If I could give J.R. Pizza Bella more than 5 stars, I absolutely would! This spot in Coral Springs is such a gem. At first glance, the mix of Italian and Puerto Rican food on the menu might seem unusual, but once you taste it, you’ll see how beautifully both cultures shine without blending into “fusion.” Each cuisine is authentic and stands proudly on its own.
We started with the alcapurrias and empanadas, and I have to say — they transported me straight to Piñones. Perfectly seasoned, crisp on the outside, and packed with flavor inside. Then came the Italian side of the menu — pizza and lasagna. We stuck to the basics to see how authentic the flavors were. The lasagna was rich, layered beautifully, and covered in that extra stringy cheese that makes every bite comfort on a fork. The pizza was equally incredible — fresh ingredients, balanced sauce, and just the right amount of cheese and crunch. And don’t even get me started on the garlic rolls. You can actually taste the real olive oil, which gives them such an authentic, elevated flavor.
The atmosphere is another highlight. Walking in, it feels cozy and welcoming, almost like stepping into a hidden neighborhood spot where everyone’s a friend. The restaurant was spotless, and our food came out quicker than expected without ever feeling rushed. Our server was warm, attentive, and knowledgeable — offering great recommendations that really helped us enjoy the best of both menus.
Overall, J.R. Pizza Bella delivers big on flavor, comfort, and hospitality. Whether you’re in the mood for Puerto Rican classics or hearty Italian favorites, this is the place to be. I can’t wait to come back!
