The food was great. The special was beef enchiladas with green sauce and eggs on top and it actually worked. Very tasty. The beef dilla was delicious too. Unfortunately our waitress wasn’t on top of things. We didn’t get chips and salsa and she was too busy on her phone or up front talking to notice. We will definitely come back and try more from the menu and hopefully we’ll have a better waitress.

Google
What a nice surprise! We tried to get into the Thai restaurant next door after church and the wait was at least an hour long. So we tried this place out which is right next door! What a nice surprise!! GREAT service and the food was amazing!! Lots of flavor!! Pleasantly surprised by this restaurant!! Nice menu selection of breakfast and lunch entrees! Chips, salad and guacamole--don't pass up your chance to order those as an appetizer! SO good!

Google
Very pleasantly surprised! We almost went somewhere else, but I'm glad my gut (quite literally) feeling was right. The enchiladas with eggs is outstanding. Give this place a go, you won't regret it.

🍳🥞BEST. OMELETS. EVER.🥞🍳 Whenever I visit Norman, this is my absolute favorite place to eat. Consistently savory. Friendly service. Delicious breakfast every time. Best of all: I get the pleasure of supporting a small business. Juan del Fuego serves generous portions, with plenty of sides, fillings, and sauces to keep you coming back to try different combinations. I love getting a side of pancakes with my omelet--a little bit of cakey sweetness with a little bit of skillet-greased egg. You can select from a variety of pre-prepared options or create a customized order of your own (I can't ever say no to avocado on mine!). Juan del Fuego is happy to cater to your personal preferences. Fans of breakfast food, especially: don't drive past this one! It's an absolute hidden gem.

Google
The family surprised me with a brunch outing at Juan del Fuego for Mother’s Day. Mexican food wouldn’t have been my first choice to celebrate but I’m SO glad they knew better. Although we had to wait about 40 min for a table, the food was well worth it. The waitress was super helpful with answering questions and making recommendations based on kids requests. Highly recommend no matter what you’re celebrating!

Google
When we travel out of state, we stay away from “Mexican” food to avoid disappointment. This place was recommended by a friend and we were glad we went. My husband’s had the Chipotle Burger and it was yummy. I had the special on the board and it to was fantastic. Service was fast. The place was super busy, but we waited no more than 10 minutes for a table. The wait is worth it. This Texan was happy with this place!

Google
A delicious, richly-flavored breakfast with classic diner-style service. An unexpected surprise when visiting Norman.

Google
This place is incredible! If it were in my town, I would be a consistent regular! EVERYTHING was outstanding - from the salsa to the chips to the eggs to the enchiladas to the service... (except the biscuits & gravy, which were average at best). If you like Mexican food breakfast - beyond the typical "huevos rancheros" then this is your spot! Family owned and run (our waitress said the owner was the one cooking) and it shows the pride one takes in their own business. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Kyle ..

Yelp
Great food overall, not just breakfast. They are extremely busy the entire time they are open. The good thing is the food is worth the wait, especially the green chili chicken enchiladas. It's a small place often with a line out the door so don't come in a rush or last minute.

Yelp
Way too many restaurants in Norman and surrounding areas are national chains (or even local chains) so I am always relieved to hear about a locally owned restaurant that is not only good, it's thriving. If you've been in Norman for a while, you likely know Juan from the many years he worked at The Diner. He's opened up his own casual place in Redbud Plaza. It could not be a more perfect breakfast and lunch diner without the hole in the wall. I was able to sit up at the bar/counter and watch the kitchen work and boy are they working their butts off in that hot kitchen. Everything I saw them make looked incredible, it was hard to choose what to order. I ended up going with the waitress' recommendation and she did not steer me wrong. I got the Chorizo con Papas and it was the perfect amount of food, full of flavor and not greasy. I'm excited to come back and try other stuff since I live close by.

Yelp
Our favorite breakfast place in Norman. The service always comes with a smile. I usually get Huevas Rancheros with either red chile or green chile sauce. You must get the Fuego Fries to accompany your meals. They are outstanding home fries. The last time we visited I ordered the Enchirito Vegetariano and it was very nice and filling for a veggie dish. This is a perfect Sunday brunch vibe and who knows?????? You may spot a local celebrity every now and again. The waitstaff keep the glasses full. I look forward to our next visit.

