Yes Happy Juneteenth! What a way to start the eatery shenanigans by getting some wings on the way to Alabama. Called an order in after searching on Google looking for, "where dem wangs at", not fans! Lol! Ratings were good and that's all I needed for my family of five on the road. Arrived at JR Crickets, online was not received no biggie how about the owner was very accomodating and whipped up my order just the way I ordered online, lemony pepper with fries all flats! Chicken was fresh, hot, seasoned with a chef's kiss good! Definite recommend 💜

I walked into this location and was greeted by the most pleasant person I’ve met in a while (Ashley). Ashley quickly took my order. I’m very very picky about my wings. I gave specific details and was pleasantly surprised because my wings came out exactly how I wanted them. They have nice sized wings and they were cooked to perfection! I asked for the “Billy Dee” sauce on the side. That sauce was DELICIOUS. I could have drank the sauce directly from the cup 😂. The fries were perfectly cooked and great for dipping in the blue cheese. They have a variety of flavors of lemonade. I chose blueberry & was not disappointed. I will definitely be back!!! 10/10

I recently moved to the Briarcliff area and could not wait to try the neighborhood favorite for chicken wings—and it did not disappoint! I brought my mom for lunch, and we absolutely loved our experience. The wings were incredibly flavorful, and the service was outstanding from start to finish. Ashley took amazing care of us. She offered excellent recommendations, greeted us with a warm smile, and truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. The wings were so good that I ended up ordering more to-go later that week. Denny handled my takeout order with the same super friendly, upbeat energy. She took careful the time to review everything with me and made sure I had everything I needed. I would definitely recommend JR Crickets 10/10!

Everything we had was so delicious the server was very friendly,polite and she went out of her way to make sure we was alright the entire time we were there ((GREAT PLACE !!!)) I will most definitely be back!!

Chain store wings and atmosphere. The interior is colorful and lovable. It wasn't crowded and there's a big TV at the bar to watch sports. I stopped by here because my son is always raving about the wings. The server really work to be personable and offer us a great experience. The wings were small with a copious sauce of lemon pepper with mild hot sauce. On my second visit I had the ribs which were very tender and a decent portion. I don't think I'd go out of my way for this but, at the same time, I wouldn't try to sway the crowd if everybody wanted to go here.

I got 5 dirty bird wings (buffalo, bbq, and lemon pepper. The other 5 wings were lemon pepper wet. The fish was catfish. These were some of the best wings I have had anywhere. I will definitely return to try more flavors. This place is expensive. Catfish was huge and worth the price. Be sure to ask for ketchup, hot sauce, and other condiments.

Nice local bar and restaurant. We went for lunch wanting more than a fast food meal. I had their 8 wing lunch special and my wife chicken nuggets and fries. The hot wings were a little small but perfect… probably some of the best I’ve had. The fries came with a seasoning shaker that you could add to your fries. Nice atmosphere and a great place to watch a game. Great specials and service although parking could be an issue at busy times.

We stopped in after a long road trip from Chicago. The staff was incredible- so so kind and helpful. The honey lemon pepper wings have changed my life. I will pretty much do anything to eat these again!

I ordered Wings and Fries. The Wings were not fresh so they possibly dropped them back into the grease to heat and crisp them up, resulting in a overcooked tough wing. The Fries were also not fresh. They possibly dropped them back into the grease to make them seem like they were fresh. But of course, they said I was wrong. They said that the order must have been for extra crispy. "No". I have worked in restaurants for over 15 years. I know exactly what they did. I like this location, plus my last two visits were great. I will give them 1 more chance. Stay tuned.

1st place I had wings at in Atlanta. This flavor was the lemon pepper. The wings were really small in my opinion. The flavor was really good. Just did not seem like enough meat that's all. I would go back and try another flavor.

I almost didn't try this place out because the ratings were so bad, but I decided to give them a chance. Overall, they did pretty good. The wings were very tasty. Service was courteous and quick. The ambience was a lot more chill than I expected, and I was thankful for it. The lowest marks I'll give is that the fries were meh. The price wasn't great, but honestly not out of line these days.

I literally waited 1 hour and 3 minutes for 20 wings with only 2 other people waiting on their small orders of food ahead of me & 5 people in the kitchen.

The wings and fries were really good. We got dirty bird, lemony pepper, and southern bbq and it did not disappoint. The shrimp was cooked to perfection. We would have rated it 5 stars if it wasn't for the service. We waited over 45 minutes for our food. Very frustrating.

My friends and I decided to dine at this location following a less-than-pleasant experience at Dugan's (located across the street from JR Crickets). Our waitress was friendly and accommodating. Our orders arrived promptly, and the chicken wings and fries were fresh and delicious. The restaurant had a great selection of music playing, adding to the overall enjoyable atmosphere.

