Amazing food - came for dinner with my wife, left full and pleasantly surprised at the quality and taste! She had the Chicken Parm entree - big cutlet, great sauce flavor and crunch. I had Pasta with Clams in white wine & garlic - good flavors, little spicy flavors, about 8-10 shells. Desert we tried the trio sorbet and mini cannolis. Both great choices! Overall, would highly recommend

Oh dear, our LAST visit to JT's on May 10th left us feeling a tad underwhelmed. While "most" of staff were genuinely lovely and welcoming, the overall experience didn't quite hit the mark for us. The times we used to enjoy at least 3 times a month in there were great. However, we found the meals decay every single time. Last one was beyond disappointing (see pic attached), at the point of the food presentation made us lose the appetite and leave. Not to forget the constantly unhappy bartender on most of the occasions. At this point, why bother? We truly appreciate the effort everyone put in for us over the past few years, but unfortunately, we left feeling that is no longer the right fit for our taste. We called the next day to the managers to give our feedback. Nothing. Follow up call just to bring notes so they can take action. Nada. Best of luck! C&J

Very very nice place. I had never been here before. I was referred to this place by a lady I met. And I was not disappointed, I sat at the bar and all the staff that worked at the bar spoke to me and greeted me. I ordered grilled octopus as an appetizer and BOY OH BOY was it good. I was shocked it was tender seasoned and very good. They said it would be enough for me and I shouldn't want anything else 👀 welp I'm a pretty big guy and I had to order a main course. I ordered JTs steak sandwich and that was really good too. The fries were seasoned to perfection and the steak I ordered was medium rare and that was done perfectly. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone.

We had last minute changes to our Easter brunch plans and fts was excellent in accommodating us. Our server was very attentive and made sure we were well taken care of and all the food was absolutely fantastic. If eggs Benedict is on the menu I will be ordering eggs Benedict and it absolutely did not disappoint. Great flavors but I do wish the meal came with a light aioli to dip the potatoes in. Potatoes were coated in Parmesan cheese and also had an excellent flavor profile. Will absolutely be stopping in again in the future.

Enjoyed a family get together lunch on a busy family weekend all in from all over. Great cocktails and food. We all enjoyed.

Pretty good food. Love their desserts. Only thing is Brunch menu has limited options for vegetarians.

We were so excited to try this restaurant after traveling last summer to Rome and are leaving for a month this summer to multiple locations in Italy. I had the # SECONDI:: Homemade Ricotta Gnocchi FLAT 12 OYSTER & CHESTNUT MUSHROOMS, PARMESAN MUSHROOM BRODO, SHAVED BLACK TRUFFLE, PARMIGIANO REGGIANO $42.00 A a lover of every ingredient listed I was very excited. The Gnocchi were the only edible part of the meal, truffles were either improperly stored or dehydrated, ZERO taste and wood like texture. The dish was so salty it was hard to swallow. When I reported this to our waitress she replied “I see the truffles, they look fresh”. She wasn’t able to absorb my discontent. She never returned to the table again except to push a dessert on us. Very disappointed, I know expecting fresh ingredients might be a high expectation but for the price, bland service and an overpriced dish the chef should be embarrassed. vergognatevi!

Went for dinner tonight. My husband loved the black spaghetti with shrimp, and he definitely got an ample portion. I ordered the stuffed peppers, which came with a few pieces of toast and was very cheesy, and the Caesar salad. After eating I wished the salad would have come out first, as it upset my stomach a little after first having the stuffed peppers with all the gooey cheese, then all the lettuce from the salad. Also, beware if you are a a couple and are seated at one of the tables for 2 along Elmwood, as there are no shades on the windows and you'll be at the mercy of the sun, until the sun sets behind the houses across the street, or the clouds come by to rescue you! Went back to JTs for brunch today. Steak and eggs were great as was the omelette. Only negative observation was the dirty carpet, which seemed not to be cleaned up from the night before.