Yelp
The Enchirito Vegetariano is very good, always appreciate a vegetarian option! Service is great!

Yelp
Amazing food and service! There is a reason this place is always packed in the mornings!

Yelp
No wait on Saturday during brunch hours. Incredible and friendly service! The Roadrunner sandwich is hearty and delicious, made with French toast with cream cheese, eggs and ham.

Lynne E.

Yelp
Wonderful local atmosphere. I'm from New Mexico, so I'm very critical of Mexican food. This is not your typical Tex-Mex menu. It is fresh, authentic, excellent Mexican cuisine!

Beth F.

Yelp
Delicious huevos rancheros!!! Excellent service. They offer red or green sauce on the huevos rancheros. I recommend getting them Christmas style (Red AND Green side by side). They also offer a choice of hash browns or seasoned potatoes. Go with the POTATOES!!! They are fantastic ! The service is excellent. Fast, friendly. The restaurant isn't anything fancy. Just comfortable and clean.

Yelp
Great food, great service. My husband's favorite breakfast spot. Fuego fries are the best breakfast potatoes we've had.

Holly K.

Yelp
We ate breakfast there this morning...the food and our service were both very good...but if you want a relaxed dining experience this is not where you want your go. My dil was finishing her coffee we had been there less than 1 hour..I had more than taken care of our waitress when another waitress asked us to hurry and leave because they had people wanting our table. I understand being busy but considering we had not been there an absurd amount if time I thought this was the most unprofessional and rudest I've been treated. I contacted manager and she condoned this behavior. Doesn't matter how good your food is with this attitude I won't be returning

Yelp
Mmmmmmmmm Mmmmmmmmm Mmmmmmmmm Great food, service and price. Definitely will be a quasi regular.

Yelp
The food is amazing been coming here for several years. What keeps me coming back is the family oriented service. Keep things local and help the community. The food is very fresh and always amazing on the taste.

Yelp
Small homey restaurant located within a strip mall. There is not an abundant amount of seating so it's gets full fast and not the best spot for a crowd. I waited to write this review until I had experienced both the brunch and the lunch/Mexican menu. Brunch is the winner, despite the name of restaurant. Brunch was good. I had the usuals, eggs, bacon and pancakes. I was intrigued during brunch to order chips, salsa and guacamole and loved it. Make a mental note to return for the Mexican food. Sadly I wasn't impressed with the Mexican food. Once again I ordered chips, salsa & guacamole. It's $8 and you are only allowed 3 (tiny) sides of salsa and one (tiny) guacamole. Thinking to myself, I can maybe let this slide if the food makes up for it however it did not. I kept it simple, ordered crispy beef tacos. The meat had no flavor. Taco shell was good, rice was mushy and beans were gross. I would go back for brunch if I was in the area but certainly would not seek it out.

Yelp
We really love Juan Del Fuego for breakfast. Unfortunately, we have not been there for awhile. When we go out for breakfast, if the restaurant has huevos rancheros, I always will get that. I have had this dish at a lot of places, but Juan's is still the best. I will always recommend Juan's for breakfast. Unfortunately though, they are closed Monday and Tuesday. Don't forget to check their special of the day on the chalkboard at the back of Juan's. Happy eating!

Mark K.

Yelp
Absolutely hands down the best in town! Food and service is great. Watching these pros work is like poetry in motion! Well done everybody.

Yo M.

Yelp
I've been going to Juan's any chance I get. I've been a customer since they opened. great food, friendly service , it's a family owned and operated little restaurant. many thanks for all the good food and service.

Yelp
Wonderful tamale and egg breakfast. I had the green sauce. Highly recommend. Husband had the chicken fried chicken. Great stuff.
google avatar

Quinda B.

Yelp
My husband gave it a 4 I gave it a 3 on a 1-5. My hash browns and bacon were crisp which I love. Coffee was great. Pancake fluffy. I gave it a 3 bc it simply wasn't served hot. Much better than the diner in Norman
google avatar

Marti C.

Yelp
Amazingly delicious breakfast. Adult beverages are the only thing that would make it better.
google avatar

Jay U.