Apparently they have corrected previous problems. We had the buffalo chicken salad and Philly. Both were really good and my girlfriend loved their homemade bleu cheese dressing. Service speed was about what you'd expect

There's nothing horribly wrong with this establishment, but it's not perfect either so that's why I only gave it 3 stars. The chairs are slightly tattered, and it can make the place look untidy. The atmosphere is noisy. Football is usually playing on TV screens alongside loud music. As for the food, it can really be a hit or a miss. The reason why I say this is because the wings are either perfectly seasoned, or over-seasoned and extremely salty to the point where you are chugging water. The fries can also come out either crispy on the outside and soft in the inside, or overcooked and too dry. Despite the cons, I really enjoy the wings here and they taste great when cooked well. My favorite flavors are the dirty bird (sweet & saucy) and lemony pepper (well seasoned with hints of lemon). The mild buffalo is good when you are craving regular buffalo wings. I've also tried Billy Dee's, which is a sweet Thai chili speciality sauce named after the founder.

I like this place but the prices for the wings may drive them out. 10 pc. Wing and fries will hit you for about $20. That's a once in a month price. Bring it down a bit and make your customers come more often.

Well, you know when someone hypes something up and then you have these really high expectations?...that's what happened here. I had heard not only from my boyfriend but also two other people that this place was the bomb place to get wings. Well...not so much. I got the Dirty Bird (buffalo BBQ and lemon pepper) and the Sanchez (teriyaki and lemon pepper). I also tried my boyfriend's lemon pepper. I really thought they were a bit dry, too salty, and the sweet potato fries were just okay. The one thing that did stand out was the ranch dressing. Now that was good! I could probably drink it. But everything else was just kinda meh to me. I feel bad, because this is like his favorite wing place, and my friend and her boyfriend also really like it, but I just didn't dig it. I mean, it wasn't bad, but I've tasted better, way better. By the way, this particular location is very low key. It's small inside, and much more quiet as compared to the other places per my friends. You can dress very casual here. I liked the waitress, just not too crazy about the food.

I came to vacation close to here for about two or three days, and let me say I wish I'd have come here sooner. I didn't know what to expect but holy moly - the wingz in this place are to DIE FOR. Get you some of the dry lemon pepper wings, and you may actually grow some wings after that first bite. They're crisped to perfection in a way no one else does, the seasoning is thorough all the way around, and every bite is heavenly. You don't even really care about the fries, lol just wings. The atmosphere is small, quaint, and so inviting. It isn't over loud nor does it have that crazy hustle and bustle a lot of places do, which just adds to everything better. Ashley was the server whom I dealt with today, and she couldn't have been more friendly or enjoyable to speak with. It almost felt as though we had been friends for years. I don't know the cooks name but I wish I would have found out. If you want a fun, enjoyable, great afternoon or evening - go here. 10/10 would, will, and do recommend! Fellas, trust me. Just try it. I love you guys! I'll be back for sure the next time I am in town!!!!!

I'll keep it real and say JR Crickets was kinda a let down. I was told by many sources that they had the best wings in Atlanta so my hopes were very high. I got the lemon pepper wet wings and classic hot wings. First off I will say the lemon pepper wet sauce was amazing. Definitely the highlight of the meal. The wings themselves were the underwhelming part. They were pretty tiny and not fresh at all. They were dry and tasted like they had been sitting out for a long time. When I bit into some of the wings I noticed a slightly fishy smell coming from the bone. They smelled like they were old and just about to go bad. Luckily I didn't get food poisoning or anything, but I've read a handful of reviews from people who have. My recommendation for anyone going here would be to request you get fresh wings. If they come out dry, shriveled, and fishy you should send them back.

Don't come to this location. Service was horrible from the start. When I walked in the employees were sitting as if they were dining in themselves, soda was flat as hell, got my food and they NEVER came to assist me, ask if I was okay, nothing. Sat in the lobby for an entire 30 minutes or more waiting on someone to bring me my check so I walked over with my food to the register to be checked out. So unprofessional. Then, to top it off they have an added 18% gratuity. Atlanta establishments need to do better. I'll gladly drive to the midtown location next time.

I always feel like I'm at my cousin house when I come here . Its very homey lol . The food is good and fresh . The drinks are strong . It's always nice having a JR Crickets near home .

I own a restaurant and this the worst place to eat at. the wings was disgusting and hard I waited 35 min for a 10pc and I was the only person inside. They have a elder dude cooking which he the only cook it is I'll never be back.

I had the hot lemon pepper wings, fries & 1 catfish filet. It was outstanding! 10/10 highly recommend.