Yelp
Average at best. Im not knocking this place down, and Im not sure who gave this place a Yelp description of "Gothic vibe". Maybe Gothic as in American Gothic? Or like high schooler trying to be rebel Gothic? Ive been here a few times, brunch, casual dinner, light meal and its nothing special that Im running back for. My most recent visit was a desire for a patio and some sum, which my table on the patio met. During this visit my friend and I weren't looking for a full meal, so a small plate was enough. He got the banana peppers which had little taste and I got the calamari. The waitress was nice enough to let me know they weren't fried, which actually was what I had been hoping for. Unfortunately nothing was very flavorful and nothing stood out for me. My toast was very toasted which made it difficult to cut. Unfortunately this time and in previous visits, Im just not impressed by the food. Overall my food experience is pretty routine. Nothing bold, nothing exciting and nothing driving me to come back more frequently than I do. They have many more fans than me. I frequently see the restaurant packed so the crowd likes it.

Yelp
Had an enjoyable meal. The food was spot on and they had various offerings. The service was attentive in a very relaxed setting.

Yelp
They need to hire more bartenders. Drinks came out after food and expect a twenty minute wait for another round. Staff is great but understaffed. Food was okay. I ordered a warm brownie and it came out room tentative. Not exactly living up to the name. Management stop pinching pennies and hire more bartenders for the busy days.

Yelp
Food and service are great at JTs. Really like the pizza with thin crust. The location is a bonus -- so easy and convenient.
google avatar

Christopher M.

Yelp
The service and meal were fantastic! I cannot think of one complaint. The servers and support staff made sure you had everything you needed throughout your entire stay. The grilled octopus we ordered for the appetizer was phenomenal. It was cooked and charred perfectly. I had the pork trilogy which was delicious as well. The meatball was especially delicious. The ambience of JTs, as an upscale and modern Italian restaurant, is always one of my favorites.

Yelp
We made a reservation for Saturday brunch at 1230. 4 of us and a baby. They have high chairs and were very accommodating. The brunch menu is so good. I ordered the made to order donuts and they were so delicious. Came out so hot, covered in sugar, and the fruit jam dipping sauce was amazing. 2 of us shared a breakfast pizza and it was also really good. Got a coffee and cranberry mimosa. The front patio was open because it was a gorgeous day so it was nice to sit inside but also get the outdoor feel. Would definitely go back for brunch. Love that they accommodate kids and reservations.

Yelp
Once again delicious Eggs Benedict, but again, only lukewarm food. Also, peculiarly, the menu said "Canadian bacon", as did your waitress(vs. crabmeat Benedict). The meat in our Eggs Benedict was maple flavored bacon. The eggs were cooked to a perfectly runny when cut consistency. The bacon was generous and perfectly cooked, and the Hollandaise was lovely, but all lukewarm. This was especially strange as our waitress specifically told us to be careful of the very hot plates. The oven roasted potatoes were plentiful and nicely seasoned, but also lukewarm. Our food was brought out relatively quickly after we placed our order, so since oven roasted potatoes take more than 10 minutes to bake, I think they were cooked earlier and held on a hot tray or reheated when our order was placed.

Yelp
This place came highly recommended, so I had to try. The crispy brussel spouts were amazing. The rest of the food, for the price point, was just okay. The chicken cutlet was overcooked to me, but the side spinach salad was delicious. The ambiance is a vibe. Service was also good. Overall, just feel for the price, could enjoy a better meal elsewhere.

Yelp
I stopped by recently for brunch. It was my first time. Nicely decorated inside, plenty of seating and outdoor patio as well. I ordered the arugula salad. It was light, lemony and fresh. The polenta croutons were crispy and delicious. A nice touch for someone with a gluten free diet and a cool twist on a salad. Service was fine. The plates I saw coming out of the kitchen looked delicious. Unfortunately I wasn't able to try more because of my limited diet. A nice place to stop by if you are in the area and want some Italian.

Becca A.

