Juci Jerk

Sooo what can I say about Juci Jerk. Well let me start by saying they use to have some phenomenal can't wait to get to the car type of meat. The sides were always questionable. During covid they went downhill but we thought it was them not grilling with the correct tools being that wood was hard to acquire. After covid we tried again and it was better. Well today we are back to the mediocre flavor. I do not have a problem with dryer meat. My issue is I paid for one thing and received something different. My husband picked up the food assuming it was correct. They threw a few pieces of what we ordered on top and the rest was something we did not order. They prepared grilled ribs (KingsFord charcoal), nothing jerk about them. Respectfully try them yourself and perhaps it will be a better day for them. I wish them the best because clearly they "had" the winning formula at one time. I truly hope they return to their original standard.

The food was hot, fresh and absolutely AMAZING! I can’t wait to go back. I had the ribs and the jerk chicken. Top Tier. It’s a small building but the food has big bold flavorful seasonings cooked to perfection. It’s a great Caribbean food option if you’re on that side of town.

I used to go here regularly. I got a small jerk chicken plate with rice and peas and cabbage and nild sauce is the boss. The food used to be really delicious the chicken was grilled and not to the point of almost being burned. The chicken was alright as long as the fire doesn't char the chicken skin my drumstick looked like it was charred extremely on the skin. Keep a eye on the chicken. I visited on 7/17/2025.

I wanted to give this place a five star review because the food was good. The customer service was horrible. I liked to have slipped when entering the restaurant and the ladies both wearing red and blue hair didn’t budge getting the water up; just looked at me. You’re not greeted at all. When paying they ask for a tip. I would have loved to tip, but the customer service wasn’t there. I only went here today because my sister recommended this place, but I don’t think I’ll be back. Jerk chicken and shrimp was good though. You attach good customer with that food you’d be unstoppable.

I visited this restaurant expecting a full barbecue experience, but they were completely out of chicken, ribs, and pork—just macaroni and cheese left. The mac and cheese did have a nice cheese pull, but it was nothing memorable. To my surprise, they even offered me barbecue sauce to put on it, which didn’t exactly help. Overall, it was just OK. Don’t waste your time or the drive—you’d have better luck finding barbecue at a gas station or an empty parking lot. Yes, they wanted a TIP. TIP, don't run out of food!

A1 review 8.5/10 ! I've visited twice now and will continue to visit for, lunch, dinner or meal prep! First the building is clean, small and no dine in option but no worries. I just want my food and go lol. Customer service mediocre but definitely not bad. Parking not alot but enough. Food: 8/10 The flavor is unmatched! Its the dry pieces for me some of it is dried out and hard to chew so I tend to throw some of that away. Then some of it is extremely moist and very yummy and flavorful. I really like it. Serving sizes are great and I love how they chop it up. 8/10 Ribs are flavorful and just like the chicken I love the jerk chard taste so good! My rinds weren't meaty alot of bone but it tasted great and no sauce required. I add sauce to the food because I love there sauces. Rib has the right amount of chew and moist texture. 7/10 rice and peas are very basic but their decent and they give you plenty for sure. Not alot peas in them though. 10/10 The cabbage for the win! The right amount of crush texture not to soggy. Nice flavor with veggies throughout which i like alot. Corn green beans, and peas. They don't give you alot with the meal. Ill probably have to add a small one my next visit. 10/10 gravy a little different than gravy but yummy. Its like combination of there sauces I think. Spicy sauce is a win in my house and I love the mild one. Like a sweet bbq sauce Definitely had enough to meal prep for 2 days and I ate some. So I ate off this plate 3xs. I dont eat alot so to each there own. Im considering getting a whole chicken for my meal preps from time to time. This place won't disappoint other than sometimes a little more dry pieces than my stomach can tolerate. I live it there!!!

we used to live in Stone Mountain a few years back and this was always our go to place whenever we wanted some good jerk chicken or oxtail. So when we came into town this weekend for a concert, I had my husband drive me 40 Minutes. This was a big mistake. This place is really gone down. They no longer have oxtail, which is fine because I’ve always known that. Their other menu items were delicious so I ordered the chicken and rib combo. Everything was burnt. I peeled the skin off the chicken and that didn’t help much because the chicken was dry. I ended up throwing the entire plate away.

