The Best J.R. Crickets Atlanta Locations Ranked In Order

"Sitting next to a club in the far corner of a Wayfield’s parking lot, the J.R. Crickets in Riverdale welcomes you in the late evenings with a loving embrace via a leisurely security pat-down and the aroma of hookah. This location hosts several weekly events like paint and sips and karaoke-turned-DJ’d hiphop sets played at club-level volume. Even if it’s for a room of two whole guests, the security/doorman/hypeman will grab the mic and perform DJ Drama-style ad-libs over the music. With their signature wings and the tasty buffalo shrimp on the table, Jagged Edge’s “Where the Party At” is no less appealing in a thin crowd, but then eliciting that crowd to engage in the call-and-response part might veer into embarrassing. Horrible Experience – Would Not Recommend I recently ordered food from JR Crickets, and unfortunately, the experience was terrible from start to finish. Due to my long work hours, I had a friend pick up the food for us. She mentioned that the customer service was not so great, but we still gave the restaurant a chance because we were hungry. I wanted ribs, but the cashier/server stated they had just gotten done and needed to cool before serving, so we ordered wings, fries, etc. After ordering, we noticed a $6 automatic gratuity charge added to the order. When we asked about it, the owner explained that the fee was implemented during the pandemic to ensure servers received proper tips, and there was a sign posted about it. While we weren’t completely comfortable with that, we decided to go ahead with our order. The biggest issue came when I received the food. We had ordered a side of coleslaw, but when I tasted it, it had a horrible sour smell and taste and the temperature was off. As soon as I took a bite, the taste made me cringe as well along with noticing a gnat on the container. Some of the fries were undercooked, the tenders were soft, and slightly bland. I immediately called the restaurant, and the server was unapologetic. She kept placing me on hold several times without resolving the issue. She offered to replace the coleslaw or give fries, which I didn’t want, and eventually told me they wouldn’t issue a refund. The lack of care and the quality of the food were unacceptable. I later checked reviews online and saw similar complaints from other customers regarding the automatic gratuity, poor food quality. I wanted to support this business, but after this experience, I will not return and urge others to think twice before visiting. This is not how you treat paying customers.

Came in a little after 1am. Order 10 wings, 5 shrimp and a teremana lemon drop .. $45.98.. over charging and over priced.. that’s why the place doesn’t get business .. serve your customers not your pockets.

Food is horrible chicken half cooked over salted fries taste like cardboard and under cooked. Drinks over priced with 2 extra charges on top of the overpriced menu. Gratuity on to go. Owner is rude and daughter who is the bartender just as bad. They feel like you should take care of them for come to there franchised bar. Son is on drugs or a drunk pulls out guns on patroons. Don’t waste your money. I’ll never do it again. Trash!!!!!

It was a great meet up space for our group. The problem was not enough staff to accommodate the volume of people in their space. We ordered food and it took 2 1/2 hours for it to reach out table. I literally walked out JR Crickets and went to the Chinese Restaurant two doors down. I ordered Lemon Pepper Wings and Fries there, ate the food there, walked back to JR Crickets and a number of my friends had still not been served. The only thing I had JR Crickets was a cup of water. The Riverdale location needs to be revamped Poste Haste. Since I did not eat the food, I can't rate the food! To their credit some people did get food and seemed to enjoy it and others got the wrong food orders.

As soon as I opened the door, the young lady behind the bar yelled “We aren’t taking anymore orders!” It was 11:20 and their advertising says they close at 12. I had just witnessed 2 men walk into the establishment before me and sit at the bar. It is disappointing that small businesses are so quick to turn paying customers away when the business runs due to customers!!! I will NEVER attempt to come back. It’s not always what you say but, how you say it…. Train your staff to be polite and inviting, even if the kitchen is closed.

Ordered two ten piece wings , my mild plate had a lot of feathers on the wings, I honestly only ate the fries. My lemon pepper wet plate was not wet at all very much so dry. Wings were also kind of soft

I will never 👎🏾 $13.99 for a 10p wing & Fry and salad $7.99. Wings nasty not cooked all the way and the salad 🥗 is so small for 8 bucks only has lettuce, croutons, mushrooms 🤢 and cheese. Everything was wet and nasty salad had no dressing and this is not a Caesar salad. People told me not to go but I had to cause you never think things are as bad as people say. This time I should have listened. No mama this is not it.
