First off, I never knew this place existed. So glad I found it! The pizza here is AMAZING!!! The gentlemen that were there are super friendly and helpful. They've absolutely gained a new customer! Take out only. Place your order ahead of time. Be On time to get your food for lack of parking.

The pizza here is great. For fans of South shore bar pizza, you will not be disappointed. Good crust, good cheese and topings, and excellent lacing. It's a cash only place and only does takeout out of the garage so make sure that you call ahead, bring cash, and show up right on time. You can park in the driveway but if it's busy you can also park on the side street right next to it.

Great underrated bar pie. Owner is a nice guy. I was skeptical about ordering food from someone’s house but it’s good. Friday and Saturday call ahead before 5pm. Great local business

Tonight was my first time trying J's and let me tell you it will ABSOLUTELY not be the last. I have grown up in the cape cod/ southern MA area my whole life and I felt like I had tried most of the good bar style pizza places and somehow this one slipped through the cracks. We ordered 7 pizzas for a large group and everything came out PERFECTLY cooked. It didn't matter if the pizza had a bunch of toppings (gold fever chicken, pineapple, and bacon) or simply cheese, the crust was crispy, buttery and delicious, the cheese was perfectly browned and all of the ingredients were clearly high quality. We were nervous that all of the toppings on some may make it difficult to eat but each piece held its own and the ratios of everything were spot on! Not only was everything delicious but the prices are reasonable, the service was immaculate and everything about J's Flying Pizza has me wanting to come back for more. I hope if you are on the edge about trying this place you give it a chance. You will wish you tried it sooner! The pizzas pictured are a Pepperoni, Extra Cheese and Gold Fever with Pineapple and Bacon.

There's something to be said for good home cooking. This guy makes pizza in his garage. And it is among the best I have ever had. How much more American can you get? I finally made the trip to see it for myself today. Im glad I did, and you will be too

Best gold fever chicken pizza ever ask for extra gold fever sauce on top ! Cheese pizza is really good ! Both versions of breadsticks are amazing as always definitely go here !

I love the idea of garage pizza! Makes it feel so special- undercover. We ordered and the pizza was ready within 20 mins as son as they opened on a Sunday. I was super intrigued by the idea of what did this operation look like? It's a full fledged kitchen in this guy's garage. I am even more intrigued after leaving the establishment about the guy who makes the pizza. He had a Barstoll magnet on the fridge so I tried to engage in conversation. He seemed annoyed, I wan ted to know if Portnoy had been there. He said some guy came in while he was cutting the grass and he didn't know who he was. I quit while I was ahead. I saw he wanted no conversation. Bummer because a garage pizza establishment for me would include a good garage transaction! That's why they are at 4 stars. Pizza is delicious! Cooked how we ordered (well done) and it all works well together. Right amount of sauce and cheese. Tasted amazing but I have to say this is not my top bar pizza place, it snuck into number 2.

The first thing you will notice is that you are driving in a neighborhood with no businesses. You will arrive at the address and realize that it would appear that you have parked in someone's driveway. No, you have stumbled upon one the best pizza places around. J's Flying is a must go to! You get some of the best bar pizza around and you need to figure out where to eat it. Don't know what a bar pizza is? Then go J's Flying and be amazed. Please note, you may get a busy signal a few times. DO NOT let that stop you from phenomenal pizza! Be persistent. Whatever you order will be out of this world. My recommendation, whatever you get add another cheese pizza for your ride home but just don't mention it to the family!

I've been dying to try J's since I got my South Shore Bar Pizza membership card, which is second only to my Clean Plate Club medal. I'd also heard reviews of a " soup-Nazi" like atmosphere in the garage-kitchen, but I only experienced friendly greetings and service. It took several tries to dial in to order and they were running an hour to prepare. They'd even run out of salads! That's saying something! I arrived at my appointed time and pies were just getting boxed up. It's cash only, so come prepared. We had the Greek (feta, tomatoes, olives) and Bacon Cheeseburger. No skimping on toppings--look at the olives! I loved the sauce and the laced edges and perfectly crisp bottom. Will return for the bean special and classic pepperoni.

J's Flying Pizza is an iconic South Shore Bar Pizza spot located in a garage attached to a home in Bridgewater. The family run business is a legend in the bar pizza space and you won't be disappointed when ordering from J's. Given it is a small spot, at times getting through to order can be a challenge but keep calling back to place your order; it's worth it every time. A plain cheese pizza certainly does the trick but get adventurous and go for one of the specialty pizzas like the Sweet & Sour Chicken or perhaps a pepperoni and green pepper. There's a nice assortment to choose from and if you're in the mood for bar pizza (I mean, who isn't?) then J's Flying Pizza is definitely one to check out. The restaurant is cash only which is a bit of an inconvenience; just don't forget to hit up the ATM before making your way to pick up the order. All in all, one of the best bar pizza spots on the South Shore. Check it out!

Very tasty and fresh bar pizza! My bf's mom lives nearby and we were looking to try some new pizza. It can be easy to miss driving by but it's truly a garage next to a residence. It's very professional inside and they were prompt and friendly. I would definitely pick up from there again.