Yelp
Simply put, Juan Del Fuego is the best restaurant in Norman! Fresh, delicious food for breakfast or lunch, and friendly service... the green chili enchiladas (and tamales) are awesome! Highly recommend!
google avatar

Yelp
First visit today on 11.23.22 had really loved it. Staff was very friendly and quick to clean a table for us. It was packed today, which always makes me feel good about trying a restaurant for the first time. I worry when they're empty lol. Had a party of four, we all tried something different. Everything was delicious. Really liked the Chorito!
google avatar

Shelley H.

Yelp
A must go to in Norman Oklahoma. Chorizo and eggs was obviously cooked drained onions. Homemade, generous portions. Every detail avocado, homemade salsa, homemade hot sauce. It's the little things like ordering well done hash browns and actually getting well done hash browns. Dark Rich coffee. Lovely biscuits and gravy. The crowd outside waiting knows it's well worth the wait. Service was much better than other establishments. Friendly caring group. This owner spun off his own restaurant after the owner of The Djner passed on. They all should be proud. They're doing an amazing job. One day I hope they do chili but for now everything is delicious on the menu. I highly recommend getting up a little bit early and waiting if you have to.

Hector W.

Yelp
Amazing food and exceptional service. Love coming to Thai place every time I am in town, would highly recommend.

Yelp
Hands down the BEST breakfast in Norman! Every time friends or family come through, we'll bring them by and they always want to come back again. The food is authentic and fresh, staff is friendly, and the restaurant itself is very colorful and cozy. The Tamale Breakfast is my go to, but their daily/weekly specials are always worth the try!

Richard H.

Yelp
We love Juan friendly staff and explant Food . My favorite is Fuego fry's . I recommend them with green sauce
google avatar

Kevin H.

Yelp
There is nothing better than sitting at the counter and enjoying a delicious Mexican breakfast. This place is fast, friendly, and efficient. It's definitely the place to go to get breakfast on gameday.
google avatar

Gena M.

Yelp
Love, love love the Chorizo omelette! Juan's homemade chorizo is the best and his homemade salsa and crispy Fuego fries send it over the top! Highly recommend!
google avatar

Mike G.

Yelp
The food is very good BUT tell your server you want the sauce "on the side" otherwise your meal is swimming in it. Service is usually very good as well.
google avatar

Michelle H.

Yelp
This place is a family favorite. Food is always awesome and tasty. Wait staff is hit or miss, but the food is so good we try to over look that. Brunch specials on the weekends. The chicken burrito with green sauce is delicious. Chocolate chip and blueberry pancakes are yum! They do take out as well. Not a lot of seating so the wait can be long.

Maria E. C.

Yelp
I love this place. Great breakfast! It's a bit small but they accommodate us in no time.
google avatar

Stephen G.

Yelp
Without doubt, my favorite breakfast in Norman. Juan does a super legit New Mexican green and red chile that scratches a deep itch for this former Albuquerquian. Family-run, exceptional food, and good people. (The burger is surprisingly stellar, as well.) Love Juan's.
google avatar

Rachel S.

Yelp
This was a great spot for breakfast service was excellent and really on top of it. My husband enjoyed his chicken fried steak very much and it's a really cute little place so I like the ambiance. Would definitely eat here again.

Yelp
Had to get some car maintenance in Norman, so my hubby and I decided to get breakfast and this place popped up in the search. I'm so glad we decided on Juan del Fuego. When you first walk in, it gives diner vibes. The place isn't huge but is still a decent size. There's bar and table seating. We sat at the bar where you can see everything being cooked. After watching the interaction in the kitchen, I'm pretty sure it must be family owned. The food came out faster than I thought it would because when we arrived they were pretty full. We got the egg white and veggie omelette, biscuits and gravy, banana French toast, and papas con chorizo. Everything was delicious and needed NO doctoring (I usually end up doctoring/adding seasoning and sauce to make food taste better). Seriously, eating a mostly plant based/pescatarian diet makes it hard to eat out, but this place has one of the best veggie omelettes I've ever had and it wasn't overly cheesy like most. Also, the banana French toast was so good I didn't even need syrup. I would definitely recommend if you're looking for consistent, delicious, and reasonably priced food. Hope you give it a try and like it! Thank me later!

Carol M.