My fiancée has always ordered from Juicy Jerk, but this was my first time visiting in person. Pulling in can be a little tricky--I ended up parking at the tire center next door and walking over. The inside is small, with no seating, so it's mainly set up for Uber Eats, DoorDash, or quick pick-up orders. There's no clear signage or direction when you walk in, and with the number of people standing around, I had to ask if they were waiting for their orders or in line. We placed a to-go order, and although they quoted 20 minutes, it ended up taking about 45. Honestly, I didn't mind--because their food is always worth the wait. We ordered the small jerk chicken meal ($9.75) and the large jerk salmon meal ($18.50). Each comes with rice and peas plus cabbage. My fiancée asked for more cabbage than rice and peas, and they definitely delivered. The food was piping hot and fresh--the chicken was juicy, perfectly seasoned, and full of flavor, while the salmon was tender and flaky without being overcooked. They only have two sauces--mild and hot--and fair warning, the hot sauce packs a serious punch. Overall, this Juicy Jerk location never disappoints, both in flavor and freshness, and it keeps us coming back for more.

So I returned to this restaurant on 7/17/2025..I moved out of Clarkston GA a year ago to Lithonia and I have not visited. Before that awhile ago I used to be here on a regular basis. The plate that I got is a small jerk chicken plate with rice and peas and cabbage. Everything was delicious and the mild sauce is boss! I like Jamaican food because it's healthy and not fried. Compliments to the chef the chicken is great as long as the fire doesn't char the skin on the grill.

I recently stopped by this Jamaican eatery to try out their famous ribs. I heard that they get crowded and sell out of items, so I arrived shortly after they opened on a Friday. The restaurant is compact. There are no tables, so you have to take your food to go. I placed my order at the counter and was told to come back in 15 minutes. They have a speaker to announce when your order is ready, but it was down during my visit. I ordered the shrimp, jerk ribs, rice and peas and cabbage. The shrimp were small and overcooked, but the sauce was delicious. The rice & peas and cabbage were decent, but the ribs were definitely the star of the show. I wasn't a fan of how they were cut, but they tasted so good. They were smoky and the jerk seasoning wasn't overpowering. Their jerk bbq sauce is bomb as well.

Amazingly fresh from grill. Skin was crunchy and inside chicken was so flavorful and moist. Chose the light spice bbq sauce. The chicken was season well and taste of light ginger yummy.

Juci Jerk is a takeout only place, so we ordered delivery. The meat is really tasty - grilled to perfection. The flavors were just delicious. The cabbage was alright. I also enjoyed the rice and peas as well as the Jamaican soda. Highly recommend.

When I first moved into the area (~3 years ago), my new neighbor recommended this place. Now I don't just trust anyone's recommendation so I was hesitant at first but it was so close to the house and I had no idea what other food options were around here. We took a chance and it has become a frequent meal in our house ever since. So over these 3 years, I have to say they are so consistent and so tasty. We only get the ribs there and that is all you need. People there are always chill and giving good energy. There has not been a single time we were disappointed in our meal

I struggled deciding how many stars to give Juci Jerk bc if we are talking about the food, it deserves 5/5 stars, hands down. I'm a huge fan of their shrimp (I think it's the best item on the menu) and their jerk chicken. We've been eating here before all of the "celeb ravings," so you could imagine our surprise when things started to slip downhill. If you aren't familiar, Keith Lee visited Juci and left a review that went viral. He literally blew my spot up lol what went from a 15 min wait for food quickly changed to a 4 hour wait. I am not joking - one instance we had to order and leave and come back. Ever since, I feel like the business has struggled to stay atop this overnight success. For starters, their IG bio lists a phone number where you can call in orders/catering - you think they ever answer that phone???? and if they do, they are absolutely not accepting over the phone orders like stated. So that leaves customers the only option of driving to the restaurant and praying they are A) open or B) the option you want is still in stock. Two, no one is actively updating the Instagram. There's a disconnect between what is taking place in the restaurant and what is being communicated live. There have been a number of times they've been out of a dish and there have been 0 updates on the Instagram. So now no phone OR socials communication. Three, they have a chownow site where you can allegedly place online orders - however, the site is literally never open for orders! It always shows orders for the following day and when that day gets here, it changes to the next day. I don't trust ordering in advance bc they keep disabling the site to receive orders. Do you see the disconnect???? This place literally blew up overnight and no one can call, place orders online OR see live updates. Then they'll randomly close in the middle of the day and you guessed it, no updates on socials. It's honestly really sad bc we love it here but if they don't fix these concerns, the business will continue to spiral. There's no reason in this day and age you should not be able to place orders prior to arriving to the restaurant. No one wants to drive 30 mins out their way for disappointment. They are severely understaffed if you ask me. Things to note: no dining inside, just enough space to order and hangout and wait. There's parking on premises but on days where it's packed, might be best to park next door at the gas station and walk over. This place has ALL the potential, but they desperately need to get up to speed!!!