Yelp
Horrible service. Waitress went to check to see if something was available for an appetizer and didn't come back til 30-40 minutes later. They were not busy. Only had about 5 tables at that point. Once we got appetizers an hour later, didn't come back to let us order our food a very long time too. The food was not good either. Got the soft crab and calamari bruschetta for apps. Lacked flavor and only got a little bit of crab. I got the steak sandwich for my entree. The waitress said it was thin pieces of steak, I could barely bite through it and it also lacked flavor. Certainly not worth what they're charging for their food. Extremely disappointed with our experience.

Yelp
Went to dinner the other night with some friends and we had an awesome dinner! We ordered the arancini with porcini mushroom cream sauce, the salmon puttanesca special, and fillet with broccolini and Gorgonzola. The cheese plate for dessert! The menu has many great options and specials. It was difficult to determine what to order. When we first got to our table we noticed how wobbly it was and once we ordered our apps we noticed our server we could not deal with the wobbly table top for the entire dinner. The manager Tony immediately responded . In the middle of a VERY BUSY seating , Tony sent us to the bar for a complimentary drink while he switched the table out. He was very attentive and apologized for our dinner service being interrupted. We were in no way complaining or annoyed. The service and food were outstanding. We will be back for sure.

Rosanne W.

Yelp
Friday evening dinner on the patio was enjoyable. Food was good but not exceptional . Service was only adequate. I won't say her name but she was not very friendly or attentive . However, JT's has bussers , servers bringing drinks and dinners so we were taken good care of. They even have a young lady who served the bread.. she was a sweetheart! Back to the food.. salads were very good but $16 for small salads with no protein is a bit high. Our dinners were $30+ . In the past, we have eaten at the bar and enjoyed their special of half price pizzas and reduced drink specials.

Yelp
Very nice eggs Benedict. Eggs were poached perfectly, nice and runny. The Hollandaise sauce was nice. The muffin was good too. It came with a generous serving of wedged potatoes, well seasoned. Too bad that the whole dish was not really warm. The restaurant is nice and service was great.

Yelp
What a great location! This area of Elmwood Ave has been my stomping ground since I was young! But this restaurant was a newbie for me! I think when this place first open, I came in one evening for cocktails, and I didn't have any negatives to say about it, but today was the first day I ate there Brunch: Fancy enough to have cloth table cloths, but notably you can come as you are-more dressed up or casual. Staff friendly and attentive. Brunch NOT crowded, we make a reservation because we had a party of eight, but there seemingly was just enough people there-- wasn't too loud and not too crowded to the point where you wouldn't get a table. Even sitting at the bar seemed like a nice spot Loved the Variety and so many items of interest on their Brunch menu and cocktail menu! Apparently they do have an espresso machine but it is reportedly a bit temperamental so was out of commission this afternoon lol, so I Tripple fisted it with a water, Reg coffee and a you're the spritz cocktail--flavored vodka, grape fruit juice Prosecco was singing my name! As an "appetizer" we ordered the Breakfast pizza-2 of them as they are not super large and come with 6 slices a piece ($20 bucks a pie! ), for what it was, I was surely pleased as I don't see breakfast pizzas on brunch menus very often . Many from our table ended up with either the Eggs Benedict w crab cakes or Canadian bacon. LET ME JUST SAYYYYYYY---OMG! that Canadian bacon!!!!!! The best I've evvver had on an eggs benny- some serious and nicely cooked slabs of ham! Never have I evvver ordered an eggs Benny and been so full I could only eat one of the two pieces served! It's was goooood! And I don't eat crab but I heard rave reviews from my fam about the crab cake version! To die for!! Sadly a couple of our eggs bennys --the egg was over cooked, lessening the delicious gooey egg yoke experience, that did make me sad as I order eggs Benny every where I go so I def take note when I don't get a correctly poached egg -However! For ME--the pros out weighted this con so still enjoyed The chocolate shake and presentation of it is awesome too! We were disappointed only with the blueberry dump something lol- it comes out in a skillet-blueberry, custard pancake something. It was less pancake and more this custard thing that we all def could have passed on Overall- I was def satisfied! I want to come bk for more brunch and dinner eventually! Parking: we were very lucky on a Sunday afternoon. We got a spot on the same block as the restaurant but yes, parking will be annoying potentially lol.