Yelp
The best "diner " !!! Hard working family owned! Always consistent!!! Something for everyone, non-spicy and spicy options. Delicious homemade Mexican food and delicious hamburgers.
google avatar

Megan S.

Yelp
This is my favorite breakfast in Norman. Stacy is the best waitress who through the years has become like family. I love anything with the ranchero sauce.

Emma C.

Yelp
If I could give them a big fat zero instead of a 1 I would. The lady that served us has been there for years and everytime we have her she's awful and always wears air pods and acts like she doesn't care about the tables. She was so rude to us she asked us after the check if we needed anything else and we said no and she goes okay well we are on a long wait and you guys need to leave basically kicking us out. I work in the restaurant business and no server should ever tell us to leave like that. I'll never come back because of her because she's so rude and disrespectful.
google avatar

N K.

Yelp
Shame that the food is good, but not good enough to outway the sucky service. Won't be back

Kristye C.

Yelp
It's so hard to find a really good consistent breakfast place. Every time we eat here it's soooo good. If the offer the sauce created by the cook try it because it's different and delicious.
google avatar

Dawn M.

Yelp
Stopped in for breakfast. I am a big chorizo fan. The restaurant is clean and inviting. The wait staff was friendly and advised us to pick our seats. Food service was fast. The coffee was good for basic coffee. We both ordered omelettes. I got the chorizo one. The omelette itself was good, but in my opinion the chorizo was subpar. Tasted more like El Paso seasoning on hamburger. Our entire meal was served except for my toast and by the time that came out I had finished my meal. It was overall an acceptable breakfast but driving to Norman from Edmond for basic Tex-Mex was a bit disappointing.
google avatar

Christina L.

Yelp
First time eating here and the staff was friendly and food was great. We had a cheeseburger and the chicken quesadilla. Both were delicious. Cheeseburger was juicy and the quesadilla had the best tasting pico on it. Will be back to try other things soon!

Patrick G.

Yelp
We always go for brunch the Sunday after OU games. Everything is fresh and cooked to order.
google avatar

Lori T.

Yelp
JdF's is locally owned. You will experience a clean/laid back atmosphere, friendly staff and an excellent chef who serves up delicious food consistently! Anytime someone comes to Norman it's our 'go to' for breakfast or lunch (closes 2pm). JdF offers a variety of menu Items. You will taste the best omelette in town along with delicious Mexican entrees. While we have tried most everything on the menu over the years, those 2 are the faves. Oh wait, then their is their green chili patty melt! Just go. Local Lori

Kim S.

Yelp
Excellent food, great service. It's her favorite Saturday morning go to place. Love the specials.

Andrea H.

Yelp
Norman gem. The burgers are just as good as the Tex mex and don't get me started on breakfast. We sometimes plan our week around the hours they are open-that's how good they are!
google avatar

Angela G.

Yelp
Never disappointed with the meal or the service. I always get the chorizo omelet. My husband changes it up because it's all good.
google avatar

Charlie N.

Yelp
First of all this place isn't that big and the bar is only 6 seats so it will take awhile to get in especially on a busy day. We waited 20 minutes but it passed fairly quickly and we were seated. The menu I think is all on all day, meaning you can order breakfast or lunch/dinner even in the morning as they closed at 2 on a Sunday. The wait staff was fairly attentive and seemed to be busy all the time. The food, now this is where the money is, cause it was delicious. I had huevos rancheros with a side of chorizo (extra $) and it was very good. Wife had a chorito burrito with green sauce and it also was great. They give enough in the portion size you're not going away hungry, prolly home with a to go plate. Stop by here and have some great mex food in Norman. It's across the street from Sams club. Enjoy!

Jerry H.

Yelp
Fully understand being busy but waited 15 minutes at the bar and then another couple can in and sat down beside us only to be waited on first. Mentioned to her that we were ready too but she told us she would come back. Why would she have just taken our order? Disappointed, really liked this place.
google avatar

Kenna B.

Yelp
This is my new favorite breakfast spot in Norman. I tried it for the first time last Sunday and came back a week later with a couple friends. Both the food and service are great. They also have a good variety to choose from and very reasonable prices. I'm so glad I discovered this place!

Rusty M.

Yelp
Great menu, food, service, personality and convenient location stack up to happy feelings!