So glad this place is still around!! We catered our engagement party with Juci Jerk and it was a huge hit!!! The food is just as good as I remember!! So tender and flavorful!!! Blessings you the late owner's family as they carry on his legacy!!

Ribs were excellent! Only downside was they were out of their sauce....and that was the main point of going. Staff was friendly and professional.

Awesome food and a great menu. The ribs, cabbage, and Mac & cheese are so good. Highly recommend if you've got a taste for grilled ribs and chicken.

THINGS YOU SHOULD KNOW: 1. it's right BEFORE you get to the gas station 2. Carry out ONLY 3. NO CASH is accepted 4. Salmon is on the menu on the weekends 5. It's NOT SPICY...it's FLAVORFUL 6. Place and pay for your order and go to your car. They call your name on the loud speaker. If you have lived in ATL for any length of time, you know the BEST Caribbean spots are in Stone Mountain. That being said, my favorite spot to try has pit jerk on the weekends in the afternoon. So I decided to try this one after Keith Lee's review, and WHEW IT WAS EVERYTHING!!! 1ST off they have a REAL JERK PIT... and the aroma from the pit baits you in, and if you are undecided, then try a combo. I had the Chicken & Ribs with rice and peas and cabbage. It was a leg quarter (not chopped up but cut into 4 pieces) and 4 rib bones (2 short end and 2 regular). THE FLAVOR WAS IT!!! no sauce was needed but baby add the mild sauce and it takes the flavors to another level! This food took a 40 minute ride to my house and was still hot enough to eat without reheating. I ate 2 ribs and half the chicken and still had meats and rice and peas left for a 2nd meal. The cabbage DID BOT SURVIVE the 1st setting. It was so good. I asked for hot and mild sauce....and here is where it gets tricky. The HOT is HOT...it's lighter in color than the mild with a kick that will pause you...so if you want that spicy, nose running jerk then get the hot. The MILD is the one...it's lightly sweet, super savory, and has a drop of heat. I spent $20.03 with the tax and it was worth every penny, AND the drive there and back. Definitely going back anytime I want jerk and anytime I'm in the area.

Stood in line for about 30 minutes only to be told it would be another 30-40 minutes for any chicken or ribs. I decided not to wait any longer but really wish I could have tried the food as the restaurant smelled great!

I wanted the best of both worlds: Jerk chicken and ribs. This place promised and delivered. The chicken had that authentic jerk flavor. Seasoned well but not too salty. They did not skimp on the portions. The ribs were meaty and seasoned well. They had that same charred flavor like the chicken. Good ribs don't require sauce and these fall into the category of GOOD! I put sauce on anyway because it had a sweet tangy taste that complimented the saltiness of the ribs. The rice and peas came with a chicken gravy that was a nice twist since they are usually served dry. The cabbage was nice and crunchy, not overcooked. The jerk sauce here is very good. Looking forward to returning again.

Very good.. I go here to feed my family at least twice a month.. They never miss.. They don't skimp on the seasoning either. Love it.

I've been going here since 2019 before the Keith Lee affect begun. I love it the spice just everything about this place is amazing.

What I wouldn't do for another bite of these ribs. The place is a takeout place. No where to sit and eat, but that's alright.

As a new customer yesterday, I was shown my carryout meal, but looks were deceiving. They lost me to return after serving one rib so tough and large, it was inedible. I paid $19 for ribs and chicken with too much rice/peas because they ran out of cabbage. They serve bad pieces of meat to customers so at the end of the day they can take home the best pieces.

My wife and I enjoyed our food. We ordered chicken meals (dark for me, white for her). Chicken was very tender and flavored very well. Really great portion size for what you spend. Unfortunately the service was horrible enough to make sure we never return no matter how good the food was. The wait time was communicated to us (15 min) but our wait was easily 3x as long (45 min before we were able to ask about order again) because they forgot us to the point where we were awkwardly standing there while every other customers orders were fulfilled. No one acknowledged us, or thought to ask us about our order or wait - we weren't standing there awkwardly for fun. When I got their attention to ask about our order, they looked me off a few times and when we got one ladies attention, she acted as if it were a bother. She then confirmed they forgot our order, so she then disappeared and returned with our food about 5-7 minutes later. This kind of thing happens at even the best restaurants so it would have been cool, but they offered no apology whatsoever just "here you go" without even making eye contact. Only that kind of service can make me regret tipping in advance. I hate feeling like I have to be an outspoken jerk to get decent service at businesses like this. The jerks and people who knew the staff were treated very well. Horrible experience.