Yelp
Service was kind of mehhhhh. Pretty spendy for what you get. Not busy, but had to wait a bit for service. Told the hostess about lack of toilet paper in the ladies'. No TP at all. How does that happen?

Kimberly S.

Yelp
Very bland food. My eggplant fries were over cooked and under seasoned. No flavor at all. Service was decent. Ambiance is great. I wanted to love this place, but I was extremely unimpressed.
google avatar

Yelp
Our party of 4 had reservations this last Saturday at 5pm. The service was fine, no complaints there. The food was good, but one of our plates was was not very clean. That is always a "turn off". The rug underneath us was another story, however. It was absolutely dirty with crumbs, lots of crumbs. The cleanliness of the restaurant in general is questionable when the base of the table we sat at has a thick ring of dust around it, which can only mean that nothing is moved when vacuuming. 2 of us in the party were happy with our meals, the other 2 were disappointed.

Yelp
Came here with a group of 8 people and had a great experience. The waitress was friendly, patient, and made good recommendations. Food came out quickly and was delicious. I got the veggie pizza which was delicious and big enough to take half home to enjoy the next day. Everything was great and I'd love to come here again soon.

Yelp
We were on a walk and stepped in both to escape rain and because we were peckish. Woefully underdressed, we were still seated at a lovely window seat and received kind and attentive service. However, the food... there is no way around it, I wouldn't have served that to my own family at home. Orange juice at a brunch should be fresh, but it came from tinned juice at the bar. Kind of a disappointment, but oh well. I ordered the avocado toast with eggs poached extra hard as runny yolks make my tummy go very wobbly. My order arrived with completely runny yolks on old brown avocado and toast that was burnt to black. No za'atar as promised, but a few sesame seeds. The salad was over dressed with a gloppy tasteless dressing that was too heavy for the delicate leaves. As politely as I could, I sent my meal back (it's not the waiter's fault after all) and asked if we could replace it with the Belgian waffle. Sadly, the replacement was just as awful. The dough was almost raw and the strawberries were rancid and literally brown. I would never serve that to anyone. I doubt we will be returning.

Yelp
Went for brunch with group of 6 women and a toddler. Great service, food was good and had no issue with parking even though this spot is located on Elmwood. From the hostess to the bartender and wait staff, everyone was professional, quick to respond and had a great attitude, which is rare these days. Prices were good.
google avatar

Wendy B.

Yelp
Brussels sprouts were fantastic, and salads were also good. Wood fired pizza can get burnt, though like the bottom of our white pizza. Wasn't a fan and not sure if it's healthy to be eating all that black crust.
google avatar

Yelp
Saturday morning brunch!! A rare a delicious treat. We decided to order almost everything on this fun menu. Starting with the cinnamon roll which comes in a cast iron skillet and is really bite after bite of cinnamony goodness. We had to try the beignets that come with three different sauces but are just as good by themselves. They are already covered in cinnamon sugar and shaped like balls not a traditional square piece of dough. Fluffy on the inside with a crispy outside and plenty of them. Just to be healthy we got a fruit platter. Probably the only thing that was not terribly interesting and a bit pricey compared to other fruit plates at other restaurants. One brick oven margarita pizza ... perfect crust and just the right amount of toppings. Very tasty. And finally one eggs Benedict with a huge side of roasted potatoes. Those all looked delicious and disappeared so I can assume they were delicious. But I didn't taste them because they weren't mine. The service was lovely even for a busy Saturday brunch on a beautiful day. Because the weather was so beautiful the patio was opened for lots of people and puppy watching. But it's done nicely with an iron fence between the restaurant and the sidewalk traffic so you don't feel quite as exposed as you sometimes feel. So for a fun Saturday morning definitely try JT's, along with all their usual other times to eat.
google avatar

Tracy J.

Yelp
It was our first time there and it was great! However, our waiter (James) was not great! We will definitely be back but with a different waiter!
google avatar

Kaylee A.

