something new to do with this attraction that still keeps Figment around. It is still a cute little attractions though. You ride through learning all about the senses and imagination and Figment is darn near everywhere you look. I still love the upside down room the best! Even though the attraction is getting old, we still ride it every now and then just because we can. There's really never a wait. Even during the peak season I can't remember the last time we even waited as long as 5 minutes to ride this. If you have little ones, this is a must-do. I can't imagine any child not absolutely loving this! Tip: When you get to the room about "smells" and see canisters with words like cherry, orange, vanilla, jasmine, etc. on them.... get ready to hold your breath for about 30 seconds because they are going to blast you with a skunk smell. It's pretty bad and I always hold my breath. As someone else mentioned, if you are trying to kill time because you're waiting for your Fast Pass+ time to go on Soarin', this is definitely something to do that's entertaining. It's also great because it gets you out of the heat and into the cold A/C for a while. Once you're off the attraction, they have tons of interactive things to keep the kids busy for a while and you're still in the A/C.

Yelp
This might be the most mindful ride at at EPCOT. It's ridiculous, but mindful. Figment the dragon is Disney's version of Slimer (green ghost from Ghostbusters.) The ride stimulates your senses, and senses are connected to memory--so may also be most memorable ride. Hopefully a good memory. You need a good sense of humor for this one.

Yelp
I miss the old Journey into Imagination. This is but a far cry from what it used to be. Gone is the paper pastel carousel, gone is the old Dreamfinder. This is just a pale experience to what lingers in my memory. This made me sad.

Yelp
As this was my first visit to Disney World, I was of course most excited about visiting Epcot. On our first day at the parks, we made this our first stop. Driving up and seeing Spaceship Earth grow larger as we approached was thrilling, I was giddy like a little kid. This park really has so much to offer. There are thrill rides, shows, educational sites and of course food. This is the park for foodies. We enjoyed all the options from around the world and tried to see as much as we could at each of the showcases. Some of my favorite things here are the Japan pavilion, the shops and food in this country were the best, Oh Canada in the Canadian pavilion and Test Track. I can't wait to go back.
