J's Breakfast Club

We visited J’s on our way out of town after a vacation! We had our pup with us and they accommodated her by opening their patio! They were SO FRIENDLY. Eating there felt like we were apart of their family! The food was extremely fresh and so good! We got the breakfast plates and the smothered potatoes were hands down the best breakfast potatoes we had ever had! None of us have ever had anything like them! We even got a breakfast bowl for our pup and they put it in a to-go box for her to make it easy! Wish we lived in the area because we would go to J’s every time we want breakfast! Definitely a place I’d kill to be a regular at!

This was a really cool place to have breakfast! It's refreshing to see a new building and business open in Gary. If you are in the area I would recommend stopping by.

I was sitting at a truckwash, waiting on a load, and decided to go to this place. So far, the food is excellent. Nice little hole in the wall spot in Gary indiana near chicago. It is a black own business. So please support them. Thank you

We stumbled upon this place on our way back to Chicago. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm and heartfelt smiles. I ordered the biscuits and gravy, and it was amazing! The best gravy I can remember! My wife got the grits with garlic shrimp, and it was equally delicious. Everyone working there was so gracious and attentive. We couldn't have picked a better stop! We will definitely stop in again.

My Best friend and I dined in for breakfast on a Monday morning. I had chicken wings and waffle. The chicken was seasoned to perfection, juicy and crunchy, the waffle was light and fluffy. EVERYTHING was chef's kiss💋! Sydney waited our table and he was very personable, professional and courteous with Great energy. I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. P.S. I also noticed they have a lot of other options like turkey burgers and lamb chops, I can't wait until my next visit. Thanks again Sydney, your MICHIGAN CONNECTION!😁

BLAND fried chicken and catfish. It was over $12 for one piece of bland catfish and burned unseasoned fries. I don’t recommend but if you wind up here bring your seasoning. There’s no soul in this soul food restaurant.

I dined at the new location on Broadway off 94. The service was great, fast, and friendly! The menu is small and simple, but includes all the favorites. My food came out quick and was hot!! I also loved the decor and setup of the new building, lots of light. Will definitely be coming back here!

Stopped in here this morning for my birthday. My friend and coworker made the suggestion. It was kinda a distance from where we stay but this place was so highly recommended that we decided to take the drive I’m glad we did the food, service and ambiance was amazing. Thanks for having us..