Yelp
Always a great time a JT's. The food never fails to impress me. I love their grits with eggs and cheese. Almost my go to every time. The service is quick and efficient and the ambiance is quiet and pristine. JT's has remained one of my favorite brunch selections.
google avatar

Hannah L.

Yelp
After a long day at work, I was excited to go to dinner for the first time at JT's. I've walked/driven by what feels like a million times but I've never stopped in until tonight. We made reservations a few days in advance and we got lucky because they sat us on their second floor patio! The view of Elmwood was nice and it was a beautiful night with a nice breeze. My boyfriend got the shrimp cocktail appetizer. It was only 4 pieces of shrimp and at $17, he was a little bummed. I will say, though, the shrimp were tasty and what the appetizer lacked in size, it made up for in flavor. For dinner, I got the margherita pizza. It was the perfect size and it was delicious. The crust was the perfect balance between crispy and doughy, and the sauce and cheese were both tasty. My boyfriend got the linguine and clams, which he enjoyed. I stole a bite and it was on the rich side but yummy nonetheless. The service was great and we were in and out in a pretty timely fashion. I recommend everyone stop here during the summertime for a chance to grab some pizza and enjoy the patio!
google avatar

Erin H.

Yelp
The food was good, but the service was a bit slow. All of our food was delicious, and so were our drinks. We went for brunch, and I recommend making a reservation if you plan on doing so too! Overall, we had a good time and would come back.
google avatar

Ashley R.

Yelp
I like this spot for Brunch or a weekend lunch. The menu is well rounded and you'll likely find something that suits your taste. My favorites are the margherita pizza and greek salad. The clam pasta is pretty good too if you're in to that. Nice selection of drinks, decent service as well but the highlight is really the large covered patio on a prime Elmwood Ave. corner. Location, Location...
google avatar

Katie C.

Yelp
Went for Sunday brunch and had a pretty good time! Food was good. Vibe was relaxed but nice/chic. On the high end of prices for a Buffalo brunch spot but worth it if you want something a little more upscale.
google avatar

Ray T.

Yelp
3 stars because the food is genuinely amazing every time I come in, loss of stars due to the service experienced yesterday 9/25 , the bartender was just seemingly apathetic about everything. He got waters for us but then I had to prompt a drink order. And also prompt our food order. The other bartender was cleaning up after people and actively taking care of customers. We weren't set up properly for the oysters to start and pizza to follow. Space was not busy at the time while we were there. Waters weren't refilled and I was never asked if I wanted another cocktail. They broke a wine glass, wiped the shards to the ground and left the stem just hanging on the bar til after we'd left. I get everyone has an off day but as I also work in restaurants, it seems like the attitude/way they work is probably habitual ,
google avatar

Shell B.

Yelp
We stopped in for the first time here. Beautiful restaurant and we sat on outside covered patio. Our server was fantastic. We had drinks, appetizer, and I had the stuffed pork chop special that was unbelievably delicious. I was so consumed with it that I forgot to take a picture of it. Will come back. It is a $$$ price restaurant. Highly recommend it.
google avatar

Dave S.

Yelp
I'm going to cut to the chase and tell you Sunday brunch today was terrific! I had the eggs Florentine. This cheese and garlic open face bomber is a flavor packed punch in the mouth. It has tomatoes and spinach and in case you missed it garlic. Toasty bread crisp at the edges and soft in the middle. Quite the hangover buster. We also tried the breakfast pizza. Light and airy yet still thin. The sausage was the right amount of salt and spice. Cheese and scallions rounded it out. We housed that one. Add in some craft cocktails and good people watching and I'm in for the win. Apparently they have brunch Saturday and Sunday. Choose your weapon.
google avatar

Michelle Z.