Excellent and I could already tell it was going to be just by the smoker and the smell when we pulled up. Smelled just like being in Jamaica and catching someone on the roadside with the fire going. Not spicy at all, just flavorful jerk. When we arrived we were told that the food was all gone. It was 5pm on a Saturday and they said they had been extremely busy. They said to come back in one hour. I said ok, ran some errands and came back. I saw that there were cars camped out, waiting. I promptly hopped in the line At the door and about 20 people followed me out of nowhere. I got in, ordered my food and it was sent out to me after a 5 minute wait. Got home and we devoured it. I got the mild sauce and everything was delicious. Exactly the type of hole in the wall spots I love. Will be back.

This is a take out places with 4 meats. Let's clear that up right now. Now the real things to understand. I'm from the Caribbean (Barbados) via Brooklyn, NY where everyone is Caribbean. My standards for Jerk are high. This jerk is the truth!!!! I don't care-don't try them on they jerk! The chicken-ugh!! It's crazy insane hitting. Authentic and wonderful.

Yes, I saw Keith Lee's tik tok and I was influenced, lol! I got here a little after 5 and about 3 weeks after Keith Lee's visit and yes, it's still a line BUUUTTTT it moves fast. I waited less than 10 minutes to place my order at the counter. FYI, it's card only no CASH. I wanted the triple meat combo but it was a hour or more wait for the ribs. I don't know about y'all but I'm good on waiting that long for some food and I believe the cashier didn't want me to order any ribs due to her comment, "It'll be an hour or more for ribs and there are orders ahead of you". No worries I get the hint. I ordered jerk chicken and jerk pork. The jerk chicken reminded me of the jerk chicken on the side of the road in Jamaica, BUSSIN!! The jerk pork was very good also, flavorful, tender and seasoned well. Not sure the cut of pork was very good. I'm sure the ribs would taste very similar. Maybe when I'm in the area again I can try the ribs. I forgot the most important part, it took about 20-25 minutes to get my order. They will call the name given over a loud speaker that reaches the parking lot in case you go back to your car to wait. It's a tiny place so most people do not wait inside as there is no room with the orders walking in the door. I wish this place much success and it is a hidden gem for Jamaican Jerk. * I didn't get any sides just meat only.

I got the Jerk Ribs, Jerk Chicken and a lot of cabbage. Everything was good. Some of the best jerk chicken I've had in Atlanta. The Jerk Ribs was off the chain. The Jerk Sauce is good too! Only downside is this place is in Stone Mountain and that's not where I live. I'll go back if in the area

Food is delicious. I would dare to say best jerk in the area! The space is small but I attribute that to the fact that you go to order, pick up your food and move on. Sometimes the phone doesn't work, but the ladies are nice. It gets busy on the weekends and also they run out so you can wait up to 30 minutes (they let you know this before you order).

The ribs were delicious and tender. The rice was bland, they were out of cabbage. The customer service was great. 20 minute wait on chicken and ribs. Health score was 85.

Delicious! Get there early to assure you get what you want. They do run out of food towards the end of the business day but GREAT FOOD AND SERVICE!

Just a hole in the wall but the food is legit. The Mac and cheese is only available Wed-Sun and sells out quick. The ribs are plentiful and very good. Give it a try.

This is my go to jerk chicken restaurant in the area. I love their food, and their prices are reasonable. The customer service is always good here. I've never had an issue with the person taking my order, and the food comes out in a timely manner. There's no indoor seating, so all orders must be placed to-go.

Now, I love me some Juci Jerk but they did me wrong this time. The ribs and the chicken are normally beyond exquisite but this time, I ordered a large pork and an extra large ribs for an event at work. My co-worker picked up the order and not knowing what an xtra large order is, when she returned back to the office, I received one small order of ribs, no pork and a small order of rice. I'm so upset beause when you try to call the store to express your concerns, there is no answer. I love patronizing my peoples business , but I do not want to be taken advantage of. I paid a lot for that order and I did not get what I paid for so I'm very upset. Overall, because my co-workers were very impressed the the ribs that we received, I was very upset because that is not what I ordered. I will be more cautious and will pick up my own orders from now on and be sure to inspect the order before leaving the restaurant to make sure the order is correct.

