Best Mexican Restaurants in Las Vegas | Eater Vegas

"A Las Vegas Mexican staple, Juan’s Flaming Fajitas is best known for its, well, flaming fajitas brought right to the table. But, that is second only to the atmosphere with bright murals, live music, and a solid happy hour menu. And a hot cup of fideo soup primes the palate for savory carne asada and crunchy taquitos. Also in Henderson and Centennial Hills." - Janna Karel

"A Las Vegas Mexican staple, Juan’s Flaming Fajitas is best known for its, well, flaming fajitas brought right to the table. But, that is second only to the atmosphere with bright murals, live music, and a solid happy hour menu. Juan’s full menu is comprehensive and has just about every typical Mexican dish a diner expects. Best 11 Las Vegas Restaurants for Taco Tuesday | Eater

"The sizzle and flames of fajitas ushered through the dining room keeps regulars coming back to the fiery red setting of Juan’s Flaming Fajitas & Cantina. Happy hour seven days a week from 3 to 7 p.m. offers house margaritas in guava, mango, and raspberry for $3.95 or $4.95, taquitos filled with shredded beef, ground beef, or chicken for $6.49, and a sampler of Juan’s favorites including nachos, taquitos, and a quesadilla for $9.95. There’s a large selection of margaritas, but the La Paloma, made with Cazadores Reposado, fresh lemon juice, and Squirt soda is addicting. A new Henderson location recently opened." - Vox Creative

Just as good as ever. I remember coming here in middle school, now I’m in college, and everything about the restaurant is still amazing. Everything tastes fresh and is very flavorful. We went again recently for my mom’s birthday and we had a great time. We had gotten a variety of dishes and they were all exceptional. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. The restaurant seemed very busy but our service was great and everything came out quick. They were so on top of everything and all of the staff were incredibly kind. I highly recommend checking this place out if you have the chance.

This is by far the best Mexican restaurant I've ever been to. First time a US based restaurant gave me food memories of being in Mexico years ago. Had to wait about 15 minutes for a table and we're seated outside on the patio. It was a cool evening so it was delightful. Drink orders taken immediately and chips, 2 kinds of salsas and a bean dip came out. All delicious! Our waiter was kind and patient as we had 3 kids with indecisiveness. A small bowl of delicious soup came out next. Then our fajitas (steak and pork) for two. Fun presentation of setting it on fire. Waiter recommended to add cheese on top and glad we listened. We asked for corn and flour tortillas, both homemade. Kids all enjoyed their meals from the kid menu (chicken taquito, beef burrito and beef enchilada). We ate til overly stuffed because everything was amazing! Highly highly recommend this place!

Took my husband here to Juan's Flaming Fajitas for the first time on March 15th, 2025 (late post). There was a little wait but we sat in the bar area which was nice and quieter than the main restaurant area. Parking here is bad but it was a Saturday and we went for the Happy Hour and birthday celebration. The food was delicious! We ordered drinks and queso fundido to start. The fideo soup was so good. He ordered the special fajitas with chorizo and more meat on top. I ordered the gringo enchiladas which were really good too. Our only complaint besides the lack of parking is that it felt that towards the end of our meal we were being rushed out. He was going to order more drinks and I might have ordered a dessert. There were empty tables at that time so that wasn't the issue. Still, the food was delicious so I am sure we will return. Highly recommended.

I grew up in South Eastern New Mexico. I don’t usually eat Mexican food in restaurants because it cannot compete with my friends mothers growing up. However, while in Vegas on business, we all went to Juan’s for dinner. I was very hesitant, but I was pleasantly surprised. The pork fajitas Al Ambre were absolutely fantasitco. The salsa was excellent as were the beans and tortillas. The atmosphere is amazing and our waitress was top notch! If you are in Vegas, craving some fajitas, Juan’s is a great choice!

Google
Everyone in our party of six liked the food. Service was very friendly and attentive. The people who ordered enchiladas complained that they weren't hot. At $18 for two tacos, it seemed a little pricey, even if it did come with a cup of fideo, rice, beans, and a huge serving of chips and salsa. I'd recommend the fajitas. Outdoor seating on the porch was perfect in April.