Yelp
I finally had the chance to try this restaurant. I pass by it all the time when I'm down at elmwood and was recommended by a friend. My boyfriend and I came here to celebrate a late Valentine's Day. There are two floors and it was pretty busy when we went. We did make reservations ahead of time so that helped a lot. My bf started out with the Tuna tartare and he liked it a lot. I'm not a fan of raw fish so I didn't try it. I did get the Henry's Famous Spinach Loaf cause it sounded really good and it was. Very cheesy! I never had black spaghetti before so I thought i give it a try! At least I thought it was gonna taste very dry and earthy but it wasn't at all! My boyfriend ordered from the tonight's special menu and got Braised Beef Sort Rib. I tried it out and it was definitely delicious! Highly recommend!
google avatar

Angelina Z.

Yelp
Our first time here and honestly the food is amazing. Don't have any complains about food and service. The only complaint is that it's the only Italian restaurant I've been to that doesn't serve bread at the beginning your visit. I mean bread is key.
google avatar

Carolyn H.

Yelp
too expensive for our experience last night. The waitress was sweet but they brought the wrong salad that was more expensive and when we told the food runner this was the wrong salad she just rudely sesponded, "OK well will you eat it?" .....my mom wanted to be polite so she said "yes, but it's not what I ordered" and the food runner slammed it on the table and rushed away. there was shrimp on the incorrect salad and it had really bad/fishy taste. When we told our waitress about all of this, she said we wouldn't be charged for it. we were charged for it ($9 more than the original salad we actually ordered) and when we asked about it, she said the manager said they couldn't comp it. that's fine, but she could have charged us for the salad we actually ordered...we told her it was the wrong salad and the shrimp was ....well, it shouldn't have been served to customers. then, my mom asked for a second glass of Chardonnay, but I was sticking to one glass of sauvignon blanc. The waitress just started pouring more Chardonnay into my half full glass of Sauvignon blanc. Then, they were rushing to get our plates off the table when I was clearly still eating. After all that, the tab was pretty expensive. Maybe it was just an off night, but I wouldn't go back. ok food, nice waitress but too expensive for the overall less than average experience.

Yelp
Hot August Friday evening. Seats available in this "busy" area. Great host attentive service if kitchen a little slow Maybe a little expensive but excellent salads and one of the best pizzas ever. Good looking people in smart looking restaurant. Definitely would go again on the right occasion although plenty of choices nearby.

Caitlyn F.

Yelp
The hostess was rude, but our waiter was fantastic. He was attentive, polite, and overall just very nice The food wasn't great. The lobster bisque was alright, somewhat salty. Someone in my party order the pork chops. in the description, it says "hot and sweet peppers" but when they tried it, the peppers were just incredibly spicy which resulted in them not being able to eat it whatsoever because the peppers covered the pork chop and everything on the plate. Someone else ordered the steak sandwich, and there was barely any steak on the sandwich. They opened up the sandwich to see that the portion barely covered the middle of the bread and it was most veggies and bread. Two other people ordered the traditional bolognese and the other the fettuccine and scallops. both were very good The cocktails were very good, and the dessert was very delicious as well. the crème brûlée had an orange flavoring in it that was amazing. they gave us sparklers in our desserts for our birthday

Yelp
Great service, atmosphere, food & drinks! Has a cool indoor outdoor feel when they open their windows/garages along the sidewalk.

Yelp
Amazing margarita pizza Really delicious food Can't wait to be back in to try more

Yelp
JTs is my by far favorite restaurant in Buffalo NY. Especially for their brunch menu. I LOVE LOVE JTs. I have sat at both the bar and at the table and I would say that they have by far the best customer service. There Flora drink is my go to. For brunch I recommend the shrimp and grits or the steak in eggs. They have such a trendy / goth vibe with the dark colors and low lights. In the summer they open the patio and top patio to offer more light and to bring in the elmwood vibe outside. Like I said I LOVE JTs and they almost can do no wrong in my eyes, which at this point I do have a bias. They have the best Caesar Salad, it has real anchovies for taste and large portions. Everything is cooked with lots of flavor. I would love to work here maybe only to get the perks of eating other peoples food lol. If JTs ever needs a social media influencer I would love to volunteer as tribute.
google avatar

Joe D.

Yelp
They have the best coldest bottled water ever, screw top. The steak was great too! The staff was great, the place is expensive, you probably already know that.
google avatar

Lindsay W.

