Joy Bao Bao

I recently tried the chicken pancake from Joy Bao Bao, and it was absolutely spot on. This isn’t your typical flat pancake — it’s thick, golden, and crispy on the outside while staying soft and flavour-packed inside. It was packed full of delicious vegetables and tender, well-seasoned chicken, with everything cooked fresh right in front of you. Watching it being prepared added to the whole experience and made it taste even better. The price was fantastic for the portion size and quality, making it great value for money. I had the luxury of trying it during the Lunar New Year celebrations, which made it even more special — the perfect street food to enjoy while soaking up the atmosphere. Definitely one I’d go back for again.

Small shop with delicious variety of fried foods. The chicken filets and fried baby octopus are tasty. They have different seasonings to sprinkle on to whichever item you buy. All the food cooked in sight.

An authentic experience right in the heart of Chinatown. This place delivers on flavor and is a truly great spot for genuine Northern Chinese street food. The bao and dumplings are delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The whole meal is a great experience. Just a small note: the pancake can be a little oily, so take it easy on that one. Minor observation aside, the quality, taste, and overall satisfaction make this a winner. Definitely recommended 👌🏼.

Joy Bao London is simply the best place in the city to eat bao. The flavours are spectacular, the quality is outstanding, and everything is always spotless. On top of that, the prices are really good for what you get. Honestly, it’s one of the best spots in London — I recommend it 100%!

Tried the viral Bao bun from Joy and must say, it definitely lives up to the hype! I got the chicken and pork buns. Both were soft, fluffy, and steaming hot when served. The filling was generous, juicy, and packed with flavour, and the buns themselves were so fresh and felt like eating a cloud. What surprised me most was how cheap they were for the quality and portion size. You honestly get a huge, satisfying bao for just a few pounds, which is rare in central London.

Their oyster pancakes and chicken steamed buns are my favourites. There’s always a line, but it’s worth the wait . The food is so good. Highly recommended.

Dear Team of Joy Bao Bao, we visted you two weeks ago and was very nice. We had a duck and a chicken bao, both were very tasty. The service was okay, but not the most friendly. The prices were okay for the buns, because they were very huge. A recommendation of course. Thank you! 🙃

Street food joint. Had two baos and they were huge, soft and pillowy. Filling to bun ratio was decent. The duck filling is great! The pork one was okay, it was falling apart a little. One bao is sufficient enough for lunch in my opinion. Ended up eating them on the tables nearby since they don’t offer seating and well… it’s London. It was raining. Not ideal. Overall I’d go back. Pricing is great, I think it was £3.5 per bun (Jan 2026).