Drove 40 mins to get here only to be told they were out of rice and peas, ribs, and Mac and cheese. They only have three sides on the menu and they'd only opened less than 2 hours before we arrived. It smelled really good but I will never know. I hate Atlanta for this reason.

The food here be up and down sometimes good sometimes bad. But I can tell you, the lady she's short at the front counter attitude is bad all the time and for me that's all it takes for me not to come back. I visit the place a few times in the last two times. Bad attitude I'm not going back. It was bad enough for me to leave a review.

Some of the best Jerk chicken I've had Stateside! A must try! Literally the BEST. Go early.

I will update my review when I get to try it. They can't handle the new demand and I'm unable to order I've called and stopped by and they just stop taking orders in the middle of the day.

My wife and I came here for dinner and were extremely disappointed in the food. We came because of the reviews but they are simply not true. We have had Jamaican food from all over the country and in Jamaica itself and never had I had Jerk Chicken, Jerk Pork, and Ribs that lacked taste. There was zero flavor in the meat, rice or cabbage and the only reason I am giving this place 2 stars and not one is because the employees were friendly.

The food was fye, the ribs and chicken is on point. The jerk pork was just ok tho. Also don't miss out on the sides like mac and cheese, cabbage, and rice and peas. I'm going back to try the jerk shrimp

Best Jerk in the city! Jerk chicken, jerk ribs, everything! Not a big fan of the sides. The gravy in the rice is like a white gravy that I didn't really care for the jerk is top notch! Not really any ambiance it's a grab and go kind of spot. Service is normally pretty good, they have a been much busier since keif Lee blew them up!

The first time I tried this a few years ago I did not enjoy the food and it wasn't good. I was in the area and decided to give it a second chance and it was so good. Everything was fresh and the service was great. They have strict Covid policies which is nice. Highly recommend.

I bought the large size ribs , absolutely delicious . The peas & rice with cabbage was good . The service was literally ok , I think her name is Angel (she wears a hat every time I come in) , she needs a a lesson in hospitality , the other girls are very friendly though .

We came here because of Keith Lee's recent review. We drove in from Alpharetta on Saturday 10/28/23. There wasn't a long line when we arrived but the wait for chicken and ribs was over 3 hours so we went to another restaurant in the area. We tried again on Sunday 10/29/23, arrived five minutes to 1pm and we received our food at 3:15pm. Staff is very patient and friendly and the jerk chicken is delicious. We will definitely be back.

went to Juci Jerk for lunch, i got the 3 meat sampler and it was amazing!!! The jerk chicken was flavorful, juicy and spiced just right! The ribs were not fall off thw none, they were toothy cooked to perfection and the seasoning was amazing, the pork was phenomenal, not fatty, seasoned great and had amazing flavor. There were tow sauces, one mild and one hot, both were great. I loved both and wanted more!!! The hot was not too hot and the mild was not overly sweet. Next time ill get the meal, the rice with "gravy" sounds amazing, not its not "southern gravy" its thin, full of spices/herbs and flavor!!! I cannot wait to go back!!!

You know what they say about whole in the wall places...the good is always amazing. This holds true for Juci Jerk. I am never disappointed except when they run out or there is a long line (which happens as soon as they open).

Got me some tasty covid finger lickin good take-out here. The jerk chicken classic fed my family of three (albeit one is a toddler) for just $12.70. I was impressed with both the quality and quantity in the box. The rice and peas side was also good. The order situation wasn't great as it's a tiny place inside and tough to socially distance while getting food. It also took a little longer than they said it would be overall was still pretty fast.

My daughter and I tried Juci Jerk on a whim and it was delicious. The service was great, they ran out of ribs and I got the chicken and pork instead. The portions were good and the flavor was amazing. The staff was very pleasant as well

I got the large jerk chicken for $12.50 and it was SO good. It was cooked perfectly and they have a barbecue sauce that you could put on there, I'm not sure if it's homemade or not but the sauce was really good as well! This place is really tiny, it's more of a order to-go kinda place but they have their own parking lot and the staff is really nice too! I live in the city so I'm not sure when's the next time I'll come back, but whenever I'm in the area I'll def stop by for a bite! You NEED your ID if you're planning to pay with card.

jerk ribs are the best thang on the as long as they come from juci jerk make sure to get plenty of the bbq sauce