Google
I was recommended this place by some friends. I’ve lived in Mexico and love the food. Unfortunately, our experience wasn’t like they described. The salsa was bland. The starter soup tasted like a watered down canned tomato, not fresh at all. The waiter admitted they use horchata mix when I pointed out the lack of flavor. Which, I respect the honesty, but my expectation at a decent restaurant is that the food is made in house, even counter service restaurants make horchata freshly. For mains, we got the quesabirria and a pork fajita. We agreed the birria was objectively horrible, with a weird flavorless cheese. The consommé was ok. The refried beans tasted & looked like they were just dumped out of a can. The pork fajita was decently good, but I was let down by the rest before it came. Pretty table-side fire presentation. It took a while to flag down a staff member, but they were understanding & replaced my meal with a fajita dish and black beans. Afterwards we found out they’ve been in the news for labor violations, so that explains being understaffed. Maybe it used to be better?

Google
I came here earlier this week. I ordered the Carne Asada plate and it was fantastic. Pricing was very reasonable at $15. Also, Mexican beer selection on tap was fantastic. The most impressive part about this restaurant is the staff. They are all so friendly and professional.

As soon as I walked in, I was greeted and sat. Our server was Valintine service was great , The food was amazing, the atmosphere was a vibe. I’ll definitely be back. Lily Sandra and Valentine made my visit a great one.

Yelp
Great atmosphere and amazing service. Ingrid and Yajaira took excellent care of us; constantly checking in, clearing plates, and keeping our drinks filled. The food came out quickly, was full of flavor, and the meat quality really stood out. I was genuinely impressed with this place. Definitely worth checking out if you're in town. Only thing to keep in mind: there might be a bit of a wait at times.
google avatar

Wendoline B.

Yelp
Came in for lunch as soon as they opened. Valentin was our server and he was awesome, we were given water the minute we sat down and our food arrived within 10 minutes of ordering. The food was great, but would love a full piece of steak/chicken instead of it being cut up in pieces. Loved that the restaurant smelled really clean when we walked in too.

Yelp
While visiting Las Vegas we were driving out west to visit Red Rock Canyon. We read about Juan's Flaming Fajitas & Cantina and stopped for lunch at their location on West Tropicana in Summerlin South - we're sure glad we did. They have an indoor dining room and an outdoor patio - which we chose to sit (it was appropriately shady). I ordered their 2 item combination lunch plate with a Shredded Beef Enchilada and a Shredded Chicken Taquito and my wife got the 2 item combo as well with two tacos, stuffed with different protein. Our server was great - attentive and very friendly. While we were waiting for our food we enjoyed the tortilla chips with two flavors of salsa and bean dip (all complimentary with lunch). Also glad they offer a "lunch Margarita" - just a smaller glass that the full Margarita. Our server brought our platers - combinations come with beans and rice. We both enjoyed our lunch - I was especially pleased with the Shredded Beef Enchilada - the flavors were amazing. We'll happily return to Juan's the next time we're in Las Vegas (they currently have 3 locations in town).

Yelp
Was a recommendation didn't expect it to be so busy on a Wednesday night 45 minute wait for a table I was able to sit at the bar ordered burrito with shredded beef delicious and a huge shareable portion a couple sitting next to me recommended the fajitas and enchiladas will definitely return

Yelp
Brenda took great care of us, recommended the cheesecake chimichangas and it was so good. Great salsas and bean dip. Ordered the shrimp chipotle and enjoyed it. Will come again!

Yelp
We got takeout 4/29 for our 19th wedding anniversary. And we came here on 5/10/25 - we traditionally celebrate Mothers Day with my MIL and my mom on the day before, so Mother's Day (sunday) is for me. Excellent food. This is one of our favorite restaurants. Excellent service. (We've only had one bad experience here over the years; once, the pork was gamey- this was a while back.) We usually get the Fajitas for 2 - beef & chicken, seasoned perfectly. The flour tortillas are so delicious (we also ask for extra). The salsas are tasty, all of them. The beans and rice is yummy. The soup is very good. My MIL got the chimichanga (came w/ soup) and her husband got the taco salad, shredded chicken. One drink. My in-laws are very picky. But they too like this place. All three dishes $88. Not bad. We always have leftovers. Enough to make 6 more tacos. Mmm.