Wow. I've heard about this place for years and was in the area and made it happen. Got half cheese and half linguica/shrooms/green pepper. Flavor is a 10/10. Crust is perfection as is (made no special requests) and the undercarriage is exactly how you'd want. Supportive, just a little crispy, buttery and delicious. Toppings are top notch. The linguica here is crumbles and it's amazing...don't miss it. From sauce to cheese (also superior to other places) to cooking...everything just nailed 100%. Got a fresh little Greek salad to boot (tightly packed iceberg, black olives, grape tomatoes, cukes, and quality banana peppers). Also the guys working inside are super friendly.

Opened at 3:00, ordered at 3:00. 7 pizzas. Ready in 35 minutes. Obvious the ovens were up to temp. Pizzas were perfect without having to say well done, or laced, or burnt edges. They were just great. Won't try and compare them to any other bar pizza. Everyone has their favorite. All I can say is every time they have been just as good and couldn't hope for anything better.

You have to try it. One of the best bar pies in the area! It's a small operation so I would plan ahead and expect a bit of a wait if ordered on the weekends.

Absolutely phenomenal pizza. I've had just about all the SSBP from Lynwood to town spa to CCC and in my opinion this is the best it gets. All flavors meld perfectly and the cheese to sauce ratio is on point. Great lacing too, what more can I say!

Bar style pizza has had an explosion over the last few years. For good reason...it's the best kind of pizza there is! 10" pizzas with a nice burnt/laced edge...Js delivers on this every time. To me J's is the gold standard of pizza. Only thing I could wish for is to live closer so I could have it more often! Great job Js Flying pizza!

This is the best bar pizza I've ever had in my life. Period. The crust... perfectly biscuity, not too thin, airy, yet has absolutely zero flop (in a good way!). The sauce is tangy and flavorful, just the way I like it. The cheese has a bite to it as well that a lot of other places don't have. Their standard cook is well done with burnt/laced edges, just the way I like it it. All in all, you can bet I'll be making the 3 hour round trip down from New Hampshire again in the future.... probably even the near future. It was even still amazing cold the next day!!!!

cheese pizza. nicely laced (best part of the pie). cheese was plentiful. Sauce was nicely balanced, not sweet, not heavily spiced. Good pizza, but not my top go to.

My fave spot for sure! I prefer over a bunch of other bar style places. Not to say I don't enjoy others a lot but I'd give J's a 5 all day. Something to remember/keep in mind is that it's cash only and I'd call in your order a minimum of 30 minutes before getting there. They get super busy, rightfully so .

Best bar Pizza eva!!!! Better than Cape Cod Cafe! Wife and I moved away from Brockton and was craving good ol fashion bar Pizza, Settled in Bridgewater and a guy in our complex told us about Jays. Tried Cape Cod in Raynam and it was not that good (they changed the crust) Gave Jay's a try and was blown away, Prices are fair as well! As long as he keeps his prices fair he will make allot of money from my wife and I.

Excellent bar style pizza. Up there with the likes of Lynwood, Town Spa and Hoey's. Worth checking out!

Solid! Very consistent. You always get what you expect. Very reasonably priced. It gets busy and cash only, so plan ahead. Always satisfies my craving.

I gave it a 5 but should only give it a 4 because lately the pizza has come overcooked and it takes so long to get through, I just called 81 times. lol but I do love their pizza so I will make the 81 calls, and even though the last few times overcooked I never give up hope that maybe just a freak thing. . I have been eating their pizza for the last 42 years since we moved to Bridgewater. They knew my address as we always had large orders every Friday or Saturday night. Great crew so nice. Hope they stick around and someone else in the family will keep it running and keep the same standards as the guy (forgive me I forgot his name right now) does now. OR may he never grow old!!! :-)

J's is the best bar pizza around. Buffalo chicken and hamburger/baked bean/bacon are my 2 favorites ( yeah i'm a health nut). Have never been disappointed with any of the pizza here. Owner and staff are always friendly. Great location just off of Bridgewater center. Remember cash only and call early as they get busy around dinner time.

Holy crap. I have to say. Best bar pizza I've ever had. Like. Where has it been all my life? I ordered my pizzas crispy - one was a plain cheese and one lingueca and onion. The sauce was tangy and sweet all at the same time. Pizza cooked perfectly and not soggy. I wish I lived closer because I'd be here way more often. Amazing pizzas.

Flying J's is a GREAT pizza place right in Bridgewater. The pizza is GREAT. The service there is great. And the turnaround time after placing an order is quick. Good job guys- keep it going!

Great place to get South Coast Bar pizza style pies! Not an eating or drinking establishment. Almost drove by twice due to being in the middle of a residential area, good thing for GPS! The pies made it home to Wareham still hot enough to eat, great flavor, lacing, cheese and crust. The crust held strong for each slice and if you have never been here you are missing out!