Yelp
I love this place. It's one of the more modern and upscale restaurant/bars in the elmwood village. Drinks are made well, food is phenomenal, and the staff is professional and courteous. This visit was to celebrate a friends recent engagement and not only did our waiter bring over a dessert with a sparkling candle, but another server heard about the news and brought over complimentary champagne. They were all so sweet and could not have been nicer. There is an upstairs that you can rent out for private events as well as when the weather is warmer, they have a great patio to enjoy some Buffalo sun! Absolutely recommend checking JTs out in the near future!
google avatar

Joy N.

Yelp
Fantastic Brunch at Jt's. I want to first note that you don't want to come here wearing your hiking gear. I was embarrassingly under dress. My girlfriend suggested this place and I had no clue that is was a trendy upscale restaurant. Despite my embarrassment, brunch was very nice. The food was great and the service was friendly and quick.
google avatar

Jurel H.

Yelp
Update- What a huge difference, time can make. My most current visit, to Jt's was wonderful. I ordered the Filet mignon, and the Traditional Caesar. Both was prepared amazingly. As for the covid situation, that we all are facing. Jt's has done a good job, in making the establishment safe. They have plexiglass walls at the bar, and they spaced out the dining tables. I hear they have a very good brunch, I'm looking forward to trying that very soon.

Yelp
Awesome - consistent - classy- fun - never disappoints! We shared my favorite Artichoke leaves. Caesar salad and a Marguerite pizza. All yummy.

Yelp
Started off a mini college reunion weekend with a few friends that haven't seen each other in a significant number of years here at JT's! Great choice as the drinks were tasty and well alcoholed!(it should be a word though) we ordered two kinds of pizza, a white and a regular sauced... they were so tasty! The crust was perfect, thin in the middle with the outer crust just the right amount of crunch and chewiness!! The toppings were in the exact proportion that stays on the slice and is a morsel in every bite... perfection! We ordered a charcuterie board which was just OK, shrimp cocktails were average and only 4 shrimp..., the artichokes served with arugula were amazing! We ate them so quickly that I didn't get a photo... well we'd had a few drinks by then tooo... and more drinks! The shots of 'te-kill-ya' were smooth, smooth, smooth.... and the service was fairly responsive. We did have to ask several times for a few items, but they were busy...

Yelp
I've heard mixed reviews on this trendy restaurant to hit the Elmwood village. But upon looking at their Brunch menu to find my two favorite breakfast items, (shrimp and grits and eggs Benedict) I decided to give them a shot this past Sunday. We were seated right away and I was happy to see they were fairly crowded. I started off with a nice mimosa! ($8) For my entree , I choose the shrimp and grits and my friend opted for the chicken souvlaki salad. Both entrees came out and I was impressed with the size of my bowl of shrimp and grits immediately. It came with crispy applewood smoked bacon and cheese and scallions were on top. I do like to dip my egg yolks, so I asked for some wheat toast, which they gave me a couple pieces at no additional charge! My friend really enjoyed her salad (especially the green olives in it) and had plenty for leftovers. In and out ... we stayed for about an hour which was perfect for me! The dinner menu is much pricer than the brunch one, so I might have to save that experience for a special occasion. But I would gladly come back to try their eggs Benedict or one of their various pizzas (they even have a breakfast one, yum!)

Yelp
Definitely recommend JT's to everyone looking for a nice restaurant with good food. I love the coveted outdoor space on the sidewalk of Elmwood. The food is great. We generally order multiple pizzas and split and I have yet to find a pizza on their menu that disappoints. Wait staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. One of my favorite restaurants in Elmwood Village.

Yelp
The food is just bad for the price you're paying. Super salty, the bologna is a short cry from Oscar Meyer's, and my pork chop came undercooked. I ended up force feeding myself the pasta bolognese. Also, the Negronis didn't have an orange peel (?!). I'm being such a snob about this, but it's just that I paid money for stuff I'm adding a star because the waitress was great and spinach bread delicious.