Yelp
Just in time for Cinco de Mayo!! What a great and fun place to eat!! They have deals for 5 days for cinco de mayo ongoing May 1-5. The servings are huge . We tried to share 1 dish for 2 people but we didn't even get to finish it. Not that it's not good, food was awesome . They gave a serving of nachos and some soup before we even ordered. Ambience was like a FIESTA with energizing music, people singing happy birthday to guests and everyone bustling around. Food came fast and check out their flaming entrees. Perfect for big groups and price is very reasonable . Will definitely come back Oh can't forget to mention---our server was Silvano. He was awesome and attentive!!
google avatar

Yelp
I have been here many times now and it's always good. Today was definitely the best experience here so far. The server was excellent and prompt and our busses kept us well stocked and was very good at keeping the table clear. I tried the parillada which I haven't tried before and really liked it. The pork was incredibly tender, the chicken was juicy. Love sitting outside here. Weather this time of year is perfect for it!

Yelp
This place is known for their giant portions of fajitas. For me, the star was the sopa de fideo - just like my grandma and mom used to make! The fajitas were just ok, nothing to write home about. Service is great and the rest of the food was really good. Some of the meat was a little dry or chewy so that took from the experience. I'd be back to give it another try because like I said it wasn't bad, but it wasn't stellar.
google avatar

Dee Ann M.

Yelp
Update: the owner reached out to me to apologize and make it right. I added a star to previous post (edited) and look forward to changing it back to the 5 star service I know Juan's to be. I am a long time patron as you can see by my first review being over 10 years. Juan's has always been a great place for my friends and family to meet up. My margaritas were incredibly weak and not worth the happy hour price. It was highly disappointing as the margaritas are always so great and one of the main reasons we chose to come to Juan's for our girls dinner.

Yelp
Patio service today since we're having beautiful weather ! Enjoyed a little family get together a nice atmosphere outside. We had chips and two different kinds of salsa along with a bean dip, complementary as we were going over the menu. Service was a bit slow and a few misunderstandings on drinks and food , but Arturo and Jose quickly got things going , might suggest that they try and do some upselling as no appetizers or bar drinks offered !We enjoyed some of the luncheon menu items fajitas were very popular ,food came out in a reasonable amount of time, everyone food was nice and hot, tasted good. Luncheon menu prices were reasonable. I think we'll return for another outside adventure and try a few other select items.

Yelp
I do looove a good brunch spot@! Juan's weekend brunch menu is a killer deal! $18 for a large breakfast and a drink? Sign me up! They also have amazing chips and salsa and bead dip that just keeps coming, which is a gift! Everything here was SO good too! I had the Huevos Ranchero with beans and rice and a margarita, the perfect breakfast honestly. My husband had a Blood Mary with Huevos Machaca and beans and rice which he loved. We even had left overs! Our friends loved all of their food too. We sat outside on the cute patio and everyone took such good care of us. This was a great stop on our road trip!

Jose E.

Yelp
My family and I have been here several times. Tonight was a huge miss. Food quality was abismal. We all chose different plates. Not one of them was good. Not sure if there has been some changes recently in the kitchen, but we were beyond disappointed. Service was the only great thing, constant refills without even having to ask for it.

Yelp
This was my first time eating at Juan's Flaming Fajitas and I really enjoyed my experience! The chips and salsa were an experience on their own - crispy tortilla chips with substance, one spicy salsa, one on-the-sweeter-side salsa, and a bean dip - all delicious. The meals came with a starter soup that was very flavorful with small noodles in it. This was a nice surprise. I ordered a two combination plate - a beef taco and a chicken enchilada. Both were brimming with meat and the whole meal was more than enough to eat, especially with the generous helpings of rice and beans. I actually had to bring home half of my entree, because I couldn't stop eating the chips and salsa. Our server was Elizabeth, she was friendly, helpful and attentive, and made our impression of Juan's Flaming Fajitas that much better. Something to keep in mind, this restaurant is busy, so making a reservation would be recommended. Overall a tasty and comfortable experience, giving value-received.