Okay. I'll admit I was hesitant to get pizza from someone's refurbished garage but this place is legit! From the outside it looks like a house and if not for the unassuming sign on the side of the road I would have driven past it. After parking in the enlarged driveway I walked up to the side of the garage and saw a kitchen that you would see in any pizzeria. The two gentlemen preparing the pizzas were extremely nice and invited me in. The kitchen seemed immaculate. Bright lights, clean floor and walls, and counters near except for rolls of dough waiting to become pizzas. I brought the pies home and my kids, hesitant at first because the olives were not slices but whole, loved it. As did I. I'm definitely going back.

You always hear Cape Cod for bar pizza. I no longer say that. Hubby grew up eating here and once he introduced us, this is where we get our cheese bar pizza. Hands down.

Whoever answers the phone here is extremely rude. Zero customer service skills whatsoever. Placed an order and the guy who answered the phone acted like I was a burden to him. Went to go pick up pizzas and 2 out of 4 of our pizzas were very burnt. They remade them but it's really the way they talk to their customers that does it for me. Will not be going back, and wouldn't recommend anyone to go here until they learn how to treat customers.

The rudest people in the pizza business. I have dealt with pizza places all my life but this place takes the cake. It was just incredible how rude the person was who answered the phone was. I would tell everyone to take your pizza shopping place else. Bad

I LOVE THIS PLACE! I precursor by saying I grew up down the street so this was our go to Friday night walk four houses & get a pizza pizza. Still, to this day, living in CALIFORNIA, having been all over, Jay's never disappoints. We have Florida cousins who STILL stop in when visiting MA after having had it at our house. Lots of converts in the family NOT South Shore folks. Yes it is salty, yes the mushrooms are canned (I far prefer them to RAW which have zero flavor) & yes you don't always get smooth customer service but otherwise you... GET YOUR FIX! I kinda laugh at the Agoura Hills California customer saying weird it comes in one size. He doesn't get bar pizza in the South Shore. I live in Los Angeles now & have for 25 years but STILL need my Jay's fix. Thing is last time I was in the area I had to do Cape Cod Cafe bc Jay's wasn't opening til evening & while I enjoyed my bar pizza itch it was NOT the same. Jay's is the best. I'm a mushroom and green pepper devotee for life!

Terrible delivery times. Poor customer care if a mistake is made on their end like no salad. Okay so I pay and tip anyway with a promise of be right back with the salad. If you want to order at 4:30 and wait until about 7:30 to eat only because they forgot your salad which they'll "bring right back" this is your place. Definitely not worth it!! If you're not hungry but want to pay top dollar maybe this is your place!! I would not recommend to my worst enemy!! A shame, long time 22+ year customer but I have been treated like crap long enough! I will do my best to make sure no one I knows ever goes there again. Customer service SUCKS!!

really like this bar pizza. It's comparable to the Cape Cod cafe. Only missing the Greek salad. Usually this is our go to pizza when we take out

I've been eating pizza from Jay's since as long as I can remember. I have lived in several states and have sampled different styles across the spectrum of pies! Call me biased because I grew up on it but, there is nothing else like it. This is no frills south shore bar room pizza. Buttery crispy crust, salty red sauce and a half burned cheese blend dusted with commercial oregano. These amazing pies are produced from scratch (dough, sauce, cheese blend) in J's garage which has been transformed into a commercial kitchen. Two ovens sit in the corner that have been there since he opened in 1975. The pizzas come out of the oven with a nice blackened burnt cheese crust around the edges. Don't come here looking for good manners from the Owner or gourmet style pizza. That's right you read it here first the mushrooms come out of a can. This isn't Upper crust. This is old school legit pizza. Come here looking for the best bar room style pizza in all of Massachusetts.

I've had bar pizzas, all over the south shore and as many of the famous restaurants hold history - so does Jay's but their pizza really is the absolute BEST. I can't really pin point their "secret" to their recipe but I can tell you, there is something so special about it. No matter how you order it, any combo of toppings or just cheese alone - you won't be dissapointed.

J's is the real deal. It's literally a guys house with a pizza shop in the garage lol. So delicious and similar to Poopsies and Lynwood. I'm so pumped it's 10 mins from my house.

You wanna talk about a hidden gem this is it one of the best places for a south shore style pizza thin crispy bar room pizza taste and made the same way as it did 20 years ago a must try if you can find it

GREAT bar pizza. Thin, crispy crust. Only thing that keeps this from getting 5 stars is the toppings. Stick with the basics (pepperoni, sausage, plain, etc.) Vegetables are not fresh (onions and peppers are the little frozen perfect squares, garlic came from a jar and was overpowering). I'm a pepperoni guy at heart, so I'll keep going back for the incredible pepperoni pizzas, but be careful if you try to step outside the box.

Take out only bar pizza style. This pizza taste so good and one of the best places around the area for bar style pizzas. I been here twice the first time it tasted so good and the semiconductor time it was incredibly salty. The Greek style pizza was way too salty to eat and the cheese pizza was salty but able to eat it. I'm hoping this was just a fluke because it was so good the first time