First time visiting JR. Crickets and I literally live down the street from one in Midtown. Was in the area of Briarcliff, so decided to come to visit. Well JR. Crickets is a cute place to visit. It's a franchise so I'm assuming the lady we met was the owner or manager. I got the wings and shrimp. Wing flavor 1/2 ranch, 1/2 lemony pepper (cute spin on lemon pepper). My shrimp were grilled and they also have me more shrimp than stated on the menu, which is PLUS!!!! Well, the food was amaze-balls! I didn't even finish it because it was so good and the portion size was well worth it. I also have a strawberry mango margarita, which is $5 on Mondays. GREAT DRINKS thanks to cashier. I will definitely be back! This place lives up to its reputation of being the original wing place of Atlanta.

I placed an order for 50 wings. On the website, it indicated it would be around $50. The young lady that was assisting me was very friendly however the total amount was $70. The young lady stated that I could have a side of fries. I stated that I only wanted the wings. She informed me that the price would be the same. On the receipt, I was shocked that I was charged gratuity for a take-out order. I was informed that is just what they do. The customer service, wings, and the fries were very good. I would recommend this spot if you were sitting in to watch a game.

Fantastic wings, cooked perfectly, for my money, they're just as good as the OG JR Crickets. Ordered takeout and the wings were still hot when I got back to the house.

Don't ever come here!!! They make you pay a 12% gratuity for all orders ... Togo and sit down and on top of that add taxes and have the audacity to ask for a tip... pay attention to your bill !!!!!

JR Crickets is an ATL staple for wings with several locations. I used this location for a work Holiday party and was very pleased with the customer service from the girl at the front, and even the cook came out to make sure everything was alright. The trick to ordering wings anywhere in ATL is to be very specific (hot, wet, crispy, etc.) is the language you are looking for but overall JR Crickets knows what they are doing. Im from ATL if that makes that's any consolation. The girl who placed my order even gave me extra dipping sauces for no charge. It's amazing what kind of service you get for being specific and kind.

DRY WINGS ALEEERTTT LMFAO. If you like wet crunchy lemon pepper wings try MAMA WINGS. Not far from here. They are also rude as hell. Mama wings is where it's at. J.R fries need to be cooked better too!!!

Ordered deliver via UberEATS today and it was horrible. I ordered a hot dog and paid extra for onion rings because I already knew I didn't like their dry French fries. The hot dog was shriveled and the bun was dried out. Onion rings were rock hard. The whole box went in to the trash. All of it was inedible. I hate giving bad reviews but my roommate and I just ordered for the first time and the only good thing we can say is that we got a ton of fries. With that, though, it was $40 for two of us to get meals and tax and tip. She got the fish platter and I got the clam strips. The quality of the of the food is less than par and everything tastes like it was made in week old oil. I'm normally one that gives second chances but there's no way I'm spending that kind of money again on food like that. If you're going to order there I would highly recommend getting something else cause what we got was not good at all.

The cashier was very rude. The hours indicate the place opens at 11:00 am but when I got there at 11:10 am the place was still closed I called the number and whoever as answered the phone said they will open at 11:30. Got there at 11:49 and the was still closed. The cashier finally opened only to tell me they open at noon. We order lemon pepper wet and got very little of the sauce. Was more like a rub. Had to ask for wet and cashier stated thanks how the lemon pepper wet is prepared.

The food was subpar, at best! Their only saving grace is the fries. I don't understand the hype. The staff was unprofessional, very unorganized. I had to ask for my food 3 times, I was getting ready to ask for a refund. I wouldn't recommended this place!

Literally disgusting! I ordered this good not only did they leave out one of my pieces of fish. They forget all of the condiments and it was like tasting a box of salt. I will never get any food from here again. Trust me avoid this place. I want a refund! $25 for trash quality food!

I don't care what these reviews say, these lemon pepper wings are undeniable. #facts My second time here and the front waitress is always kind, it's kind of a comfortable environment and my food looks good and taste good. Don't know about the delivery process but when I come in, I'm good.

I ordered a grilled chicken salad with shrimp. They gave me 4 shrimp! I've ordered this salad a few times and have received a whole order inside my salad along with the chicken. Today y'all give it to me as scraps in a box! Can't be serious

FOOD POISONING!!! Everyone had dinner here and in the morning everyone was SICK throwing up !!! Chicken was prob OLD! Should've known when no one else was in there !! Still haven't fully recovered 24 hours later ! Still sick and living off popsicles ! WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!! There are much better locations !

i called in my order for a 10 piece chicken Wings.,The order definitely was not worth $21.00. My order included fries and 10 extremely tiny wings and the lemon pepper flavor was also dry. The customer should definitely be inform the wings are tiny and give them the option of ordering or not. instead of covering them up under wax paper. Disappointing to say the least.