Yelp
Always good. One of my favorite. Portions are big and the service is friendly. Always a pleasure to come.
google avatar

Yelp
As always Juan's continues to have outstanding service and great food. I am never disappointed with the flaming Fajitas. It's a skill to pace yourself through the chips, salsas and warm bean dip so you are not full by the time your lunch arrives. You never leave hungry!
google avatar

Samantha K.

Yelp
Juan's Flaming Fajitas has officially become a go to for us! My husband and I get the flaming fajitas for two with steak and shrimp, and you can't go wrong with a happy hour margarita.... Or two! Servers are always prompt in offering more drinks, chips and salsa, and they bring soup before your meal as well! Music is pleasant level, you can hear people getting birthday wishes, and every time we dine in we have enjoyed the atmosphere and seating set up not feeling like we are in the middle of everyone! Make sure you say with cheese for your fajitas - so bomb!!
google avatar

Odalys C.

Yelp
Delicious and great customer service. Ordered a michelada and fajitas for two.a cup of fideo is complimentary with your meal.
google avatar

Wei C.

Yelp
Great place! Very festive inside! Friendly service! Once again great food! We were offered chips with 3 different dipping sauces and later offered refill. Next we offered very tasty soup on the house. We ordered stake and shrimp Fajitas for two. It came with high flame which is a fun and visual spectacle. Fajitas were lightly seasoned and yet tasty! It came with rice, beans, tortillas and other fixings. The meal is really substantial and reasonably priced. Juan's Flaming Fajitas has become our go to Mexican restaurant!
google avatar

Rod L.

Yelp
Wow! Another visit to a restaurant based on good Yelp reviews and not disappointed. Juan's has the "normal" Mexican menu items, but the fajitas stand out for what makes it special. Our party was there for lunch and mostly ate off of the lunch menu, but the quality of food was great and there was plenty off it. The greeting was friendly when we went in and the service stayed good throughout. It is a noisier atmosphere (partly because it was a full restaurant when we were seated), but a nice casual environment. Definitely a "go back" place.
google avatar

Dora C.

Yelp
Oh so good! This was my first and definitely not my last time eating at Flaming Fajitas! We came during lunch time and were seated immediately. We sat in the bar area. There is plenty of parking and easy to find. Everyone who works there was friendly and helpful. Our server was amazing! Nothing but good vibes here! The chips, salsa and bean dip are delicious! The chips were crunchy and worthy of a five star review. The salsa and bean dip taste well. I dipped my chips in both. They make a great combination. They also gave us a homemade soup while we were waiting for our meal. It reminds me of a home cooked soup that my mom used to make. We had the shrimp fajitas! These were the best fajitas I have ever had. They are loaded with beans, chorizo and plenty of shrimp. The bell peppers were also delicious and seasoned well. Everything was cooked to perfection!!! Definitely on my top 3 places to eat!!
google avatar

Yelp
Been here a couple of times now, and the service and food here is very good. The place is always busy, so be sure to make a reservation. We got the pork and chicken fajitas for three and still had leftovers to take home. After seating us, they immediately brought us a large basket of fresh chips and salsa. So yummy and I always eat too many. A small cup of soup is included with our entree. The fajitas are flaming table side and quite the show. Enormous serving, delicious veggies, full of flavor and very satisfying. Will definitely be coming back!
google avatar

Yelp
My husband and I have wanted to try Juan's Flaming Fajitas for a long time. We finally ate there on a Saturday evening. They are extremely busy on the weekends and reservations are highly recommended as we didn't have a reservation and we waited about thirty minutes to get a table. It was worth it. It was tasty and fresh. My fish entree tasted like it was caught from the ocean that day. We had a wonderful waitress named Daisy. She was kind, attentive and friendly. We will return to try more of their delicious food in the future.
google avatar

Tania M.

Yelp
Juan's flaming fajitas. What's can I say besides wow. I've always wanted to check it out and never had the chance because it was always packed- and now I see why. While my initial impression upon entering wasn't my favorite with the staff that greeted us, that was quickly overshadowed by the outstanding and efficient customer service and management of the restaurant. My water was not even two sips down before it was being refilled. My bf annihilated the beans and before he could get his last dip in- another bowl was rounding the corner. A well oiled machine with an even more outstanding food to back it up. A fantastic place for a family gathering or event- if you can get in- but definitely worth it. Kudos to the staff and a big bow to the chefs for their delightful and delicious experience.
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
I went here for lunch on a Wednesday happened to be a special for margaritas. I got the verde enchilada lunch special. It wasn't bad but it was the best I've had. I've also never had cheddar cheese on my enchilada before. The chips were made fresh and the salsas were good but idk the rice tasted off to me. Again it wasn't bad just not great but it got the job done lol.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing basic food with good drinks. Loved the patio and prefer it over dining inside. Service was also great!
google avatar

Sean D.

