J's Hibachi

I love this place. It’s very convenient, especially for late night hibachi. The gentleman who took my order over the phone and serviced me at the food truck was very friendly. My order was on time and correct.

Called and placed an order at 9:08pm. Initially wanted a Ny Strip trio but they just ran out of Ny strip and only had filet. Wanted to know the price difference, asked the lady taking the order and her response was “I don’t know, I’m not actually at the truck I just take the orders.” Got a 25 min ready time. Didn’t make it to pick up my order until 9:46 pm(more than 25 mins) AND THEY HAD NOT EVEN RECEIVED MY ORDER AT THE TRUCK! What a waste of time and what a disappointment. So glad I asked if my order was ready BEFORE handing my card over. YALL NEED TO DO BETTER! This is the 5th time that I personally know about that this has happened. Smh!

I have eaten here maybe 8-10 times in the last year and my medium rare steak is always well done. Always. Every single time. I have never seen any color in my steak, and the fried rice is good enough i will continue my business. Please just barely cook my steak when i order medium rare

Simply DELICIOUS! We were visiting Austin and passed by the truck and it cought my eye, it is red and shiny you won't be able to miss it. I looked at the reviews and decided to give it a try. I love food trucks and always try to support them. It was MOUTHWATERING! Good price, big portions. The chef asked us to order with an upward movement of the head and a very serious look but I guess he lets his food do all the talking and it speaks volumes. Meat perfectly seasoned and done, veggies like I wish I could eat every day, fried rice...well you can never go wrong with fried rice. Stop by and enjoy! Thank me later.

Heard the food was really good was excited to try it for the first time tonight after texting their number to order I got confirmed for 25 min pickup. I arrived in 30 min For them to tell me they did not receive my order 🙃 and that it will be another 25 minutes so much for trying this place the guy at front was rude too

I use to love going here. But after today not so much. I got there no one was there so I thought it would be quick. I was told I had to wait for rice to cook. It would take 15 minutes. Then the guy that works there goes to the porter potty. Pretty sure he didn't wash his hands. I wait an whole hour. Just to receive old dried out chicken, filet/steak/ shrimp. Paid almost 50 bucks. It was still day light so it wasn't late night.

Large portions Bland food The only good bit was the pork egg roll but even that was a bit bland and burnt.... It's okay, wouldn't return though.

Seriously best Hibachi Ive had!!!! The trio combo never fails to satisfy our family