My wife and I found this place on an "ATL Bucket List" feature and were curious, as I had heard of it but happened to be in this area. We had chili cheese fries and wings (double order with two sauces, 50 cents extra charge--buffalo mild and Sweet Southern BBQ). As for sides you pick celery or fries; we chose celery, and we got TONS of celery, which is fine, but it would be nice if you could have fries and a couple pieces of celery as a side. The fries were really excellent for us--they match our taste and expectations for fries (very cheesy!). The wings were not bad, but they were a little on the tough side. The mild sauce tasted quite good, though. The servers who helped us were very attentive and super warm and friendly, which was definitely the best part and the reason we will be back. The servers were all smiley and asked us if we needed anything several times. The place is casual, as you simply walk in and sit where you like, and a server comes to you and takes your order. There are TV screens everywhere so you will always get a good view of the TV.

This is what pisses me off with black businesses. 1. They only had 1 waitress. She was great but it was clear she needed some assistance. 2. the wings were totally too HARD. It was more crunch than meat. 3. When we complained about the wings we were greeted with terrible attitudes and still got charged with the full order. The actual owner of this location was rude as well! Ive tried them numerous times to hope for a better outcome and it never came. Over this franchise and ESPECIALLY this location!

The girl in the front is rude, she is from the islands! Her attitude was and is horrible. The food was overcooked. I asked for crispy wings. They were dry and unable to eat. I would rather go to another location every time before I go here ever again. DO BETTER!!!!

This was the best wing I have ever had. I've had quite a few wings in my day and when the flavor of the lemon pepper wing hit my taste buds I near shat my pants with the amount of flavor that fill my body. I did not receive the poops after these wings either

This location just opened and my co-workers and I was excited to go. When we got there the waitress was nice but she got my wings flavor wrong. To prevent it being sent back I just ate it. They will recommend things to you but neglect to tell you it's an extra charge until you get your bill. If you get two flavors it's $.59. Ranch dressing...$.70 Etc. Not to mention the prices are high. We won't be back. (see receipt I posted)

Went here for lunch with a colleague. The server was pleasant. The standard burger was cooked-to-order and was two patties. Was better than what I had expected. Overall, not a bad choice lunch choice.

I thought the moms on Nextdoor were just being Karens when they said the cooks at JR Crickets don't wear masks. So, I placed an order for pickup and sure enough, I was nervous as hell to see the cook not using a mask. I told my kids we can't have our favorite restaurant anymore. We're all sad about it.

Today I ordered the buffalo shrimp meal which comes with fries. The order in tidal was about $16 which was fine until I received my order. I did not have any fries and I was only given 5 shrimps. On top of that the shrimps were very stale

I LOVE JR CRICKETS AND DECIDED TO TRY A NEW LOCATION . Let me tell you , save yourself a trip and don't come to this location . Seemed like the waitress took our order and forgot about us . The part that pissed me off the most was the gratuity was already included on my bill . DONT COME TO THIS LOCATION. Besides , they don't have regular JR CRICKET MENUS . They didn't even have a kids menu . The waiter messed up my order so many times and had a attitude when i told her it was wrong . THE PLACE HAD ABOUT 5 other people inside and still managed to take over a hour with our food . The waiter Sylvia needs to fix her attitude or find a new job. This whole location is a damn scam

The wings taste good, but these are without a doubt the smallest wings I've ever had. I've ordered 3 times over the past few months, and the wings are small every time. Not really worth the price, in my opinion. They might need a new food distributor...

Unacceptable!!! I called in a order was told that it would be ready in 10 minutes. I didn't get there until 20 minutes later. Which means they had an additional 10 minutes, and guess what? It still wasn't ready. The place is very cramped. It's a about the size of my living and dining room in my apt. I got a 20 pcs combo. The wings were very small. The lemon pepper tasted like it had sugar on it? Tf the three mile island tasted like plain chicken tossed in crystal hot sauce...umm no ma'am. Fries were disgusting they were definitely cooked in old grease. On top of that the amount given were sparse for 20 wings. With all that being said I'm going to pass on this location. This was my first and last visit.

Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon a couple of weeks ago. No host stand for greeting or chalkboard to instruct patrons to seat themselves. Place was fairly empty: one small group in a booth, one guy at the bar nursing a beer, and one guy getting a to-go order. Went to the bar. Waited about 5 minutes to get a greeting from surly server. She was spending a lot of time going to the back. She finally greeted me, but didn't ask whether I was ready to order. She admonished the group at the booth for ordering the wrong way (?). I Ieft when she went to the back yet again, because 10 minutes of waiting before getting a chance to place an order at a restaurant with close to no patrons was a little ridiculous. I'll stick to the original location on North Avenue.

The food is bomb, you will be waiting a little while for it to come out though. It's always crowded. I love the chicken and fried shrimp combo.