Yelp
Solid lunch at the Tropicana locale...usually hit the water street restaurant but was in the area so decided to stop in...not nearly as busy as Henderson, walked right in...sat on the patio which was nice, cooler day outside and comfortable...usual chips and dips were brought out, good as usual...ordered some beers from lovelady brewing as it was $4 Thursday...bargain for sure!!! Also had the lunch shrimp fajitas, outstanding!! Corn and flour tortillas as well...food was delicious and the service was very good too!! Juan's is definitely one of the better Mexican places in Clark county and will continue to patronize all locations in the future...RECOMMEND

Yelp
If you are craving Mexican, Juan's Flaming Fajitas is the place to go. The food is ALWAYS good. Anything you order will not disappoint. The service is outstanding. Our favorite waiter is Chris. His attitude, friendliness and professional demeanor demonstrates how much he loves working there. Tells me management treat their employees very well. We used to go to the Henderson location but because of Chris's great customer service, we now drive out of our way to the Tropicana location. Last night, I took my friend who has never been there and sure enough we run into Chris. I had to get a picture. Thank you, Juan's Flaming Fajitas, for providing a great establishment for us to enjoy with our friends and family. You have a forever customer!!

James P.

Yelp
Very disappointed in the fish tacos. Over fried, too spicy and the fish was bad tasting. I ate there last Friday evening and my granddaughter said the same thing and did not finish her meal. My wife had the shrimp burrito and it to was way too spicy. This is the second time we have had a bad meal
google avatar

Connie C.

Yelp
Prompt service, delicious food. The "foodie" with me was impressed with the menu & enjoyed the margarita flight with mole enchiladas.
google avatar

Randy R.

Yelp
Walked in to a cramped waiting area and a line that reminded me of a Las Vegas top nightclub. To avoid staring at random strangers that were all thinking the same thing (putting juicy meat in our mouths), I made my way over to the bar. This is going to be the best part of the restaurant, their drink quality and drink selection was great. Being a high caloric individual, I asked for a recommendation, took it and ended up with what seemed to be pounds of beef (fajitas) in front of me. The food was good, but not great. I'm not saying don't try it - you may really like it, especially if you grew up in a non-Hispanic household and only know salt and pepper as seasoning and spices, but I am saying the hype and overall waiting experience, was not worth the dishes.
google avatar

Rika L.

Yelp
Great happy hour! fast service, Nice service as well. Flan was amazing and everything is great here
google avatar

Tia G.

Yelp
I've been here a couple times and each time so far it has been amazing! From food to service - everything was great. On my last visit we ordered the flaming fajita lunch special (of course) and it was still plenty of food!! Wasn't expecting to leave with any togo's, but we sure did with a few. I've only been to this location, so I can't speak for the other location but if you're in the mood for sit down Mexican and in the area (or not) - stop by and try it out!!
google avatar

Eloy G.

Yelp
This was a solid Mexican restaurant! The food was authentic and had great flavor along with super great service! I had the chile relleno and the beef enchiladas and both items were delicious and full of flavor. The gentlemen who served us was great and great manner and fantastic service. I would definitely eat here again and so far one of the best if not the best Mexican food I have had in Vegas in the last 10 years! You gotta try it for yourself!
google avatar

Dennis S.

Yelp
The food was good . Its more for the atmosphere and drinks. The chips they give when u sit is awesome. Bean dip is great! Check this place out. You might like it!!
google avatar

Jeannine C.

Yelp
If your looking for a sit-down lively dining experience with full on tequila tastings and vibrant deserts look no further! I would say Juan's represents authentic south of the border food very well. The vibe is upscale Mexican cuisine with flashy well portioned fajita plates, complete with masculine macho décor. I opted for their tequila flights and found that the tequila flights are an exciting way of testing out some of their flavors. They have many, especially for their margaritas. Flavors include guava, peach. passion fruit etc.... From my observations of looking around the room being nosey, trying to figure out what I should get, and of course reading the name of the restaurant out loud lol... duh, I figured out that this place is known for their flaming fajitas so I did choose a steak one and it was superb!

Allison R.

Yelp
The fajitas never fail great food great service nowhere comes close. Always a favorite

Yelp
Went with a small group of 7. Was my first time trying Juan's. Our service was amazing. Always coming to check on us to make sure we have drinks and chips and salsa. The food came out very fast and was hot and all looked so good. The portions were huge. Couldn't eat all my burrito. Had to take half of it home. Which was fine with me. Was gonna be a great lunch. Only down side was parking. Can be busy at times.
google avatar

Joyce J.

Yelp
The food speaks for itself. The customer service is incredible. The atmosphere is welcoming.

Yelp
There is a reason why this spot is always so busy. Even the pickiest of eaters will enjoy this place. We know because this is where we take our grown friends who are pickier than toddlers who only eat chicken nuggets. No really. The margaritas are on point. The portions are insane. This is not the kind of place to take someone who is on a diet...unless you want to torture them by having them watch you devour the mountain of chips and salsa that are immediately placed onto your table when you are seated. Oh, and the beans...because salsa isn't enough. Lol. Juan's Flaming Fajitas provides pure gluttony. Seriously. The fajitas truly are the best I've ever had anywhere, and that is saying a lot because my hubby and I travel all over the world and love our meats. There is just something so magical about the beautiful sizzling plate that is lit on fire at your table...say yes to the cheese and mushrooms. The portion for one is enough for two BUT you will not want to share so don't and just plan on not eating for the rest of the day. Mondays are Michelada Mondays and you can order a beer with the michelada accompaniment for a fraction of the price. I highly recommend to make a reservation because it will be busy even on an "off" day when you think everyone visiting from out of town has left...rest assured that the locals are still here and waiting in line for their turn for a feast!

Yelp
Amazing food here at Juan's ! We order fajitas for three with shrimp, pork, and chicken. With a side of rice and beans. The food was amazing and it came with a table side show. They offered both corn and flour tortillas , so great options for everyone. Definitely a great family restaurant and perfect for a large group of people.

Yelp
Just wanna add that we went back to this place and ordered the ceviche and my gosh! It was so good!
google avatar

Yelp
Great as always. Food has a fresh quality and service is great. We always have the flaming fajitas and they never disappoint.
google avatar

Yelp
Here in Las Vegas visiting and dropped by for happy hour. Food was not good. No flavor, ceviche was so sour from too much lemon. I only ate one taquitos and some of the ceviche and left the rest. I would not recommend. $24 with happy hour prices.

Yelp
Food was amazing and the service was phenomenal. I'm visiting from out of state, this place was wonderful and excellent. I have already been telling everyone that must try this place when they come to visit. I will definitely be eating here every time I come back. I would give this 10 thumbs up if I could!! The ambience is was so nice and you felt at home coming here.

Yelp
Somehow my Wife's Nephew has decided this our "gathering place"., which is funny because we always end up at the same table in the bar area. First time we were here, the waiter did not know what a "vodka tonic" was. What? We were here last week and the waiter said "unfortunately we are out of tonic". Anyway, I say all this out of love and respect, because Juan's Flaming Fajitas is a great place, (even if they're out of tonic). Food's good. Chips are ok. Service is great.

Yelp
The service was outstanding. Big groups are always tough to handle due to different personalities, etc. Drink and food orders were made quick. Drinks and food came out in a timely manner. Plates were cleared right away. Everyone enjoyed their food. The margaritas were on point. I ordered the Parrillada for two. That meal can easily feed 4 people fyi. All meats were delicious. I really enjoyed the beans and rice. I would definitely return next time in Vegas.

Yelp
I came here for my cousin's 21st birthday. It was a great time. Large portions of food. The food is fresh, hot, and tasty. The soup is sooo good also. On my top Mexican food spots. Very busy, so reservations are highly recommended to avoid waiting.

Yelp
Our favorite Mexican restaurant that we visit as often as we can. Great food & service is the best.
